2050 Mansfield St, Montreal, Quebec H3A 1Y9, Canada
The menu takes inspiration from brasseries and café bistros and features fresh, local fare, with an emphasis on seafood. A French-inspired wine list, reinvented retro cocktails, and a good selection of whisk(e)ys and cognacs round out the offering.
Great experience for MTLaTable! The food was delicious with just the fish dish being a little blend compared to all the wonderfully flavourful dishes. The duck cromesquis was my favorite! Service was amazing, they treat their guests so well. I would definitely come back to try their regular menu.
The ambiance and decor was very nice. The cocktails were really good and some of the food items (deserts, the duck confit, the scallops) were really good as well. However when it came to the entrees, the lamb shank was very average, really nothing special. The mash that came with it was good but something I could've done home. The ravioli we received was undercooked and hard. The service was good.
Our meal and overall experience at Le Boulevardier was excellent. The service was so good - Stephanie our server and Jordan our sommelier were both welcoming and attentive. They made sure we had the best experience. The food was truly incredible. The flavours, creativity, and presentation were top notch. I tried dishes I’ve never had before and also tried some more familiar ones but offering a new fresh approach. We had the table d’haute offering with pairings. I had the beef carpaccio, scallops and sea bass while my friend had the burrarta, duck confit and ravioli. We couldn’t pick a favourite as they were all executed expertly. The desserts, a pear dish and a hazelnut chocolate ensemble were beyond compare. I would recommend this restaurant 100%. As English speakers we felt welcome. There a real sense of team at this restaurant. They should be very proud if what they do here, as it is simply perfect.
We had a wonderful dinner, the service was excellent. We had the pain perdu with lobster and the scallops for appetizers. Then we had the lobster risotto and the beef tenderloin with fried fois gras. For dessert we had their take on the Mille feuille, it was superb. The wine was nice and the cocktail, Mansfield, was very tasty. At the end we had a small glass of le coq d'or, which was very nice. Excellent way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. Thank you to all the staff there.
Food was great but service could be better. The sommelier was forcing everyone to have a glass of wine and did unwanted refills. We were charged by the glass (over 300$) but it would've been way cheaper by the bottle. Had pieces of paper floating in my water and my friend's coffee had lipstick stains (they were nice and exchanged both for us). Expect to get an email from them if you give a 1-star review. Very sad because we are a large group that have lunch together every month. We all agreed to never come back.
Good experience, good food, nothing out of the ordinary. It's not the kind of complexity that will blow your mind out, but it was decently thought out and well prepared. Compared to other similarly priced experiences, it was lacking any surprise effect in the flavor and culinary conception. They charged for sparkling water, which is not something that should happen at this price point. Service was very good, attentive and experienced.
The best dinner experience of my life. They accommodated me as a vegetarian and put together a vegetarian 6 course tasting menu apparently for the first time ever. You wouldn't know it though, every dish we had (my husband eats meat) was phenomenal. The portions were sized perfectly that you could enjoy a few bites of it and we were stuffed by the end. The service from our waiter Nicolas was impeccable. The lobster risotto and mushroom ravioli in particular were out of this world, as was the dessert. Cannot recommend this place enough. Well worth the money for the quality of food and service.
Another wonderful experience at Le Boulevardier. I first discovered them a few years ago where they impressed me during MTL à Table and I've been back several times over the years as a result. I'm overdue to leave them a review. One of the first things I remember impressing me was how they took my allergies seriously. For instance, one time in the past, I ordered oysters and told them not to bother bringing any hot sauce or anything spicy since I couldn't use it anyways. On their own initiative, they brought me a delicious pear-based mignonette instead that I still rave about. Much more special and unique than the standard onion and red-wine based mignonette that often comes with raw oysters. I also took a chance in 2024 to try their Montreal en Lumiere menu and was totally wowed by the creativity and daring and unique menu they came up with. Now I will focus on my most recent visit in July 2024. I had the scallops in bacon cream sauce and it was delicious. The scallops were cooked just right and I completely cleaned my plate of all the sauce with the bread. It was the kind of dish where you stopped talking to people at your table because it was so delicious you couldn't focus on the conversation and just automatically tune everything out while you are absorbed in the taste explosion in your mouth. The beef with foie gras and potatoes daupinois with asparagus was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved everything on my plate, and it all went together wonderfully. The beef was so tender, each bite melted in my mouth and the foie gras elevated it to another level of decadence. I normally don't order things like steaks, preferring to choose my own cuts of quality beef and cooking them at home, but I had no regrets at all ordering this dish. The knowledgeable servers told us it was a signature dish that they often keep on the menu even when other selections on the menu change. Now I understand why. The dessert was also unique (it had mushroom ice cream) and beautiful. The service was impeccable. Everyone we spoke with was so knowledgeable about the food and alcohol pairings, and knew everything about the menu, what to recommend, etc., and did so with obvious passion, professionalism and enthusiasm. The ambiance is lovely, well decorated, and classy without being stuffy or arrogant. I always feel so comfortable and happy whenever I dine here. The staff are truly welcoming. I also appreciate that they don't cram tables too close together, so you can enjoy your conversations with your companions at your table without raising your voice and feel at ease without feeling like neighboring tables can listen in. Please keep up the excellent food, service and experience! I will definitely be back to try those seafood platters, as well as other items on the menu I didn't get chance to try yet. Le Boulevardier has continued to deliver over the years and has landed in my personal top 10 in Montreal list. I hope they continue in this fashion and I look forward to my next visit.
Had a beautiful evening with family and friends. Fantastic service from Stephanie and Jordan. Food was exceptional!
Everything was good, from the food to the service.
I love Germain. I like the place. Lets say the sommelier comes to the table faster than the waiter or the bill for the meal. Besides, we dont bother to ask if its 50%-50%, when the clients dont seem to be spouses! Which means we have to start again. The noise level was abnormally high yesterday afternoon. The meal was excellent. The scents of the hall left a good memory at the start. See you soon. Parking: Better to go there on foot. Or park in a public parking lot around.
A wonderful experience with delicious food and drinks!
Excellent in every way
The dishes are good but 2h30 for a 6-course menu is horribly long. Its not the first time weve come but it will be the last.
A friendly, attentive and professional service like no other in Montreal! An exquisite, flawless menu... A real treat! And the restaurant is cozy and comfortable while keeping its chic side, and which is a change from noisy places where you cant hear yourself speaking. A pearl of Montreal, for these people, its menu, and its setting! A friendly, attentive and professional service like you cant find in Montreal anymore! An exquisite menu, without fault... A real treat! And the restaurant is cozy and comfortable while keeping its chic side, which is a really nice change from all the noisy places where you cant hear yourself speak. A Montreal gem, for its people, its menu, and its setting! Just go!
Delicious from start to finish. And great service too!
Very good food. Restaurant is inside the hotel and you go up a flight of stairs. We reserved a table. I had the salad nicioise and it was excellent.
duck starter well done; but Main dish of deer - meat tough and potato undercooked; main dish with scallops - risotto too cheese wizz like with only three very small scallops; mille feuille dessert was very good
Attentive service and creative dishes! Cocktails are inventive and very good!
Scallop number one
Great food, very reasonable prices! Our server and Sommelier were both absolutely fantastic, they gave us all the advice, knew the menu and were attentive the entire time. They were never intrusive though. Would highly suggest for a nice evening out!
My lunch was good; one of my guests had the salade niçoise, which he said was not very good. The space is noisy. And both times I was there (24 & 25 October), service dropped away once the food was served. We ran out of water and it was hard to get attention to order coffee or get the bill.
Thank you to all the Boulevardier team, we had a very pleasant evening and our gourmet meal was divine - I highly recommend this restaurant.
A hidden gem in downtown Montreal, they have the real French style dishes, food is impeccable , service is great, and fancy but not extravagant atmosphere.
Food & service were amazing.
Very good restaurant in the center of Montreal where we had a great time tasting the 4-course menu for $65! It was very good and very well presented! We took the 4-glass wine option, a bit of a shame that we only tasted French wines, I think...the wine list is almost non-existent for world wines, I think its a shame to focus on French wines when the wines are foreigners allow us to make great discoveries...otherwise the quantities of wine in the glasses are too tight on a menu at this price it really gives the impression that we are not there to please the customers....
We went there for the Montréal à Table experience and what a great discovery! Delicious menu, friendly and present staff and well decorated place. We loved the attention of offering a round of Coq d or to the guests! Vegetarian options: Menu adapted for vegetarians
Nice place. Good breakfast
Perfection
Delightful staff, beautiful food and great service- make this your destination
Excellent experience. Can t wait to go back!
Excellent fond and Great service!
You can try this place but honestly the food was average and extremely expensive. The salmon tartare, side dishes, ravioli and desert were disappointing. Unfavorable value for money. Our waitress was good though.
Le Boulevardier offers delicious, beautifully presented dishes in a cozy, stylish setting. Excellent service and a thoughtful wine list make it a must-visit!
Loved this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the service was great our server was super attentive. We were greeted right away and felt very welcomed. The dishes came quickly with no long wait. The restaurant itself was gorgeous. I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back!
Good dining environment, warm service, every dish is impeccable
Excellent service, refined and delicious dishes! Creative wine pairing!
The Carpaccio and the cromesquier which are particularly good
We went there as part of MTL à table dinner. Great options and fantastic food. We had wine pairing. Some wines hit the spot, some didnt, but we appreciated the effort that went into it. The service was really good especially considering how busy they were.
Exceptional service, food/wine pairing meal more than perfect. Very nice experience!
Thanks to Stéphanie for the very appreciable service, the food is good, you are guaranteed to eat well. The only problem is that the restaurant remains quite noisy in my opinion.
Reservation for my girlfriends birthday on November 6. Its been a long time since weve had such an experience in a restaurant. The place is splendid, the staff attentive and the food is excellent. A big thank you to the whole team, it was perfect! And we let the team know it before leaving. Please, there is no better reward for these excellent workers than customer recognition. Take the time to say thanks and not just on Google. Good evening
Everything was perfect!
Excellent value
Honestly an exceptional evening. Another gourmet address to add to your notebook in Montreal. If the Germain hotel has its two Michelin keys, its restaurant Le Boulevardier would also be worthy of a Michelin star!
Very good meal at MTL à Table. We are very happy. Small downside for the noise (for those wearing hearing aids), but this is due to the crowd and the restaurant cannot do much about it. We recommend without hesitation
Excellent meal, service and atmosphere. A great discovery. Certainly one of the best restaurants in Montreal.
Impressive dining experience. In-house French sommelier was very sweet. Food was cooked well and presented beautifully, although with a bit of extra salt will make it even better. Nice decor & view. Will re-visit.
Beautiful restaurant, everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The service was really perfect. A special mention to your butler Tom. He was super attentive and so professional and welcoming.
We were a group of 11 people to whom I wanted to introduce this wonderful, intimate and warm restaurant, in downtown Montreal, well hidden in the heart of the Hotel Germain. We were able to taste an incredible gourmet menu, created especially for the Montreal à table festival. 4 courses of 3 choices each, each as delicious and wonderfully presented as the next, with a perfect wine pairing that is absolutely worth discovering! The service was very professional, attentive and warm. Another strong point: we could hear each other talking and have conversations between all of us, despite our large group, something unfortunately too rare these days due to the noise level being far too high in many restaurants A huge congratulations and thank you to the entire kitchen, service and wine team, in particular Marc and Tom Diane Sauvé and her group
Very nice experience for Montreal at the table. All the dishes were delicious and the pairings relevant. Thanks to Tom for his excellent welcome and professional service from start to finish.
Restaurant tested as part of MTL à table. It was excellent!! Refined dishes, the sauces and seasonings were delicious. Careful service, especially from the passionate sommelier. I recommend
Classy restaurant, very pleasant service. My friend and I had a delightful experience as part of the Montréal à Table event.
Nice prix fixe menu. Fair wine pairings - not all well matched.
I tried the restaurant three times while staying at the Germain Hotel. The lunch menu offers a nice variety, including the classic American lunch, healthier options but also European-style lunches with pastries. The lunch menu also offers a good choice. I really liked the tuna tartare. The best surprise, however, is in the evening. The restaurant offers a 4 course starting at $65 where you choose between 2 or 3 options for each course. You can also add a food and wine pairing for an additional $45. I found the cuisine very tasty and comforting. It was also excellent value for money and I had a lovely evening. I am now thinking of going back there with my family on my next visit to Montreal.
It was a sublime evening! The employees are so attentive. We will definitely come back!
Excellent evening! I service was perfect and the food wow! Generous plates for the price and quality of flavor. Thank you MTL at the table :)
Went there for Mtl à table Vibe and decor was very good! Enjoyed a lot! Sommelier was experienced! Staff was friendly! All the dishes were very good except for desserts! However 1) Didn t get bread - in fact had to ask for it while we were waiting for our 1st service impatiently! 2) Moctail not that great - better take a lemonade or soft drinks! 3) The dessert that was suggested to be different and good ( with some kind of chocolate rice cracker and pear sorbet I believe..) - not good at all!
A magnificent restaurant, with impeccable service, a very pleasant atmosphere and delicious dishes!
I have a reservation at 6 p.m. we arrived on time, we didnt even order and the waiter told us we have until 7:45 p.m. for the table, if we havent finished our bottle of wine we would have to continue to bar, really unpleasant still bill for 2 people $450
Excellent experience! Impeccable food! An exceptional sommelier, she remembered my last visit and adjusted the food and wine pairing! Im a fan of the boulevardier and I will definitely go back, well done!
I really liked the service! The employees are so welcoming! The food is good I liked the starter as well as the dessert (superb) I liked the side dish less Kid-friendliness: Same there is enough space for toddlers Wheelchair accessibility: There are elevators
Excellent innovative and aesthetic food. Meticulous and quality personal service.
Excellent restaurant (first time for lunch). Tasty dish, decent portion. A little disappointed by the gourmet coffee with the sweets - especially because the waitresss description gave us the impression that it was a fairly generous dessert that could even be shared...this really wasnt the case: -) For the rest, very satisfied: atmosphere, service and location.
Amazing tasting menu and wine pairings in a comfortable and hospitable space.
Favorite spot for a work lunch, love everything about Le Boulevardier!
We had dinner for my parent s 50th wedding anniversary celebration and our expectations were blown out of the water. The service was generous, thoughtful, and extremely professional, the food was unique and on point. We laughed, cried, and spent 4 glorious hours feeling deeply cared for and inspired. Really truly a wonderful experience.
Excellent service, very friendly and happy personnel, Delicious food, truly worth visiting and spending quality time, My appreciation to all restaurant staff, Food : 5/5
Super delicious and cozy place
Magnificent moment as part of the French Culinary Academy...
Excellent restaurant with a short list of dishes but with carefully prepared dishes. Extensive wine list
Everything about our dinner was a 10/10 from the amazing service to the food. Unfortunately I can t remember our servers name but he was phenomenal! Will 100% be recommending and returning when we find ourselves back in Montreal.
A wonderful gem - great food, great service, and a great ambiance.
Excellent business meal, tb service
What a great discovery! We were there during the Thanksgiving stay. Cleanliness, valet and expert concierge service, superb and affordable cuisine, quiet on the floors. The decor is a mix between the mid century and the 60s and the modern, favorite. Only comment from us, cost of the wine list by the glass and in general but made up for by their import inventories. Jef and Audrey Parking: eager service but must use the valets for the whole, more limited access.
A quick stop at Boulevardier for a good hearty lunch. I had the American lunch. It was very good! Cozy atmosphere and excellent service. THANKS !
We had the tasting menu and it was a real delight! We didnt know where to have lunch the next day, so we went back!
Nice place for happy hour
Super!!!!
Everything is perfect here! THANKS!
Amazing!!! Thank you Nicolas and Amélie!!!
Nicolas and Amélie are so good that they should get married (Preferably in France)
Excellent service from Nicolas and Amélie, they advised us on all the menu as well as the wines. The atmosphere and the food are incredible
lovely French restaurant if a little loud at lunch. The beef tartare was superb. Nice wine list too. Great for entertaining clients.
Very nice restaurant in the city center. Refined cuisine and impeccable service. The place is magnificent and the view really beautiful. The only small criticism would be the air conditioning a little too strong in certain areas of the restaurant.
Great dinner. Service was excellent and food was perfect! Will book again Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food : 5/5 |
Fine French Cuisine with lots of flavor and a beautiful presentation Excellent service I recommend
Everything perfect, a great evening!
Exceptional services, Exceptional food, Exceptional attention to details. We privatized the restaurant for a big event and had an amazing evening on all fronts. Highly recommend
We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was excellent, each dish tasty and worthy of great gastronomy. The portions are well balanced. On the other hand, the wine pairing totally disappointed us. For a fee of $95 per person, you would expect a lot more. The first service was accompanied by a beer tasting (definitely, we are far from a wine pairing), for the 2nd service, we offered a Bread and Butter which I refused, we were then served a Jos Meyer that you can find for $23 at the SAQ... the waiter poured the bottom of the bottle with the residue into my glass. The portions were not generous. Were talking 2.5 ounces per serving... we finished with a Frangelico. For a $95 per person pairing, one would expect IP wines and not beer and Frangelico...
Very good food and very good service, thank you to the waiters who served us all 5 that evening on Monday August 26, 2024!
Excellent restaurant, nice atmosphere and good food
First experience, certainly not the last. Our meal was very good. Excellent service.
Great place for lunch! Incredible food!
Amazing food (the filet mignon was terrific!). Service is top level, ambiance is just perfect for a romantic dinner, an evening with friends or a work meeting. Definitely a 5-star restaurant!
Service so slow that the waiter between serving the dishes no longer remembered whether he should speak to us in French or English!
Great food, French style, and a very nice selection of cocktails and wine. Staff is friendly
Everything was exceptional, ambience, food, service and particularly our service. What a wonderful evening.
We were sincerely received like kings. The food is simply delicious. Impeccable service and a relaxed atmosphere despite the fact that the restaurant was full. We ate the scallops and lobster French toast as a starter and as a main meal the filet mignon, the rack of lamb and the sea bass fillet. Everything was delicious. No negative points. The only downside, and that s for all bars and restaurants, Clamato in a fountain for a Bloody Caesar is a big NO. It is not drinkable. I think it would be 100% better with bottled Clamato. Besides that, everything was perfect. We will be back soon to continue the tradition.
Le Boulevardier is one of the best restaurants in Montreal. The dishes are excellent, from starter to dessert, with quality products and very original combinations. The service is impeccable and the team is very friendly, professional and dedicated. Recommended to anyone in Montreal who wants to have a great time, whether with friends, family or for a business meal.
Nice French restaurant with tasty food and relaxed atmosphere.
Dinner with friends to mark a birthday. Everything lived up to our expectations. Thank you Nicolas and Axelle at the service and a big THANK YOU to the brigade. Each of the dishes tasted were memorable. One more star for the scallop starter and the vegetarian dish which were famous! Well done Boulvardier... Vegetarian options: The ravioli dish was perfect, in flavor and quantity. Dietary restrictions: Respect our garlic allergy.
Updates: The restaurant followed up quickly and apologized, which is a nice gesture to show that they do care about their service. So updating my overall rating. Original review: We visited to celebrate our wedding, expecting a memorable experience, but it was far from that. The sommelier was dismissive after congratulating us, simply because we opted for cocktails instead of a bottle of wine. When ordering drinks, he ignored me and two others at the table, and only after the entire table flagged him down did he grudgingly take my order. He still ignored the rest, and we had to repeatedly call him back to finish our orders. The food was overpriced and disappointing overcooked foie gras and mediocre dishes. Service was slow and inattentive. For a high-end restaurant, it was a letdown. Wouldn t recommend.
What an unpleasant experience we had for lunch and it s unfortunate as the place is 5 mins away from our office... My team and I went in for a corporate lunch and something went sour and made the whole experience very uncomfortable. The good: we pre-ordered appetizers and main courses the day before and the appetizers were served as we were sitting down (super fast service!). Food was generally decent. Some portions were very small, others perfect. The ugly: the sommelier!! He brute forced wine on my team telling them it was included, pouring in 26$ à glass to most..interesting as I specifically mentioned that we will not be buying any bottles of wine and ended up paying significantly higher in total he was not even asking whether they wanted any, just forcing in red or white for you? . This made them extremely uncomfortable and me extremely unhappy with the bill they also served the 10$ desserts on everyone without asking I have to say the deserts were removed from the bill when we mentioned that only one person wanted it as per our pre-selections. Hence, very unpleasant experience and unorthodox upselling techniques. We will not be coming back.
we tried breakfast at the Boulevardier restaurant. everything was perfect, the à la carte menu (very good choice of breakfast) with the possibility of adding dishes, the kindness of the waitress, the atmosphere and decoration of the room. the plates were beautifully presented and it was really excellent. the gravlax salmon a treat. In short, a top restaurant.
Very nice experience at Boulevardier. The dishes are very well executed, tasty and beautiful. The service is impeccable and the place is very pleasant. It s one of the best places to have lunch in the city center!
Probably one of the best restaurants currently in Montreal, without a doubt. The customer is at the center of all attention: welcome, service, quality and preparation of dishes. An excellent address to discover or rediscover, the menu is an invitation to taste...and to come back. We can only congratulate the team in place.
One of our best moments in Montreal, cant wait to go back :) See you soon I hope
Excellent table for lunch. A brilliant and talented current team
Superb gastronomic experience in a beautiful setting. I start again with my eyes closed.
Amazing place, the food was delightful and Jordane the sommelier took great care of us suggesting a french wine called Laroche vineuse, the pairing was fantastic. I definitely recommend.
Exceptional place. Sincere thanks for an unforgettable taste and wine experience. Special mention to Sommelier Jordane. My most sincere thanks for your expertise and wise advice during this meal. Thanks to your passion and your perfect knowledge of wines, you have greatly enriched our experience. Each pairing you suggested beautifully enhanced our dishes and made this moment memorable. Your attention to detail and your ability to share your knowledge with simplicity and generosity really impressed us. We are very grateful for the quality of your service and hope to have the opportunity to benefit from your recommendations again on future occasions. Thanks again for everything.
Perfect welcome Jordan sommelier at the top
While visiting Montreal, I had the chance to dine in this restaurant, the food was excellent and the advice from sommelier Jordan was just perfect! Thank you so much
We came to eat one evening with my partner and it was excellent!!! The service was fast, smiling and attentive. The cuisine was a taste and visual pleasure! Thanks too To the sommelier Jordan who knew how to take the time and advise us well despite the crowds in the restaurant. Thanks to this I was able to discover Orange wine which I did not know but which I recommend!! Thank you for this moment! We will come back!
What a beautiful evening! We were going there for the second time as a couple, the first in winter for their famous meat with pan-fried foie gras, this time at the end of summer with the superb seafood platter Le Boulevardier. Never disappointed. The service really makes the difference for a good restaurant because it is personalized, friendly and warm. The sommelier and the head waiter were really attentive without imposing themselves, available for discussion because we were very curious to understand their motivations for such great service On the plate side, we also really liked the dessert, notably the choice based on mushroom ice cream, an originality brought by a very young, daring and creative Chef who left us in awe. Coming from the hotel industry myself, I respect these professions and the art of serving beautiful and good food. A restaurant, although in a hotel, to be discovered by locals in search of culinary sensations and emotions!
Le Boulevardier is one of our favorite restaurants, where we like to return every year for a romantic dinner. There is a unique atmosphere, a perfect balance between the warm comfort of feeling at home, thanks to the kindness and courtesy of the service, and the gastronomic experience, always up to our expectations. Special mention to the sommelier for this quality advice and to the young pastry chef who amazes our taste buds with her generosity and creativity. We can only highly recommend this experience.
Truly a Chaine experience!
Just bliss for the taste buds. Delicious dishes and the service was impeccable. I will definitely return.
Parking: Good luck Food
I went there for a dinner with colleagues and wow, beautiful, very charming little restaurant with smoked windows which gives it a cozy and chic atmosphere. Lunch table dhôte is definitely worth it. I also had very good courteous service, he was very professional and smiling :). I would happily return.
The food was very refined, tasty and the perfect quantity. Great service as always!
Very expensive ($300 for a 4 course for two people, the least expensive bottle of wine at $60, tax and tip), but so delicious that you have to pay for it at least once in your life Dietary restrictions: Pepper intolerance, be careful!!
Quick service. Small portions, which is fine, but it felt like it was fancy to be fancy without the variety of tastes we expected. Its ok; just not worth eating there when we only have four days in Montreal
Excellent discovery! Refined and varied cuisine with a fine selection of wine by the glass. I highly recommend!
Very nice experience at the Boulevardier which I discovered during the Montréal en Lumière festival. I have been back several times for dinner since and have never been disappointed. Efficient service, high quality dishes and a table dhôte formula for very good value for money. I highly recommend!
It was my first time at this restaurant. The Cromesquis Canard- duck foie gras was creamy and rich. The filet beef was juicy and cooked to absolute perfection. Dessert which was an extremely tiny (only probably a couple of bites) Champignons-Erable was delicious. Our server was very chatty but not too attentive. I found it a little chilly in the restaurant and the atmosphere didn t have a warm and elegant feel of a high end restaurant. I will definitely return for the exquisite food.
Beautiful atmosphere, the platter to share for the starter is very appetizing and fresh. Our dishes were perfect. The sommelier gave us good advice with great enthusiasm. We had a lovely evening.
The food was absolutely amazing! But if you dont speak French - forget about it. Some staff is interns from France that dont know how to speak English, the other portion are from Quebec that are taught to make you feel miserable if you do speak English, even when you try to be extremely nice to them. If you want to ruin your evening thats definitely a place to be. Extremely sad as the chef is talented and the food is amazing. But its hard to put up with the snobs in service that completely ignore you just because you speak English. Disgraceful place, shame on you - you definitely dont represent all the good and sweet Canadians we met last few days.
The seafood platter is great and fresh. The Rack of lamb is tasty.
Delicious food and friendly, attentive service
Very delicious food. Great atmosphere and the wines chosen by our sommelier were excellent. Highly recommend.
I recommend you try Le Boulevardier restaurant in downtown Montreal. It was a must-try gastronomic experience! Very beautiful decor to look at, the warm and courteous service that makes you feel at home! The dishes are original, delicate in taste and very surprising in their combination and taste! To try with family, friends or as a couple! I plan to go back with pleasure!
Impeccable and friendly service. Fast and efficient. The food is excellent, the dosage is perfect, the portions not too big not too small. The price is perfect for what you order. Impeccable and friendly service. Fast and efficient. The food is excellent, the dosage is perfect, the portions not too big not too small. The price is perfect for what you order.
The service and atmosphere exceeded expectations. The soup was extremely small but tasty three or four spoonfulls not worth ordering. We had the worst desert of our lives here. Very poor deserts. It was horrible focaccia ice cream and peach. To be clear it was very very bad. Sad because the main couses were excellent. They need a new pastry chef.. Kid-friendliness: Good for older children/ young adults
Incredible meal, impeccable service, what more could you ask for! A place to go for sure!
Beautiful place and excellent service!
I would have given 6 stars if it was an option. This place is INCREDIBLE! I had the pleasure of having Amelie as a server, Nicholas recommended an amazing wine, and Sidney made me the best cosmo I ve ever had. Highly recommend :)
On June 27 for my partners birthday, it was good but nothing more. For me, an overcooked golden ballotine, the dish seemed reheated. My partner loved the rabbit dish.
Exceptional! Wonderful evening at Le Boulevardier restaurant. Amélie and Nicolas generously shared their passion for gastronomy and advised us on how to enjoy refined dishes cooked with love with top quality ingredients. Our excellent sommelier was able to enhance everything with surprising wine choices for our greatest pleasure. The prime rib of rare quality and cooked to perfection and the rack of lamb are to be recommended. Light and subtle desserts end an extraordinary meal in style. Thank you all for your professionalism and extreme kindness. A must-see address!
Very nice stay at the Germain hotel and in the very nice restaurant Boulvardier with very friendly service and very good quality food. Thank you very much to the whole team
Ordered a tasting menu 6 courses. Sophisticated. Flavorful. Classic French plating Sweat fresh crab meat. Calamari perfect tender loverly dressing but croutons felt bit hard not crunchy. Perfect Lobster risotto. Very flavorful rabit saddle and plum and just the right salt. Good cheese plate average age / dryness / good flavor. Amazing gelato dessert I dont understand why utensils were not changed between dishes. Plating is good and classic but suggest to elevate a bit since many like it wow on photo. Restaurant had a high end setting. Nice decor / lighting / color scheme. Nice comfort bench Host and server show welcome / smile. Server seems mix experience. I was seated and there is no one came to us for approx 10 min maybe less I didnt time. Just a greeting is all we needed if you are busy. I asked for a change of table windows seat and got the okay from the host. There is missed of communication where other reply windows seating was reserved I had only tap water and no wine. I felt I was pushed for bottle water. Reminded second time to get me slice of lemon. When refill my water I was asked bottle water again. This show server doesnt remember what I ordered in such a high end setup. At least they serve dishes on the serving side. Server did not brief on dishes being served. It is often a nice touch to tell guess whats on your plate.
If you are looking for French fine dining, you can try this place but honestly the food was average and extremely overpriced. Our server was good though.
Great dinner - highly recommended
Everything was perfect. Many thanks to you. Vegetarian options: Veggie dish
Wonderful vibe and truly tremendous service. We can t say enough about Emily! Thank you everyone! Lobster French toast was an amazing appetizer!
Its going to be pricey, but its worth it. Treat yourself. Excellent wine recommendations and the food made me feel like I was a rockstar eating out. Hint, ask for a side of seared foie. Thank you Ocean and Jordane!!! Superb!!!
Beautiful restaurant. A hidden gem. From the hostess to the sommelier to the floor manager: Attentive staff, warm and very friendly. As for the food: Outstanding and beautifully presented (oysters on the half shell, mushroom raviolis, sea bass); paired with a sommelier recommended chenin blanc. Will make it round two, next time in Montreal. Vegetarian options: The mushroom ravioli is house made and absolutely delicious!
Dining here is always a delicious experience. Ambiance, good service and great food guaranteed
Cant recommend this place enough. We made reservations for a bachelor party for a nice dinner and opted for the wine pairing and fixed menu. It was outstanding and definitely an experience. The service was top notch.
We had a very good evening in this restaurant. The place is magnificent, the staff lovely. Our monthly date night took place here and we have absolutely no regrets. The service and food were great (even where we were seated). The presentation and flavors of the dishes lived up to what we expected. Thank you Jordan for your good humor, your advice and your service! We highly recommend!
A must in MTL
Good food, great service. Really enjoyed our business lunch!
Good restaurant i like it
The good: really nice restaurant. The bad: the salmon tartare was bland and the side dishes were really disappointing. The ugly: the service was extremely long despite restaurant being half empty and the waitress barely spoke to us, didn t explain the menu and didn t even offered us coffee and desert despite being included in the table d hôte.
Exceptional service from Jordane and Amélie and the food is excellent.
Both Amelie et Jordane were amazing and we loved how they were so knowledgeable, friendly and yet not over extending their presence. Asked for them. Food was very deliciousdo not hesitate, the quality isnt debatable. Beef and foie Gras, yummm
Excellent restaurant, one of the best we have had in Montreal. We were very well received. Everything was perfect
I go to this restaurant every June 1st to celebrate a special event: what joy every year! The team is just perfect, from the service to the cuisine including wonderful advice on wines and spirits. The team takes the time to chat with you and helps make your meal a unique and special moment. Special mention to Jordan for his wine advice, to Amélie and Nicolas for their perfect service; they also knew how to liven up our festive evening with elegance and good humor. Whether for an event, a business meal or simply to discover good gastronomy, I recommend it with your eyes closed.
Thank you for the lovely lunch!
Most delicious food I ve ever had in a restaurant. First time at a French Cuisine. The Wait staff was very patient, friendly, pleasure to talk to and took his time to explain to us newbies when we had questions. Very grateful for his service. Worth every penny.
We had a nice dinner at Le Boulevardier. Though the menu is pretty limited, most of our food was very good. Lobster toast was OK, though had onions which were not listed on the menu. Duck confit Witt foie gras was good though not at all what I expected based on the menu description and was basically a duck meatball. Oysters were so-so and they did not have cocktail sauce. Tenderloins with grill foie gras were good, though one was a bit overcooked. Good meal overall, though slightly overpriced. Service was fine.
We really liked the Sommeliers service and all the service was impeccable. Thank you all
What a lovely evening at this delightful restaurant in the Hotel St Germaine in Montreal. Four of us chose different meals from the menu and we were all delighted. Rack of lamb, lobster French toast, mushroom ravioli, lobster risotto all were uniquely presented and delicious! Excellent service. Outstanding desserts ( one with mushroom powder that was to die for!). This restaurant is underutilized which is a shame. One of the best meals we have had in Montreal. Highly recommend!
Excellent. Nothing to complain about, the setting of the restaurant is very beautiful, the service is impeccable and the cuisine is delicious. We went there for lunch and it was very good value for money. I highly recommend.
What a great place! The food, The Service!
The dishes were good, although the fish portion was a bit small. However, I was disappointed not to be able to order dessert. However, there were dessert choices on the lunch menu online.
Excellent evening we were very well received the service of the sommelier Jordan was perfect these suggestions were right in our tastes! The food was excellent the only weak point I would say was the quantity of the risotto however the taste was divine! Beautiful place beautiful atmosphere excellent service taste on the plate I highly recommend it
The meal was very good but we ordered 2 glasses of 9oz white wine at $70 for both and they arrived already poured into the decanter without us seeing the bottles. At this price, it is best to pour the wine at the table.
The food was amazing! The chef is truly talented. Nicole is was a wonderful host. The five plate dinner was delicious! Merci. Food
Food was absolutely amazing. For starter we had oysters and the lobster french toast - both excellent. For main I had the Beef Tenderloin topped with Foie Gras and it was the best tenderloin Ive had anywhere. I think the Foie Gras really just took it to the next level and thats not a typically available steak topping where Im from. The servers were all friendly and very helpful and we needed some help because we didnt speak much French. Definitely would recommend and I wished we had gone here earlier in our trip so we could go again. Kid-friendliness: We didnt need it because our daughter is not a picky eater but they offered additional picky-kid friendly options just in case.
Perfect atmosphere for a lunch. Menu likely to please everyone. I will go back without hesitation
Very good restaurant, the service is perfect, the food is very good and the atmosphere is excellent. The price very well reflects the quality you will receive during your visit. Place to visit for sure.
Unfortunately, despite this being a frequent favourite of our family, this was the second poor experience. Upon arrival, in advance 15 minutes for a 1230 table, I was admonished for being too early. I was advised to wait elsewhere and come back. Not politely - abrasive and frankly rude. Upon my return at 1225, the host seated three couples who arrived AFTER me. Seated and waiting an eternity for water. Upon arrival of my guest, the same host hovered waiting for us to order (no time to decide). The meal finished and the restaurant 80% empty, we waited 20 minutes for our dirty plates to be removed. We ordered cappuccinos and the dessert trio each. The coffee arrived quickly, the dessert trio 15 minutes later - coffee finished. Very, very poor service. Very unfortunate for such a previously excellent establishment. This was the second poor visit in a row. Looking for a new destination. Best regards
Perfect from start to finish. Cuisine, service, top notch. Special mention for Jordan, the somelier, who knows how to transmit to you the passion for wine and its terroirs. See you soon
