1453 Mont-Royal Ave E, Montreal, Quebec H2J 1Z1, Canada
Restaurant de quartier à l'ambiance chaleureuse et vibrante. Menu du marché changeant selon la saison, carte des vins recherchée, terrasse en saison.
I recently visited this restaurant and found the overall experience to be decent. The main course was the highlight — I tried the beef, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful. However, the starters and desserts were just average. The service was great, and we opted for the wine tasting menu, which was also fairly average. We took advantage of a discount through the MTL à Table app, which made it more reasonably priced. However, without the discount, I’d consider it a bit overpriced for the quality.
This is a great choice for an elevated experience in the plateau; menu is diverse and seasonal, great wine list, and the staff are very kind and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that i found it a little dark in there (we all used our flashlights to read the menu). Would absolutely return!
If i could give this place 6 stars, I would. This restaurant is beyond incredible, delivering delicious meals and drinks with top noch service and atmosphere. I loved that I had the option to convert an appetizer into a full meal, and despite my many food allergies, I had no issue ordering or customizing my meal. We came here on a Friday evening with a large group, im glad we had reservations because it got very busy before we left. I cant wait to return on my next trip!
Walked by and decided to try it. It does not disappoint. The food is amazing and the staff are so knowledgeable and nice. The 4 service tasting menu with the wine pairing is an absolute must!!! I will definitely return
Karl made our dining experience one to remember! A true gem in the heart of the Plateau! My experience at this restaurant was top-notch from beginning to end. The drinks were fantastic and not over complicated. The dishes were delicious and inventive. The staff were very welcoming and attended to all of our needs. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience without the pretentiousness Chez Victoire is the spot for you!
Nice ambience and vibe. Sat on the patio and everybody take note: the shade hits this side of the street first so you get relief faster on those hot days. Food wise is what you would expect from a higher tier French restaurant. Menu selection is delightful. My party had a variety of selections and drinks. All were good. If you get the full dozen oysters you might want extra condiments. Menu has fixed price set (gustation) and a la carte. I didn't get dessert but it seems good.
I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant due to all the positive reviews. There isn't a wide variety of choices on the menu, but we did go for the tasting menu and without the wine pairing as we do not drink all that much. In general the food was good. It started off quite well and the appetizers were very tasty. However, the waiter brought out some burnt toast as if it was normal. I had to ask them to change them. The second time was much better. As we got the rest of the tasting menu, I noticed that the taste was very similar from one dish to another. Although it is very tasty, but at one point I wanted to be surprised by something else. It became redundant at one point. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the decor is charming. The service was attentive, except for the burnt toast.
Came here for dinner, food were amazing, staff were really friendly, the only thing is the cocktails didn’t impressed me. I tried three out of four and they were all alright. I was expecting better cocktails to go with the meal but was happy for what I got.
delicious, impeccable service!
The starters were very successful but the dishes ordinary. The marrow bone was supposedly giant but with 1/2 spoon of marrow inside whereas a long cut normally allows for quality control in the kitchen. The most annoying thing is the waiting time between each dish and the maître d who has an answer for everything (borderline condescending). The sommelier is great on recommendations. For the price, you can really find better at every level on the board. We didnt have dessert because more than 2 hours for 2 starters and 2 main courses is too long.
This restaurant is simply disgusting! #iykyk
We ordered the steak tartare and the marrow, both VERY good, the tartare I think was one of the best we ate, they served bread apparently made on site which was also sensational! Very good service, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
Amazing night Great food Great service Food : 5/5
We ate very well! The Montreal à table menu was well thought out and with well-balanced portions. I recommend the Salmon Gravlax and the Duck Breast. Each of the 6 guests was delighted. We could hang out talking and the service was pleasant. The bench seat, although comfortable, is less practical for service. Thank you for this evening
From the food to the attentive service, it was excellent!
A mixed experience: good food, but very very very disappointing atmosphere and service When I visited this restaurant, I had high expectations, but the overall experience was very disappointing. Lets start with the positive: the food is undeniably well prepared, with the right flavors and careful presentations. The cocktails were also nice and well balanced. However, everything quickly went downhill due to the cold and noisy atmosphere, as well as expeditious and impersonal service. As soon as I arrived, I was handed the menu as soon as I sat down, and asked to make my choice of dishes immediately after ordering a cocktail. This set the tone for the rest of the meal: no attention to my pace or comfort. The starter was served to me even though I had only taken a few sips of my cocktail. Pass again. But as soon as the starter was finished, the waitress already brought the glass of wine to accompany the main course, even though my cocktail was far from finished. When I pointed out to her that the service was too fast, she replied that she had no choice because of the imminent arrival of the second tables. This blatant lack of consideration for customers and this business atmosphere where you feel pressured to eat quickly and leave completely ruined the experience. Despite the quality of the food, I cant recommend a place where you feel like a number rather than a guest. I wont go back there.
We took advantage of MTL à table to eat there, we chose the menu with the wine pairings and the overall experience was very pleasant. The service was quick and helpful.
Very pleasant atmosphere, excellent cuisine and outstanding service.
I had dinner at this restaurant for my birthday and we opted for the tasting menu. It was simply delicious! The products were fresh and each dish was prepared with care, everything being very tasty. The server gave us very good advice and helped make this experience enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for a great evening in Montreal!
The atmosphere is good for a Tuesday. There were 4 of us, each with a tasting menu. The starters were super fresh for the tomato salad and the squid was very standard. Both were great! Incredible tuna tartare and oyster mushrooms was very good but lacked a little finesse. 3rd race was good, the dishes were tasty. Small downside about changing the glass between each different wine. They must be changed between each change. The descriptions of the dishes were good. The food/wine pairings were really good! Thanks to Juliette for her personalized and professional service. However we took the table dhote and there was not enough chocolate fondant for the 4 at the table so the bartender clearly had a bad response in front of the dining room. I finally received a burn cream instead. Its not the dessert thats the problem, but the answer that I heard from the bartender. Also the employees who meet at the bar when there are still people there....ordinary...even more so when you close in front of the customers and turn off the lights that just says outside. For bills of $160 each.....
Everything is good and it s quite a little treat, I highly recommend it.
This restaurant has lost a lot of feathers if it already had any?? Tuna tartare not very fresh and what can I say about the presentation (ola la) but above all nothing fancy (a big pile of not very tasty tartare and a quantity of fries (not possible) really And the waiter who seems to think he is someone very important with a smug look Sorry my last time at this restaurant
We go to Victoire s restaurant a few times. Big day at work we decided to order from Uber and did that a few times. Order a Burratta no bread with house cavatelli tiny portion and smoked meat croquettes this one very good cost of $82.00. We want to encourage our restaurants for several years however when we call and we dont seem interested. I ask myself questions
We had the tasting menu with food and wine pairing. It was good. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful terrace. Our waitress was lovely. The risotto was too lemony and the cauliflower plate didnt impress me. Otherwise, all other dishes were good. The tuna tartare was divine.
Atmosphere and service were awesome. Food good but could step it up a bit in places hence why the deduction
In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Montreal, high-end cuisine in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. All the dishes are good, the only restaurant that can make me eat things that I dont like and that I will like. A must, the tomato salad with mozzarella mousse.
I couldnt say anything better about my experience in this restaurant than: God Damn! On the bright side, of course . The decoration and ambiance give this place a nice little beauty and it is easily accessible from Mount Royal. My favorite in the restaurant given the view I could have had of the open bar and kitchen watching the maestros do their art. Thanks chefs! And the service team was super synchronized and the experience was pleasant to see and receive. .Bread and butter were my little guilty pleasure. I was able to eat the dish of the day: Tuna bull with corn and ponzu sauce. OMG! The flavors were harmonized and it didnt take very long to finish it. Sorry no photos taken. Deliciously savored! The wine choices were excellent and tasty. The sorbet at the end of the meal was delicious, the final element. I will go back without hesitation and I suggest a detour PS I suggest the table d hôte for a greater taste experience
Complies with everything. Its not the cheapest but everything we ordered was delicious without being anything wow.
Man that place rocks... cant say I had a bad experience there. Plus I can litterally crawl back home. During covid they had fantastic take out options. Ok sure it can be a pricy spot like a lot of places in the area but its worth it!
Creative cuisine.
I went there to treat my friends and we got a booth. The host had an attitude and was rude to me even though I tried to stay polite and friendly. At the end of the meal when I refused to tip because of their lack of respect for their customers, he made me tip by coming to our table and telling my guests that I did not tip! Since it was a super awkward situation I tipped 10% of the receipt and he threw the receipt on the table and left without a word!!! Not only he embarrassed me in front of my guests but also he took advantage of my situation! I am shocked! It was a nightmare and I am never going back there!
Its a couple of times we visit Chez Victoire and the food and service is always amazing! Marc-Antoine was our waiter on our last visit and he was great, very friendly, professional and with a great attitude!
Everything was perfect! The menu choice was varied; there was plenty of variety and the entire menu was appetizing, the food excellent as well as the presentation, great atmosphere and impeccable service. Thank you for this excellent evening!
Very courteous service and excellent food
Excellent rest!
The menu is full of ambition, but the execution in the kitchen was disappointing. As a starter, the first oyster was good, but the second tasted so strange that we had doubts and preferred to return the plate. The cauliflower and carpaccio were ordinary. Main courses: the risotto had the consistency of gruel, and the grilled octopus was drowning in tomato sauce. The only positive point: our servers were outstanding, offered sensitive service, and concocted tasty cocktails/mocktails. But in the end, considering that we went to this restaurant for our 10th wedding anniversary -- after a very positive first experience in December 2023 --, todays experience leaves a bitter taste. I would have given it three stars, but since returning home I have been a prisoner in my bathroom. Hence I write this review.
The time spent at Victoire s was really excellent. The service was top notch and in terms of cuisine, almost faultless (in fact, the sourdough bread is really ordinary). For the rest, nothing to complain about!
Good restaurant which is a change from the brasserie menu and also on Mont Royal, very pleasant!
Always good, original food... On Mont-Royal in the pedestrian area
So disappointing. I really wanted to be enchanted by this table like in the past. I think the chef had to change because the execution of the dishes did not live up to the reputation of this restaurant. The service was rather pleasant, nothing more. The oysters were very good. The tuna tartare was bland and the cavatelli very ordinary. Shame.
Top notch everything a great pleasure to find this place
Expensive price. Good food. Slow but welcoming service. A place that offers an atmosphere that lacks intimacy and warmth.
This was an amazing finish to our first day in Montreal. The vibe on Avenue du Mont Royal was such fun, and everything about our meal at Chez Victoire was superb. Matthew (Matthieu? Désolée!) was welcoming, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable about both the food menu and the cocktail/wine list. All of his suggestions were spot on, and his enthusiasm was contagious. We enjoyed tasting the wines that he recommended so much! Local mushrooms were featured on the nights menu and were delicious, as was the burger de smoked meat maison; not a burger at all, but a perfectly sized portion of house smoked meat Montreal style with nicely paired condiments. Highly recommend the Clementine Mash cocktail for those who indulge. Merci mille fois!
When your taste buds pass through the restaurant door they find themselves in 7th heaven continuous service with the whole team. Authentic and elaborate dishes I recommend for an exceptional culinary experience
One of the best meals I ve had in long time! Service was amazing and the food was incredible. Props to the chef and his team who made a perfect meal. The degustation menu is well worth it. The portions are very generous and the flavours are on point. We will be going back very soon and will be recommending this restaurant to all our friends.
This has been our favorite restaurant for several years, food, wine, cocktails, atmosphere and impeccable service, we have just celebrated our 15th anniversary there, me and my girlfriend.
We shared a romantic dinner! Immediately seduced by the scallop-based starter and the incredible prime rib. The vegetables, sauce and fries were divine! Rare cooking is 100% successful. Professional, smiling and warm service. We had dessert with a digestive recommended by our waitress at the bar. Thank you to the chef and his entire kitchen team, Thank you to all the dining room staff for this memorable evening! We will come back to taste this piece of butchery for sure Amélie & Nicolas
Absolutely detectable across the board!
I particularly appreciated the choice of Mocktails.
Super good restaurant
Excellent ! We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was amazing, very good food, and very good service! We will come back!
Went with my partner, who is pregnant and ordered a mocktail (drink without alcohol). We asked several times for it to be alcohol free to be sure. She got served a cocktail (drink with alcohol)!
Impeccable services, warm atmosphere, exhaustive wine selection. But the cuisine has really taken off at Victoire. The tomato starter was good, but the $38 plate of scallops was very small, the scallops were tiny and lacked freshness. The super fatty smoked meat burger and similar to frozen smoked meat. Semi-cooked chocolate similar to the one at Costco, much too liquid. Its a shame, there was a time when Chez Victoire was really good.
The food is incredible. The marriage of flavours and ingredients - to melt for.
Excellent food and service. We particularly enjoyed the tomato salad, the oyster mushrooms with smoked feta and the tuna tartar. Will be back for sure.
Atmosphere/service: This restaurant is very noisy due to the configuration of the room. The worst is upstairs where the ceiling is low and it amplifies the noise. You will have an unpleasant time. The waiter insisted on several occasions asking us what we wanted to drink. One of the tables upstairs was occupied by 5 women who were completely drunk. The same waiter kept serving them...to the point where the two tables next to them asked to be moved. In our turn we asked to change tables, the waiter told us that it was not possible without really paying attention to our request. Food: the dishes are tiny, it is the first specialty of the house. They try to present themselves as a starred restaurant but the dishes are far below such quality. The tartare must have been thanks to the spices, but the fish lacked quality. The scallop crudo is not bad but the kumquat fennel mixture shows a lack of cooking skills. The fried squid... Either the oil is not changed often or it is of poor quality but I had the impression of eating fried fast food. The carrots...were perhaps the worst on the menu. It just wasnt good. Finally the risotto was decent but nothing extraordinary, the rice was cooked correctly, the mushrooms had texture but the flavors were nothing special. The beef was very good. The only good thing on the menu, although the green beans were crispy to the point where they had not been cooked completely and covered in butter to make you forget these shortcomings in the kitchen. .. Finally the chocolate fondant was covered with a very small ball of ice cream which made so quickly that it made the fondant not very pleasant with its wet texture.. So rather disappointed with the food. Its all in the appearance here, nothing in the substance. Given the behavior of the server. We didnt leave a tip. The waiter then got angry and told us we had to leave a tip. We made him understand that his behavior was not acceptable.
My recent experience at this French restaurant was disappointing, especially as we were celebrating my sons 19th birthday. Despite notifying the staff in advance of the occasion, they showed no awareness or acknowledgment. The service was particularly poor. Although we promptly placed our order, the staff seemed disinterested and inattentive throughout the evening, except for one wait staff. We had requested to move to a quieter area due to the noisy and multiple rowdy patrons nearby, but our request was dismissed without consideration. We felt unwelcome throughout the night. As for the food, it fell short of expectations for a French restaurant. The quality was below average, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and quality. Overall, this restaurant failed to provide a pleasant dining experience for such an important celebration. From the lack of attention to our special request to the disappointing food quality and indifferent service, I would not recommend this establishment for any occasion.
Exquisite dishes and refined wines. To repeat! Highly recommended extraordinary bistro! Dietary restrictions: You just have to specify it, they adapt!
Very warm welcome, very accommodating with my bag of groceries made just before and neatly stored in the fridge during my meal. Even if the cooking was not as I wanted, the meat was very good and the sauce was well arranged. Fries are one of my favorites too. I had a great time in an atmosphere where I could talk with the person who accompanied me without being bothered by loud music. Too bad its so expensive
Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment
Everything was impeccable. .. Well done!! On my way out, I made a reservation to return after two days, with another group of friends. ..
I was a little disappointed with my main course: a too watery oyster mushroom risotto. Same experience with the chocolate cake which was seriously lacking in cooking. The heart was clearly liquid too. The service is still very nice :)
Very good restaurant. Only downside for me which is pesco-vegetarian limited menu even fried cauliflower/grilled octopus has chorizo/bacon. Damage.
Very good experience, very pleasant and unpretentious place, the 5-course menu allows you to let yourself be carried away and make great discoveries, a small downside on the dessert on the other hand for my part
Amazing food and service. A must visit address in Montreal.
Always a pleasure to meet there and eat cauliflower!
A cuisine that goes to the essential, with consistent quality of execution. A menu that follows what nature gives throughout the year. A comprehensive wine list, which will please amateurs and insiders alike, for all wallets. A simple but friendly setting that leaves room for what happens at the table. On each chair, a person with a smile. Finally, a professional and attentive service. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a moment at the table, like in France, without having to take a plane ticket
Excellent
Top shelf experience from the moment I walked in
Great place! Impeccable service, excellent food. Great discovery!
Chez Victoire is an example to follow when it comes to talking about French gastronomy. Located in the Plateau with a sober facade, the interior recalls the French broths hidden in the alleys of Paris. I highly recommend the tasting menu as well as the wine pairing. The servers are of unparalleled professionalism and have expertise that you must exploit! If you come by car, allow time to find a parking space (its on the Plateau). Reserve your places in advance!
What a great experience for my wife, her daughter and me, the quality of service rarely seen, a real delight, an explosion of flavor in my mouth for the meal as well as for the dessert, with a calm, relaxed atmosphere with little music, I tell you, you know. Dont go wrong and eat in this restaurant, for me its a 5 star
Very nice culinary experience. Tuna tartar is simply delicious. Well done!
Very nice stylish restaurant! I had the 4 course menu and everything was delicious. Chef Alexandre does wonders, its fine cuisine. You deserve more than 5 stars!
Beautiful atmosphere, good and plentiful meal. I recommend!
Delicious meal and drinks. Recommend
Superb atmosphere. Warm, attentive, friendly and professional staff. The dishes are exquisite. I recommend this restaurant for all occasions. Karine
We still love going there for the tasting menus with wine pairings. Its always an interesting discovery.
As always for more than 10 years, an experience for the senses with a happy mix of risk and sure values. Alexandre Gosselin s cuisine always pushes my limits a little further. He succeeds brilliantly in making me try foods that I would never risk. Long live Victoire and Alex
What a great experience from A to Z. Amazing food and presented beautifully! An explosion of flavors from starter to dessert! I recommend it to anyone who wants to try unique flavors.
The food was tasty. Our group had the fritata, salad with shrimp, and the chicken salad croissants. The croissants are very large. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Its been a long time since Ive had such perfect service in a restaurant. We had the tasting menu and the food and wine pairing. Everything was delicious and well arranged, the pace of the services was excellent and the welcome was as friendly as it was professional.
The staff, the food...one word remarkable. We were at the bar and Tracy took care of us from start to finish with delicacy, gentleness and passion. Thank you to everyone including the chef and his brigade for a magical evening. An address to remember!!!
One of my favorite restaurants by far in Montreal. Quality staff, the food is well prepared, it is always original without being too so. The presentation is successful and the atmosphere friendly. The best part is the 4-course menu on Sundays at a good price.
Crowded restaurant, warm welcome, impeccable service - teamwork at the service is well established. Atmosphere as I like them - very lively. The kitchen is great. I had a starter, main course and dessert. I also tried all the other dishes my family ordered. Very good, my octopus was cooked just right, the risotto was creamy and tasty, steak fries...it tasted like steak fries. My only criticism is the choice on the menu, I rarely have a steak, but given the choices I didnt see anything else interesting for my taste. The mixed 2 entry is a solution, because there are more of them. Oh yes, dessert, there seems to be cheese? Yes, its cheese, it was my bad choice, its not that it wasnt good, but it was definitely not in my taste palette.
Excellent roasted cabbage Very welcoming staff
Very good
Nice Mont-Rrrrroyal place if you want to feel the Mont-Royal vibes If you know you know
We had the tasting menu, it was delicious! All the dishes offered were incredible, the choice of wines too and the dessert... I have never eaten such good chocolate fondant, Bravo! We will come back for sure :)
We had a very ordinary experience at Victoire this weekend (Saturday March 11). I have been going to this restaurant for around ten years and I think that unfortunately, this will be the last time! We ordered the famous cauliflower but it clearly lacked love the bacon was poorly cooked, not enough hazelnuts, lack of sauce And then the risotto rice seemed overcooked in advance and was not good enough. all creamy. And for dessert the financier with cheese, it was really very surprising, and unfortunately not very good In short, not the quality we were used to!
Excellent evening, food, atmosphere and great service!
Excellent meal accompanied by a very nice wine list! A1 service and atmosphere!
Disappointed with the wine suggestion, but the rest was wow!!
Truly delicious!! Beautiful and warm place!! To discover!
Very good service, tasty meal.
Went for dinner with my cousin on Saturday evening, and sat at the bar. Wine recommendations were on the spot, and we were also recommended how much food to get so we were both satisfied. We ordered the oyster and snow crab plate, tuna tartar, tomato salad, and beef tartar. They were all delicious, and we left perfectly satiated, but not too full. The bartender made sure our glasses were never empty. The restaurant has a nice open, but still cozy ambience. Well definitely visit again on my next trip to Montreal!
Service was excellent 5 . The steak could of been better
Fantastic! The best dinner of our trip so far! Try the tandoori vegetables
Excellent experience. The service, the food, the decor, the plating, the speed of the service, everything was very good. In terms of dishes, good cooking, flavors and textures. I was completely satisfied. Edit: I went back 2 other times and again good experiences and great discoveries. However, the steak dish disappointed me. Compared to their other dishes which are very good, the steak was just ok. Not at all of the same caliber as their other dishes or what you find in a good steakhouse. The meat was tough at times and the seasoning was not great.
10/10 would recommend. Great experience, Tracy and Emma were fantastic. Took my girlfriend out to an experience in Montreal, best way to end a romantic night !!!
My wife and I were walking on Mont Royal and found Chez Victoria. Excellent restaurant. The flavors in the food were amazing and the service was excellent. This was one of the best meals I have had. I would recommend this place.
The Chez Victoire restaurant in Montreal is a true culinary gem. Their creative and flavorful dishes are a gastronomic experience in their own right. The warm and intimate ambiance creates a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a memorable meal. The attentive and professional service adds an extra touch to this exceptional dining experience in Montreal. It is the ideal place for lovers of refined and innovative cuisine.
We were a table of 4, we tried the tasting menu all four at our table were totally impressed.
We stopped in spontaneously with not much time before catching a flight. Service was fast and the food was amazing. I had the burrata, grilled asparagus with warm flat bread. Delish! My partner had the smoked Montreal meat sandwich, which he crushed. I want to go back and get the mushroom risotto and take time for dessert. This is a find!
By far the best restaurant in Montreal for me. All delicious and tasty with fresh food! Industry Sundays are a great initiative that introduces us to new dishes at better prices too! Incredible team! Alexandre, Karl, Max and all the staff are really great! I highly recommend!!
Great restaurant, nice food! Highly recommended!
Attentive service, very good advice on wine and the dishes (all the dishes we ordered) were divine. An unforgettable evening. Thanks again Vegetarian options: The cauliflower is to die for
Nice restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. Great seller of wines, varied choices for all tastes and prices. Good service. I recommend the fattoush salad with octopus.
One of the best stops on Mont-Royal Avenue for many years. The recommendations from the servers will please you every time!
This was our second visit to this restaurant, we live in Toronto, so since finding this gem, we add it to our visits as a must go. Our most recent visit the food was equally outstanding as before, we just go full on set menu each time you will be blown away. However, although we booked a week in advance, I dont think the restaurant was expecting to be as busy for a sunday or had a server shortage issue. So we were sat upstairs which is my now least favourite place to be in the restraunt there were options of high tables or at the bar but nothing else in the main restraunt and the waiting staff stuck the 3 of us on a slightly oversized table for 2...and said the other tables were reserved...eventually they let us move to a neighboring table. The food, as expected was outstanding, so made up for the wonky service this trip. BUT compared to our first visit which was simply outstanding service, on a quieter also sunday night, where we were served by Veronique (if my memory serves me well) who was simply the best server and she made our night special, added to the food was the reason we will continue to return to this unpretentious little rare find and hope to have her host us again. OH AND IF they ever have Grand-père as a desert option....omg, please do not ignore... This is close to Michelin Star rated food without the fuss. Dont miss out and try this place. We will see you soon...
Excellent service, delicious dishes, quality products and well cooked .Even better than last time
Excellent. We had the menu compris + wine. Very enjoyable. Stand outs included the tuna tartar and tandoori carrots! Dietary restrictions: They were able to make most dishes gluten free.
Good. The risotto is unfortunately one of the worst I have ever had the opportunity to eat. No taste. Mushroom. Rice . It tastes like water...at 29 dollars... In short, probably they are better on the rest but clearly this dish must be reworked from top to bottom...or removed... Sad
The dishes are excellent, several vegetables cooked in an original way. a great discovery when you want refined vegetarian food!
Nice restaurant, with good service, good selection of dishes, and great ambience. Dietary restrictions: The staff tries to accommodate, but choices are limited.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere...need I say more. The uncertain weather prevented us from eating outdoors, but a table near the front with the big open widows allows you to enjoy the cool summer evening. We had the tasting menu with the wine parings. A wide range of interesting options. I had the beef tartar which was the only disappointment of the evening.
Disgusting coffee and orange juice from a cheap bag . There was not a single visitor in the restaurant, but the waiter did not allow us to sit closer to the window and drink a cup of coffee, but sat us in a dark corner near the kitchen, saying the memorized phrase we have everything on reserve Hey people! Where is your common sense? Drink coffee within 5-10 minutes! We were looking for a place for a big event, and of course, such little things as coffee and juice can form a general opinion about the establishment and its managers. It s a terrible feeling from the behavior of the workers, they absolutely don t care whether the guests like it inside or not. Definitely no.
A Busy Place got nice food and friendly staff! August 5/2023 Got Japanese Whiskey since I have last been there MASSIVE improvement in just about Everything high quality wines and Great Food!! Oliver is Good!
The service is excellent, the oysters are fresh and very good, the cheeses and the crème brûlée are a delight. (the arancini and fish croquettes are a little dry, but not bad either). The staff is always very welcoming and smiling! We will come back soon for sure!
The menu is very inviting on paper but unfortunately the dishes lack refinement. Rather bland dish.
Very good! Quality service, quality dishes, I highly recommend the tuna which has great taste!
The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are beautifully executed! We were very well served. The vegetarian options are original and surprising!
Excellent food, Nice restaurant.
Excellent service. My steak was not quite cooked as I requested and without even complaining, the meal was given to me for free. The cocktails were delicious. I will definitely come back.
We ate very well on the terrace with a little street music
I have just had a very special birthday dinner with my family at Chez Victoire. The food was amazing. We had the tasting menu and each plate was perfectly balanced and tasty. The ingredients are also super fresh and well combined. A special mention for the service, so nice! We have a toddler and they accommodated us in the best way, speeding up dinner times. The price is really fair for what you get. I will totally recommend Chez Victoire and I cant wait to go back and taste other plates!
The wine matched perfectly with the stake and the somilier showed me a new side of yellow wine that I never heard of before, definitely interesting and you should try it out! Starting out with just a quest for some meat I was not expecting much, and being alone they asked if the bar was ok, which I was fine with. Now, the meat was fantastic as well as the root vegetables. Highly recommended a try for this one but expect it to be on the high price/high value side.
I went there a while ago...the cuisine is remarkable and bursting with flavors. We had the tasting menu as well as the wine pairings suggested by the semeliere...everything was perfect...a great discovery! My favorites: yellowfin tuna tartar and grilled octopus yum...I will go back to try the beef tartar..thank you again great experience and service
Good welcome, recommended to all foodies
The dishes are all very tasty and the pairings absolutely sublime! The 4-course tasting menu + wine pairings is a wonderful taste experience that is well worth the $150/person price. Our food choices were plentiful, we couldnt have eaten anything more! Good atmosphere, and the service is excellent.
A very nice discovery. A very professional and welcoming team.
I have loved this restaurant for 10 years! I recommend it to you. Especially at the bar!
Excellent food, well executed, good value for money. We took 4 starters for 2, perfect for tasting a little bit of everything. Very noisy place, service is good nothing more.
Very good restaurant Excellent service and the food is delicious I recommend this restaurant
The food is just amazing but I think the place is a bit tight and loud at some tables
Every time we come, we have a great time. The food is always delicious, comforting and delicious! The atmosphere is great, the wines are good - we will keep coming back!
Attentive service, high-level cuisine during Montréal à table, it s a great pleasure to eat well in Montréal
MtlaTatble Event: Beef tataki 4.5/5, My partner had a chili pepper not me.. oops, little inattention from the chef. Braised beef scoter 4.5/5, I looked for the Butternut squash puree. Dark chocolate cake 4.5/5 Bread $5.. 4 slices.. bring me the whole loaf at that price. Otherwise services nothing to say and good atmosphere.
The cuisine was delicious, especially the desserts.
Montreal at the table 2023 - a discovery to repeat But what a nice surprise! I had to go to 7 restaurants this year in the context of Montreal à table, nothing comes close to the quality of the food and the service I received from Victoire. It is now one of my restaurants to try again and to introduce to those around me, no joke you cant go wrong. In the context of Montreal at the table we like to order different dishes and try them all in order to really get to know the restaurant. Honestly everything was good, but the scallop starter was extremely successful and I regret not having taken their main course of trout and seafood risotto alone (a serious treat!). If you have a restaurant to go to in the context of Montreal à table, this is definitely it. The wine and food pairings ($36 more for two and a half glasses of wine) were also on point, I recommend it... (jealously! I hope the restaurant doesnt become too popular and unreservable!)
Very beautiful and good French bistro on the Plateau.
the food was not good dessert we don t like service is good
MTL table event , not bad
They had very bad client service at restaurants. Waiters are not polite and demand 15% tips for poor service.
We were 4 for Montreal a la table, and the food was excellent, and the services were extremely great! We also enjoyed the signature cocktails. For sure well come back and recommend to our friends as well.
Another evening at Chez Victoire which turned out to be flawless. The team circulates back and forth like the gears of a well-oiled engine. Always with great care, you can find rare vintages and barrels at good prices. Whether for the tasting menu or a simple snack, the menu is convincing on any scale. The open kitchen appears as a constant theater of expertise and love for the task. The music, the decoration, the label. Everything is meant to optimize for a memorable evening. Chez Victoire is the address for connoisseurs, bon vivants and all those people who pass by by chance.
Great ambiance. The menu was thoughtful and delicious. The cocktails were fun and unique. The wine pairing is exquisite. Make sure to make a reservation
The place is really classy and the service is impeccable. Nothing to say about that. The food is pretty good but the menu could be a little more varied.
Home-made dishes. Very succulent. Always noisy atmosphere like all the restaurants in the neighborhood
We had dinner at Victoire this evening and we ordered 4 plates to share 2. Unfortunately, the flank steak that we ordered cooked to medium rare was very rare and rubbery. Even after asking for a new plate, the meat was slightly overcooked, but still rubbery, making the experience very disappointing. The other three plates were good, but nothing more. However, it should be noted that the waitress was very friendly.
Very good experience! a nice wine list and a good choice of starters with good products that are easy to share.
Everything is delicious, impeccable service, the owner very friendly!! We go back regularly and are always satisfied!!
This is one of our regular spots because the quality is consistently great. Food is absolutely amazing every time, we have never been disappointed. Wine suggestions are always well-matched with our food. The space is open and well-decorated, during the summer they have a big beautiful terrace. Service is always considerate, friendly and timed nicely. I literally have nothing bad to say. My husband also brings his work celebrations here because the menu makes everyone happy. Crowd pleaser, to boot!! Great job guys, keep up the great work!
The meals are SUPER GOOD!!! Good service and super friendly staff! I recommend!
Everything I ordered was good! Worth it
Very nice experience! As much for a company for a Christmas dinner as a romantic dinner. I recommend
Magnificent experience!
We loved our group dinner. We had a group menu, there was something for everyone in the selection. The service was impeccable
Quite expensive for what it is. The Burrata was ok but nothing more, not much taste. The tiramisu was borderline liquid.
