1500 Atwater Ave, Montreal, Quebec H3Z 1X5, Canada
From the Big Mac to the Quarter Pounder, we have been serving smiles and memories, coast-to-coast, since 1967.
They were out of stock for the salsa. How can you eat the breakfast burritos without salsa. Is like ordering an Oreo McFlurry without Oreos… They should have put it not available instead of eating dry burritos!
I found a metal bit in my sundae , I only noticed towards the end. I wanted peanuts for my sundae , the worker didn't seem to understand (unless they stop giving peanuts ). The workers are really stingy with their fry portions sometimes they barely fill your box... they keep messing up my coffee order. If I didn't have McDonald's craving every now and then I would never go there but its the closest , if I had more time I would try walking to the next one but its like 20 mins away which is far if you only gave an 1hr break. Also their sprite taste like water their ice machine barely gives ice 💀 I'll keep going but this is one of the worst(if not the worst) McDonald's of the city.
Terrible Experience – Unsafe Environment I visited this McDonald's today with my sister, and we had an alarming experience. While ordering at the self-serve screen, a man clearly under the influence approached us, demanding money and food. Despite repeatedly refusing, he wouldn't leave us alone and continued to harass us. When we went to the counter to wait for our order, the same man blocked my sister’s path and insisted she hand over her food. Feeling unsafe and pressured, she gave him her breakfast sandwich just to avoid a confrontation. Shockingly, the employees witnessed this but did nothing to intervene. When we asked for a replacement sandwich, we were told we "gave it to him voluntarily" and that they wouldn’t help us. We didn’t feel safe in the restaurant, and the staff showed zero concern for our well-being. I left feeling hungry, scared, and incredibly disappointed. McDonald’s, you need to take responsibility for the safety of your customers. This situation could have easily been avoided if the staff had intervened.
We went to McDonald’s this evening, hoping to end the night on a high note. Our order took so long that I had time to get from Montreal to New York, and our order still wasn’t ready. When we finally received it, the bag ripped because it wasn’t sturdy enough, and everything fell out. The employee only wanted to redo the order up to $10, even though we had paid $50. I’ve never seen someone as stingy as my little brother. I want to thank the security guard, who was very professional and kind—he’s the real star. After 30 minutes of negotiating to get the order redone, the burgers were cold. Next time, I’d rather go to Maxi and get frozen burgers, which would be a better option than this McDonald’s on Atwater. The only star I’m giving is for the security guard, who deserves all the happiness in the world. Next time, I’ll listen to you.
8/8/24 12:16 AM This is the buffalo chicken poutine i bought firstly it was cold like fries were made 2 hours ago and secondly the portion was not even close to the regular you can see the picture recommend you guys to stay hungry rather than buying your food here at night.
To the girl that made me wait for iced coffee this morning! Thanks you so much. I noticed you ran out of sugar and rather than just get it done. This girl took the time to go get more in the back. They were busy and she could have rushed. She didn't. Now my wife likes her coffee a certain way. Because this girl took her time to do it right, my wife's coffee the way she likes it. I really appreciate it. I really do. Thanks so much. I wish I knew her name but the attention to detail is remarkable.
Ordered through the McDonald's App for delivery. Knowing I had 2 McDonald's, I had under a 10 minute walk in 2 locations around me. One up the street from me next to the Bell Center while the other a block over down the street from me. Yet to get delivery, it gets ordered to the one furtherest away. Someone try to explain to me how that happens. Taking it over 30 minutes to be delivered. A simple order of 2 Sausage egg McMuffin trio with hashbrowns and coffee, 1 Sausage McMuffin no egg for the dog. 1 order of Hotcakes with Sausage . In the condiments section, I made sure to order the cream and sugar for the coffee and ketchup for the hashbrowns, and when I went to order the Hotcakes syrups there wasn't an option for ordering them. So I made sure to include it in the delivery spécial instructions. Add 2 Hotcakes Syrups. After sending the order in. I had gone so far to call them to confirm my order. So after 30 minutes waiting for the delivery, I went so far to meet him at the door so I could check the order before he left. I said my Hotcakes syrups aren't here. Which was clearly marked on the receipt for delivery. So he left and ended having to use my own maple syrup. Once I opened and started to eat everything everything was cold. Tossed the Hotcakes in the microwave. Started to drink my coffee, which was also Cold, which I found surprisingly a first. McDonald's has always been known for its overly hot coffee lawsuits. I had worked at McDonald's for almost 7 years. For a breakfast meal for 2 costing nearly 50$ and for my half went straight in the garbage. Why would its delivery pick the furthest restaurant to only end up sending me cold food and coffee. The blueberry muffin was clearly not baked fresh from the morning and was hard as a rock. Included are my pictures from what I ordered to the receipts to the actual food. Never again.
The quality has really gone downhill, my recent experience was very unpleasant. I ordered a meal on their self-service machine, but the printer didn’t work so I couldn’t get my order number to follow my order. Had to go ask the counter. Then, wanted to wash my hands, but the bathrooms have to be unlocked with a key by the staff. They pack all the food like take-out, although I was dining onsite. They literally gave 1 napkin in the bag. They removed the self-service napkin dispenser and ketchup dispenser. Had to go back to ask for napkins and ketchup. The restaurant itself is dirty, the tables are not cleaned and there isn’t anything to clean it by oneself. While I was eating, had a homeless person sit at my table to insistingly ask for a burger/change… Food is standard, the workers seem to be working hard to keep up with the busy location. I don’t have high expectations of a McDonald’s, but this was the worst one by far.
So slow 35 mins + have my chocolate smoothie order online a little before. That I arrive
Literally the worst McDonalds Ive been in my entire life, Big Mac came destroyed and cold same for the fries
Homeless people everywhere and was served a raw burger. Don t recommend eating here.
Just like the food they sell, the sooner its over, the sooner Im gone
Just wasted $5 for missing fries. What the hell is wrong with people nowadays? Just close down the entire McDonald s, no one s eligible to do a good job here.
miss my order
They forgot my order I waited 40 minutes the lady just told me to wait so I had to talk to someone else who gave me another order dont come to this McDonalds its really not good and Plus he didnt even give me my drink.
Excellent!
I dont understand why it is so dirty?
Speak French to your French-speaking customers.
I order two trio , one is wrong order , I talked to them , they answered me oh really what do you mean , do not believe me , I show pictures, no professional. Coffee no sugar I talk to manager his name is dipo , he does not know how to answer no manager skills , and lead ship
What a McDonald s?
Completely incompetent staff. Nobody speaks a word of French(which I got used to..) but also ALWAYS forgets stuff in your order. They were listening to SUPER LOUD indian music that could be heard from accross the restaurant. They couldn t give a flying **** about you or the customer service.
Disgusting!!! I just saw a cockroach in the bathroom. I reported it to the young lady at the mccafe counter and she shrugged me off. I told her this was the 3rd time i have spotted one and would not even order a meal at this point and she ignored me. 3rd time in 3 years!!! You would think they d call an exterminator.
If you are lucky, you will not go to the zoo and see animals. I saw a mouse freely walking on the table.
The tables are really dirty and also the employees are rude because I asked the employee several times to clean the tables but he didnt want to
The sodas are all watered down here.
Homeless shelter, in store aggression, bad service attitude
McDonalds with window on Atwater Street. I like.
Very unpleasant and dishonest, cold meal, very long wait, I do not recommend this restaurant
The place is always full and isnt cleaned very often
The food is full pf carbs as we know . The place is not for sitting its more like takeout people are nice fast service
One of the worst stores went there couple of times and especially the ones work in staff they don t clean floor, they chit chat and they turn off camera if they make any mistake
Correct speed and cordial employees. Part of the interior was apparently squatted by groups. The interior didnt particularly make me want to eat there. Maybe prefer to get takeout and eat in the nearby park. Vegetarian options: Meatless burger
Fast, efficient,and friendly service.
This store is totally a mess. Doing nothing while the homeless screaming at the counter. When all the order numbers were already gone from the screen for more than 10 minutes and all the customers were crowded around the counter and waiting for their food, the only staff at the counter was giving away the endless free vanilla cones to the kids who kept asking for more and more and more. All the other staff were laughing and doing nothing at the back. Got a sandwich with the terrible burned bun after all the waiting.
The guy threw my order at my face
Somebody stole my slushy and then they neglect me for 20 minutes till I explain the situation twice and then they give me the slushy with no straw. Im pretty chill with customer service usually but this is the last straw (pun intended).
Man it took them approximately 45 minutes to make my order
Waited 35 mins for my order. You should do something to improve the waiting time of customers. Clearly, I wasn t the only one complaining about this when I was there. A man waited for so long too, just to have some of his orders missing. When it s busy, tell your employees not to talk around & focus on their job. Very bad customer service, it s the worst I ve seen so far.
Seriously bad. Forgot to add a mcrispy to my order, specified i wanted a regular poutine and got a spicy one. Said they couldnt refund me and guilted me by saying that theyd have to throw it out. The other time i went to order, it took me 30 mins to get my food, saw some employees fooling around while cleaning. Dont go.
Not 24h
The manager refused to give me my order that I paid for. The staff was super helpful and kind. Once the manager came to see me, there was no solution given, very cold and unwelcoming. Walked away mid conversation. I waited because I thought there would be some kind of follow up. Never returned. Let empty handed and with a sour taste in my mouth.
Got charged 3 times on my card and they never received my order
Lovely place
They served my wrap cold
Very fantastic atmosphere Parking: You can use rue Tupper lane for parking Food : 5/5 |
You would ve thought that a worldwide known fast food chain would ve offered a nice, clean and friendly atmosphere but you are wrong. The Mcdonald s on Atwater and St-Catherine is simply awful!!! It s not clean at all, super crowded during lunch and after 5 during weekdays. The staff in general is not very friendly, and you guessed it: the ice cream machine barely works and you would be lucky to have an icecream from it. I wouldn t say it s dangerous, but it s a home for the crazy and homeless people that spend their day near this store. The food is as usual in any Mcdonald s, but this location is not neat. Would not recommend
Horrible service , they forget stuff on delivery all the time Didnt provide a mchappy meal box Forgot the sauces Felt like minimal effort Service : 1/5
Smells like a dirty bathroom
bad service
Took almost 20 minutes to make a single drink, not many orders when i put mine in but they prioritized new orders over mine.
I only ever order to-go and I eat in the Alexis-Nihon foodcourt on the third floor or in the Forum across the street. I never eat in this place because its pretty gross and theres too many homeless people in the restaurant or waiting outside the doors harrassing people for money. The workers are doing their best and you would need to hire employees to clean the restaurant full-time to make it seem remotely clean. I dont blame them or the management for the sorry state of this restaurant either and they cant just kick out the homeless people. This is more of a problem with the area and how the city addresses homelessness. There is a homeless shelter across the street, at where the old McDonalds used to be in the early 2000s, which makes it look pretty bad.
This is by far the worst McDonald, people do not speak French here. When I ordered my coffee the employee an old lady instead of calling the order number called me by my first name. I really felt it is an intrusion to my private information. In addition a lot of homeless is around here and they harass all the time.
fast service
The food was typical for McDonalds but the service and cleanliness were very poor
I ordered the limited edition McRib and they doused it with way too much sauce.
Store is filthy, service is disorganized, and last two coffees I got were genuinely disgusting.
This place on god has to be one of the worst McDonalds ever in terms of its atmosphere and how it feels to be there like its food is not terrible but youre just so disgusted by your atmosphere that you dont want to be there and you just want to throw your out your food like with all the homeless begging you for your change its awful and the dining room is always dirty only thing thats fine is the staff because there kinda nice considering where they work. The Boustan right next door ,is the way to go ,save yourself by choosing actually good food and a nice atmosphere and great service because at the end of the day McDonald wont satisfy you at all and this will
The quality of their food has gone down Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah
The frues stay Bern the best!
Dave wrong order made me pay more!!
We thought we could sit down and eat while waiting for a transfer between Quebec and Montreal, but phew! Its more of a refuge than a dining room. We couldnt even order anything. Its also the dirtiest fast food Ive seen in my life. I understand that its not a nice neighborhood but its a shock. Kid-friendliness: No way
Did an online order at ±7PM, and the place was closed, when I tried to pick my order up. This was THE LAST TIME, I ever visit, this place. IM DONE! PLUS! It is usual for bums to be in this place, bothering and even threatening patrons for food or money. I dont feel safe going here.
Restaurant is disgusting and printers dont work.
Gave me diarrhea and long wait
bad service always dont have a decaf and very cheap Indian manager
My friend was surprised that milk shakes werent served. He wanted an explanation seeing the ice cream machine wondering why. We answered him with an attitude that my friend couldnt accept with self-respect so we decided to leave. A good thing I thought since several guys that were written criminals on their faces were doing the law in the place.
Its McDonalds, the food was fresh and hot, the Coke was nice and cold. Just as expected at McDonalds.
In 2024, its better to move on rather than enter this McDonalds at the Alexis Nihon complex It stank of the piss, impossible to sit down to eat...a real epidemic nest; I send a lot of courage to the poor employees of Mc Do and the Complex... You have the faith to continue working at this address... How can the government hygiene services allow such a disgusting fast food establishment to remain open The Alexis Nihon complex is not a place where you feel safe.... so for your Mental Health.. better to forget the Atwater stop... Kid-friendliness: Not at all suitable for children, Avoid entering this complex with children, this place is rubbish...
So so
Not good
Too many beggars asking you for change, becoming really annoying, tables not clean and not cleaned for quite a while, trash overflow, locked and dirty, really unpleasant atmosphere ,to be avoided...
Service is quick, and food is hot. Dont really like the homeless begging for change INSIDE the McDonalds, though... Food
Every time I crave Mcdonalds and I enter this restaurant, I instantly lose my appetite from the horrible smell. The place is also packed with homeless people (probably related) which would usually not be a problem, but it is disturbing since they are usually completely drunk or high...
Its been getting better but you still get harassed by homeless people for money and half eaten food
Service 0 Employé bad education bad attitude .. client pay and get the bad service !!!!.. NO CLIENT YOU HAVE NO JOB AND YOUR OWNER WILL CLOSE THE BUSINESS OK !! The place full of homeless and smells like a garbage restaurant !! They steal stuffs and don t care !! I PAID MY ORDER AND A THE EMPLOYEE GIVE MY ORDER TO A HOMELESS !!!! QUELLE MERDE!!
Its ok
SLOW
The coffee is good and the ice cream is very delicious.
Not to sound racist but the entire mcdo runs by newly arrived indians. they dont speak a word of french, even if you order in french, they just pretend they didnt hear nothing and continue speaking English. Order numbers are in English as well and give out big orders first coffee just sit there getting cold. you really have to harass them to get your small order.
Chill spot the bathroom is not available, though, so if youre in a sticky situation, go straight to the malls restrooms
The printer is not working, so everyone confused about Their orders
During my recent visit to the McDonalds branch located in downtown Montreal, specifically the Atwater area, I was left unimpressed with the cleanliness of the establishment. While the service and food were satisfactory, the lack of cleanliness negatively impacted my overall dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, it was evident that the cleanliness standards were not being upheld. The dining area appeared unkempt, with tables not properly cleaned and noticeable food debris scattered on the floor. It was disappointing to see that the staff seemed to have neglected regular cleaning and maintenance, compromising the hygiene of the establishment. The condition of the restroom facilities was also subpar. The floors were unclean, and the toilets were not well-maintained, failing to meet the expected standards for a renowned fast-food chain like McDonalds. It is crucial for such establishments to prioritize cleanliness, especially in areas where customers directly interact. On a positive note, the staff members were polite and attentive throughout my visit. They promptly took my order and delivered it with a pleasant attitude. The quality of the food itself was consistent with McDonalds standards. However, the cleanliness issue overshadowed these positive aspects, impacting my overall satisfaction. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu
disappointing for a McDonalds.
Same findings as a year ago. Deliberately unilingual English service. Even the Hello, Hi! does not apply here. The dining room is dirty, littered with trash and homeless people moving tables, torn armchairs, full trash cans. The toilets are dirty even though we have to ask for the door to be opened. The crackling radio does not bother the staff. She is tuned to an English-speaking radio. The televisions on the walls are turned off. Why install it? The fries are lukewarm and dry in the middle of dinner time. The restaurant is successful because it is well located. Elsewhere, it would go bankrupt because everything is so mediocre. Throughout Canada and the USA, the McCroquettes entry includes 4 McCroquettes. Not here! It contains 3. Faced with so much arrogance, this would be a great case of class action to make the owner understand the meaning of doing business well and respecting his customers. Wheelchair accessibility: A table is made available to disabled people with a sign on it but chairs have been installed on both sides of the table. The person will have to ask for one to be removed if they are alone. But, I didnt see any employees on the floor while I was there. In my opinion, she will have to fend for herself and clean her place before eating like I had to do.
Yheygehen
In this place you always find homeless people asking for money and looking for food in the trash and they take glasses to serve themselves drinks from the vending machine. The employees must guarantee a clean and pleasant environment for customers.
I advise the customers of this branch to always be careful about the quality of the preparation of your order by the staff of this McDonalds branch! Today at 9:05 Am, I ordered a black coffee. One of the female employees, who seems to be an assistant because she is usually aggressive to colleagues and customers, went to both coffee machines to prepare my coffee, and the tanks of both were empty. And she did not replace the used coffee and again poured hot water on one of the used coffees and filled the cup and handed it to me, which completely tasted like contaminated hot water, and when she faced my protest when I warned him that You should replace the filter and use new coffee after the coffee in the tank of the machine is finished, even though she knew that I had witnessed what she did, she answered with a temper that No, this coffee is fresh! And she emptied the cup and refilled it with the coffee machine that was on the right side of the store and handed it to me, which was also cold and old! Of course, this is not always the case, and many employees always take care of the quality and health of the products, and sometimes experienced managers are present, the situation of this store is quite orderly.
Terribly dirty!
The front door from Atwater Street is very dirty and so is the interior!
Super!!!
Crowded and hectic. Not recommended.
Late Night saviour
The restaurant is super dirty , the staff is unprofessional at all . The customers wait for long to get an ice cream Food
Bugs everywhere, trash everywhere, floor is nasty, felt like throwing up! Disorder with clearly no care for safety of sanitation
Dirty tables. No ice . No printer paper. No access to toilet
For what they are and for the people in this area. This McDonalds has control over its store. Its recommended not to visit this mcdonalds late at night.
One of the standard McDonalds branches.
Dirty and filthy. I had to ask the manager to clean a table so my family and I can sit down and eat. The floor, counter and tables were all filthy. It does not meet the McDonalds standard. The food and health inspector should come and have a look.
The place is filthy on the customer side and the soda area is worse
Excellent service and very friendly employees
The usual McDonalds experience its fast and tasty you can take out and dine in possible
Yuck!!!! The trash cans are overflowing everywhere, 1 out of 2 terminals is broken (dont take out tickets) and the toilets are out of service. This is the first time weve left without ordering anything!!!
Waiting almost 15 minutes for the order.
Dirty
Large restaurant but with many seemingly unhoused people just loitering there. Service might as well be a robot as they were just pushing volume from your self selection and payment panel. Thats not a criticism as a statement to where we are headed. There was nothing pleasant or aesthetically pleasing about the place just functional. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility present
Why does it take 15 minutes to break up a fight of Dawson college students and then another 30 mins to prepare my order of large fries and a McDouble.
Slow, usually has some cops and homeless arguing, and jam packed with people from the mall. If you want mcdonalds though you know youre still gonna come here.
Too many people for my taste, otherwise everything is good according to the standard. A girl there speaks Spanish.
Not much has changed over the years at this particular location. Food is okay. Fair amount of homeless people who loiter at night. The multiple flies around the drink machine and ketchup are still there. Incessant beeping from several machines, you know, telling you the fries are ready dont seem to bother the staff. Its a 3-star McDonalds at best. Edit: Went one more time around 3:15am but the so-called 24 hour restaurant was closed. Went across the street to the 24 hour A&W instead. Glad I did.
Not 100% the restaurants fault but every time oi want to go there i constantly get harrassed by homeless people to buy them things and they do not take no for an answer sometimes they even get agressive
We cant be served in French on Saturday morning and none of the 5 employees were wearing a hard net, so I mentioned it to the manager and she refused to serve me and kicked me out
Honestly, placing your order and having employees who dont understand what youre saying & on top of that theyre not ordering the right deal and then yelling at you because you tell them thats not what you asked them for... total disrespect. She is disrespectful & doesnt listen to customers. I often go there in the evening, I never have this problem but at 6:30 am on a Thursday morning never again. I was great Patient but after several times of not making me understand and making me look at me as if it was me who was wrong... the more you heard him yelling at you in the kitchen. Really ridiculous their working atmosphere we see what it gives towards customers in tk.
Service is slow, they dont speak French, and they take it for granted. Go shopping and wait 20 minutes, as a matter of course. I said I didn t want it anymore, and you returned the money to me and waited. So I spent half an hour in the store just to get angry. Finally left. Updates are still slow. They delete the number on the screen every time without calling the number. They make you wait impatiently and go to them before they give you your order. At least theyre in French and English now.
So fast service nice employee simply the best
Cant pay with card just hidden or otherwise taken with an application
Its a very busy area as it is in a shopping mall. Lot of homeless people around the area nothing bad but overall service was great. Food is average.
When the word FAST FOOD has no relation
The fact that theres garbage everywhere, half the machines dont work and your order is missing half the food really makes this one hard to like.
I want to applaud the people working over there. It seems to be the spot for homeless people and, first of all they dont kick them out so, way to go! Good thinking. But also their employees feel safe by doing so, because the problem is that those two things do not always work out well, but they found a balance that helps both sides. Lot of big Companies should go this way. But yeah otherwise its a mcdonald the food is meh but its not only this place its just like... The corporation you know... Vegetarian options: Is it possible to have more vegetarian options? Like... 1 sandwich? Like i said, nothing about this place specifically, but more like... Hey big daddy mc-d is it possible to have like... 1 sandwich? And NO meatless bigmac DOES NOT COUNT!!!! its break and lettuce, come on!
He is inside Alexis nehon and have an entrance on Atwater Street very big place
Good and satisfactory
Love you
The staff are so efficient!! Give them a raise
Food is consistently great. This is my go-to place for Dawson college, and allumnis.. so it is congested most of the time. This affects service when it comes to the cleanliness of the store; the kiosk are often out of receipt papers as well. The waiting area for orders is not too big, so people tend to block the drinks machine as well. As for dining, I guess the biggest one, are the homeless people going around. Ive always bought my meal and went back to the Dawson cafeteria.
Beware when paying at kiosks! They do not refill the receipt paper roll. My son bought lunch with his debit card and got no receipt. When he went to the cashier he was told no receipt no food. Use the app or cashier only!
The quality of food in this branch is consistently bad. Sausage McMuffin was drenched in cooking oil and the coffee didn t have any sugar in it when I ordered a double-double. One lady asked for sugar as her s didn t have any as well and the staff looked pissed that she asked for it. The self-ordering machines would always run out of paper for the receipts so you have no idea what your order number is.
Nice atmosphere
This Mickey D s is a lair for the homeless. Rawrrrrr
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian nuggets arent available anymore :( Food
I recommend A&W in front of it or the food court upstairs. Its fast food, expect to become sick after. Unorganized staff. As a customer, expect to get harassed and kicked out if you spend more than 20min, even if youre not disturbing anyone and even if the place has few customers. P.S. It is like this every single time I ordered.
