What a lovely Indian family owned restaurant. Beautiful deco, friendly and accommodating employees and wide menu. Every dish was delicious, flavourful, fresh and well balanced in textures. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. The potato and pea Samosas are fantastic. They re massive and paired with the homemade sweet tamarin sauce, it s a delightful pairing. The butter chicken, chicken 65 and paneer lababdar were great as well. The naans are soft, chewy and perfectly cooked. Will definitely come back. Just visited this restaurant, the disgusting customer service have ever received. The guy was there but came literally after we called him. Y ll really need to improve that. Will not suggest anyone to visit.

Extremely disappointing. We found the dishes diluted and bland. Chana masala with very little chickpeas. Liquid yellow dahl like soup stock. Eggplant that tastes nothing. Naan bread that looks like reheated pita bread In the microwave. Flavorless biryani.

I m not really into Indian food, but suddenly had a craving: GREAT choice, the curry lamb was tender and extremely tasty with the fresh aloo parantha. The vege fried rice was also very tasty.

Worst experience thus far in Canada. I was here with my larger family and travelling for vacation today on 1st Sep 2024. Not much food choice, no proper service, complete chaos, mismanagement. Would not recommend anyone true Indian to be here for sure.

We ordered the butter chicken to take away, which was good nothing more, with a pulao rice which my son liked then some dry, thin naan bread which was not good at all, it looked like pita bread. The portions are really small. Unfortunately, it wasnt a great dinner. THANKS

I recently had dinner at True India in Montreal, and it was a fantastic experience. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The menu has a great selection of dishes, from mild to spicy, so there s something for everyone. We started with samosas and paneer tikka, which were both delicious and full of flavor. For the main course, we had butter chicken and lamb biryani, paired with garlic naan and basmati rice. Every dish was spot on rich, aromatic, and really tasty. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was super attentive and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the dishes and suggest options based on our tastes. The staff made sure our water glasses were always full and that each course arrived at just the right time. We ended our meal with gulab jamun and mango kulfi for dessert, which were the perfect sweet treats to wrap up an amazing dinner. Best Indian food in Montreal, Must try Garlic Naan and Karahi Chicken

Stopped in to pick up samosas two weeks ago on a whim for a craving, which lead to returning to pick up a full meal tonight. The food was so flavourful and the portions were almost too much for two people. Highly recommend the chaat samosa dish which has so much depth but was so light, and the onion bahjis were perfectly balanced in flavour and texture. Loved the Chana masala too. They were short of many items still we co-operate with them. We have ordered 2 dishes i.e. chicken tikka and paneer tikka, after 30 minutes they brought 1 dish as they were facing some problem in making paneer tikka, thus we cancelled it and my boyfriend has to wait for 15 more minutes for another dish, our mood got spoiled as we were famished. Then we have ordered 2 wraps to take out. I specially requested them to add salad with it they said no problem but I did not found anything inside it. On the other hand without our concern they change the naan with parantha which was tasteless.

I availed the services of Tru-India restaurant in 2022. I mostly ordered spiceless peas pulao. The food was reasonably priced and of very good quality. Amit the owner and his nephew Devansh were very good hosts. The ambience of the restaurant was great. Amit wouldnt mind if I stayed a few minutes more for watching soccer or tennis match highlights !! Dietary restrictions: I had dietary restrictions. They would always make the food without spices.
