Charming bistro serving classic French fare & drinks, plus a buzzing, ivy-trimmed summer terrace.
Writing this review as soon as I walked out of the restaurant. As a tourist, I never enter a restaurant unless I see the reviews which help me prepare myself for what to expect. I did not do that here unfortunately. I walked in because I liked the ambiance. I ordered a raspberry tart. Within 10-15 mins it was brought to us. The plate was covered in grease stains (please zoom in on the picture to see it). I did not complain, asked for the bill and left $15 cash. The waitress pointed it out to the bartender who reprimanded us for not leaving a tip, holding us in contempt. I pointed out the grease covered plate and from his expressions, it seemed obvious that he didn’t care or thought it was true. So, this picture is dedicated to the management of this restaurant. Provide a good service and then have the audacity to DEMAND a tip. Bad places have bad ratings for a reason.
Nice location and really spacious, service was great but found the food to be a bit too basic, taste was ok but plate a bit bland, eggs were cooked really good though. If you’re looking for a nice looking spot and an easy brunch this is a solid option but you can get more for the same price in other brunch places.
Had brunch here on a warm and sunny September morning. The patio seating is the best. Inside is nice too but a little too dimmly lit for my taste. The menu is classic western style food - eggs, meat, quiche, fruits. Good selection of teas. Coffee is very good. They had no vegetarian or vegan options and that’s why I rated them at 4 for food.
After an initial long wait after being seated, the service, food and atmosphere were above average. Would give 5 stars overall, but the hostess/waitress was a bit pretentious. Besides the human factor, the food and atmosphere was very good. Reminds me of restaurants in France (Bordeaux/Aquitaine Region). Planning to go back before we leave this week.
Beautiful establishment. Great atmosphere. Great owners. Had the calmars and the shrimp cocktail. Not a fan of tomato sauces in general which came with calamari. The melted butter had a beautiful flavor though, but didn't merge well for my palate with the seafood. The calmars were cooked to perfection. Was not the typical chewy plastic feel that you get in most restaurants. I may just be more prone to the greek style of cream sauces over tomato. Most of my friends enjoyed the Onion soup and the Tartare. We were hoping for the Lobster Ravioli but they weren't serving it at that moment during our special event. Super disappointed but I'm sure we will be back when it is back on the menu. The Pinot Noir was my Mom's Favourite over the Bourgogne.
Had brunch at Cafe Cherrier and the experience was great, we had wonderful service from Philippe and our meals and coffee were delicious. The chocolate marquise as dessert was amazing
An old-fashioned bistro with a friendly atmosphere. Not only the food but also the desserts are very delicious. The raspberry tart was excellent. I would like to come back to try the tarte tatin next time.
Been here many times and again for brunch today. Even though they were short-staffed (due to pandemic), our waiter - who was totally overworked and scurrying around like a super hero, service was friendly and accommodating right to the last second. The place is usually full on weekends and reservations definitely recommended. Oh - and the art and photographs displayed on their walls, are stunning!
We always enjoy Cafe Cherrier, a Montreal classic!
Overrated and overpriced for brunch. Worst blessed eggs Ive tasted, yet its the specialty. Coffee is good though :)
Café Cherrier is one of our favorite restaurants and we enjoy going there regularly. Last night there were a lot of people and the kitchen was slower than usual. On the other hand, the dishes and the service were excellent.
Service is slow and is not a good place to have a business lunch.
Flawless
Here is a fluid and corrected version for your opinion on Café Cherrier: Café Cherrier is a traditional Montreal institution, where you always feel welcome. The owner, Jacques, is often present and ensures that everything is perfect. The team of servers is exceptional: attentive, friendly and efficient. At the bar, Abigail and Nicolas stand out for their know-how. They prepare the best Cosmopolitans and Negronis in town, with attention to detail and a smile thats always there. Their friendliness makes each visit even more pleasant. The wine list is well chosen, and you can always have enriching conversations with them. The clientele is mainly made up of regulars, but we also meet new faces who come to discover this elegant and warm place. In terms of cuisine, traditional French dishes live up to their reputation, with consistent quality and taste. Special mention for the traditional onion soup, a classic perfectly executed with its melting cheese on top. Café Cherrier offers a great diversity of spaces: high seats at the bar, tables for intimate moments or for groups. The toilets are always spotlessly clean. A must for lovers of good food and a timeless atmosphere in Montreal. Vegetarian options: Although the menu focuses primarily on traditional French cuisine, Café Cherrier offers a few vegetarian options. For example, certain salads or dishes can be adapted for vegetarians. Don t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations, who are always helpful. Dietary restrictions: The menu has options that may accommodate some dietary restrictions, but its best to check with the staff, who are always available and attentive to meet guests specific needs. Kid-friendliness: Café Cherrier is a welcoming place for families. Although the atmosphere is elegant and traditional, it is perfectly suited to welcoming children. The servers are attentive and accommodating, and there is enough space to feel comfortable as a family.
Impeccable service, surroundings and cuisine. A must-see bistro in Montreal.
Attentive service. A good time guaranteed with a sound level allowing you to chat with friends without shouting.
very good French restaurant
As always a « sure bet » for a Sunday brunch !!! Service was friendly and efficient. It can get pretty crowded on weekends so make sure you reserve in advance. Café Cherrier is a must if you re visiting or Montrealers alike.
Always satisfied!
I love the service and the food is great and its the best place Ive ever been
The Cherrier café never disappoints in terms of atmosphere. However, I am disappointed with their offering of gluten-free options. For dinner, even the warm goats cheese salad couldnt be made gluten-free, since all the goats cheese had already been pre-assembled on a crust. I found my second choice, the mussels marinière, ordinary. So were the fries that came with them. Finally, I think that a place like the Cherrier café can afford to keep a small quantity of gluten-free sliced bread, frozen, in order to be able to offer some to its customers upon request (just like they serve the baguette at the start of the meal at the majority of customers). I understand that fresh gluten-free bread doesnt keep well, but keeping some frozen is a very affordable option, and it would make all the difference for customers who have a very frustrating food allergy!
I really appreciated the quality of the fish and the abundance of good vegetables!! The waitress was particularly attentive and dedicated. I really enjoyed my evening at your place!
To say that its the best brunch in MTL would be an exaggeration, but its by far my favorite. The room is beautiful, the service team is warm, efficient and the atmosphere is extremely pleasant. Its always full of people without ever being crowded and the clientele is very diverse; young couples, white heads, small families, etc. Most of their menu is good, simple and classic. That said, their eggs benedict are PERFECT. Buttered toast, perfectly poached egg and an impeccable Hollandaise sauce; gratinated with salamander as tradition dictates. Keep it up!!!
Amazing cuisine, loved the manouche jazz that was playing! Great staff :)
MERCI! Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy!
A long established Montreal cafe in lively beautiful location- but with a fresh Menu of traditional and innovative dishes. When there for lunch it was full but the service was quick and attentive.- as when I have been there before!
Very good restaurant. Menu and choice of wines prepared. A little noisy but you get used to it.
Food was good (ordered 1 oeuf bénédictine and an extra bowl of fruits) Place was crowded ; people kept hitting my back. I didnt mind it too much since I was in good company and the food was good Food : 4/5
It was one of the best dinners I ve had in 2 years! Vegetarian options: Vegetables are delicious
Was excited to try the food but didn t get a chance. As soon as I spoke english to the server, he turned his back to me and went about taking other people s orders and pretended I didn t exist. I didn t clue in at first and tried getting his attention but he was clearly ignoring me. I understand the frustration of tourists coming to your city and not speaking the language and I usually try when I can. But that s pretty rude
Delicious and enjoyable!
Traditional.
Flawless. Outstanding service and perfect atmosphere.
Superb place. The service is so friendly. The traditional dress of a Parisian bistro waiter is still chic. A super casual place that said, so very comfortable. The beef steak is succulent. A nice institution dishing out consistency and traditional dishes in a cozy casual atmosphere. THANKS! Note: mushroom soup
Great as always!
An institution in Montreal. You will find all the classics of French cuisine there such as black pudding, lamb navarin, mussels marinières, floating island. The meal was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. I recommend!
Super welcome our table located in the place as requested during my reservation and excellent service from Philippe really a very nice morning thank you
Very good brunch. Good service. When its full like Sunday lunchtime its noisy because the tables are very close together.
A pleasant bistro meal!
The waitress was charming, tasty breakfast, warm place.
Its been my favorite restaurant for 35 years....especially your Poultry Hearts.....the best in town! I cant wait to go back soon! Parking: Very expensive parking.....I know I know inflation....but maybe the restaurant could offer some pay an amount....especially lunch at $70 ++
Service was fantastic. Only had a salad which was good but not amazing, good wine selection and good atmosphere. A good place to meet a friend for lunch.
Professional service and good atmosphere. The floating island for dessert is a delight.
Always such a popular place.
Friendly atmosphere in a classic bistro setting, for simple and well-executed bistro cuisine. Good value for money, table dhôte is available in the evening, which is nice. Very reasonable choice of wine by the glass. The service is efficient and attentive. This restaurant is a good quality classic.
a nice place with a beautiful summer terrace, the menu is quite varied, there are the main highlights of French cuisine, and this is a must here.
Excellent choice for an authentic French restaurant experience while in Montreal!
Always a treat! Great, attentive service and varied menu. Love that omelettes are available even at dinner which is a good vegetarian option.
Frozen food in small quantities, without any effort of presentation, but at the price of a real brunch which at least would have coffee included.
We went there Wednesday evening October 16, 2024. The service was admirable, courteous, attentive and fast. The dishes are good, with very reasonable prices. Fortunately we had reservations because the restaurant was full. The only problem is the noise generated by customer discussions. The room echoes. My partner and I had to listen and speak loudly enough to hear each other. But thats what youd expect in a French-style brasserie. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
Delicious dishes and unparalleled service. This place is a sure bet when it comes to the bistro atmosphere.
An authentic place, impeccable service, fresh food, reasonable price... in short, perfect like our French cousins Im going back soon for the apple pudding ** photos promised
Impeccable service, we had an excellent evening.
The French feeling atmosphere traditional cuisine, we ordered delicious duck salad if I not mistaken at the time they had chickenliver over rice, French onion soup. amazing Crème brûlée, savory crepes with super fresh fruits. Grapefruit juice. Its one of the best places Ive been. If you come to Montreal, thats a stop you need to do.
The kidneys were not properly disgorged, which spoiled the meal, otherwise everything else was excellent as usual.
Lovely restaurant with delicious brunch options and amazing service. Pretty patio seating, but for summer visits, Im going to opt for the air conditioned room just off the front lobby.
We had a great brunch and great service. THANKS.
OK food, OK atmosphere, poor service and filter coffee for $4.25. I said it all!
Nice outdoor patio, but that s about it! They just had a new Chef and won t last long!! Our food was minimal in taste and quantity, service was very long, it wasn t worth the price and wait time. Won t go back.
When you live on the Plateau, its a very popular restaurant, which you can go to easily, simply, not complicated with good food and a pleasant terrace environment
Impeccable service and food as delicious as ever.
Loved the experience.
We stopped by for an aperitif! Excellent service from Mr. Bernard! Very fun. Well come back!
A classic in Montreal. Beautiful card that offers a range of options. A variety of delicious desserts. Maybe opt for the magnificent tarte tatin!
The terrasse is great. Staff friendly and helpful. The food is French Bistrot style and delicious.
Im not the type of person to leave bad comments but when I have to, I have to! We went as a family on a Sunday. We had reserved a table, but when we arrived we waited more than 30 minutes with young children. Im willing to wait if the quality of the food is worth it, but this?! Frankly, no taste, no flavors, its bland, I really dont recommend this place for brunch. We are really disappointed.
One of my favorite places for Sunday brunch in Montreal
I ordered a croque monsieur with salad and fries. The fries were delicious. The croque-monsieur was too big for me and very ordinary. The bread was too thick and a bit doughy. Next time, Ill have a smoked salmon bagel instead. On the other hand, the service and atmosphere were great.
Great place, great service, good food.
I really liked your cod.
Very nice terrace, gives a bit of the impression of being in France. The food is good and a change from what you usually find, bonus point for the black pudding with apples! Very very good ! On the other hand, I find that the portions are really small for the price. A friend had cannelloni... there were 3! She had to have a plate of fries to compensate Top notch service!
We were seated in the very empty restaurant at 2:00, we then sat waiting for waters or a server to come over for 20 minutes. We watched the staff chatting at the bar this whole time. No wait staff came in 20 minutes so we left. Very hot in here as well and the Benny not on the menu. Prices are very high. Disappointing.
Montreal institution, unfortunately prices have increased like everywhere else Vegetarian options: Nile
Good service, delicious food
We were placed quickly but the time to take our order was a little long and especially not in the order of arrival. So its a little frustrating to see people who arrived later and were served before. But above all for the somewhat classy standard, a maple French toast for $16 (its bread, not a piece of meat), which was almost burnt but above all didnt taste like maple (the burnt prevailed perhaps...) to the point that I had to ask for a little more maple syrup, which I was charged $3.75 for, thats not classy (even in dinners the pot of syrup is offered with sugar and salt). No more vegan options please, were in Montreal anyway... Again, there are less fancy brunches that have more options For ambiance and warmth, a fan for some air on the terrace would be a good idea.
Symbolic place associated with the creation of the book Les Hasards Nécessaires and the pearl game
bruch: amazing food and fantastic service very beautiful terrace THANKS
Favorite refuge of the Montreal political left. Its impossible not to think about politics at Café Cherrier with the photo of René Lévesque behind the large bar. The food is good and the service is impeccable. Here, dont pronounce the names Poilièvre, Harper, Trump, Milei or Meloni, you will get looked at askance by the people at neighboring tables. Instead, add the names Nadeau-Dubois, Obama, Maduro, Castro, Allende and Lévesque to your conversations, it will go better. It remains a place, albeit quite expensive.
It s a lovely spot and the food is great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ve been there three times now, always sitting on the covered terrace. It s a consistent winner as a place to meet with friends and relax over good food in a pleasant atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: We had a 2 year old and they provided a high chair and put us at the end where he could run around if desired.
Delicious French food in a quaint setting! Our waitress was efficient, personable, and helpful with our decisions about which dishes to offer. Definitely recommend!
Very good experience. Very pleasant environment and the service and food were impeccable. Plus, there are several gluten-free options. Ill go back, thats for sure.
We called the restaurant to see if they accepted dogs on the terrace in a bag, the lady said yes! After 20 minutes of driving we arrive at the restaurant! the lady arrives and speaks to an employee saying: are you comfortable telling them no after all! And then she came to us and said as an excuse! : you told me cat So we got kicked out! A shame
I came to eat just now and I didnt understand the price after thinking about it the waiter charged me for the table dhôte with the fish of the day and the soup of the day at $40.95 even though I didnt I didnt ask for the table dhôte and individually the fish being 29.95 and the soup 7 I should have paid 36.95 and not 40.95 of course its only 4 dollars but its a steal ! The dishes were good but the tarte à tatin is not really marked crème fraîche on the menu even though it is tasteless liquid cream. The waiter was great despite the fact that he charged me for the table dhôte that I had not ordered
Beautiful honest and tasty cuisine. Friendly, unpretentious service. Clientele seems loyal but we did not feel excluded. Very happy to have discovered this restaurant outside the hustle and bustle of rue St-Denis.
The amount of fish and rice that was served as my main meal was minuscule. I left hungry after paying $130 for dinner for my wife and I. Very very disappointing lack of food and poor service.
One of the best breakfast/brunch places in Montreal. The omelettes are best I ever had. I also had smoked salmon on bagel another time I was here and it was amazing - very tasty. Everything very fresh. Service is fast and very friendly. I highly recommend this one.
Had their cucumber and yogurt soup which is a cold soup! Very refreshing in summer time. Ordered their Spaghetti Carbonara and it came with an eggshell to hold the raw egg. I wasnt at my table bc I was in a phone and the cool thing is that the server came looking for me bc he saw I was away in order to present the dish to me telling me it was ready. Wow! Thats really good service! They also stored my luggage that I was carrying around for the duration of the meal.
Very pleasant experience, especially since we had a charming, smiling waitress from Mexico who took care of us, a ray of sunshine on this rainy day The portions are really generous and delicious. I really enjoyed the small salad with chicory, which is rarer to find in restaurants. The julienne fries were perfectly cooked, the croque mr also well garnished. Prices are very reasonable for the location and quality Thank you for this great experience
Excellent table, friendly service!
Typical French brasserie, always friendly service, classic dishes of great value, a few wines by the glass to accompany all of their dishes, pretty bar and good cocktails, souvenir photos of our artists, a lively and at the same time calm atmosphere. I feel at home there, it s comforting. Thanks to our friendly and authentic server Bernard!
No. 1 in Montreal!
Great The waiter Bernard is very attractive.
Superb, Pierre the chef is very attractive
Superb, Sylvain the waiter is very charming
Great, Hugo the cooks sex appeal is breathtaking
The boubou cook is very attractive!
Excellent place in Montreal
Everything was more than perfect! Only small disappointment: the suite manager Martin no longer works there
We had an amazing experience here! All the staff are so nice! lovely place and chill environment I would definitely come back Food
Please fix your website. It installs software that can harm devices.
Mediocre food and service
Classic French bistro with perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Sit inside or under the lovely canopy on the patio. Our server was a friendly and knowledgable. A mix of tourists and locals. Recommend the steak frites, croque-monsieur, and crème brûlée. Very reasonably priced.
The Cherrier has regained its confidence which has always characterized it since its beginnings.
Didnt appreciate that coffee was included in the menu which was meant to be French and that when we ordered 7 espressos we had to pay 40 dollars more without the waiter warning us. So good restaurant but a little too expensive....
Wonderful little restaurant with a simple but perfectly executed menu and excellent service. The terrace is very pleasant but I would recommend enjoying it early in the day when there are not too many cars.
Special thanks to Bernard for his exceptional service, as always!
We loved it, thanks to Bernard for his impeccable service. Very good time
We have been coming here for 30 years and the service has always been excellent. The quality/price ratio is very good. I recommend it Parking: Parking is only free early in the morning on Sundays.
A cozy Parisian atmosphere, good background music... impeccable service... warm.
I chose the Cherrier café for a surprise event on the occasion of my beloved wifes 60th birthday...everything went wonderfully, the small intimate room, the big screen for the presentation of a video montage and above everything, the charming and efficient waitress Gabrielle. Thanks again to the whole team!
Very good lunch, thank you!
We were in Montreal for 6 days and ate here twice. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted warmly by the staff. The food was delicious; the service excellent. We really appreciated the lack of blaring music so the 6 of us could talk to one another. This place is a real gem.
We go to Montreal a couple of times a year and always have at least one dinner here. Our favorite dishes include the salade frisee, blood sausage w/ apples, the fish soup, the house special ribeye. But as much as the food we love the casual, very French atmosphere and the friendly but attentive service from waiters like Bernard. Just close your eyes and listen to the happy chatter, proof of a good restaurant.
A sure value. A somewhat overwhelmed but competent service.
I love Cafe Cherrier! It is always such a pleasure to dine there.
Always a beautiful and good table. A safe bet on the Plateau. Long live Café Cherrier!
The best beef tartare ever in addition to being a generous portion. Parking: On the street available everything depends on the hours but availability on nearby streets
Apart from a somewhat noisy group that lunchtime, this café is a safe bet every time. Vegetarian options: You are well received anyway... :)
Delicious meal and generous portion. Affordable. Extraordinary kindness. Parking: Right in front
Always impeccable. Excellent table and service, reasonable price. Dynamic but not thunderous atmosphere :-) A mini-downside? Lighting a little intense in the evening. Ill be back soon, I love the Cherrier!!
Always a great experience! At lunch yesterday the Symbiose of tartare and Tataki was simply sublime!!!! Magnificent presentation, the freshness of the food and the balance of flavors, a big Wow!!
excellent.
Even after having traveled a lot, it is undoubtedly the best couscous I have eaten. Fabulously tasty and spicy to perfection. Truly impressive. Hats off to the chef
Excellent service
Wow? Nice
I challenge anyone to find a better plate of eggs Benedict! All in the most québécois setting with a Rene zoot alors portrait right above perfect!
The famous fillet is very good
For our first visit yesterday to celebrate our anniversary, great time, great restaurant, great chef and a special thank you to our kind waitress Andrée, thank you for making our moment so magical
Very good and delicious meal. The waitress was really nice!
Impeccable service and delicious food: I loved it all!
Best eggs benedict in town (only on weekends though)! All dishes are always prepared with care, the service is always excellent. I think its easy to go there with children, the atmosphere is easy, but the place could do with a little refreshment. Cherrier coffee is a guarantee of quality and consistency! THANKS! Kid-friendliness: The place is not intended for families as such, but every time I go there with my 3 children everything goes very well, they are very well received. They offer pencils and you can draw on the placemats. In general, there is also enough space, if the children want to stretch their legs a little around the table.
Very good service!
The place is a classic institution in Montreal and the atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant. Served was festive and enjoyable. Sunday brunch with friends and catching up over grapefruit mimosas and traditional breakfast.Food was good but not wow! I d definitely go back to try other items.
A classic of the board.
Quality of service and food always good, welcome and everything - thank you for being there for so long with taste and passion!
Tasty and quality food, generally impeccable service but without playing it too serious, friendly place that breathes the history of Montreal and Quebec. For lunch, dinner or supper, you will probably not be disappointed...
A timeless classic. For brunch, lunch or dinner. A sure value!
Very nice evening with friends
I love this place, Parisian bistro...
Magnificent terrace, view of the St-Louis square. We feel like we are in France. Outstanding service. Delicious food. Table d hôte menu at lunchtime. Affordable. To return on a beautiful sunny day.
Always a pleasure, impeccable food, friendly service
Excellent food. We loved it. Impeccable service.
Excellent cuisine!
My favorite restaurant for a meal with friends! Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service!!!
I have been seeing him since...1983
Always excellent service with attention and courtesy. Safe value food at very fair prices. We go there very often and are never disappointed. Parking: With the new cycle path. More difficult. Not easy for traders
We were warmly welcomed by the dynamic team at the Cherrier café. We were very well served by the very courteous and attentive Victor who allowed us to spend a very pleasant morning. This was our first experience at the cafe and we will definitely return. Maude Lépine Vegetarian options: A few more options for vegetarians would be desirable.
Excellent salads!
Great place!
Best eggs benedict Ive ever had.
Ideally located next to Square St Louis. Very pleasant setting, smiling staff and delicious meals. An excellent address. Thanks to Élisa for her welcome in the room.
Bistro style with delicious food, will go back
Spent New Years Eve at the Cherrier café. Very busy and demanding evening for the servers. However, we received exceptional service: our server, Sylvain, was very friendly with us and his service was greatly appreciated!!! Memorable evening for this reason!!! THANKS !
Meal on December 31 They invited me to join friends there. Wow, what an atmosphere and what more can I say about the paella prepared and served in the dining room, the best I have eaten in Montreal and in Spain, which cannot be said. Seeing the cook prepare it with passion (which we find too often in this area) was a spectacle in itself. Congratulations to the entire team in the dining room and to the management of the Cherrier café for the privilege of having welcomed us on December 31st. THANKS
A classic that never goes out of style. The food is very good, the service is courteous, personalized, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is excellent and lively - and we meet great people at Le Cherrier!
The CLASSIC bitro... No surprises, only good things!
Service and Atmosphère was sublime! Classy and distinguished look inside. But there are some weird people in the clientèle so -1 star. Food : 5/5
Excellent
Always excellent food and excellent service.
Small French-style bistro with very good dishes and reasonable prices. The service is always impeccable and pleasant. In summer you can even sit on the terrace under the vines!
The service and the food are both delightful!!! Everything feels really fresh and they are very welcoming!!! Very recommended!!!
Parking: Rues avoisinantes Food
The starter and dessert were no longer available. It was very noisy: Saturday evening. On the other hand, the waitress, a gem!
I went there twice yesterday with my sister and the service was impeccable. The waiter and waitress were cheerful and friendly and served us well. The food was excellent and I would have given it 5 stars if it hadnt been for the floating island my sister took. She said it was good, but we were a little disappointed with the English sauce which only covered the bottom of the plate and the replacement of hard caramel with regular caramel sauce (and no chopped almonds) . Our family is of French origin and this is a dish we make at holiday meals, so perhaps we had too specific expectations. I highly recommend it anyway.
Special coffee and la marquise was sublime
Good but the prices are a little higher
Good french place my client from 514plex like coming here high recommend.
We ordered the table D hôte and were disappointed. The entrée was incredibly small and the main dish was sub par. Our server was very friendly but for the price I would not recommend coming here
Lunch Friday noon. There were two of us and we chose the table dhôte. Well done to the chef for the couscous, the spices and flavors were perfect, and what can we say about the oriental salmon tartare, which was doubly perfect in taste and wow presentation. We are always well received and impeccable service. THANKS
Today, a perfect soup on the menu, very balanced, Vietnamese style. Shrimp, various vegetables, tasty broth. Should be on the regular menu. I loved it. A new dessert, bread pudding, maple syrup and candied citrus fruits, also deserves a 10/10. The fine texture and delicate presentation make it an exceptional dessert.
Breakfast was good, but a little pricey.
The atmosphere is perfect. The black pudding is excellent (me who hates black pudding)
One of my favorite cafes in Montreal. A little old fashion but very European and fresh. With many artists in their 50s but they did it in life
