Decent food over priced though tried to charge me 5$ for the smallest hot sauce after buying a full chicken combo went downhill since new management

Used to go to the OG location on the corner of Atwater and st Catherine: going there for years: at least 13. Always good food quality, friendly staff. Even to this day the pricing is very very fair which is brilliant. You can order a trio for less than 20$!

The best grilled chicken you could taste. From the chicken marination to the spices and on the chicken and the fries is really on another level. The team is very welcoming and the atmosphere is very good as well. This restaurant should be on must eat in Montreal because it s really worth it and the price is very reasonable as well.

Very delicious food, I especially like the seasoning on the chicken and the sauce. The atmosphere was ok until a couple of big guys (friends with the guy at the counter) started yelling at another person at the door. It went on for 20 mins and they were legit about to start physically fighting. This was at the end of a dinner date with my wife (at 1:30am) and it was very unpleasant for us to hear and witness. No one in the shop did anything about it.

Sparta chicken st Catherine was a unique place. Not sure if it s sold or what but it s horrible. Chicken is so big and nasty with no taste at all. You folks should get back to previous supplier. 10+ years at Sparta never tasted the way it tastes now.

The chicken was well cooked, juicy and flavourful. The seasoning maybe strong but I guess that s what makes this chicken different.

This place has amazing crunchy fries and the chicken is seasoned perfectly and very juicy. Just sad that when I ordered off of ubereats last night, my fries came undercooked. I will not order delivery from here again to avoid my fries being undercooked, i ll walk in to make sure they are crispy.

The person over the phone and in person had communication issues with both French and English. The food was was good but the salad was not good.. no cheese, and it tasted like someone dumped 2 tablespoons of pepper. No sauce. The sauce tasted like oil, water and pepper. It was kinda disappointing..

First of all, I had this restaurant in my list before coming to Montreal and unfortunately we didn t get time to visit earlier so I called to double check if it was ok to order late and he was like YES and he literally gave us the worst food, the leftovers for the day the rice was burnt we didn t even touch it and the chicken was dry and old, So disappointed, He could ve said no or that he can t sell food at that time so we can find better options.

We tried chicken souvlaki pita and half chicken spicy. Half chicken spicy was good, tender and juicy. It was with skin and was well seasoned. Now comes the chicken souvlaki pita part My wife didn t eat as it was blend no taste and i got one for myself too; our feeling was mutual it had no taste.

Chicken is really good, lots of herb but they always forget my tzatziki sauce. I was lucky the first time as i could refund the missing tzatziki via uber eats. I went to the restaurant for a take out and still forgot the large tzaziki i ordered. Unfortunately i only found out i was missing tzaziki sauce when i got home.

I love the spicy chicken here, but its quite inconsistent when you order takeout. Sometimes its juicy, spicy, with a chargrilled flavor, sometimes its very dry, tough and badly seasoned. The tzaziki is good, but sometimes I get a small when I ordered a large. If this place were more consistent, it would be 5 stars.

I tried the grilled chicken and it was very good. I chosed the spicy one and it has a kick on it. I like that chicken is savory and flavorful. If you add the tzatziki sauce, it can kind of clean your pallete as well and refresh. The fries is good too and they give you a lot of fries! Recommended!

I absolutely loved the Greek salad with chicken. The chicken was full of flavour and was cooked to perfection. So tender! The Greek salad is refreshing with a nice balance of veggies, cheese and seasoning. I do wish they can start using reusable utensils and containers.

After looking for a delicious chicken spot downtown Montreal, we discovered Sparta! This restaurant offers some of the top chicken in Montreal. The chicken was so flavourful and juicy, and the fries are the best you will ever try. I don t know what they put in these fries, but they leave you wanting more. Perhaps even more important than the fantastic food was the kind and generous owner who went above and beyond for us! Also, if you want extra spicy chicken, just ask for his homemade sauce, it was fantastic! Thank you Fadi for the delicious meal and wonderful experience.

This location was home to one of my favorite restaurants which sadly closed. So when I was looking for some good Greek food, which is surprisingly not common in the area, I was happy to see this place had taken over from one of my previous favorites. And the good news is that the food is very good here. They have a slightly different take on the pita souvlaki than other places Ive been to in Montreal. A thinner pita, wrapped tightly and the option of having it a little spicy (quite mild though). The fries were also really good and the price was great. So Ill surely be back soon. Vegetarian options: They specialize in chicken, not many veggie options

Sparta Chicken is my new go-to spot for mouthwatering grilled chicken in Montreal! From the moment you walk into this cozy restaurant, you know youre in for a delicious meal. The sides are also stand-outs, from the crisp and well-salted fries to the light and tangy Greek salad. Portion sizes are generous for the very reasonable prices. Beyond the food, the quick and friendly service really completes the enjoyable dining experience at Sparta Chicken.

You guys, Im obsessed with this new spot called Sparta Chicken! I dont normally get super hyped about restaurants, but their grilled chicken totally blew me away. I visited because of the good reviews but was slightly disappointed. The chicken was seasoned and fully cooked, but the whole dish was definitely not worth the price, portion wise. The sauce options on the table were very limited, only ketchup and hot sauce. Plenty of the tables were dirty as well. Service was alright though, and it took only about 5-10 minutes to get my food, which was definitely nice.

I used to go time to time when it was on saint catherine. They never dissapoint us. Always fresh and so tasty and cook well. Peter very good owner always so polite and calm and always ask us if we like it or not. There new place on guy street on parking is a bit tough to find, but inside is very nice and clean. 5 star for everything and plus is HALAL too I hope one day they open more stores across montreal

One of the finest places to try Greek food. Have been going here for the last 8 years. The taste has been consistent but the size of the chicken has been going south.

The great: I am obsessed with the food. I love the spice blends they use. Its a small menu, but a menu done well. I cant stop eating the chicken and fries with whatever that lemon butter sauce is they pour on it, its just great. The portion is nice and big too. Big hunk of chicken, big pile of fries. No complaints there. My criticisms: I do wish the interior of this place was a bit nicer. Theres wallpaper falling off the walls, it definitely has a.. hole in the wall type of food joint feeling. You dont go there for the aesthetics, thats for sure. I also wish they had better forks and knives. Its a challenge eating bone-in chicken with the plastic cutlery they have, on too-tiny paper plates. Its so flimsy and just bends when you use them. Consider bringing your own!

Ubereats command: The whole chicken was a little dry, With sauces it would be better. The taste was ok, not wow. The fries are good.

Edited review: (Now) The chicken is very dry! And not cooked from the inside! Seems that its been cooked hours before serving, and reheated upon ordering. Also, the kitchen is not able to handle a simple order, I ordered a trio with an extra bread (paid for it) .. but they forgot the make it as I asked and paid (always verify your order before leaving). Sorry to write such a review about my no. 1 chicken place in Montreal since 2015 till 2020, but not anymore. Previous management was way better than now (This is how it was before) I wish that I could rate it more than once, the owner is a very nice guy, and youll always see him in there taking care of every single detail, plus a he greets you with a smile. On top of that, youll love the half chicken trio, whether spicy or the regular one.

Where to start? Well, customer service way below average Thats doesn t mean they were rude, but they lack customer service skills and professionalism. The place need a lot of cleaning and organizing. Kitchen looks very messy, washroom were very very dirty with no hand soap!. Place definitely need more lighting. You need a better quality utensils, you can t eat chicken with cheap utensils. Menu need to be studied, its missing a lot of things to be better. This restaurant has a huge potential to grow and expand, but not with the existing management. Lets talk about the food now. I really like the concept and i like to see it grow, but i didn t really like the food. They took 10 to prepare the food, 1 1/2 chicken trio and a chicken salad, which is great but the inside of the 1/2 chicken wasn t cooked properly and was cold which is disappointing. Chicken salad and fries were okay. I may give them another try in few months from now.

I ordered from Uber eat and this was a total disappointment. I am pregnant and my cravings where specifically for good juicy chicken. I received a completely burned chicken, no sauce and super dry. They also forgot my large cesar salad, which comes with the family meal. I ended up throwing away the whole order, no one wants to eat a dry and burned chicken.

The food was excellent and extremely delicious. Ordered two of the half chicken trios and the chicken was extremely juicy and tender, as well as seasoned perfectly. The owner is a super nice guy and was very welcoming. Will visit again the next time I come to mtl

This was damn good! It has to be the most tender grilled chicken Ive ever had. It was cooked perfectly! I really enjoyed the lemony flavour of the sauce (which Im assuming is their signature sauce), but I feel that it could have used some sweetness because it was a bit too tart for me. It was also very salty. Id recommend eating it with some tzatziki to balance out the flavours. But the fact it didnt have to ask for extra sauce on the chicken since it already came drowned in it is what really impressed me! They have a very straightforward menu -- chicken, fries, salad and pita. Though Ill admit their fries and pita look very tasty, so Ill give them a shot when I visit this restaurant again! Overall, Id highly recommend this place if you love delicious chicken with a lemony twist.
