Brunchs et petits déjeuners gourmands
This place had been on my list for a really long time and I'm happy I was able to go on my last trip to Montreal. The staff are very friendly and both food and drinks were delicious. They had quite the options on the menu and the ones we ordered did not disappoint. The portions were pretty good and we left so full and satisfied. They get quite busy but you can snag a seat if you come early!
Best brunch ever!everybody go there please, no matter how long you have to wait. You will never be regretted. Order champi please. Best mushroom ever, best kids oatmeal ever.
Nice place! Very popular. I recommend you arrive the moment they open to avoid line ups. Service was warm and well attentioned Food was very good! Portions huge, we couldn’t finish our plates 😴 Atmosphere is trendy chic. Cool place for breakfast or brunch ☺️ worth the detour!
Régine Café is a Montreal brunch spot you can’t miss! I visited during my trip and had to wait about 30 minutes since I didn’t have a reservation, so I’d recommend booking in advance. The place is small and cozy, and the food was absolutely worth the wait—so flavorful and unique. No surprise it made Canada’s top 100 places to eat in 2023. A must-visit if you’re in town!
Stepping into Régine Café feels like walking into the home of your favorite aunt😋 the one who greets you with warmth, spoils you, and makes you feel truly special. I ordered the 📌Doré d’été, which is a beautiful combination of brioche bread topped with haskap and blueberry jam, sweet clover mascarpone, berries, and pistachios. The blueberry jam is perfectly balanced!!! Not overly sweet and it doesn’t leave that sticky feeling, even after indulging. Every bite felt light and fresh!😋 We also shared 📌A Little Bit of This and That: Sweet Treats, and it was perfect for 2-3 people. It includes a delightful selection of breads, pastries, and toppings like “crème brûlée style” yogurt, mascarpone cream, banana butter, peanut crunch, jam, and chocolate sauce. The homemade peanut butter sauce was the highlight for me, so creamy and rich!! The whole experience at Régine Café is enchanting and worth every visit. The ambiance, food, and service make it a magical spot.
The environment and atmosphere is really good. We arrived at around 9:30am on Sun and we didn’t need to queue up, but there was a long line when we left at 11am. The food was normal and the portion was big. The plating was decent and nice. I got Champi which I thought quite good at first few mouth, but I started to felt salty and greasy when I ate half of that. The smashed potatoes was not those very smooth ones, but it was still not bad. I also ordered 60% hot chocolate and it was quite good, just a drawback that I felt like they didn’t completely melt all chocolate - I can still find pieces of chocolate bits at the bottom. Worth a try.
I had brunch here with my friends, and it was an excellent experience! We waited a little while in line, but it was definitely worth it. Champi 4.5/5 Sautéed mushrooms, I substituted with a Scotch egg—pretty good. The bread was a bit hard. Oeuf et Boeuf 5/5 ❤️ My favorite! Eggs Benedict with ultra-tender braised beef cheeks on an English muffin. The sauce was delicious. Chic Croissant 4/5 The croissant was very crispy, with shredded chicken inside, which was very tender. Gâteau du Jour 3.5/5 The daily cake was carrot cake. My friends weren’t too fond of the cinnamon flavor, but I found it no bad. The cream was a bit tangy, which I liked. Mokaccino 5/5 ❤️ How can this be so delicious? The roasted marshmallow brought a unique experience. Eating a bite of the marshmallow first and then sipping the coffee is a different experience compared to the marshmallow melted into the coffee. I even discovered chocolate added at the bottom of the cup! Such a rich flavors and surprising coffee! Hot Chocolate 3/5 In comparison, it lacked rich flavors and was mostly just sweet. Matcha Latte 3/5 The matcha flavor was strong. The portions of each dish were generous, and everything tasted great. The coffee was particularly surprising, and they even offered a complimentary aperitif. The restaurant is also very beautiful, making it an enjoyable experience overall. Highly recommended!
Wow, this place is fantastic! A friend from Montreal took us here, and the food was super tasty. Every dish was beautifully crafted, and we tried a bunch of different plates, all of which were delicious. The staff were really professional too. The spot is a bit small, and we ended up sitting near the washrooms, which wasn't ideal, but given the limited space, there wasn't much they could do. The washrooms are also quite tiny, so be prepared for that. But honestly, the food more than makes up for it. I had the beef and egg, which was perfect, and the avocado toast and mushroom plate were awesome too. Highly recommend!
Good service, well trained staff. Bread full of butter, mashed potatoes too seasoned, salty, bacon and jambon salty. Overall, need to revise combination on the dish, too salty for us. It is breakfast, not expecting to have salty food.
wow !!
I dont have enough stars to say how much I like this place. While we were waiting in the lobby, we were served a juice. What a nice touch. Its an experience to find your way around as much by the cuisine as by the atmosphere. Dont hesitate to stop there, you will be charmed!
Its good, its beautiful, its pleasant.
The best place for lunch
Without any doubt. Best breakfast in Montreal. It s not only about the food. It s the whole experience. Food
the atmosphere and service was really good!!! the food was good but lea especially made the experience/food to be exceptional. really appreciate her for this particular dining experience!
This is hands down the best brunch spot I ve visited in Montreal! Every single item on the plate was fresh, perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the CHAMPI, and it was incredible highly recommended for mushroom lovers. The Oeuf et Boeuf was equally outstanding, and the mimosa was spot-on. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Can t wait to return! Vegetarian options: Champi
great food and great services
An incredible brunch! Beautiful, good, with an excellent and pleasant service. A delight for the eyes and for the taste. I highly recommend.
Finely mounted plates, food quality 10/10. A high-level lunch restaurant if you want to impress someone this is the perfect place. Not much space in the restaurant so perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête. Parking: We were parked on a diagonal street for free.
I consider Régine to be one of the best brunches in Montreal! Tasty menu choice, friendly service and super nice atmosphere. Perfect place for brunch with family (suitable for children) or with friends. L
Okay well where to start?! First thing first, I don t recommend. I went there last week with a friend to finally try this brunch place. The guy who was taking our names when we were waiting in line, was kind and polite. The food has NO taste! It is soooo bland and definitely not worth the price. It tastes like nothing, I am not sure if seasoning, including salt, pepper are used in the kitchen. The bread was stale, it was really bad. Now, regarding the service: we felt rushed the whole time. The server made us a feel like we were supposed to leave literally as I taking my last bite. It hasn t even been a full hour since we sat down!!!! When he was taking the plates and asked if he can bring the bills right away, I asked him what was the allocated time to eat and he answered: 2 hours. He was looking at us the whole time even after we paid as we kept talking to each other. We didn t exceed our time and left. Overall, we felt very rushed, not welcome and top of it, the food was unbelievably distasteful. Other reviews stated the same and they were true. We will certainly not be returning and highly suggest anyone to trust reviews. The owner also doesn t seem to care much as previous reviews stated the same things few years back and nothing seems to have changed since!
Excellent brunch! Perfect with a child! Kid-friendliness: Cookies to decorate, games, pencils and high chair
What an incredible treat. Beautiful setting, service is professional and friendly and the food is excellent. The plates are big so you may want to share and try a variety of things. Love, love love Régine Cafe. Food
you must go here. long line but totally worth, they can take your name instead of having to wait in the cold Vegetarian options: the mushroom bread and the zucchini bread were incredible!!
We were sitting on the edge of the windows and people in the queue were looking in. There was even a young man who contorted himself to read the menu on our table. The waiting time of 30 minutes to 90 minutes is shorter for couples than threesomes or foursomes. Someone came to bring us a cup of hot tea outside in the queue. The welcome and service are courteous and professional. The dining experience was disappointing. The Champi plate tastes good but visually the megaportion of mushrooms in a brown sauce is off-putting. The red pepper coulis was invisible. The other plate was a dish of the day which consisted of slices of smoked meat served on a brioche and sauerkraut bath. The apple butter was a very thin drizzle. The 2nd slice of brioche bread was dry and without any toppings.
Nothing to complain about. The plates are generous and tasty. The service team is very efficient while remaining human. The decor is so cute and its always packed.
A wait of almost 2 hours outside for 3 people on a Sunday around 11am. They serve tea in the queue which I found very good! When we reached the corner, heat lamps kept us warm. We offered my mother a chair and often came outside to see if everyone was OK. The service was quick at our table. 3 different dishes and you can enjoy all 3! Big portions!
From start to finish, the experience was beyond our expectations, whether it was the chocolate tasting, the zucchini bread with cashew humus and poached eggs or the succulent and magnificent carrot cake from the pastry chef, every time. mouthful we had our eyes closed! Vegetarian options: Some dishes available
I give it 6 stars out of 5, it was a delight. The service, food and dessert were excellent. I had a plate with mushrooms (Champi), a latte and a carrot cake. Simply wow wow
A great brunch to do. The service is really great, all the staff take great care, the dishes are super good. We can go there with our eyes closed
I really liked the place. I had breakfast there and frankly we want to eat everything on the menu. My friend and I had a great time. Just a small downside, I gave the service four stars because I asked for a (large) extra bacon and they didnt give it to me. So I found it a little unpleasant that I had placed my order, but it was not completely honored. Special mention for the hot chocolate to make yourself, I was very surprised by the Chamallow in the hot chocolate. This is incredible so I will make my hot chocolates again with Chamallows in them.
Great brunch with fresh, homemade products, really delicious! The service is impeccable, but be careful, there is a huge queue on weekends, so plan on waiting at least 1 hour. Luckily they are super friendly and offer tea and blankets to make the wait more pleasant. Its a little pricey, but the quality and experience is well worth it. Its definitely worth it He provides coloring for children too
I went today to try eggs and beef which the review talks about so well, but found it not good, it wasnt even hot, it seems the sketched potatoes didnt have Wasnt made today, eggs werent to taste, meat was sooo, lots of bread and overall far from what I expected. The orange juice is so small, just a small taca with what looks like an orange there for $6.50 tastes fresh but not dignified for such a small cup. Well, the best part is that at least I didnt have to wait in a long queue for it, so it would be more cheating. I usually choose to buy the review and the rating that I think from now on it has changed because it doesnt mean much. Whats good for me may not be good for you. Taste is taste. But the people who work there seem nice and smilling :) but I went there more for the food which I found expensive for what I got.
I had already been to Janine in Verdun several times and I knew the quality and creativity of the menu there. We find the same atmosphere and the same very high standards in this sister restaurant. Definitely worth visiting for a decadent, distinguished and creative lunch at an affordable price!
Its a beautiful brunch spot. The line was surprisingly fast, the wait pleasant unhurried and attentive. A little crowded inside but the seats are comfortable and they dont rush you. Food platters are massive. I got the waffles and smoked salmon and it was delicious the portions generous. Soft boiled egg done just right. Mushrooms with bearnaise sauce is served in a gravy boat theres so much of it. Cocktail list is classy and tea selection well chosen.
What a beautiful place for brunch! The staff is smiling and attentive at all times. Exquisite food. The price is surprising given the quality of the menu and the perfect cooking. I recommend this place without any hesitation!
Amazing food and service. Queue outside after 10h30. Amex not accepted (September 2024). Food : 5/5
Its worth the detour, generous plates made with love!
its good but its really big plates
Multiple choices, great plating, chic interior decor, generous portion! And all of them are above expectation! Lovely Brunch place I would recommend, though be ready for the line: I usually wait for 30min to an hour :(
I cant wait to go back
Dietary restrictions: Many nut content dishes, but super tasty! Food
The servers are amazing. We received personalized service from them and we felt like we were at home with family.
We went to brunch at this restaurant this Sunday for the first time because of the good reviews we had seen but we were very disappointed by the server Samuel! We felt like we were bothering him every time we wanted something. A milk hot chocolate that took forever to arrive and we received a moccacino instead, we werent even comfortable complaining about it being so cold. We didnt like his attitude towards us at all. This will probably be the first and last time.
Very lovely place with unique and delicious brunch! Must go place
Delicious brunch with generous portions.
The service was great, the food was unique and delicious and the venue is very cute and cozy
It seems like a simple cappuccino was too complicated to prepare, at the ideal temperature of 55-65ºC. I requested a cappuccino that arrived cold. The waitress promptly requested another one. The next cappuccino arrived with a mess of chocolate which was not requested. Once more, the cappuccino was cold which the waitress acknowledged by touching the cup. I frequent a visit to Regine s an average of 6 or more times a year always receiving great service. The meals are usually scrumptious, but again, a meal without a good cup of coffee is yet to be desired. Unfortunately the lack of experience the barista showed was only the tip of the iceberg. After the first mistake, the waitress should have taken the time to make sure that a second mistake would not be prevalent. Unfortunately her lack of excellence was also tried which in turn , I endured a less than formidable guest experience.
Everything about this place is delightful. The decor is upscale with a touch of whimsy, the dishes are inventive and scrumptious, and the service is attentive and pleasant.
So beautiful, so good, so pleasant! I have been there more than ten times and I am still pleasantly surprised each time. The service is always impeccable. The tiny vase of fresh flowers on the table is a very nice touch. The only negative point is the impossibility of booking on weekends. Its a shame, because you have to be prepared to queue outside for 30-45 minutes (I already waited 1 hour 15 minutes, in February... lunch was worth it, but it was very cold!!)
A good looking restaurant, European style for the decoration. There are many tables so it looks too crowded. Service is great. Food is more like a breakfast or brunch. Champi is an awesome dish. Mushrooms are soaked in a brown sauce. Very delicious. Grilled cheese is yummy too. Crunchy bread with melted cheese. Croq Madame is interesting. They separate everything in your dish. However, our daughter loves this dish. Fresh pressed orange juice is also delicious. They also serve us a welcome drink which is nice too. They won t allow you to reserve a table if you have more than 6 people though. We have to go there by ourselves and check if there will be sn available table for us.
Amazing place, delicious food, professional service, beautiful ambience, great experience. Thanks Regine!
I find this place to be completely over-rated. The decor is cheap and the food is good but its not worth the queue.
Lovely cafe! We went on a Thursday morning when it was raining and there was still a 40 minute line. They do offer umbrellas and tea in line though. Food was amazing.
Actually my n#1 place to brunch in the neighborhood of Rosemont Petite Patrie. Very cool admosphere, the food doesn t change but it is always tasteful and plentiful. And just to mention the fresh pressed orange juice the only place where I can have that
Vegetarian options: 2 options vegan et quelques options végétariennes ! Food
I was so Impressed by this place the food,The service, the decor was just perfect. I will be back thats for sure.
Be prepared to wait in line. Tasty food, but not my favorite brunch. Nice and pretty atmosphere. Excellent service.
Unmissable!
An unforgettable sister reunion brunch experience was given by Région café. Atmosphère is just right for chic us. And services is good. At beginning they let us try this sample juice is freshly made. Food r all good at good portion an price. Around $25 for each of our plate and we are all over fed! Definitely will go back again for a relaxing girls morning.
An experience that lives up to its reputation. Very courteous service and delicious food
The food is always delicious and service always dependable, no matter how busy.
Impeccable! Exceptionnel!
Noisy
Beautiful building with amazing food, delicious beverages (I reccomend their fresh smoothies, sooo yummy), and excellent service in both English and French!! 10/10 reccomend as a breakfast and lunch staple while in Montreal!
Always a bit of a line up to get in, but always worth the wait! Qualify food, quick service and nice atmosphere
Régine is a classic, excellent food and it delights us every time. The only big downside is the waiting time while observing dozens of empty seats in the restaurant. Yes, because obviously we have the view inside during our 50 minutes of waiting. What comes to mind is that the staff wants to take their time and the queue outside makes the place still seem fashionable and cool for a Linup who hangs around the corner. Loss of one star for this reason.
Tres belle experience
We have heard good feedback about this place for a while so we decided it was finally time to give it a try. There was no waiting time at all, it was a Monday morning . The decorations went you step in are beautiful ,it gives you that french vibe . The greeting was very warmful as well. As for the meals, my wife and I ordered Le sucré sale and uf et boeuf. The uf and boeuf was ok, I think it lasted taste , in my opinion , more flavour would had been great . I did try my wife plate as well. I had the same impression as mine, hers had the sweet and salty taste, although you needed the sauce to make it flavorful otherwise ,it was bland , in my opinion . Nonetheless ,the service was amazing.
Absolutely spectacular breakfast, even the kids plate of oatmeal was extraordinary! Decor is fabulous, food fantastic and original, even the coffee is very good. There is always a lineup, and we know why! This, with passé composé and Salmigondis, are the three best breakfast restaurants in the city, and probably world class.
Perfect imaginative and tasty brunches plus the service is impeccable!! Better to book!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available
The place is gorgeous and the dishes look / sound awesome BUT the food was overrated and overpriced! I had an avocado toast that had brown avocado gross and disappointing. I wish the cook and or server would have had the instinct to not serve it as it was super apparent. Unfortunately, I did not have the guts to say anything. It lacked flavour also. Don t get me wrong, the experience was fun, no doubt, but not enough to repeat.
Tried egg and beef as their most popular plate but the bread and meat were tasting something special Maybe not my preference but overall it worth to try it once Food
The best brunch cafe ever. Love the ambience and it was totally worth the 30-40 mins wait outside in line. The staff was nice and the food was amazzzzzing!
Great family friendly brunch which delicious food! Can t wait to come back!
Grilled cheese on pistachio bread and aged cheddar! Delicious, but I would have appreciated tasting the bread, given the very strong taste of the cheese it didnt taste like pistachio. Otherwise everything is perfect! Im going to go back to taste the other meals
Me and my family had a wonderful dining experience. It is certain that we will refer your restaurant to all our friends from Saguenay Lac-St-Jean when they visit Montreal. Thank you to your entire team for your warm welcome. It was great! Kid-friendliness: Yes
One of the best brunches Ive had! The service is impeccable and the staff very warm. Thank you very much for this great experience!
The best brunch I ever had!
Excellent experience! Everything was delicious, good portions and very good service! You might have to wait a bit to get a place for lunch, but its worth it!
Love the food and the atmosphere.. highly recommend!
Very nice restaurant, very crowded, if you dont have a reservation you need to wait a long time, but its worth it
Perfect!
If you want a lunch that meets your expectations, youve come to the right place. The plates are both magnificent and tasty. Impeccable service and incredible London atmosphere. You have to go try it!
Just perfect !
Beef with muffin, mushroom, hot chocolate coffee with marshmallow is good.
Great top. Top service. A little noisy.
Always a delight and a treat to go there. Disappointed to share the secret, but I cant help it, you all already know it
definitely one of the best brunch spots in montreal (honestly, maybe even better than toronto too)? the Champi (mushroom toast) with the scotch egg is the most popular dish, with good reason. highly recommend you try and experience this for yourselves. 10/10 the sucré salé is also quite good. 9.4/10
Excellent welcome, excellent menu!
I give 5 stars but would give 10 if it were possible.
Amazing place. Fully conveys the atmosphere of French Canada
Always wonderful brunch there If I had the means, I would go every time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Delicious food I love the place, comfortable and beautiful
2nd: carrot cake was delicious Great vibe and decorations! Good food but not amazing for me. Food
Very good restaurant and impeccable service
This place never disappoints!
Best breakfast experience in Montreal! The food was just amazing, the egg benedict enrobed in chorizo with a fried panko shell Everything thing just tasted delicious. The experience is worth every dollar. And the Cake of the day, a carrot cake was just perfect, not those unfrozen piece of cake you get at many restaurant, and its for 2. The ambiance, the service was top notch, was worth the wait (40 minutes), no reservation on weekends. For the breakfast aficionados, Régine Café is a must!
Impeccable service, very welcoming and professional. The menu is varied but the prices are quite high. It is possible to find better for less. Almost $40 for a coffee and toast. However, the portions are generous for some of the plates. It depends on tastes and budgets! The avocado toast is well garnished and very fresh; but nothing extraordinary.
5* lunches. Great service. Everything is made on site. I loved it and cant wait to go back.
Its good but a little too expensive for my taste...
For me it is the best brunch address in Montreal. The menu is varied, the dishes are fine, elaborate and delicious. The place is charming and the service excellent. Still a queue but they take reservations. I highly recommend!
I loved it!!!! Everything is excellent. Good menu, different choices, good portions, good service, and the decoration is beautiful.
Not bad. Food is good. Too expensive and too far.
Yes yes yes, we went because their reviews were good, the food is quality, their customer service as well. We arrived right at 10 am and waited for 15 min. But after that the wait does seem to be long. Lots of attention to detail. The price does seem coherent with everything to get. We left very satisfied with our experience
The brunch is always incredibly delicious with good portions, with a lovely atmosphere, prices are also good for what you get, definitely a great spot for brunch
Best brunch of my life!!! Very nice restaurant, long queue outside but which passes quickly thanks to the numerous seats. We ordered an Americano and a Baileys coffee to start. Excellent Americano, large and hot, Baileys coffee warm and low in alcohol (magnificent whipped cream on the other hand) as a starter, crème brulée style yogurt and sautéed mushrooms. Iiinnnincredibly delicious both!!! We also had a tasty basil cocktail!!! the chic croissant plate for my sweet and the sweet and savory for me. WOW!!!! Huge portions and more than sufficient quality!!! The divine ham and the sugar and cream sauce to die for. Perfect brioche bread!; flaky butter croissant, a great delight!!! Sautéed mushrooms are a must in my opinion if you like mushrooms... come in a cream and are very tasty!! As it should be! Honestly, with the exception of the special coffee, everything is incredible. My place without hesitation!!! 1 basil drink 1 Americano 1 Baileys coffee 1 creme brulee yogurt 1 sautéed mushrooms 1 chic croissant 1 sweet and savory ... 2 shots of juice at the start + 1 iced tea in line, with outstanding service and smiles!!, all for $98!!! Wow
Atmosphere, decor, service and meals, everything was perfect. The menu is a departure from the classics, which feels good. And the pulled ham is delicious.
I just realized myself ordering almost the same setup here as I did at Janine Café. So to be fair, I think the food here in Régine tastes better. The service as well. Chic croissant is also really good. I was so impressed by Régine and then I went to Janine maybe with a bit higher expectations
the waitresses are so nice, delicious brunch
Super nice lunch restaurant in the Rosemont district. The decor is typical of English tea rooms: it is magnificent! The servers are friendly and the menu is very inviting. Be careful, going there once will encourage you to come back again and AGAIN hehe. I highly recommend it. Take note that on weekends, its super busy. So, please choose the week for your visit.
I recently visited Régine Café, and it was a fantastic experience! Be prepared for a wait, but the staff makes it pleasant by offering umbrellas and hot drinks. Once we got inside, the atmosphere was charming with its English tea room vibe. The food was absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. Regine Cafe is an unique brunch experience in Montreal, and I highly recommend to give it a try if youre in the area.
Very good brunch, in a very beautiful place. Attentive and smiling service.
Great experience! Definitely one of the best brunches in Montreal. We were very well received and Paul the manager was very welcoming and very helpful. Thank you again for this welcome.
This eclectic place is a wonderful culinary experience. All the menu looks good and choosing a plate is a difficult task! Weekdays are better because the line up on weekends are long. Even in winter.
Incredibly surprised . Impeccable service, impeccable food. Nothing to say!
Excellent services and tasty food
Whats to say? Its all perfect with great decor
Food is sooooo good! Worth every penny. Recommend scotch eggs.
The darkness is too good
Régine in Verdun and Janine in Montreal, these are the best places for brunch in my opinion on all counts!!
After a long stay in the hospital I wanted to treat myself by going to Régine café, there was a wait outside, 20 minutes according to an employee who came to take the names of the people waiting for their turn, she told me seen with a cane (Im young) I admit that I already had a lot of difficulty staying up for more than 2 minutes, I thought about asking him if I could wait in my car, but before I said what whether she noticed the cane and offered me a chair, wow, not only that but she didnt want to leave me in the cold she made room for me in the entrance hall, and m called when my real turn had come, for me it was an excellent service but also with a lot of kindness, inside everyone has a function, more than perfect service and a delicious brunch, well done your excellent service only increases over the years :)
The best place for brunch in town! Always great service and the food is amazing!
The place is worth the detour (and the wait when you dont have a reservation). We went on a Monday so we didnt have to wait too long, but on Sunday the line was very long. The menu is interesting and tasty. The waffle with smoked salmon was delicious. And what about the Scottish Egg
Went early on a weekend since they don t do reservations on weekends and happy to report the wait was worth it but also wasn t very long, they ve got a decent amount of seating and fast service, so things go quickly but when inside I never felt rushed the perfect combo. Food was excellent very filling and wonderfully strong flavours well balanced and just like at its sister location Janine I love the little juice shot you get at the beginning. The decor is eclectic but fun and definitely gives the whole experience a great vibe will definitely be coming back!
A great discovery, I recommend booking before going. Parking: As its in Montreal and you have to find parking you can expect to walk a bit but its worth it
Excellent brunch restaurant
Still delicious after all these years. The mochas with homemade marshmallows are amazing. All the dishes I have tasted are great.
Amazing and atmospheric place for brunch! Large and fulfill portions, the baked goods are also fine. Our small group was lucky enough to get a table without much wait, but it probably is better to make a reservation in advance, as later we spotted a queue at the entrance.
First visit on a public holiday. We had to wait but it was reasonable and worth it. Excellent coffee. Beautiful and delicious, creative and hearty lunches. Original decor and excellent service. We recommend it with enthusiasm.
Great atmosphere and the service staff are great and very professional. The food tastes great too.
Delicious brunch (and very generous quantities) the staff is attentive and smiling, it s a pleasure to have service of this quality! This is one of our best addresses!!
The single most delicious savoury brunch we ever had! Prices are low for the quality & quantity! Service is on point and super fast. We had the Oeuf et Boeuf super good and the Tartine Chorizo which was a big highlight for us! The complexity of taste was amazing for this one. Highly recommend and will be back soon!
Wow, simply magnificent as a place and atmosphere! The dishes are sophisticated and delicious! Some points to improve that I would bring for the future: The cretons that were on my plate were still cold (not defrosted enough) so difficult to spread. We had to wait a good 15 minutes at the end of the meal to get our bill. It was 2:50 a.m. in the restaurant (closing at 3 a.m.). There werent many customers left and I looked around for the staff. Maybe they were busy preparing for the shutdown. I finally got up to go ask for the bill. I also wanted to bring back my plate because there were a lot of leftovers (we cant say that the quantity and quality of the meal is less!) I like it when the shopkeepers leave us the box so that we can make our own doggy bag ! This time, it was the waitress who packed everything but I was disappointed to notice that she had not put everything in my box. Only the beautiful aesthetic pieces to bring back. I had the equivalent of a whole clementine left on my plate and plenty of leftovers (enough to make me a good lunch the next day) and I was disappointed to realize that there was almost nothing in my box. So if you want to bring back your food, tell your waiter/waitress if you want to bring back your entire plate or not. All in all, a great experience and it wont stop me from returning to this cafe in the future.
THE place for lunch that is out of the ordinary
While we were waiting in the long line they brought out blankets and hot Earl Gray tea. The food is delicious! Food
This is a more upscale breakfast place, with very delicious food, amazing atmosphere and decor!
What a disappointment! I went there and it was an accumulation of bad service. First there were dirty cutlery, yes yes with food residue on it. Then we order mimosas and we receive the glasses all sticky.... The drink had leaked on the outside of the glasses and they didnt bother to wipe them before serving them. Then my friend ordered a coffee which she ultimately NEVER received. We really felt neglected for such an inexpensive place. Paid over a hundred dollars to receive such poor service never again.
good portions and cake of the day
Although we didnt really understand why we were made to wait in line in the cold, outside while the majority of tables inside were free at that early hour (9am), once seated, it was a wonderful experience. We had the Cabane à Sucre plate, a cinnamon brioche, the panko and chorizo egg and an apricot and Earl Gray scone. Everything was really very good and well prepared. The apple cider-glazed ham and the cinnamon brioche were our favorites. The filter coffee could be better, however, considering the price (over $3!). Its not a good coffee. Perhaps we should have opted for a cappuccino but hey... This is the big negative point: Very ordinary filter coffee. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the plates and the ingredients used. The bowl of fruit yogurt looked really good too, we often saw it passed to other tables and next time Ill try that. Overall, great lunch experience. We will return there. Parking: You must park in the surrounding streets
I love this place! The prices are certainly a little high but the dishes are plentiful and the service impeccable. Chic and retro decor, prefer weekday meals with reservations on weekends to endless queues! Enjoy your food!
I deeply love this place...the succulent and well-crafted menu. The chic and relaxed atmosphere, impeccable service. I love you Aunt Régine!
Delicious, adapted the dish to my liking, family friendly, excellent service and great portions!
An atmosphere, food and a careful welcome for a successful experience!
I had un peu de tout, and it was by far the best brunch Ive ever had in my life. Everything, down to the minutest details, was perfect: the service, the food quality, the hospitality, etc. I would love to go there again and again. They were so considerate that they served hot tea to people who were waiting in line. I cant say enough about the lovely time they provided for us.
IMPECCABLE ALL THROUGHOUT Kid-friendliness: YES
First experience in this restaurant really not disappointed! The quality and freshness of the food used is undeniable. It was really very good. The decor with a super original concept and the very courteous service.
Nice place. Good quality food with some interesting twists. Very expensive for breakfast.
I went twice this year. Food is good, ambience is really nice and the service is pleasant. We had to wait outside for our table and it was chilly. They brought us tea to warm us up. Would go again.
My partner and I loved Régine café The welcome was warm, the decor is chic and the atmosphere relaxed, the service is impeccable, the dishes are copious, tasty and reasonably priced. We recommend this cafe and will return
This morning I enjoyed the quality of Régine s cuisine for the first time, an exceptional culinary experience with delicious dishes and high-quality service. The variety of dishes offered, the freshness of the ingredients, and the pleasant atmosphere contributed to making our brunch memorable.
Wonderful culinary experience, good service, generous quantity for all these criteria I recommend this restaurant.
The decor is really nice as is the service. A must in gastronomic destinations
Congratulations, its very good
I loved having lunch at Regina! It was cold outside and a line had formed, the waitress came to offer us tea to keep us warm which was unexpected and very generous. Im not a big fan of the interior decor, but the food was impeccable!
Tasty and sought-after brunch cuisine. The dishes are good and plentiful. On the other hand, the prices are a little excessive for certain dishes. We also pay for the setting which is very charming and cozy but still. Great options for people with gluten intolerance! I recommend that you go during the week by reserving, this will save you from a queue which can be treeeeeeeeeees long.
Came on a Friday for lunch. There were no lineups. The food was great! I had uf et beuf, huge portion size. It s served over English muffins which seem to be home made, soft and fresh compared to the store bought English muffins. Everything was sitting over top a bed of mushed potatoes, with perfectly poached eggs and great sauce. The beef was easily pull off and melt away with other things. Great service, waited for about 5 mins to be seated, food came in less than 10 mins. Highly recommend, I would definitely come back to try other things next time.
This is my favourite breakfast spot in Montreal. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The gluten-free options are decadent. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Take a look at their menu online before going. Dietary restrictions: Great options for gluten free diets
Excellent brunch, choice for all tastes
Always full, you have to be patient, although it is one of the best meals I have had in Canada, I consider that there are areas of opportunity in the drinks and the brioche, I didnt like mimosas since the juice was very acidic and the brioche was too dry. The portions are a challenge, I took almost half to take away and they didnt give us a paper bag to take away.
Always a great pleasure to have lunch at Régine café!! Everything is delicious!!
Gorgeous brunch spot that you MUST visit when in Montreal! The dishes are familiar yet innovative, just like how the decor is cozy and edgy. They offered us hot tea while we waited in line on a cold day, which was a great touch! I don t think you can go wrong with any option from the menu, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. But that grilled cheese with beef cheek is still in my dreams
Amazing food!nice ambiance!
I recommend this place for a lunch as a couple, with a small group of friends or with your family. Its delicious and attentive service.
Its been a long time I havent been. But I love this restaurant
Lunches that are unusual and tasty. Quality products. Listening service. On the other hand, you shouldnt be in a hurry. Plates take longer to come out than traditional lunch restaurants. So the perfect place to enjoy and get together!
Every time I go to Régine , I am surprised by the explosions of flavors in the dishes but my last visit really amazed me. I ordered a CHAMPI dish, it was poached eggs with a caramelized mushroom coulis on thick toast, it was good for those who like the strong taste of mushrooms. But to my astonishment, a 5cm hair and another one cm hair were found in my assistant. I was embarrassed because I had never experienced this at Régine before. I call the friendly waitress and she apologizes, asking if I would like to change dishes or receive the same dish. This had ruined my appetite so I opted for a new dish with brighter colors so that I could see if there might be another foreign fiber.... I had a plate of salmon with waffles, which tasted very refreshing in the mouth. I ask for the bill and the waitress tells me that the restaurant invited me!!!! I have never been invited to a restaurant because there was a hair on my plate, in fact the last restaurant I went to and there was a hair in the assist....I was charged for it. prorated plate....anything!!! So I didnt have any cash, I absolutely wanted to tip the friendly waitress, by making a purchase for $0.01 I was able to do it via interac. In short, thank you again Régine for this gesture, it was very appreciated. I would have given 10 stars for customer service that day!!!
What a place! I never expected to bump into such a lovely joint. I was in the area and had a couple of hours to kill so started looking around. And I am so glad I went in! Their selection is so so good. I had their scone and cinnamon roll and honestly fell out of my chair. The server was so lovely! I would highly recommend this if you are in the area!
Delicious food and mimosas
Simply wow!!! From waiting outside to when one of the hosts directs us to the table, we are treated with great care. They even bring us tea outside and blankets if needed. Once inside everything is impeccable: the decor, the service and especially the food, I give it 5/5!!!!
