1923 Saint-Catherine St W, Montreal, Quebec H3H 1M3, Canada
I have never seen such a small burger. You will get a lot of fries and almost no burger.
Overall, this was a meal I couldn’t finish. If you’re considering this place, think twice. Unfortunately, my experience was far from good. I ordered a burger and fries, and both were a major disappointment. The burger was a letdown right from the first bite - the patty was undercooked and felt unsafe to eat. Y’all completely ruined the entire meal! As for the fries, they were no better. They tasted overwhelmingly of old, greasy oil, with no seasoning or flavor beyond that. They were soggy and left a heavy, oily feeling with every bite.
How can you send out a burger so undercooked that it’s raw in the middle? You can’t see the meat on the grill as it cooks? This isn’t a steak. Ground beef needs to be cooked.
As a fan of classic comfort food, I’m always on the lookout for a good burger and fries, so I decided to try Uniburger on Saint-Catherine W. The location is convenient, though, as with most spots along Saint-Catherine, parking can be a bit of a challenge. The menu is simple, which suited my expectations—I wasn’t looking for anything over-the-top, just a solid burger experience. However, the interior could really use some attention. With only three tables, you’d think upkeep would be straightforward, but one table hadn’t been cleaned and the walls had noticeable scuff marks. It gives off a “quick grab-and-go” vibe more than a spot to linger. On to the food: the burger and fries themselves didn’t disappoint. For a meal under $20, the quality is solid. The burger was juicy, with fresh toppings that added a nice crunch, and the fries were well-cooked. In summary, if I’m nearby and craving a burger, Uniburger will do the job nicely. But for me, it’s not quite at the level where I’d go out of my way for a repeat visit.
Cute small street restaurant! There is no much options so easy to choose! Simply design restaurants. Quiet and nice stuff. Everything is good! The favor also good enough. Just no ice for coke. Will back again!
The service is quick and friendly. The food is okay. The french fries were the best part of the meal as they were breaded but not overcooked.
Best cheese burger I’ve ever had in my life. To good juicy patty perfectly seasoned the cheese melted just right and the bun was fresh.
Loved the chicken burger; it is really delicious. Additionally, they have a fantastic special sauce. It stands out from other burger joints because of its unique burger buns. The food was brought fast and was incredibly yummy and fresh. The staff is quite polite and friendly.
Best burger in the city...100%
Yesterday I ordered 2 burgers at 3am and I got poisoned because of this food. I have severe diarrhea all day try to check the condiments please
Best burger ever!!!
Best burger in town!
The quality of the food, the taste, and the packaging are all very poor.
Great burger, friendly staff 10/10 highly recommend
One of the best classic smash burgers you can get in Mtl and for a decently good price as well.
The burgers are very good with a unique sauce at the restaurant. The fries are homemade, fresh and crispy. The poutine sauce is okay. Very good experience!
Yes it s affordable, but you do get what you paid for. The very small burger with fries, altho remarkably delicious, was not enough for a lunch
My friends took me to this burger joint, and because Im vegan, I worried that there wouldnt be anything for me. However, they recommended a vegan burger, which I assumed was just a regular burger, but the potato bun and that unique sauce enhanced the overall flavour of the burger. Food
The most delicious beef burgers in town, with one-of-a-kind potato buns.
The restaurant called Doordash to tell them to give me a $3.18 credit to deliver a poutine WITHOUT SAUCE (they called Doordash before I received my order). What do you think of a poutine without sauce for $8.88? Restaurant to avoid at all costs.
Food was really delicious but honestly the portions are tiny. 20$ for a burger you could probably finish in 2 bites and a poutine is a bit steep.
2nd time trying this place (tonight) and second time being dissapointment... Employee couldnt even smile, and the fries were cold. I would avoid this, and wont come again..18$ for a trio that is cold
The meat is dripping juices and the veggies are fresh and bun feels soft and portion of of fries are crazy it feels soo full and is totally worth the price and hype A MUST VISIT PLACE TO EAT A JUICY BURGERS!!!
Had an Awesome Crunchy Chicken Burger
Simple and effective burger!
One of the best burgers Ive had in Montreal, had the double burger Amazing. sorry IN n OUT burger (Calif.) But Uniburgre is just amazing. My new goto place for lunch. Friendly staff and clean. Food
Aside from having the best burgers (and fries) in Montreal, the owners are extremely friendly and kind. These burgers are simply brilliant in their simplicity - they evoke your best childhood memories of burgers. I have to exercise extreme discipline to limit visits to once a week!!
My burger was burnt, not enough sauce but had so much lettuce I felt healthy eating here.
The best place to go when you are looking for fresh and juicy burgers with fresh french fries, even their poutine is outstanding. Best hangout spots with friends and family.
Good burgers here.
The fries were good, the burger was normal, I vomited 50 minutes later, I dont know what was in them, I had a weird aftertaste
Best burger and French fries in a while.
Best burger ever.
Great fresh burgers and fries for a reasonable price, fast and efficient service.
Unfortunately not the best burger in Montreal, not practical to eat because the bread is not firm enough plus it drips a lot and the steaks are a little too big. Despite everything, the taste was good, the fries were good and the service was very friendly, the atmosphere was very calm.
Finally found the perfect burger! Food is very fresh too, the amount served is nice for the price. Highly recommend this place!
Very good fries, burger a little expensive especially given the size, but still very pleasant in the mouth
The burger are so good. Underrated place.
Staff are very friendly and the food was so fresh and delicious . definitely a go to spot for burgers Vegetarian options: Impossible burger
Best beef burger Ive ever had. delicious, juicy, and tender.
I recently visited this place for the first time and the experience was amazing . I tried both cheeseburger and chicken burger, both were delicious. The cheeseburger meat was tender, well-cooked and flavourful. The home made sauce complimented meats taste perfectly. I m not sure if I ever had this type of bread/bun before, they used special kind that really sparked my taste buds. Staff were very helpful, kind and walked me throughout my order with patience. Overall I highly recommend this place.
Juicy and Fresh Burger!
I love how perfect and tasty the burgers are. The sauce is incredible. The buns make it more flavourful. The staff here is too polite and sweet. Tried the impossible and the new crispy chicken burger in the menu they taste so good with the sauce and the toppings! Vegetarian options: Impossibile burger
Best burger and fries
Love their food! As usual, staff is nice and friendly.
This is one of the best cheeseburgers Ive ever had. It was my first time at this restaurant, and as a picky eater with certain food allergies, the person who took my order was very patient and customized it to my liking. The meat was juicy and well seasoned, and their sauces and fries were made in-house. I wish I could get the recipe for their sauce, which tasted perfect and amazing with the cheeseburger . Overall, my experience here was pleasant and left me with a happy tummy. This restaurant has been added to my list of favorites.
Burger was at the same time overly salted, but not seasoned at all. It was very tiny also. They tried to make a smashburger, but didnt do it properly, so the burger just ended up tasteless and greasy, which made the bun soggy. Vegetables on it were fresh and good, but the toppings were extremely overpriced. The milkshake was possibly the worst milkshake Ive ever had. McDonalds has better milkshakes tbh, and I hate McDonalds. Fries were at the same time bad, but good. They were well seasoned and fried twice, which should be expected, but they were super thin and tiny, about half the length and width of McDonalds fries. Everything was extremely overpriced, but I feel like I got the most ripped off by the milkshake. 6 dollars for basically hersheys syrup flavored milk with no thickness isnt worth it. You can make a better burger at home tbh: Throw some bacon into a pan, let it start to cook, and the fats come out of it, but dont clean the pan. Once the bacon is cooked, throw in some Red Peppers and Sauté the Red peppers in a pan with some oil and butter until theyre softened. Throw is some onions and add a pinch of sugar to caramelize the onion until its brownish translucent. Once all is cooked, take everything out of the pan and throw in the ground beef patty, preferably ground beef that is 70% lean, 30% fat. This will allow the beef to baste in the bacon juices and the leftover bits of grilled onion and pepper, imparting it with the past flavors. Be sure to generously salt and pepper the beef before it cooks, as salt draws out the liquidated greases and fats, giving the beef a really tender and flavorful taste as it bastes, then add your seasonings. I recommend a bit of cumin, smoked paprika, and a large but not too large amount of garlic powder. From there, smash the burger using a heavy object as much as you can, this will make the super yummy crispy edges of the beef, otherwise known as a Smashburger - it brings burgers to a next level. Once the beef is cooked, clean the pan and grab a brioche bun, put some butter in the pan and spread it, placing the buns face-down on the pan, allowing them to grill with the butter, it turns out really good. Once its done, assemble the burger with whatever toppings you want, but never forget a secret sauce - Typically a mix of Ketchup, Mayo, and Garlic Powder will work. Spread the sauce on the bun before adding everything else. Voila, you made a bomb burger that is way better then whatever this overpriced greasy mess known as Uniburger is made with, and I bet you its a fraction of the cost, most likely $11-$20 at the most for the total cost, and it will make about 2 burgers. This took forever to write, thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Do yourself a favor and stop wasting money on places like this, the price isnt worth it.
tried the chicken burger for the first time, sooo worth it Food
Amazing staffs and delicious food.
Best place for burgers
Loved chicken burger it s tastes soo good. It unique from other burgers which are available in other places. Overall 5/5.
Tastes great , you should try it
I was in Montreal for the weekend. Found this nice little burger joint in Saint Catherine street. Surprised by how good their burgers are. Their cheese burger is the best I have ever had. The patty is juicy and tender. I found out that unlike other burger joints they dont use any frozen meat. Also the burger buns tasted different and fantastic. Employees are patient and understanding to answer and explain any questions I have. Service is top notch. The only thing I wish is that this place is also there in Toronto.
The fries is my favourite!
One of the best chicken burger I had in a long time in affordable price. Loved it .
Cheeseburger Recommended.
One the best food spot in town. Fresh and juicy.
The atmosphere and ambiance was awesome !! Not to mention how good the food was and their customer service was top notch. I give them a 10/10 and I would recommend.
Not as good as the other uniburgers around the city. Burger was soggy.
This place is a really good spot! My group came in the day they opened, the staff was very nice, and it was honestly a relief to walk into an air conditioned place to escape the summer heat for a while! Since they had just opened, they didn t have their card readers yet so we had to pay with cash or e-transfer but the servers were really accommodating with the group. The food is also awesome, can go toe to toe with any other burger place.
Good place. Tasty food.
The burger I received was completely burnt. That s all I tasted from it.
Everything is awesome
I tried burgers of saint catherine s UNIBURGER branch for the first time after their new opening. It was just amazing and delicious. Specially the chicken burger was so crispy and perfect fried. In addition to it, their special uniburger with beaf pattie was also delicious. The pattie was perfectly cooked and the combination of their burger with their uniburger homemade sauce was fantastic.
Fresh and delicious. Also swathi was very kind to us. I recommend this place
Burgers, poutine and shakes are top notch. Fresh and tastes homemade.
The food is so delicious. The chicken burger was so crispy and yummy. The restaurant atmosphere was really good. I also tried the impossible burger and the vanilla milkshake. It was such a good vegetarian burger that I havent tasted anywhere else. The vanilla milkshake was thick and very tasty. Its a must try place for everyone. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Vegetarian options: You cant get more tastier beyond meat anywhere else. Kid-friendliness: The service was good and they made customization as it was asked for the kid
Fresh and tasty
Budget-friendly, pleasant spot to spend time with friends and family. The burger was cooked to perfection. The chicken burger, which is moist and delicious, is a must-try. Quick service
The Burger is ok and the fries too
Very friendly service.
Very good crispy chicken burger The poutine was also very good as were the fries and the cashier was very nice.
The burger was better than it was 7 years ago. Definitely giving points for improvement. I would put Uniburger in the same league as Five Guys. They are both reliable and consistent.
Bad landlord. RIP Nilufar :(
Great burgers; but 80$ for a family of 4.
Small portions, kinda expensive for fast food
Best spot to eat thanks swathi for the incredible service!
Too expensive for the size of the portions, fries are brown and soft I didn t like them. The burger was good but nothing special about it.
Dishonest advertising. On Uber Eats, this location offers a simple combo of a simple Uniburger, a poutine, a drink and a single milkshake for 26.99 CAD before tax, as a BUY ONE GET ONE. On their menu available on the website, a simple burger with a milkshake amounts to 13.99 + 3.5 = 17.49 CAD, again before tax. In other words, according to their Uber Eats valuation, they value the exact same combo at 54% more. This is not buy one, get one for free- this is buy two combos and well give you a free milkshake. If theyre willing to lie to you about their foods cost to prey on hungry people looking for a good deal, what else are they ready to do with your food? Avoid.
Best impossible burger! I can t believe is vegan
Walked around looking for a place to eat and found this gem. Great great burgers and service would definitely recommend and when in Montreal I Will come back.
Loved it. Excellent
expensive tiny food. No way in Hell this is the best burger in Canada. Maybe if your smoked a crack rock
Loved meeting our server who was from Ghana! We had to reorder because the burgers were so so good! The entire experience was epic! It was our first time here and it was great to discover a new halal place for burgers!
Loved it, the picture outside is misleading because the burguer in real life looks and taste way better
Good and fast service. The burger is a nope
Great service! Swathi was so sweet and kind exceptional service over all!!
Awesome vibes and great people, will come again.
Food was well made and fresh, place is clean and quiet, service was nice.
Easygoing burger chain with a small, simple menu. Service was good, food came out in an normal amount of time. Quality of the patty is above average, very soft buns selected as well. Its a truly enjoyable burger at a very friendly price point.
