Discover the vibrant flavors of India at Plateau Cuisine Indienne in Plateau Mont-Royal. Enjoy a diverse menu of aromatic curries, tandoori delights, and traditional Indian dishes made with fresh, authentic ingredients.
we ordered through their website directly for pickup, feeling it would be better for them than a third party delivery service - it did not stop the man from aggressively yelling at me when we picked up, telling me to call them to order next time because it charges them 30%. we were very clearly english speakers, and i’m not confident their receptionist would have been able to take our order if we tried! the food itself was fine quality, we have had worse - until my partner ended up becoming extremely ill a few bites into his meal. they didn’t include 2 naan we ordered which is only a positive because there was less food for us to waste when we didn’t want to finish it.
A fine authentic Indian eatery in tune with the Montreal lifestyle. Located on the Plateau near Park LaFontaine, the restaurant offers the usual dishes like buttered chicken and lamb biriyani. The restaurant has a small dining area if pressed, but mostly, it's a take out joint. I ordered samosas to go and was quite happy with the flavour and heat level. The accompanying sauce was perfect. If you are vegetarian or a first timer, try the Thali plate -- always a safe bet! Prices and service are top notch. The eatery has a small waiting area. Worth checking out for newbies and seasoned Indian food eaters. Come on foot or be prepared to park up to a kilometer away!
We had the vegetarian meal for two plus an order of MANGO chicken. Everything was delicious and we had enough leftovers to stuff a teenager! The included dessert provided the perfect final flavor. The only water available is bottled. *Update: still delicious and made fresh.
The guy at the reception recommended us these 2 subji as they were their specials, and it was the worst subji we ever had. The dark color one is supposed to be saag paneer. It was gross. My entirely family could not eat a single bite. Naan were undercooked. Samosa's were too oily and old. 60$ wasted.
Perfect! Blown away. This place is everything I could ever ask - an authentic Indian take out location open late 7 days a week, near the PARK. The service was so fun, and the cooking was outstanding to watch. What a well run, clean kitchen! Can’t wait to come back and try EVERY SINGLE DISH this summer! Should easily be rated one of Montreal’s best Indian restaurants- hidden gem. Wish we had come months ago!
Had an amazing experience at this place. Great place to dine or take out if you are looking for Indian food in Montreal. You would be eating at a restaurant but still feel like dining at home, the food is authentic and original flavoured. Service was amazing, price is totally worth for the quality and quantity both. If you are not familiar with traditional spice levels of Indian food,it can be really spicy for you but don’t hesitate to let the server know, they will adjust the spice level accordingly. Saag paneer was so delicious which was served with hot naan from tandoor. Chicken biryani was delicious, with a great number of boneless chicken in it, served with raita and salad on the side. If you are Indian you know the feeling of “Maaza” try it out! They have a small unit so sitting area is small and limited to two tables but that shouldn’t stop you from eating or taking out from this place. Rukon is a hardworking individual running this little place in the heart of Montreal for about 25 years. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Definitely recommend this place. :) :) Don’t judge the book by its cover, try it and experience the beauty of Indian cuisine here.
Don't let that very discreet looking façade fools you! It's an amazing place to enjoy Indian food at very good price. The owner and his helper were welcoming and didn't hesitate to recommend us the best dish they have ( and he didn't lie ) . The mango lassis were delicious and since we were looking to get spicy food, we didn't regret! The taste and the spice level were mixing very well for our taste. I'd definitely recommend this lovely place as well as the Combo AA.
One of my favourite spots for Indian food in Montreal. The food is super fresh and cooked on the spot. The owner is super friendly too and loves to make sure his customers are well taken care of. Everything I’ve ordered from here is always super delicious. Would definitely keep going back and highly recommend for those who haven’t tried yet.
Great little neighborhood restaurant, very affordable and tasty, I recommend!
Spent and mediocre
I ve found the food at this Indian restaurant in Montreal to be both delicious and reasonably priced. However, Ive noticed some inconsistency in the flavors of the same dish sometimes it s excellent, while other times it falls short. The portions are generous.
The briyani was very good but the tikka masala was too sweet. The lassi is thick and impossible to drink because it is a yogurt
I like their dishes it s delicious
Delicious food
WORST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Me and my husband went to this restaurant on the night of September 18th for our last meal in Montreal before our trip finished. Worst decision everrrrrr!! Lack of hygiene was shockinggggg!!!! I called prior to coming since it was close to their closing time. The moment I walked in I was a little taken aback as this place barely had any tables where people could eat and whatever tables they had were full since the whole staff was eating there. They asked us to wait because of that which was fine no big deal. When we sat at our table I was shocked to see they didn t even bother to wipe the damn table. The menu on the table had 4-5 rice on it little crumbs of food all over the table. We wanted to order lamb curry and 3 tandoori roti. The guy who took our order (seemed like he owned the place idek) said we have to order 4 to which we said okay since we were very hungry. He also suggested we try out their Chicken Rolls and said it is very popular among their customers. We got mango lassi before our food which tasted very sour and at this point we could kinda feel that this place just wasnt it and that we have been MASSIVELY deceived. The lamb curry gave me and my husband a heart burn I didn t even touch the lamb just had my roti with curry. And the roti oh my daysssss. The roti fam was from effin walmart. Jeez! Be for real please. I asked for tandoori roti they gave me this stiff ready made walmart roti which they just warmed up on the tawa. That made me wonder if they even have a tandoor???? I was shook at the audacity of this restaurant. Calling walmart tawa roti, a tandoori roti I consider it a CRIME fam. At this point I didn t even wanna have their very popular chicken rolls. Husband and I took a bite out of it and left it as it is. We literally just tasted everything and paid for it and left. Please do not choose take your partner here ever. My husband was literally giving me a side eye the whole night cuz this was supposed to be our nice last meal before we ended our trip and it just ruined everything. I am absolutely DISGUSTED.

Superb culinary experience, top service and delicious dishes, I recommend!
Very good and very tasty
Excellent cuisine with very good value for money. The only downside: impossible to receive service in French. Damage.
This restaurant is a scam. To flee, what we did after eating the starter
Best butter chicken and chicken in the world must try

Excellent takeaway restaurant The cuisine, already good from the start, continues to improve I highly recommend, especially the butter chicken but also all the other dishes!

Food was very yummy. I recommend this restaurant and their place was very calm and quiet.
Not only did I ask for the vegetarian combo, but I specifically ordered the paneer tikka masala out of the list of vegetarian dish options. After taking a couple bites, turned out to be chicken. If the atmosphere was nice enough to dine in perhaps I could ve sent it back to the kitchen or given it to someone else, but no, now it s just me and a major foul. I guess I shouldn t be surprised that losing a commitment of almost 10 years would burn going down.
I really enjoy the food and the very professional service and we plusbhalla Good luck

Loved the butter chicken and garlic naan. Rukon bhai was amazing.
Best Indian food in Montreal
Phew, greasy and burnt bagi onions, weird butter chicken, greasy naan bread all ended up in the compost. Big disappointment, avoid!
Good kitche
Good service, incredible food!!!
I live nearby and Im 100% sure that the reviews are fake because even before opening they already had 5 star reviews... lol Expensive for what it is ultimately not great so really dont recommend
Good
Delicious halal food
Very bad food. Tandoori chicken, the biriyani, especially the chicken noodles was so bad. Wonder how it got a 4 star review. The cheese naan was okay. Maybe they are good with other dishes

The best Chicken butter in the city !
The food in this place is the best I tasted in the area. I tried different dishes, and they all were great.

Unfortunately I have to change my rating, the quality has dropped a lot recently. Notably, we recently ordered a tandoori paneer which was really sad to see and had obviously never seen a tandoor. Its still a nice place for the prices, but the quality has declined over the past year.
The reviews are fake. Impossible that this place has more than 1000 reviews, and whats more, all 5 stars. Avoid!
This is not authentic Indian food. Indian authentic food means pure best vegetarian food.
Nothing
Amazing place Parking: Side of the road Food : 5/5 |

Good but a little expensive. The quantity of rice was minimal. The waiter does not come to the tables. And no free water. Otherwise the food was really good!
Sweet n homey
Great food, and not much sitting space. The photos were a bit misleading because there isnt really much for dining in. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb curry though, the staff were friendly and attentive, and Ill likely come back... or order out, I guess.
Very friendly service. Smells amazing right as you walk in. Food is very authentic. Prices are also decent for a restaurant located on the plateau.
very good service
Very bad service, food is also not good, no one even talks nicely.
Friendly, Halal, open and clean kitchen, tasty food, good portions and fair prices.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! The reviews of this place have to be fake. The worst Indian Food Ive ever had. Food was overly sugary, without flavor or taste. Naan bread was tough and terrible. Their reviews have to be farmed / faked.
We had a disappointing and disrespectful experience with the customer service. Despite our excitement for our first night in the city, the receptionists unprofessionalism tainted our visit. Being fully aware of any extra charges, (as we are all aware of), we inquired about the possibility to substitute regular samosa for chana samosa in a veg combo. Instead of addressing our request with understanding as a professional, he rudely, boldly and arrogantly said did you see the price of the chana samosa? It s 8 We were stunned and told him that we were just inquiring, and he kept commenting on the price of the Chana samosa. We felt very disrespected as we were ready to pay any extra.
Great restaurants very recommended
I ordered shrimp korma. The shrimp was over cooked - very tough and the sauce was average. I am very disappointed in the quality of their food in general

Its totally rip off . We ordered lamb curry butter chicken and shrimp curry. Their menu is very deceptive real portion is very small not as described in menu. Its not fresh enough. We ordered 2 Naan bread Its not hand made Its from supermarket. We also order 2 water and 2 softdrink. Soft drink is almost 5 dollars for one. Totally bill comes 107 . We order chicken birani rice it didnt even come . Guys trying to charge us without let us to see the receipt later we found biryani rice is included on there however it didnt even bring it. We ask Guys to take off that items. Be careful, its scam . Make sure you see the receipt before pay anything
Vegetarian options: Really delicious Food
Loved the place and food is awesome.Must try in montreal . Moreover, staff is so nice felt like home.
love the food here !
Completely messed up the order. Made ultra spicy food for old ladies when we asked specifically for it to be mild. Was extremely rude when we called to complain. I ve never been talked to in such a condescending manner. Outrageous.
Went to the restaurant yesterday in Montreal after seeing all the highly praising reviews and ratings. Realized that all them were fake after having the food. This was our order: Butter chicken Butter naan Veg fried rice Veg noodles Veg Manchurian 4 soft drinks ( limca and thumbs up) All food except Veg noodles and Manchurian were of very low quality. Limca that we ordered tasted weird. The restaurant did not have an Indian touch at all including food and environment. Just an advise : Just run if youre near the restaurant and dont go even near the restaurant.
It was a very good experience. Chef makes excellent food.
The service and food is very bad so cheap and prefer to you all that never go to this restaurant the butter chicken is very bad not tasty pls never go to these restaurants the staff is so rude they dont know how to behave with customer I give 0 star to them

Nice food, nice service, friendly staff and cheap price.
Best of all time
super good, best Indian restaurant in Montreal
Very good food, they are very friendly too. Recommend it 100%
Disgusting food. DO NOT GO THERE. The rating are 100% fake. I had bad stomach pain, I had to go to the bathroon at the store in front because it was too gross inside. I think i saw a cucaracha!!!!!!
I wish I could give a zero star, but I guess I can t. But that s what it s worth. Showed up for opening and the guy there who didn t speak English or French said to come back an hour later, somehow. Showed up an hour later and he said he only had butter chicken on the menu. Would have been nice to tell us that nothing else was available. We wanted to leave and that man said his chef was on his way and was gonna be there in 15 mins. We sat and waited, not sure why either. After eating lower than average samosas, we were given nasty Campbell tomato soup and cream and they called it butter chicken. I m white and I could just see it was the most bland thing I d ever eat. It was.. Horrible. We ordered garlic naan bread which showed up 20 mins after we received our dishes. Once the naan was in the table, we tried it just to see what it would taste like. I bet they missed a couple ingredients because the cardboard in the recycle bin was probably less dry. Disgusting. We left and the total came to a hundred dollars and I ve never felt more robbed in my life. Go see for yourself, and look at the vents, fans and around the restaurant there s mountains of nasty dust and mold. STAY THE F AWAY!

This is not an Indian restaurant. Almost every dish has same gravy including the mixed vegetable. Salad was served with an orange sauce spread on top although Indian salad is served without any sauce or dressing.
The restaurants ambiance is a blend of modern elegance and traditional Indian charm, making it suitable for both casual outings and special occasions. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with menu selections or provide insights into the dishes. When it comes to the food, Plateau Cuisine truly shines. Their menu boasts a wide variety of dishes from various regions of India, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Whether youre a fan of North Indian classics like butter chicken and naan or prefer the fiery flavors of South Indian cuisine, youll find something to tantalize your taste buds. Overall, Plateau Cuisine offers an exceptional dining experience for those seeking a taste of Indias culinary diversity. Its a place where you can savor the true essence of Indian cuisine, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts and anyone looking for a memorable gastronomic journey.
Amazing restuarant with chill vibes and friendly staff. Also, Halal :).
An ideal place to eat especially with friends and family. It has become my favourite place to go to whenever I think about eating out whether food or experience.Must try if you are going to eat somewhere.
Ordered from here 3 times now and they have yet to disappoint. My go to is the lamb vindaloo with some garlic naan. The taste is great and the portions make for nice leftovers. I ve also tried the beef vindaloo once which was a little spicier and also great tasting.
Weve been ordering from here almost every two weeks, we love the food, great customer service as well, one of our favourite Indian restaurant around plateau !!
Absolutely amazing he cooks so well !!!!!!! :)))))))
overall the food, sauce drinks samosas naan is perfectly well done. as someone who eats allot of indian food this is really my new favorite
I love this place! The food is perfect and the owners were generous.

One of the best indian food I have ever eaten.
Amazing Pricing, amazing foodd!!!
Dirty wastage of money . Food smells like garbage
nice cuisine
Small place , mostly to take out. Delicious food though!
DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FAKE REVIEWS LIKE MEE!! . I don t know how he managed to get these reviews. Seems like most of them are fake! I came to montreal for visit and was craving for some indian desi foods. Their food is the Worst food I have ever tried.I got my life s worst food poisoning. I ordered a tandoori platter which no where tastes like a tandoori. Seems like the chicken was fried in ketchup and had a really bad smell. I couldn t finish the food. I am a south asian. And TRUST ME, IT S GARBAGE! DON T WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE!
I like the restaurant. Plus the food is halal.
Such amazing service and amazing food. I would truly recommend!!!
Got takeout here on Thanksgiving because not much was open and its right by our Airbnb - and totally loved it. Everything was delicious, if we were local it would be a repeat hit.

Best Indian restaurant in Montreal best food and reasonable price
Worst butter chicken of my life!! Its just tomato sauce and very poor quality naan. Truly worst I have ever tasted. Dont loose your money and time there because there is nothing indian about. PURE SCAM
Such an amazing restaurant and good food. Best food and their behaviour.
Great food, nice staff, good portions
The worst Indian restaurant Ive had in my life!! The Google rating of 4.7 is fake and full of fake reviews!! I should have read the reviews better and looked at the worst ones (the only real ones)! Butter chicken with tomato soup or even ketchup probably. We see an open jar of ketchup in the kitchen, which Indian restaurant puts ketchup in these sauces???!!! Flee urgently and dont be fooled like me!! Ill save you $35 per person and a terrible meal, dont thank me.
Briyani & butternoon paneer tikka masala was very good once I went this place the food was very very nice now I am going daily for those items if any one want to you go to this place once you can try it was good restaurant , I am become a big customer of this restaurant
Good food M, nice person
Great Indian food.
For my first time I chose Uber. And I enjoyed it! Its an unpretentious family Indian cuisine that really has flavor and thats rare. In any case, I would recommend or even go there because it was really good...on the tandoori meats.
So slow
Good service
Such a amazing service and wonderful experience by eating fresh food
I have try Indian food all over Montreal but this is one of the best authentic Indian food I have ever try. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food!
Im not used to eating Indian food, but of the times Ive tried it, this is the best! Very good portions for a reasonable price! I highly recommend.
I ordered the Indian prantha from this restaurant via UberEats, and I received uncooked food. The quality was disappointingly cheap and not worth the $6 price tag. Its a shame I cant give a zero-star rating. The experience was unsatisfactory, and I wouldnt recommend ordering from here.
