A treat to crow about!!!!!!

Just had a regular poutine here and it satisfied the craving but it was nothing too special! Prices are a little more the expensive side compared to a few other places Ive tried

To start off, Great food, the chicken was so flavorful and juicy, the onion rings were just YUM, the service was great, and it was so nice to have the owner take the time to come greet us at our table, Love, Love, Love, my colleague/friend Sean who is the cousin of one of the owners of the spot invited me to eat at this neighborhood gem and I will definitely be back.

First time ordering there since I am new to the area, however will not be ordering again. The fries tasted like old oil, the sauce tasted like colored water. The chicken was ok; All in all not worth the $25

My family and I ate here a few weeks back and I must say that the food was delicious. A great find. The coleslaw was great, the chicken tasty and we all ate plenty with the generous portions we were given. The vegetable soup tastes like my mother-in-laws, which was wonderful. The only downside was the service, in which the waitress was very kind but she was always hidden behind the soda machine and was on her cell phone so I had to get up from our table and get her about a dozen times throughout our meal since she couldnt hear me calling. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Crispy chicken salad was not great.

I ordered a chicken and 2 sauces. It was almost 34$. No fries no slaw no bread. I was shocked by the the tiny sized chicken. This was truly a huge disappointment. Sorry but I guess I didn t think properly as the girl asked me do I want fries or bread and that probably would have costed 55$. Not worth the money at all. Chicken was meh sauce came cold and thick like slush. What a total disappointment. Never again. IGA makes a better BBQ. I know restaurants need to make a living I get that. But sadly a huge disappointment. And the driver received 5$ tip. Not Uber. Thank goodness.

I used to be a big fan of this place in the days where Frank owned the place. The care and attention to taste, seasoning, freshness, portions were amazing. Since passing on to his two employees the place has improved somewhat by improving the menue (albeit with a lot of frozen ready made products) and changing the interior - though motivated by a fire but kudos on the refresh as it was done properly. Problem these days is quality control on the fresh chicken. Poorly tasting, not fresh and hot, seasoning lacking, bbq sauce inconsistent, Cole slaw inconsistent, salad often with brown spots. Pricing has gotten so high that there are too many substitutes for this restaurant and I elect to go elsewhere. At the end of the day we have moved back to Chalet BBQ on Sherbrooke street west. Chicken is flavourful and fries are perfect and slaw excellent.

Good food and amazing service. You cant get rotisserie chicken and service quite like this anymore. Mac N Cheese bites are always a big hit at home as well.

I ordered smoked meat poutine, which I really liked; the other thing I tried was chicken wings coming with fries, which I wont order again since its a bit pricy for that quality, I didnt like the fries. I also tried the chicken, which this restaurant believes they are well-known for, which was good also.

Half chicken undercooked. Fries dried and not fresh. Decent sauce and coleslaw. Unlike the 70s, 80s and 90s, the quality has declined considerably over the last ten years unfortunately.

Friendly staff, quick service, and great food. The CSL Burger is the best chicken burger Ive had, and nothing on the menu has disappointed so far.

Took out what I remembered to be great rotisserie chicken, it was good, but not great and the family dinner was missing the second roll and sauce. So I guess they were rushed and neglected to include them. Fries were their usual crispy and greasy goodness.

Delicious chicken, moist without being too fatty and well-roasted skin. Very tasty soft and sweet poutine fries type fries. Fast service at the counter in just a few minutes. The only downside is the sauce, fortunately served separately. I may have tried their roast chicken on a day when there was a problem with this sauce (this Saturday around 4 p.m.). Because there was too much nutmeg, it looked like a cold remedy. It was very liquid and not very salty, as if cut with water, and no flavor emerged behind the nutmeg taste.

the half chicken is half of maybe a some sweatshop tiny chicken. It is the side of a Pigeon. You might aswell just buy a whole chicken from IGA or Adonis. The fries were undercooked and greasy Raw. The bbq sauce was tasteless. it is weird to describe it. They only gave one slice of a hamburger bread( the meal custom). How cheap can you be? You order a half chicken with fries it cost you 36$ That is expensive and I sure as heck expect something good...this was below Quebec franchise BBQ places. I am really upset I paid that much for very low quality food. Life goes on, but this place has to be the worst food for price I have ever experienced

My Husband and I met two friends for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm There was no one in the restaurant except for the four of us, We have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and always enjoyed it, but the experience we had there last night was simply awful, The place inside was cold and they said they couldn t do anything about it, so to start off we were all uncomfortable there, The chicken was cold and dry and looked as if it had been sitting for a while waiting for the next victim to come in and finally order it, The fries were soggy and Luke warm and the buns weren t good either, My friend complained and they brought her another piece of chicken but of course it was just as bad as the first one, My husband went to the kitchen after to tell them what a lousy meal we had and they took his info down but honestly even if they offered us a free meal I wouldn t want it, I would have a hard time trusting them again and don t like to eat food which isn t enjoyable, I ll never go there again Bad from start to finish Not the same casual dining as it used to be, gone too far downhill for my tastes!

I had a great experience dining in here just after flying into Montreal. The waitress, Karina, was super friendly and attentive to all needs. I had the poutine with chicken breast and the flavor/temperature were perfect. I like that there was also TVs in the dining area to watch the NHL playoffs

Been coming to this spot since i was 10 years old but i recently went and got a breast meal. They used to always put 2 hamburger buns but now its only 1. Basically paid 20$ total for a1 breast meal and i went in person and didnt use ubereats. Very overpriced for what you get. Disappointed.

The wait staff is amazing. Always treats us well. Cant recommend enough. Food is always fantastic.

Update- We were touched that the owner reached out to us to rectify the situation and months later, their quality continues to impress us. Original post: We used to LOVE eating here. But each time we go, the prices get higher, the portions get smaller, and the food doesnt taste as fresh. Quality went down. We got chicken burgers tonight. The sandwiches were much smaller than before, and the cutlets tasted like they were fried hours ago. I called to ask , and was brushed off. I am disappointed. Sure they give you a ton of fries, but that is to cover up the shrinking portions.

Havent been here in a few decades but the fact that they are still around means they have many fans. Expensive for what it is chicken and fries a step above Swiss Chalet and much better fries.

Most delicious BBQ chicken. Very flavourful and lots of meat on the chicken. Ask for extra sauce....it is made in house.. Good size coleslaw which is equally as good. Do not skip one of their delicious desserts. We were full so we shared a Nutella Cheese cake but also wanted either the peanut butter cheesecake or Carrot cake, so we took those 2 to go. What deliciousness. Service was outstanding by the young gentlemen named Massimo. He should be commended on his great customer service, kindness and efficiency. You have a great employee CSL BBQ.

To you Cote St Luc BBQ NDG. I have been a loyal and frequent customer for over 30 years of your establishment, yesterday, since Covid my daughter asked me if we could pick up from your location . My order was. A soup . A leg plate . And a breast plate , the amount came to 47$ which was double from post Covid , also , there was no coleslaw salad like you use to serve , the fries were soaked in oil that did not look fresh. And the chicken was as dry as a piece of wood. I Am very disappointed in the decline of the quality standards, and therefore, I will never order from you anymore.

too expensive and no quality. The fries were terrible, stale and cold. the chicken dry and tasteless, the sauce is just gross. Spent more than 50$ and no coleslaw with the 1/4 chicken dinner. How do you even dry out dark meat to the point where it feels like a mouthful of cotton!!! To think, I chose this over chalet BBQ

Fries and chicken was a bit too oily for me but still tasted fine. Im just confused as to why you dont supply the meals with coleslaw??? I have never ever seen a chicken place that dont have it included in the meal. Im sure people would prefer you take out the bun instead of the salad.i know times are hard but to make a huge batch of coleslaw is not that expensive

The food here is delightful. We typically get a large family meal. And it never disappoints. I normally tire of getting one thing over and over again, but this meal is fantastic. Of course, the other meals are nearly as delightful, but this one tops it all off. Great chicken, great sauce, and great chips (fries for you Americans). The service was mostly reasonable. But it can be a little slow at times, but the food makes up for that. The atmosphere in there is 10/10 for me. It is beautiful. And it is a great place to dine in. I mostly take out, but I would love to dine in there one day. highly recommend.

Avant c était excellent. C était même un des mes endroits préférés. Maintenant, ils sont rendu dernier dans ma liste. Frite mole cuite dans de la vieille huile. Poulet sec et sans goût. Je ne penses même pas avoir vus d assaisonnement. Même le chat n en voulait pas. La sauce, était tellement liquide qu on l a renommée sauce de flaque d eau. Une chance que la salade était bonne. Plus jamais.

I used to love it here, but its just okay now, the poutine just doesnt taste as good somehow? Maybe I just got a mediocre poutine, but Im not sure if I want to spend another 10 dollars just to find out hhaha

The competition between CSL BBQ and Chalet BBQ is over , hands down Chalet is the clear winner, while CSL is very decent my last 3 orders from here has been subpar, first dry old reheated chicken , and then now last two orders the chicken was almost flavorless but fresh , and the sauce was like bland soup , coleslaw was the highlight. So disappointed.

Been eating from here for the last 20 years and the food is just too inconsistent to justify my continuing to order. You never know how big the chicken wings are going to be, how fresh the fries will taste. With the prices of all meals steadily increasing I cannot pay $20 for an 8-wing meal that has the meat for around 4 regular sized wings. Also when I requested chicken necks in the past I would get anywhere from 5/6 - today I am lucky to get 3. Very disappointed and will need to look elsewhere for my rotisserie chicken.

Honestly, this place is a mainstay in the area for a reason. Huge portions, the best fries/poutine, and genuinely amazing gravy. Service is friendly and exceptional.

Theirs is my favourite rotisserie chicken, the fries and poutines are stellar, but their hidden gem is the dessert selection - the pies are fantastic, but ask about the tarts and brownies. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu! Nuggets, grilled cheese, or a kid-sized BBQ chicken meal.

Been ordering weekly for years. Last couple times my orders have been poor. Prices keep increasing and the portions are getting smaller. Chicken and sauce tasteless, the mountain of fries is now a small portion and they also now give half a bun. Not sure if I m getting old food or the cook has changed, but will no longer be ordering from here.

My mom has been eating and ordering from here for over 40 years. Yesterday she called to order something and was told it takes her too long to answer her door so they removed her from the delivery list. My mom is 84 years old and has to walk from one end of her 4.5 large rooms and she had to walk with a rollator to the bell in her kitchen that is where the Landlord installed her Buzzer. Then she has to go back down the hall to get the food. For this they told her it takes too long for the guy to give her her order. I am very disappointed in Cote st.Luc BBQ. My mom has been a loyal customer for years. To do this to a Seniour is not right. Would like to hear from the owner. You see one day you too will be older. Surely a few minutes will not make you any poorer. Sincerely Mrs.Jacksons daughter.

Excellent food! Been ordering from the NDG Cote St Luc for close to 10 years now. Theyre my favourite MTL bbq chicken restaurant by far. The bbq chicken is tasty and freshly cooked; Im also a big fan of their club sandwich with cheese. Whether I order for take-out or delivery, the people are always friendly and courteous. I highly recommend giving them a try!

we are leaving from laval-west to eat on the st luc side and every time it is an excellent experience...the fries are excellent, the chicken sublime and the service is very fast and cordial. special mention for the waitresses.. .

I m usually pleased with the quality of the food here but yesterday I received a poutine that tasted like the cheese had turned and I return it got a new one it was still bad. I was told that they sold 200 poutines so it was doubtful We were two sharing a large and couldn t eat either of the poutines which still cost about 20$-24$

In a pitch it s not bad. But pricey as all hell. To legs and fries with brown soup(gravy sauce), coleslaw does not come with it and a drink. For 28$ And the meal is almost 80% fries.

I have ordered from Cote St Luc Bbq a number of times. The person answering the phone is always polite and just willing to answer questions or give suggestions. The food always arrives hot. They are not skimpy with the fries. The delivery man is always polite. And to add to all of this the food is always always delicious.

Im from the neighborhood and Ive been eating at Côte St-Luc BBQ forever and honestly its been getting less and less good over the past few years... Tonight the chicken was completely dry, even the thighs were dry and not very good. Ive never been a fan of fries or sauce so I dont think Id recommend it again

Chicken restaurants seem to be everywhere these days, but none have the service, prices and excellent quality of Cote St Luc BBQ! Forget about the rest - enjoy the best! I love this place.

This business has been in existence for a long time and the food is usually good but on Feb 16th 2020 I passed in to order 3 meals, to my dismay I watched a tall gentleman pick up all those pieces of chicken with his bare hands( no gloves worn). This is so unsanitary. No wonder why people get sick. When he put food in containers he was pressing down on fries pushing chicken over with his hands and contantly wiping his hands on a dirty cloth he was wiping the counter with etc. Has the sanitary laws changed?. Please update your workers on being sanitary please.

Bland, tasteless, very disappointed... My fries were soft, the bread on the wraps was wet, the hamburger tasteless and the sauce had a disgusting layer of gelatin! I advise against...

I love the soup and the wings.

Dry and small chicken. Sauce is good but lack salt. Poutine is TERRIBLE, everything was melted, not enough sauce. Should have separated the poutine ingredients so that it doesnt become a mashed potato cheese soup.

Chicken was bland and so was the sauce, the only thing good was the coleslaw, but not worth the trip. I rather walk the extra distance to Sherbrooke street for good chicken.

My favorite is the gravy frits; or dark meat Poutine Yum Love this place
