Great local spot to grab some delicious pizza for takeout. Our family go-to for pizza nights!

The pizza was just disgusting it had a terrible taste and it usually tasted really good. This time it went right into the trash can,the guy smeared something on top of it and it tasted horrible.

I love this place. You feel like a king when you eat here. I come for breakfast after tennis. Sit on the patio and let the joy come in. The coffee is from Union Cafe which is so tasty.

So I ordered fish and chips they give you half a cup of fries two small pieces of premade fish and chips no tartar sauce no lemon, not impressed

If there was a zero rating, I could have given it to this restaurant. They participated in too goodtogo. When we pay and approach them they treat us like beggars and when I paid 6$ for a surprise bag, they kept me waiting for 10 min.and gave me a few French fries in a small box . I trow it in their dust bin itself. Thank you for insulting people.

So I order online....they confirm it...take my money...prepare it...tell me its on route...and then nothing. They wont pick up the phone, no way to contact the driver, and now Ive waited over an hour and its midnight....oh, and the system after 50 min of saying it was on route, now all of a sudden says completed....thanks a lot guys, really top notch service.

Totally forgot to take photos. Well-rounded pizza /pasta place with a nice patio. Pasta was home made with a decent sauce, but a little bland. The Monkland Sub was PERFECt. Would defintely return for this and the fries were hot, fresh and full of flavour. Pizzas looked and smelled great, but we didnt order - would go back to try the pizzas as well.

Just ordered an XL takeout special, all dressed. When I went to pick it up 20 minutes later the staff had my pizza open on a counter and were whispering something in nervous, hushed tones. When they saw I arrived they shut the box all shady. One bite of the pizza and there was some gritty material on it like dirt or small stones. Clearly they had dropped the pizza or something. Absolutely disgusting place. Just moved to the area and I will never be back to monkland grill. Once is enough to know what I am dealing with here.

The food had hair in it. The servers behavior is just rude. It was just a terrible experience.

I ordered for delivery. The large Caesar for $18.00, was a plate with a bit of lettuce and two containers of cheap Kraft dressing and I had to put it together myself. Everything was separate. The garlic bread was OK, but very small. The spaghetti was fairly small and was not great at all. The Caesar salad for $18 is such a rip off, I actually considered calling the restaurant and arguing to get my money back. That bad. Expect very tiny portions here!

Lack of respect with the customer. I ordered a pizza which took around 40 minutes to arrive. A peperoni pizza and they delivered another pizza. I called, and to change you have to wait over 40 minutes because they have a lot of deliveries. I waited almost 2 hours for a mistake that wasnt mine and the pozza arrived cold. Last time with them.

I order from here whenever I need something quick, and Im always super happy with the food. Its always fresh, tastes great, and service is excellent! For a place that offers a wide variety of food, they make it all better than restaurants who specialize in one thing!

been ordering here for years and lately it just gets worse and worse. ordered the potato and rice side today. this is what i received. used to get a nice plate of food. today i got 2 little pieces of potato and a couple of spoons of rice. the container is 3\4s empty! looks like someone ate out of it then sent it on to me. potatos and rice are cheap. so i just paid $20 for 50 cents worth of food. when i called and complained the manager assured me next time they would send me more. there will be no next time. done with this place after more than a decade.

I placed an order on xmas eve. My son watched the Monkland Grill delivery app say our order was processed, delivery was on its way, even got a receipt. Waited for over 2 hrs. No delivery, no call from the restaurant, no food. Not cool.

I ordered a pizza at 10:05 p.m., it was canceled by the store because there was no delivery person, I never received it and I did not get a refund on my order. I asked the store more than 3 times for a refund without any reaction from them. I do not recommend ordering on their website, no one on the store staff knows how to track orders on their site, not even the manager Restaurant to avoid for delivery.

A great neighborhood restaurant. Love the pizza lunch offer and when they do have pizza by slice . Anything you order here is gonna taste good

Very decent pizza the alldressed and monkland grill special pizza are my fave, always baked well just the way I like it, but somehow their crust is not consistent sometimes crispy sometimes soft and floppy , need to find a better consistency on the crispy side, acceptable delivery time never had an order delivered over 45 min wait , one of the rare places that still offer free delivery.

We ordered a club sandwich and a smoked meat club. The club came as a tiny sandwich on cheap tiny white bread, no lettuce no tomatoes, and very few fries and a tiny cup of cole slaw The smoked meat club was not one, it was on two tiny pieces of steamed bread, with hardly anything in it ! 43$ plus tip! I was still hungry after and had to make myself something! Which defeats the purpose. I have never felt so cheated...there is a limit to inflation being the cause. NEVER AGAIN EVER!

Amazing service!!! Was ordering on Door Dash because I had a promo and the app wouldn t let me add notes. I had a whole bunch of changes to make. Called the restaurant and they were extremely helpful and patient with all of my requests!

Fantastic food and atmosphere. There are a variety of menu options for everyone in a group and from what weve tasted, everything is absolutely delicious. Will be back for sure

The restaurant is known to have one of the best pizzas, i often get from them even though they are a bit pricier than others in the area, but their ingredients are fresher and their pizza sauce is far better.

Havent gone there for a while and since we had no power, we decided to check it out. Great decision. The place has such a pleasant face lift. Nice decor and new coffee bar. The service and food were excellent; our meals were done perfectly- not too greasy, super fresh, well presented, cooked perfectly. The young lady serving us was so friendly and helpful. All the other meals served to others looked absolutely yummy. Could hear everyone saying their food was really good. Definitely will come back. Took a delivery menu also cuz they offer free delivery. Kudos to the owners on a job well done.

Delicious fresh submarine! The bread was so fresh which made the delicious Monkland submarine even better!

First time. Came on recommendation of an acquaintence. Ordered pita plate, which consisted of soup(lentil), rice, potato, and 1 chicken pita. The soup was so so. The rice was horrible, mushy, tasteless. 2 potato wedges, no flavour. The pita was edible, but Ive had better. All in all, not a great experience, wont be returning anytime, ever. On way home, stopped in at Thai express, grabbed some pad sew to eat at home.

Their margherita is just cheese, even though they charge more for it... They also have basil outside on the terrace so they could technically make it.

Horrible and very Low quality of food. The gyros are so terrible and tasteless, cold, small portion. Overall if you look for all bad things at once and altogether, this is the place.

Greek food classic Montreal style. Lots of traditional favourites to choose from. Parking: Free street parking in NDG. I had no issues finding parking the day we went. Kid-friendliness: No kids were there for lunch. However it seems very accommodating.

After a 3 hour wait we were given moldy food

The pizza was ok not the greatest but I was hungry since my husband and I were working late so stopped by and ordered a Godfather Pizza. It was take out only since it was late which is fine but the pizza it self was super salty. The service was ok. I don t think I d go here again but it may be different story during busy hours where you could dine in.

We have gone for breakfast which has been good. We went for supper. Delicious! I had the Chicken stick plate, tender, very tasty, juicy chicken, rice and potatoes excellent, Cesar salad was good. My hubby had chicken pita, pita was very fresh and he loved it all as well. Price is reasonable. Service was friendly and resto got an upgrade and is very nice.

I ordered a cheese burger from them and got no condiments with the fries. I was hoping to get no sauce since I have a hard time digestion mustard but they soaked it in sauce. All in all was a good burger but I just wish they were able to accommodate. Do not order with them. Went again today, didnt even bother listening to me. Took almost an hour to get the burger and15 minutes for water, Tried to ive it a chance by going in person but they dont care.

This is the second time that I have ordered from here through Uber Eats and items were missing from the order. This time was 3 piece Fish and Chips. It was missing 1 piece of fish and came with mustard and not a tartar sauce, so I ate them dry. They need to take care of their customers even if the order comes through a third party like Uber Eats

Great food and even better customer service. Tried their recently opened Lachine location, while there was a tiny mistake made they 100% made up for it with their customer service. We had a holiday group lunch there with our special needs class, and they accommodated us quite well.

I stop there here and there from time to time got the sub steak and peperonni trio but I cannot recommend their hamburger enough. Delicious!! A little pricey for my taste but that wont stop me from ordering it!

Worst restaurant experience of my life. Having the habit of visiting all the Greeks in the neighborhood, to find the best doner. I found myself paying more than the price indicated on the Menu, with meat drier than at the cobbler... And food poisoning as a bonus. I dont like doing bad reviews, usually I just highlight the excellence of a business, but if I can save someone from a bad experience its worth it!

Great restaurant with great food and great staff. Food is also reasonably priced. I always called 30 minutes ahead of time put in my order and then I go pick it up. I highly recommend their chicken breast plate and the steak and the salmon.

Ordered on Uber eats, the steak dinner was 31$ minus $8 (special), which is quite reasonable for a steak, especially on Ubereats! The steak was cooked perfectly (med-rare), with a nice peppercorn sauce. The rice and potatoes were actually seasoned well! Which always makes me very happy, lol. Its a wonder how so many places just dont season their sides!? The Caesar salad was the only thing that was mediocre, just romaine and croutons, with a thin dressing. But it was good nonetheless! I will definitely be ordering again

Very friendly co-owner served us at their neighborhood terasse pizza/souflaki restaurant. This is the kind of place that fosters regulars. A little bit more upscale than a regular hotdog joint, but no hint of pretentiousness . Menu is fairly extensive. Between the three of us, we had a gyro plate, Philly sub, and fish and chips . We were all satisfied with our meals but determined, that we will go back, because the giant pizza that was delivered to the next table, looked overly enticing. And now, the patio space has been enlarged with additional tables on the side of the restaurant.

Went there for lunch, great prices for the portions! Dont expect to be served in French, but still good service. Good luck finding a meatless dish on the menu, but it is possible to order off the menu, which is very appreciated. Small downside for the toilets in the basement, the facilities are clean, but the place could do with a good update. Updated 2022...the decor has changed, the staff and the menu too. DISAPPOINTMENT, mediocre service, average dishes relatively decent price, but you are charged $3 for a dish water coffee when it is supposedly included according to the menu. Not possible to be served in French and good luck in English. Please refrain. You also have to be patient because the cook is also the delivery man...

A happy accident allowed us to find this absolutely fabulous place! The service was friendly, fast and a great value! I had the monkland grill sandwich... just wow. So delicious! We got takeout so sauces were all on the side so nothing got soggy.. the food was less then HALF of what we were trying to order elsewhere before finding Monkland Grill!! And it only took about 15 mins for everything.. which, once again was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Fresh, fast, friendly fabulous and affordable. Wish we lived closer.. it would become a reg for us!

Pizzas and souvlakis are good, their care about quality.

I used to order from this place a while back. I m sure that the owners were of Greek origin. Not the case now as the taste of the food is no where near Greek cuisine. The potatoes in the porc plater are very very lemony and the rice is so bland that it clearly shows the cooks do not have the Greek cuisine in them. The Greek salad is NOT a Greek salad.Don t waste your money if your looking for Greek cuisine and live in the NDG area. You have a lot better options than Monkland grill. Was good back in the day but not so much now. The reason for the 1 star is that the tzatziki tasted somewhat right. The pitas have 4 pieces of skinny meat. Greeks feed their people, these guys feed their pockets with your money. Shameful.

Took some review advice from some people about their Monkland Grills pizza, I can honestly say one of the best pizza on this side of town, price is a bit high but the quality is there, they are quick got my order just under 30min which is a big plus. Ill order another time to see their consistency.

Souvlakis are 1/3 the size they used to be. Fries are dry and burnt, I just spent 25 dollars for something that shouldnt cost more than 15. New management are ruining this restaurant and are skimping on quality. NEVER EVER AGAIN. PS: look elsewhere.

A scam

I ordered a sandwich today through Uber Eats and chose the Pepperoni sandwich specifically because it didnt have any mushrooms in the ingredient list. When the sandwich arrived, it was filled with mushrooms ... I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Very upsetting. Since i was starving, i actually cried when i got SPOILED rice. I thought i could at least eat the gyro pita, but the gyro was PINK and i found a hair inside when i took a bite. Terrible experience! Not only could i get food poisoning from it, im concerned about their sanitation with Covid and all as well. Who would have thought that trying a new restaurant would give me a trip to the hospital Edit: I tried to at least eat the salad so that I dont starve... I find a tiny rock. A ROCK?!?! Please thoroughly wash your vegetables. Im actually crying so much Im starving

So far I have had the pizza, sub, hamburger and pita. All have been excellent. And on top of all that, the service is excellent and the prices very reasonable. I am pretty stingy with 5 star review, but these folks really deserve them.

There was a HAIR on my pizza. The tomato sauce seemed like it was some kind of a spaghetti sauce! I ordered a hawaien pizza and the ham was like sandwich kind of ham 2/5 do not recommend

Very Fast, very courteous, everything nice and fresh and still Hot!!! Drinks were also still cold. But the best for last, the pieces of porc...were not only tender, juicy but the Perfect size!!!!!!!! No need to cut or fight with it! Thank you very much from all of us :) :) :)

I have been a client of Monkland Grill for over twenty years, and have never been disappointed. Their Souvlaki has been my go-to since day one, and in my opinion its the best I have ever had. Same with their Caesar salad - I have no idea how they make the dressing but I wish I did. I also love the ownership story behind it - if memory serves the original kitchen staff bought the restaurant off the owners and have run it with pride ever since. Congratulations, and keep up the good work!

Impeccable service, all health measures are respected. They check the vaccination passport before placing orders. The food is delicious and served hot. The only thing, I wish there was a waitress or an attendant in place of all these men. Otherwise, I loved eating there.
