Hyderabadi Adda -(Mandi & Biryani Co.) takes pride in bringing out the amazing textures and most refined authentic flavours of a wide variety of hyderabadi dishes in our Montreal city .
I recently placed an order with [hyderabadi adda ] and was disappointed with the service. Despite placing my order well in advance and being assured it would arrive within 45 minutes, it ended up taking an additional 15 minutes. While delays can happen, accurate communication about wait times is crucial, especially when customers rely on the given timing. Unfortunately, this experience has made me question the reliability of their service. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their delivery time and communication to ensure a better experience for future customers.
No other words than WOW!!!! AFTER LONG TIME I HAD GOOD EXPERIENCE. WELL DONE TEAM. I FORGOT THE FRONT LINE STAFF NAME. one waitress from India And from one waiter from Afghanistan. They were so helpful to settle down and explain about the menu.. overall great. And a real shake hands to the owner.you deserve 5 star ..
Delicious food. Kashmiri fish is super spicy, so order with caution lol chicken 65 and dum biryani 😋 would definitely go back to try other dishes. Got rasmalai, too. Didn't eat it yet.
I had the most disappointing experience today at this restaurant. I and my friends travelled all the way from Ontario just to have their biriyani. The server who was attending us had that most unpleasant attitude. All the dishes we asked for they had none. And the server kept throwing a bad attitude through out the time and it was so disappointing experience.
A bit expensive but the portions makes out for it and of course they are super tasty 😋😋😋 I got the Karvepaku Biriyani!
Very nice briyani in Montreal! A must try is their Dil Kush briyani, and specifically their paneer dil kush briyani. But do get an additional cup of yogurt (trust me you need it!) but you will love it. Their desserts are amazing as well. People are so nice and sweet. A very pleasant Indian restaurant with authentic and good spicy goodness!
I usually avoid this place but my wife likes it. Lately we have been buying appetizers and it’s been many times now that chicken is not fresh. They did serve good before but now it’s very bad. The meat is like hard wire getting stuck inside teeth. Avoid this place and try Shaaz Montreal in downtown, still a better option.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hyderabadi adda and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. My companions and I indulged in the Dilkush Mutton Biryani and the Chicken 65 Biryani, and we were blown away by the incredible flavors and generous portions. The regular size (single size ) was more than sufficient for two people, and the food was simply amazing. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were even treated to extra gravy, which was incredibly flavorful and complemented the biryanis perfectly. Words cannot fully express the sheer deliciousness of the food at Hyderabadi Adda. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone seeking an authentic and mouthwatering dining experience.
A decent place where Briyani is queen. It also serves Dum Briyani (please, google it!) hich will be my next dish. Food
Food quality day by day decreasing, it s been second time we experienced this. We have ordered Hyderabadi chicken curry, the texture looks spoiled and taste very bad and chicken is definitely not fresh.
The service was better than the food.too much spicy that no masala had flavor.
Excellent biryani just like the same in Hyderabad. Delicious food helpful staff, and brilliant service.
Vegetarian options: veg options as well Dietary restrictions: Halal options Food : 4/5 |
Price of food he has increased in the last three to four years like sky rocket. There is no balance between price and quantity back then price also cheap and quantity is good. Even after increasing price I was completely fine but they changed containers to reduce the quantity which was not at all acceptable. Now this place is not at all worthy. When I started to buy biryani use to be 9.99 now it s more than 15 dollars for biryami just between 2020 to 2024 :) our salaries didn t even increased that much fast.
Ordered Biriyani, Garlic Naan, Kadai Paneer and Karivepagu Baby Corn. Biriyani and Baby corn was good. Other items were below average. Took very looong time to deliver the food items.
Horrible. Hardly 3 pieces of paneer and they seem to have changed the quality of rice.
Totaly Rating: -5/5 I recently visited Hyderabadi Adda, and it was a very disappointing experience. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were made to wait nearly an hour before our food arrived. The delay was frustrating, and the food, when it finally came, was mediocre at best. With such long wait times and average food quality, I can t say I d recommend this place. Definitely expected better service.
I was excited to try your food, but unfortunately, the service was really slow. We waited a long time before even getting our drinks, and it took really long time for food to arrive. The delays really impacted our experience. I hope you will improve your service in the future because the menu looks promising!
Was excited to try food. But the kitchen staff did not pass along orders quickly. We waited 30mins to get even appetiser. Service is slow too , servers are not aware of portions of naan. It took 50mins to serve biryani. LOT OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT .
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Pretty sad the quality and taste of food has drastically deteriorated in just over a year. DO NOT order chicken 65 biryani- it s just plain white rice with gravy chicken. This is the 3rd consecutive time that the food has been absolutely disappointing. The dum biryani was beyond bland and hardly had any flavour. We will not be giving them any more business despite being their loyal customers since the last 3 years.
Portion are very good, food are average and environment must be improved.
Too much food colour in biryanis. 50% of chicken meat in biryani and starter looks fresh and 50% of them feels like we are eating leftover cooked chicken terribly hard to chew(almost like a chewing gum ) Food
Mutton NALLI biryani is the best here.
Spicy South Indian food, this is the place to go get a taste of that!
If you are going for veg biryanis. Do not go montreal have some other good places too because they Can t remember that customer order veg or no-veg biryanis. They just give whatever they want and don t respect customer choice and priority. In a month 3 times they give non veg biryanis instead of veg. This is not acceptable.
Me and my wife got food poison They are giving chicken undercooked thats too worst. Friday evening i went to buy the dum biryani. If you are cooking new handi please wait until it gets cooked dont run for money stupids.now we are suffering here. Its serious now i had to report on the quality and undercooked chicken.
Adda special biryani is a must try full of flavour
Best biryani in town!! I ve tried many biryani places before, but nothing compares to this place. However, the waitress who served me does not seem like she wants to serve me, and that happened at least 3 times I ve been there.
Its the best place to get the authentic taste of biryani, they just need to be more careful about their hygiene and food safety. But It seems they are now losing the taste, I went to get it, the taste was missing as it was way to spicy to handle.
WORST PLACE TO HAVE INDIAN FOOD Guys please dont order biryanis and starters here, the worst place to have food. They literally served us white rice with gravy as a biryani and dint even give us any refund. Its waste of money, giving a genuine review as i wont want others to have an experience like this.
Avoid this place if youre craving authentic Indian food, especially biryanis and starters. They served us plain white rice with gravy and called it biryani, which was beyond disappointing. On top of that, they refused to offer any refund. I m sharing this to save others from wasting their time and money here. Look elsewhere for a better experience!
We made a order through DoorDash , so I can t say how good/bad is the service etc, but the food itself was decent. Huge portion of Hyderabad Biryani and so tasteful chicken 65
Serving is very slow
The food was really good and the quantity was alot for the price. The staff was very friendly and the waiter seemed so kind. We enjoyed alot. Highly recommended
Its really sad to see how much the quality of food has gone down in the past years... ordered chicken biriyani and it was fairly bland, almost no spice (even tho I asked for very spicy 3 times). No fried onion, no herbs, very little taste.
One of the best Hyderabadi briyanis in Montreal. The quantity is great and tastes good.
Nalli biriyani is consistently great
Excellent food and service also very good
I love the Chicken dum Biryani with Chicken 65 i love it, this restaurant is decent.
Best Biryani in Montreal for sure! Only concern - reducing quantity and increasing price over last few years!
Putting more food colors pls avoid
Best chicken biryani I have ever had!
tried Biryani big portion nothing else
Chicken 65, Karuvepaku chicken, and chicken Hakka noodles were all full of flavour and delicious. Very disappointed that the Hakka Noodles seem to be no longer available.
The food was really good especially there family pack biryani!!!!! Butter chicken was also really good.
Amazing biryanis and totally worth the money!!! Absolute favourite place
I have been living in Montréal for almost 2 years. And i have tried biryani almost everywhere in Montréal and even some places in toronto. I can confidently say this place is the best restaurant for Biryani lovers. Amazing taste just like what i used to have in Delhi. A must go for all.
Only place in Montreal thats serves decent Indian food consistently. I am stressing consistency here because there are indeed a few other good places, but they are not always good.
They dont respect the time and service is very poor. The girl at cashier is not cooperative. I suggest you to try some other indian restaurant.
Disappointed to go here and extremely slow service . Food is not as good as expected . It was literally a bad experience.
Best biryani in Montreal .
Good biryani
Must try Dilkush biryani, Amazing for 2
Got to order Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Noodles one is salty and the other is Tasteless. Waited for more than 1 hour. Not at all worth the wait and price. Food
Parking: Tough to find an easy parking. Food
I ordered vegetarian biryani that usually comes in good quantity of veggies and rice, but I received plain rice in very less quantity and with very few veggies. Chicken biryani we ordered was all rice and just 1 small piece of chicken. In short, really bad experience!
Excellent taste & portion
I ordered the Adda Special Chicken Biryani, and the taste is not good at all. Surprisingly, there were only two small pieces of chicken in the regular-sized portion.
Awful food. Ordered from Uber Eats and was extremely bland, tasteless and poorly prepared. Straight to the dustbin. Waste of money.
perfect Hyderabadi biryani
The chicken biryani is so tasty. Just I hope that you increase the chicken quantity
The atmosphere and service are pleasant, but the food is not exceptional.Regular Biryani Kurma soup made with Tandhri Chicken (Hybrid Chicken Leg Peace) is no longer made.
I changed my mind because they fixed toilet. Now deserving 5 stars.
The food is good But the lounge and and front desk is not clean at all + the waiting time is long and staff could be more friendly
Good
Come with an appetite as the portions are generous! Communicate the required spice level clearly for the best experience.
This is good place for take out and authentic Andra style Biryani. Sometimes taste might change due to different chefs. Good quantities for the price it s more spicy food compared to other Indian restaurants in Montreal. The spice level is equal Andra restaurants in India .
They do not provide spoons or forks for take outs.
The best biryani Ive ever tried in Montreal
The Chicken Dilkhush Biryani is an all-time favourite. Paired with the Karvepaku Chicken as a starter, this is bliss !
Service was a bit late but the food was nice dilkash biryani (llyan iykyk)
Dilkush mutton biryani and chicken dumplings biryani are must try.
Butter chicken is very bad. Chicken was very dry with chewy hard ligament bits. The sauce watery, and tasted like à mix of ketchup and hot sauce. Where is the creamy buttery taste? Food : 1/5 |
Service time is very bad, takes very long time.
I take take out from here almost every week. Best biryani in montreal area
Worst biriyani ever, period. I ordered paneer 65 biriyani while my friend ordered chicken dum biriyani. Although both of them cost the same, the difference in the quantity is huge ( I got half of what my friend got). The rice was bland and tasteless. For the paneer 65 part, it was undercooked paneer in curry masala. It tasted terrible. I would suggest to keep your expectations at the lowest when visiting this restaurant.
CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I had ordered bunch of items. The paneer 65 was not good. The amount of gravy they gave on the side was very less. On top of everything, they forgot to give us the chicken item. I had guests over, and it was so embarrassing for me. I wish, I had ordered from somewhere else.
It was a take away for us and surprisingly the order was ready in less than 5 minutes! but after reaching home we realized that it was not the same biryani that we order please stop doing this if original order wasn t picked up then don t give it to someone else to save some bucks. this is not the first time when we order dilkush biryani.
Chicken dum biryani not like before
Worst Biriyani I had in my life. In what world when you order Chicken 65 biriyani and gets something with rice and gravy sauce filled with just onion and 3 piece chicken? From the moment I sat down it was really uncomfortable. The menu was sticky and so was the table. Hygiene level is very bad. Never going back here again.
Baby Corn Manchurian is their best.... Biryanis can be better
Really delicious biryani with generous portions, highly recommend the lamb shank. When they say spicy they really mean it which is amazing, definitely not white people spicy. Already looking forward to my next meal here!
They had a good quantity before, now they have reduced. So sad to see it. Even if we order prior and get a pick up time. They will delay for another 30 mins in store.I dont understand the logic of giving a timing then!! Food : 3/5
I ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for the past five years, and it never disappoints! The biryani and chicken 65 are absolute must-tries; I highly recommend the dumpster biryani for its authentic flavors. This place has consistently been one of the top biryani spots on the island of Montreal. Great food, friendly staff, and an overall fantastic dining experience!
Everytime like every friday i do dinner and i love there food best food in town
Great service. Good people. Definitely recommend it for their Chicken 65
The best Karvepaku biriyani and the appetizer in Montreal. Nothing can beat this combo. I can eat this biriyani and chicken everyday.
These guys are really rude and they gave us chicken 65 biryani instead of paneer 65.The guy for which I ordered it is completely vegetarian and ate one piece due to their mistake and they were not even sorry , told me that even if we gave you chicken biryani by mistake , you would have been able to differentiate easily .Pathetic Customer service .
go before 9pm for chicken dum byriani!!!
One of the worst Indian restaurant in Montreal. Very Poor service. They can t even care about customers. Food
Very spicy biryani Authentic taste of biryani was hidden behind heat of peppers Can taste the real flavor Just my opinion Food : 3/5 |
I love their biriyani and service but i dont like the quality of their water and glass. Water quality is really bad , it smells bad and the glasses they have the steel one, sometimes it don t even clean. Please do something with water, Thanks.
One of best place in Montreal if you are craving for cheap and delicious biryani. If you are picking up or eating at restaurants We have ordered karvepaku chicken biryani as well Panner biryani. And quantity is great for $13. But warning!! It s not worthy to order from Uber as price is super high !!! Staff is friendly. Must try biryani but try to do pick up.
i visited this place first time. i ordered to hyderabad dum biryani and Hyderabadi adda briyani. but hyderabadi adda chicken its was delicious.and also i.bought ladoo which was good, but the size was a little small.
Hi my name is Harshil! I have been regular customer of the restaurant since last 1.5 years ! At 8:01pm on 25 dec i placed on order for pick up they told me it will take 45 mins i considering it to be busy bcuz of Christmas! I went there at 9:00 after waiting for another 15 mins she told me sir the naan in your order is out of stock ! They didnt even try to compensate! Being a regular customer it hurts ! Otherwise its a good restaurant! If i get compensated ill post the review later on ! Thank you
Having to serve a barely good enough biryani just because of increased customer foot fall will eventually lead to less people appreciating and visiting. My veg biryani felt more like having white rice with Paneer Sabzi. I so badly wanted to like it given the good reviews. But that wasn t my case sadly.
I came to this restaurant Monday December 25 evening with 2 of my friends from Ottawa city. Wanted to dine in in a decent atmosphere with good authentic Indian cuisine so we decided to come here. As it was planned everything was going well from food to restaurant atmosphere one little disturbance that occurred to us during our visit was the cashier/waiter s (Mr. Sabawoon) behaviour with us was professional and simply hospitable.
Worst Biryani actually worst restaurant.
Visited this as someone referred me to try it out. Disappointed in the quality and taste of the paneer biryani and baby corn 65. The paneer biryani had 6 tiny pieces and thats it. Rest was just rice. The washrooms are dirty and the ambiance is poor.
Worst experience every time we order through doordash/uber. We have been going frequently to the restaurant but not anymore. This is the second time am getting food poisoning after having their chicken. Looks like the chicken prepared for dine in is different then the chicken ordered for delivery. Both the time we ordered we received chicken that was spoiled, not going to order or visit hyderbadi adda anymore.
Lot of waiting, taste is not good
Honestly, I am really disappointed with the management here. We went to have food around 8:20PM here and we have been told that the dine-in will be closed by 9PM, but everywhere it is officially mentioned that the restaurant closes at 10PM. There was only one cashier and it took us so long atleast to talk to the cashier. There were only 6 to 7 tables in the whole restaurant and a lot of customers. Finally, we took a take away and the waiting time was 35min for 2 biryanis. This is not the kind of service I expect. The food was not that great too.
Good food and very big quantities. Best rapport of price and quality. but beware of spicy levels. Normal spicy was very spicy for me and I am Indian, and used to eat so be careful.
This is one of the best indian hyderbad restaurent to visit any time of the year. Food quality is top notch and their is no compromise on the quantity as well. Price are reasonable. I visit almost 2 to 3 times a month and never faced any issues. Friendly front desk and people who serve food. If you are in the area dont forget to visit the place. Its worth your time and appetite
Please check your biryani before leaving. They missed giving chicken in my biryani and when I went back they treated as if I came back for extra chicken .. I am not give bad rating just because I reallly like their biryani.
The briani is very tasty, the only one inconvenience is that even though you ask for not spicy, it is still very spicy for non Indian customers. We love this place but would kindly ask the owner/chef if they can have an option for non Indian customers. Would really appreciate Thanks Food
Best biryani u can buy here
For the amount I am paying, I think I deserve a bit more you know,
Karuvepaku Chicken is worth trying Dum Briyani was good Chicken 65 briyanis rice lacked flavour. Food : 4/5
One of the best biryani in Montreal. Vegetarian options: Paneer 65 biryani.
I am utterly furious about my recent experience at this restaurant. As a long-term customer, Ive witnessed a shocking decline in quality and an outrageous increase in prices. Lets get to the heart of the matter - the biryani I ordered had zero masala in it. It was a bland, tasteless pile of plain rice, and the chicken was practically raw. Not only did they serve me an abysmal dish, but theyve also hiked up the price by over $10, all while cutting the portion size in half over the years. Its a blatant money-grabbing tactic that shows complete disrespect for loyal patrons. What infuriates me even more is that when I tried addressing these issues with the management previously, they brushed it off like it was nothing. Their disregard for customer satisfaction is absolutely appalling. Ive been a loyal customer for years, but enough is enough. I will NEVER set foot in this restaurant again, and I wouldnt wish this experience on my worst enemy. This place has lost all credibility and respect.
Biryani bund paad c
Absolutely worth it! Bang for buck. Tried chicken dum biryani and karvepaaku chicken biryani. Loved them both.
All time favourite spot for biryani. Chicken Dum biryani and Karvepaku chicken biryani are best
Great place to have an Indian Hyderabadi biryani. Good service as well.
Best South Indian (Telugu style) flavoured, spiced biryani. Always stop by here on my way through Montreal.
Its not biriyani. Plain rice and boiled chickens. Such a scam cost me a lot money
Food is tasty and affordable. For 12-15$ you can have enough biriyani for a day.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. When we called for pickup, they had everything and when we called again in 2 minutes, they were out of specifically what we needed as they wanted to go home early. The staff seemed uninterested in attending to our needs. The food we were ordering for pickup was an hour before their closing time and they denied accepting the order reasoning weather for their lack in stock.
We ordered food at 10 pm but they didnt take my order ! They were rude and we friends discuss to order food from their restaurant because it was our favourite. But now they are not ready to take our order ! Closing time is 11 pm and we ordered at 10 pm then also they were not supportive to take our order. We specially told them we are coming from laval to pickup our food but they disagree and told us that we will not prepare your food as it is already 10 pm but actually restaurant closes at 11 pm so i am really frustated on them and they also argued of not preparing our order. They told me yes they will prepare and exactly after 2 mins they told they will not. Very disappointment. We told them to order naan and sabji but they are not ready to prepare it before 1 hr of closing time. 1 week before we ordered at 10 30 pm and then we had pickup at 11 pm but now today they are not ready to prepare our order at 10 pm
The employees are very rude and the service is very bad. As we order food at 10pm for Naan and 2 sabji with one starter but they denied for the pick up. We called twice for the order and in first call the representative said yes uh can conform you order in just 5 min and we call in 2 min to conform but in the second call they said no they cant accept order thought their closing time was 11pm and I called at 10pm still they cant make it. And the representative was very rude and arrogant. It seems they dont want to work. We even pleased them for just one Naan but they were like no sorry we cant. Its was very disappointing and I will never prefer anyone for this place.
The only biryani I eat in Montreal - Karvepaku Chicken Biryani!!
Didn t like the food much especially their biryani was too spicy! Chilen curry and butter naan was OK. Can t call their food authentic Indian food.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available
Delicious biryani, huge portions at a cheap price
OOP s there is no zero rating. We called after received the order for pick up. Once we get home there is no raita and have been wait one hour extra for pick up. And called for raita they said do whatever you want . Do not go to this place. Sucks ..
We did not received desired order!! And after receiving our order we told them our problem and they told us Do whatever you want VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! Zero customer interaction!!! We were waiting over 30 minutes for our order and they gave us half of the order without satisfied ingriends!!! Avoid this restaurant if you are willing to give treat to anyone!!! Zero Zero customer satisfcation!!
Amazing Spice levels and great quantity. Had the Dilkhush Chicken Biryani with Kashmiri Chicken Chilli. Worth every penny!
There was hair in food.. and when we complained first they were not accepting that it was their mistake. Then after some time they said we will charge you half.. but they charged us almost the full amount.. took 3 dollars extra too.. not a good place to visit. I will not recommend visiting this place because they don t accept their mistakes easily and say we are just the staff. Do not get overwhelmed with the cleanliness around the place but make sure your food is clean Reply- OMG.. you have the audacity to just be so rude even after the complain despite apologizing about it.. Now, when everything is (recorded) according to you i need the clip you saw me plucking my own hair and putting it inside the biryani and I assure you that I pay you 10 times the amount of your regular biryani costs. As you said you have some mandatory rules of wearing hair net whereas I saw so many people coming back and forth from the kitchen who were not wearing hair net. And if you saw the recording of us standing outside and discussing the review, i think you don t have the Pr skills to make the customer happy. You should have called us and asked us the problem. Moreover we did not expect the refund from you we were about to pay the amount and leave but the girl insisted us that we wait and let her do something. And obviously we will ask for the money if she charged us more.
I m a regular customer at Hyderabadi Adda for almost 1 year,So to begin with I have ordered chicken dum biriyani with double masala and karvepaku chicken(Extra spicy), and I m very much disappointed by the way food was made, when I ve ordered double masala, all I got is rice almost dry with no masala, same goes with karvepaku chicken didn t taste the way it used to be, I m very much disappointed with this experience, this is the second time this has happened
Nalli Biryani was taste...however its not authentic Hyderabadi biryani. 65 Biryani was amazing, and I feel the restaurant has modified the recipe. One thing, curry leaves are literally in everything. I would rate 9.5/10. All the best, and try to introduce authentic Hyderabadi food.
Best Place For biryani in Montreal with Variety of Biryanis to Choose . Its a must visit place for biryani lovers
Best in the business
I ate only paneer Manchurian not at all good its worst taste I feel not to visit next time
If you want spicy birynai then you must try Karivupakku biryani.
Worst food ever. We even complained about how sour the food was. There was no action taken at all.
Good, just eat there if you are indian, nothing more. For ppl other than an Indian, it will be a new experience. They provide what you spend your money on. WORTH IT.
The best Biriyani in town. If you are a South Indian guy and you do know what Hyderabadi Biriyani stands for. This is for you. Best value for taste and money.
Food was no doubt very tasty, but the washroom area, hand wash area was stinking horribly! I was shocked at the poor maintenance of this place. I think the owner should take care of all this.
Dum Biryani is good if you like spicy. Taste is consistent.
