Montreal's original and top rated Japanese izakaya restaurant. Serving the authentic ramen with homemade noodles and delicious tapas. Known for their warm, lively atmosphere and good times, Imadake is perfect for groups. Reservations recommended. Reserve now Online, Groups over 8 people please call.
The veggie ramen was completely tasteless and I didn't have a good experience. They also brought us an opened bottle, which we got upset about it. At first they refused that the bottle had been drunk but finally, they brought another bottle.
Amazing spot with good food and good atmosphere. Waiters are friendly and not extremely expensive
the waiters are super friendly and fun (especially that one guy i forgot his name). i think that their appetizers are the highlight, definitely recommend the takoyaki, the ebi tempura and their potato korokke. their presentation? on top. i also suggest their grilled squid, and their katsu curry if they still have it. oh and you CANNOT MISS their homemade matcha cheesecake. it's so creamy and perfectly sweet. imadake izakaya is the perfect place to catch up with friends over dinner
Use to come here a decade ago, and very glad the food was still on point and the staff was super welcoming! We went early at 5PM with a toddler and a stroller - super family friendly and a bonus my daughter ate all her food and enjoyed a Hello Kitty mocktail We ordered: tuna tataki (raw) Beef tataki (raw) Udon carbonara (super creamy yum!) Kaki fried (oysters) Okinomiyaki (delicious pancake) Japanese fried
Came here with a group of 5. We split 2 sake bottles and shared a number of plates. Everything was excellent including the service, and it was priced reasonably for the quality you’re getting. It’s a great place to be a little adventurous and try different things.
A Wonderful Japanese Izakaya. Delicious food, variety of drink options, sake bombs, great atmosphere. Coat check at the front for easy sitting (chairs do not have backs but are very comfortable). All the staff are amazing. Cant wait to stop back next time I’m in town. Recommend!
Japanese restaurant with ramen that look and taste like the ones they make in Japan. Their menu is well-balanced and has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the grilled calamari and takoyaki as starters, then transitioned to a seasonal carbonara udon and the kuromiya ramen. All plates tasted amazing. In terms of atmosphere, I went with a 3 out of 5 because the place has a weird smell that I've never found in other establishments of similar cuisine; and it's very noise (which some people may like). Service was mediocre, with our server never looking at our table and taking forever to see what we needed. Overall, a 4 out of 5 - but still worth going again because of the delicious, authentic food.
I visited this restaurant after I came across it in the Japanese food festival. This is currently my new favvvv Japanese restaurant !! I ordered the following food items: - Gyu Tataki - Butabara Yakitori Style - Shoyu Tonkotsu Baka Ramen - Kuromayu Ramen - Raindrop Cake The Gyu Tataki, it’s a dish featuring thinly sliced seared beef, was a revelation of textures and flavors. Each tender bite was complemented by the tangy citrus-infused sauce. This was my absolute favourite. <3 The Butabara Yakitori Style, succulent pork skewers grilled to perfection, with the tender, smoky meat offered an explosion of umami flavors, leaving me wanting more of it. I don’t have any words to describe the raindrop cake other than simply asking you all to try it. It was honestly something I didn’t expect (in an amazingly good way). Sake Bomb was on the house since we had visited the Japanese food festival and had gotten a coupon for a free one. (You must surely have the sake bomb once!!) The fusion of delectable dishes, lively ambiance, and attentive service makes it an ideal destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts (like me). I am gonna be visiting again soon to try the other items on the menu.
The ramen is amazing!! the broth is tasty, the only negative point is the service. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and had good advice/recommendations, but not very present. We waited a long time for water during the meal and we had to call several waiters and waitresses to get service. Vegetarian options: Lots of choice, the vegetable tempura was very good.
Great place to have fun, eat different plates while chugging soju! I was surprised with the amount of choices this restaurant offers. We had a really good time and the staff was really kind.
Excellent service from Bin, who was very friendly and helpful. We really liked the Yakisoba, black cod and sirloin on a sizzling plate. Not too expensive and good quality. Sake bomb is a must.
The ramen was delicious. Broth was rich and pork was very tasty.
Its not the first time Ive been to this restaurant and the ambiance and food remains amazing. A bar atmosphere with incredible dishes! The service is top notch and the servers know how to set the mood during a sake bomb. :) I would go back without any fear.
I would put six stars if I could
This is my second time her, first time was in 2020 during the pandemic and I absolutely loved the experience the first time. Tonight is the second time, and the experience/ambiance/service as a whole has been AMAZING. The food was CRAZY GOOD, the atmosphere was Energizing and the service was maybe ONE OF THE BEST I ve ever had in a long time since the pandemic. Our waiter Tyler, kept amazing attention to our needs, kepts asking if we needed anything else and overall took our night experience to the NEXT LEVEL. He apologized about the wait, which wasn t even bad in my opinion, but made sure to always make us feel prioritized and seen even if we arrived at peek time in a Friday night. I can t recommend this place enough, the quality of the foods and the service was excellent and WAY MORE than what we expected, taking in consideration that the prices where pretty LOW, the food quality was HIGH and that the waiter was EXTREMELY attentive to our needs. Thank you to Tyler and all the staff member that where present tonight, our night was taken to the next level because of this whole experience with you guys.
Always great food here, but last time i visited, our waiter seemed to be careless. Service like that unfortunately ruins the experience.
My favorite restaurant, the quality of the ingredients is incredible. The atmosphere is very festive! The service very good
We had a rather interesting experience at this restaurant tonight. Despite it being a relatively quiet Thursday, we waited about 20 minutes before being served water, all while our waitress engaged in a lengthy conversation with another table. I sincerely hope this will be the first and only time I ever consider leaving a restaurant without dining.
Friendly and attentive service at the bar! Merci, Antoine!
Amazing find!! Great food. Vegetarian options: For those who don t eat porc, there were options with amazing taste Food : 5/5 |
Very generous and nice staff. And the food and drinks were delicious!
The food was decent but the atmosphere was extremely noisy. It was impossible to chat and one had to shout at the top of their voice to be heard. The restaurant staff were unresponsive and could not hear you over so much of noise.
My friend sosuke bring me here and it s so delicious and the service is soo good and they are so friendly
Ramen was okay, but way overpriced. Waiter didn t speak a word of French.
Ive been going here for over a decade and love it so much. A few dishes have disappeared, but everything on the menu is excellent. I have never been disappointed with a drink or food choice. Some of my top three favorites are Korokke, Yaki ika Grilled Squid & Imadake Yakiniku. Honorable mentionable also are the tako wasbi, edamame & tako Karaage. The service is fantastic. The servers are always fun; the hostess is always Inviting and kind. I think they deserve raises and a pat on the back for how good of experience they go out of their way to provide.
Fun staff and best vibe. A must if you want to have a fun experience downtown.
Spectacular food, quality, flavor and know-how. The best ramen Ive had outside of Japan, the octopus balls are also delicious. The service was good but spoiled by the tables that were partying. The atmosphere is the worst; a lot of noise, shouts, troubles and rows of people, especially at sake time
Superb place to eat fabulous ramen and other Japanese dishes with a unique atmosphere inside! Be careful, if youre looking for peace and quiet, prefer to take away, its just as delicious and will suit you better!
Amazing service from Ben who took very good care of our large group in the private room we had!
The night was so cool! Thanks Min for your plum soju recommendation! It s my favourite and for making me discover plum wine<33Had a really fun night. Plus she was really cool !! Food was nice drinks too I recommend the Hello kitty one if u like sweet drinks. Really had a great time and Nancy was an amazing waitress, great energy thanks for the nightt. Really recommend this place
a steal and really not very good: the tempura shrimp are identical to those you buy in the grocery store
Very good and super cool staff
Had to leave a review after our experience last night, which started out very rocky and ended up amazing. Long story short, the restaurant and its staff were VERY overwhelmed and it took a really long time for us to be served at all. However, the staff - one of the chefs especially - were so gracious and communicative about it, and ended up giving us free dishes and shots. The food was DELICIOUS. It was wild and we ended up leaving and saying to each other: that was iconic . Happy we stuck it out!
Shrimp tempura - divine! The available on request. Customers arrive around 7:00-8:00 p.m. Reserve your place!
Fun place, amazing ramen and service is very friendly, especially for Montreal
The food is simply freaking awesome!!!! The sevice is 5star and so is the amboence. It was my first time yesterday thanks to friends and I highly recomend it, awesome japonese cuisine.
Very inviting atmosphere with decent cocktails and yummy gyoza. Nancy was our server, and she was was a joy and very prompt.
Love the food good vibes
We just ate here as a group of six before a movie at the forum. Great food (tasty & fresh), service and atmosphere and they accommodated us even though we were on a time crunch. We had a mix of the specials, ramen, grilled and fried stuff and everything was good. Would recommend & would be back.
We ordered through Uber and they canceled our order 1 hour later. Reason too many people in the restaurant
I was delighted to celebrate my birthday with my friends in Imadake this week. The dishes were delicious and the presentation was neat. Marinated black cod , a real treat! Our server, Benji, took great care of us. Also a big thank you to DJ Jeff who played some great mixed songs. I will definitely come back again. Great food, great atmosphere, great service.
Best ramen Ive had yet. The service was great at the bar table as well. Antoine was amazing, kind and respectful, attending to us whenever we needed
Bland food! I do not recommend!
Beef tartare isn t fresh. I had severe abdominal pain and diarrhea after the meal
Great food and good service. Kid-friendliness: There is no kids menu, but the dishes are made to share so there are plenty of options for kids. Food : 5/5 |
Beware of coming on Tuesdays. There were three mediocre DJs taking turns, blasting music at a deafening volume (90-95dB). Food was good, just wish I could have enjoyed it without risking my hearing and sanity. I believe this was for ladies night, so beware girls: at Imadake, no one can hear you scream.
Amazing food, probably my new favorite Izakaya in Montreal. Food was very fresh and tasty, we had the Okonomiyaki, ramen, takoyaki and Japanese fries. Very authentic feel to the place, the whole kitchen staff is Japanese and everyone welcomes you with a « irasshaimse » when you come in. Our waitress Min was a sweetheart and I recommend asking for her if you go restaurant doesn t look like much from the outside, but trust me it s worth a try. Will be back for sure!
Daddy Danny is the best Bar Tender, he know how to make your night tender
Deguelasse
they simply do it well on every front.
A really delightful experience and techno music with matcha cheese cake as dessert. Thanks!
Loved the place! Staff was great and food was fantastic.
Good service, cool atmosphere, great food.
Its a place where the drinks and food are absolutely delicious haha.
Very good service and very good food!
My partner and I came across this restaurant by chance, and its a real gold mine! The ramen was delicious and tasty. And what about their homemade macha cheesecake? Its excellent! The place is pleasant with a nice atmosphere, the staff is courteous and kind. A must if you are in Montreal and like ramen!
This is the best izakaya downtown, the food is so delicious and has been consistently good since the opening! The atmosphere is also very festive.
Used to be one of my all time greats , unfortunately recent experiences have led me to edit . Food mostly very delicious, however the price quantity ratio is definitely begin to deteriorate. Ordered a highball and had to return it twice because it was completely flat . Service was good, could have been better by the waiter checking in with us more as we finished our food and had to wait a while before the attention of them to order more stuff .
Really good food, service is amazing
Delicious and good environment~
Reminds me of Tokyo izakayas.
I took my boyfriend out for his birthday and we absolutely loved it! Our server Ben was fun to talk to and they have the best French fries!! Definitely recommend!
Amazing atmosphere, great service. They go above and beyond to make you happy and give you a great night to remember. The only downside was the Ramen, it lacks flavor.
The vegan ramen gave me food poisoning. Ruined the finally day of my trip in Montreal as I was sick the whole day. If I could give this place a 0 I would. Vegetarian options: Very limited. One vegan ramen option and the rest are side dishes.
Sake / Boom!!! Vegetarian options: Several options on the menus.
Foods really good. Black cod and oyster mushrooms were delicious! Very tender karage chicken. Do not expect big portions. Our service from Ben was phenomenal thank you. We were a large group as well. Extra star for his service!! Liezl
Festive atmosphere!
My visit to Imadake Izakaya was frustratingly overshadowed by painfully slow service. Orders were taken at a snails pace, and the wait for food was excruciating, with zero communication from the staff about the delays. Although the food was passable, the service was inexcusably sluggish, souring the entire experience. This restaurant needs to drastically improve its service speed or risk turning away more customers. I am highly disappointed and unlikely to return.
Our waitress Nancy was very professional and very friendly. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable and the service is very friendly and attentive.
I read that this is one of the best izakayas in Montreal but that was not my experience at all. There wasnt anything authentic about the food and there was something off about every dish. It felt like amateur hour in the kitchen. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and ramen. The okay dishes were the shrimp mayo and yukke, though both lacked refinement. The shrimps were big and fried well, but the pieces of nuts were chunky and odd. The yukke was seasoned well but the strands of beef made it look like it had been put through a meat grinder without being cut properly. It was just weird to be eating long, thick stings of beef. Everything else went downhill from there. The karaage was over fried, dry and not juicy. The okonomiyaki was literally pancake batter with a few tiny pieces of tako - it tasted like a bunch of takoyaki flattened into a pancake shape. The gindara cod was cooked well, but it was such a small piece and the marinade was overly sweet with no other flavour. It felt so homecooked. The worst offender was the ramen. We waited so long for this that we werent really hungry anymore. But this has got to be the worst ramen Ive eaten in my life. The broth was so thick and heavy that it tasted more like a stew. The noodles were undercooked and tasted like spaghetti. The chashu slices did not taste fresh. Neither of us could eat more than a few bites because it was just so bad! Honestly, my experience here has scarred me from trying out other Japanese places in Montreal if this is considered one of the best...
Wow, this place was incredible. Great service, super tasty food, we got the ribeye and the hot stone to cook it on was fun. Also had the albacore with wasabi vinaigrette and the pork belly skewers with bbq sauce. Delicious! The hello kitty drink was pureed magic. The complimentary hot tea was nice since it was cold and wet outside. Definitely recommend Imadake!
Excellent restaurant, the food is very good, very friendly waiters and beautiful atmosphere!
Very Sheeesh Environment
The hospitality, the food and the service are perfect, theyre the best !I love Richard
tried everything vegan on the menu and 10/10. impeccable service too :)
An excellent restaurant, which doesnt look like much from the outside, and yet. Beautiful decor, a beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and a very complete and varied tapas and drinks menu.
Great vibes, tasty food. The service was pretty bad though.
Proper izakaya, casual, efficient service. Cold beer, tasty dishes and a good playlist. Would recommend.
Great experience, and even better food. Staff made the experience even better. Drinks were also very good and pretty well priced.
Great experience overall
Overall very good experience! Food was amazing and staffs were very friendly and funny:)) a speaker at the bar to make the music reach would make it even better tho!
Its a really nice place good staff, food tastes amazing! It is not the cheapest and some food dont have sides so if youre expecting cheap and big portion might not be your best choice. However if you want quality Japanese food go there !
Amazing Japanese restaurant with great beer and even better food. Think more like tapas style with a ton of shareable plates and the best ramen I ve ever had!
Food was excellent and the service was great. Its nice to have shareable plates so you can try everything
Great staff Service was great
The BEST!
Their tonkotsu ramen is one for the best I have tried in the city.
Good food but portions are too small for the price
Everything from service to food was horrible. The waiter never even wanted to serve us. The food was cold when served and lacked flavor. The broth that was in the ramen tasted like it was water and had no flavour. I feel like theyve rushed trought without tasting the broth. Overall I dont recommend this place.
Great evening for my sisters birthday! The waitress Nancy was great, she accompanied us all evening with a crazy atmosphere! She made us the whole evening and thank you again Nancy for your superb service and your good humor!!! We will come back for sure
Food and drinks were great, service was even better, our waitress Nancy was amazing! Would definitely recommend! Thank you!
A great Japanese restaurant for Ramen and other delectable Japanese delicacies =) Prices are good, staff are nice and the decor inside is quite quaint. It s located almost on the edge of downtown Montreal. Food : 4/5
Best Japanese restaurant in Montreal! Nancy provided the BEST service we ve ever had!! The food and atmosphere was immaculate. We will definitely be back thanks to the food as well as Nancy and her amazing service!
S/o nancy best service
Great service shoutout nancy
Staff were all so joyful and nice with us. Ramens were delicious as well for the price. Thank you Min Jee for your great service. I had the spicy broth with some fried chicken and wasabi sauce. Cant wait to go back and try something else.
Anthony is a top G server, we had the best experience of our life!
I recommend this restaurant with my eyes closed! Under the advice of our charming waitress Min Jee we had fried chicken and ramen (the one with mushrooms I dont remember the name) and my friend the spiciest! We enjoyed ourselves. Bravo to Min Jees cuisine and smiling service.
Had a good time, Nancys great
The staff ( Waiter(ess), barmaid and head chef ) were so kind and nice, my girlfriend and I had an amazing time. The food is also great, we cant recommend it enough ! Food
Festive atmosphere, excellent food every time (I must have been there about ten times).
Waited 1 hour for a small food order that never came. Had to ask for the drinks bill so we could get out and the waiter didn t even know what we had ordered. The worst. Use to be nice, now it s terrible Food
Great restaurant looks like a hole in the wall but do not judge a book by its cover, the food was amazing, the service was the same.
One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Montreal. Great food and always fun vibe for a date casual night or groups. Friendly staff, highly recommended!
Wonderful service!!! Amazing food!!! Great vibes!!! Definitely a place to keep going to!!! Prices are very reasonable for what you are getting!!! PS. Kids friendly as well !!! Food : 5/5
Excellent food! Excellent service! Cocktails are awesome! A must-try! Food : 5/5 |
Love soup base of ramen! Excellent service as always:) people were really nice and willing to share the food knowledge
Portions too small and overpriced !!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Succulent and great service as always!
A great place. happy staff
Great place
This place was soooo fun! It was a little slow to start but we got there at 930pm on a Thursday and the place was still packed. Once we got our order in it was quick, our server was fun and friendly. The food was tasty and because my daughter and I brought our friends from out of town, we were able to try multiple dishes which is definitely the way to go! If you re looking for a loud, fun environment with fun tasty food I highly recommend this Izakaya. My friends from Vancouver absolutely loved this place.
Fun in groups! Lots of tasty food to choose from, the bill can run away from you so it s best to order a couple of small plates, reassess your appetite, and order more if you re still hungry! Cocktails are delicious.
We were a small group and sampled several plates. The food is simply delicious. Their house beer is smooth and tasty without too much bitterness. Only downside, reserve a bench seat if you dont like stools. My little neglected 37 year old back had no fun .
Imadake Izakaya: A Vibrant Tapestry of Grilled Enchantment Tucked within a leisurely stroll from the Atwater metro station, Imadake Izakaya beckons as an authentic haven of Japanese gastronomy and the convenience of abundant paid parking in close proximity ensures a seamless journey. While a series of steps grace the entrance, its worth noting that the absence of wheelchair accessibility is a limitation that gently underscores the spirited aura within. As you step across the threshold, a symphony of boisterous patrons enraptured in their culinary indulgence welcomes you. The bustling energy weaves an intoxicating atmosphere that authentically embodies the izakaya experience. Amidst this lively canvas, the establishment stands as a paragon of efficient staffing. Despite the joyful chaos, the service remains an embodiment of excellence. Our server gracefully navigated the dance of orders, ensuring our dining sojourn flowed seamlessly as we delighted in multiple rounds of exquisite fare. The journey through flavors was nothing short of poetic. Grilled seafood and meats emerged as orchestrated symphonies of taste, each morsel perfected to achieve the zenith of succulence and flavor. The 1-liter Sapporo beer, cradled in a chilled, thick glass mug, retained its frosty allure a small detail that speaks volumes about the meticulous care woven into every aspect. The embrace of warm sake added an exquisite layer of comfort, a delightful elixir that kindled warmth within. Imadake Izakaya radiates as a luminous star within Montreals culinary constellation. It isnt just about the culinary offerings its an orchestration of ambiance, service, and flavors that elegantly dance together. Every element of Imadake Izakaya is imbued with distinction, a testament to a commitment to excellence that resonates in every bite and sip. Amidst this orchestration, a reasonable price point underscores the dedication to offering an exceptional experience within easy reach. In honor of its profound impact on both palate and spirit, Imadake Izakaya is unequivocally deserving of a well-earned five-star rating. As steadfast patrons, we eagerly anticipate the continuation of this enchanting culinary journey, savoring the vivacious experience that awaits with every visit.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Great choices tasty food and drinks. Food
We went here yesterday and we re served by Nancy, who seemed to be taking care of the entire restaurant. She was amazing and made our experience memorable with her energy and care for us to have a great time. The food was amazing, varied and for my friend and I to stuff ourselves with two sake-bombs and three cocktails, it came down to about 80-90$ per person. Will come back here! And highly recommend going on Fridays and Saturdays because I believe that s when Nancy works.
The food was awesome and the waiter Ben served us with great patience as if it was walking into moms kitchen
The honorable mention Ramen... tastes like Cream of mushroom soup.
Amazing ramen and super nice staff. You should try their original beer - also top. Will come back every time.
Fun place
Delicious food! Great waiter, the food came out quick and was hot. Definitely plan on going back!
Amazing Japanese Pub!! The waiters are very friendly and cheerful. Just so future customers know, the pub serves tapas. The atmosphere is very jovial and focused on the party (which is very pleasant)! I would recommend this pub for a group of young students or party people.
Very attentive and caring service, our server Min was impeccable. Good food and fun ambiance. Prime rib and cod were a favorite
We had a great experience. The food was delicious we had great service by Nancy. THANKS!
The service, drinks, and food were amazing. The tonkotsu ramen was impeccable and rich in flavour. Big shout out and thank you to our server Nancy who gave us an incredible service and was so kind and patient even during rush hours!
Truly a great experience! I loved the food and atmosphere. The staff was really great really fast service. The restaurant was clean. I dont have anything bad to say. Id recommend the spicy Ramen with chicken it was delicious. If youre In the area check this place out. Im certainly going back!
I was there recently for dinner and was quite disappointed with both the service and more importantly, my meal! First off, my friend received her dish before I received mine. I dont understand why both meals werent served at the same time, so I sat there and watched her eat her meal. About 10 minutes later, my meal was served. This is a big NO NO. DO NOT SERVE PEOPLE AT DIFFERENT TIMES...BRING ALL THE MEALS OUT AT THE SAME TIME! I thought this was basic restaurant standards but I guess its not at this resto. I instantly regretted my meal choice. The Carbonara is listed on the menu with Bacon, but it was actually served with Prosciutto. The poached egg was rawer then it should have been and I actually got a stomach ache after eating a few bites. Everything seemed undercooked and I would have changed my order had the waitress come to check in on us, but she never did. We never even got our water glasses refilled until we waved down a different waitress. I couldnt eat the rest of my meal, so again, sat there and watched my friend eat. After she was done, I had to wave down yet a different person to get the bill. If this person had asked how was everything?, I would have told them, but they didnt ask. Considering what I paid, Im very disappointed.
Horrible service!! We waited over 30 minutes to get our order taken and we had to find our server in order to get it. When we finished our meal, we asked for our cheque and never got it, we had to wave down at least 2 waitresses to ask AGAIN! Finally 25 minutes later or more the waitress brought over the wrong cheque! We had to tell her that not all the dishes were added to the bill. One wrong after the other! The food was OK but we would never go back or recommend it!! Also there were so many people smoking outside the restaurant so the fumes come straight in the open door.
I came here with a party of six and let me just say, it was a good way to start the night. The food was great, everything came out relatively quickly. I was skeptical about the fries but the server convinced me otherwise. Speaking of the server, Nancy! Nancy was a great! Very fun, charismatic, helped us out with the menu/recommendations. Definitely would come back, when were in town.
Me and my boyfriend went there 2 times already. The food is overall quite good, I had beef tongue for the first time of my life, it was tasty, the grilled calamari were okay, the ramen soup was quite nice, the broth had a lot of taste. For the drinks we had 3 cocktails from their cocktail menu, their Long Island ice tea, was mostly tasting gin with some floral infusion. Overall we had a great night, it s worth the stop for the ambiance as well!
Great place for food and drinks.Great atmosphere. Staff is friendly and excellent service. Will definitely go again.
Food is delicious. The atmosphere is animated. Service is good. Nice place to have a great dinner!
Amazing food! Great ambiance and impressive staff!
Great experience, great service. Super generous (extra food) because of the wait time (which wasnt bad at allllll). Honestly best ramen ever, calamari were also insaaaane. Highly recommend!!!!! Thanks again and see you verryyyyy sooonnnn NANCY WAS THE BEST SERVER EVER
food so good, drinks so good, Nancys the best (even though she wasnt our server)
First time in this restaurant and certainly not the last. Our server was super nice and personable, I think his name is Vubert! Superb beautiful atmosphere. Especially the background music, not too loud and above all good choice of music I had fries and the Kalbi. We shared other dishes which were just as good. The only problem was that there wasnt really a choice of good virgin drinks. I recommend this restaurant for a great evening with a great vibe!
One of the best foods in MTL!
During ramen week, a Friday evening, the restaurant was full, we had reservations. Sitting on the small benches under the big neon light, at first glance the evening seemed headed for disaster but quite the opposite. Despite the crowd, the service was good, the atmosphere was festive and the meal was full of promise. Passing through a fine selection of sake and cocktails, we start the evening with Umeshu, a plum wine. We continue with classics and novelties, whether karaage, beef tataki, octopus with wasabi, grilled squid and a ramen for ramen week, everything was delicious. A small ending with a traditional sake bomb, for pleasure and atmosphere. Once you know that this place is rather noisy and festive, if thats what youre looking for youll have a good evening!
Wow! A superb evening, our server Remi gave great advice, adorable, smiling and so friendly! Delicious food, sophisticated dishes, heartfelt value for the yakiniku on hot stone and the karaage and to finish in style a sake bomb in joy and good humor! Thank you we will come back for sure!
Best Japanese rest in Montreal
The ramen and appetizers were good, but the drinks were truly amazing. Tenshi No Namida is a cocktail made with gin and aloe juice and it is a perfect combination that I had never thought of before. The umeshu was also delicious. Great service too!
The waiters are extremely responsive and the drinking atmosphere is vibrant. Perfect for big parties as well since they have a private area!
Very tasty ramen. Its to be noted thought that most of the seating is on boxes so there are no backs
Nice atmosphere, excellent food, incredible service (we even had shots on the house!) and fair prices. I m going again for sure!
The food was delicious. The sizzling plate of grilled beef is a must. The waiter was very attentive to our needs, helpful and funny. Good job Ben! Food
I m from Japan, I know how Japanese food should taste. They have actual Japanese izakaya menu, I tried three dishes and nothing disappointed me. Servers are friendly and provide great service. Definitely recommend this place.
The atmosphere is incomparable, the food is an ode to life and the time you will spend in these places unforgettable. Come discover the Legend!
Sake bombs are really fun to do as a group and the cold pint beers will quench your alcohol thirst. However, the food is waaaay over priced for what you get. No value to be had here but you will get the vibes.
a good place to chat, drink. But the background music was a little bit noisy. The ramen is too little. The karage is pretty good.
Great atmosphere, good comfort food, simple and tasty. Pleasant and friendly service!
Vibrant place. Great food. Our group had an amazing evening. The staff are on top of their game!
Great good, service was a bit slow but overall enjoyed our dinner there. Sakeee Bomb!
Great vibes, great for big groups. Sale bombs galore. Highly recommended good selection of snacks as well.
I tried the korokke and shoyu tonkotsu baka ramen with teriyaki chicken. I was told that the broth is quite strong in pork flavour so I opted for a lighter meat option. Which was a great choice because the chicken was tender and flavourful! Fun and amazing playlist! Great vibe all around.
Good food with good vibe
Nancy s the sake BOMB. Coming back just to see her. So attentive, so alert, and so fun! Thanks for a great experience!
Decent meal, good price. Would recommend
I went there for a friends party. Excellent Japanese food and original cocktails. Remy, our server, was the cherry on Sunday! I recommend 100%
Had a blast, Kelly was great at rallying the troops for Sake bomb, glad to have brought my out of town friends there !!
Always a fun night at Imadake. Really recommend asking the chef to bring plates to surprise us.
Food is great!! Second time here and the service is as great as the first time! Shoutout to Flavie and Sonia at the bar, they re awesome!
A lively Japanese Restaurant-Bar where the ambiance is festive and carefree. Great shots of sake with drinks and the octopus balls remind me of my trip to Japan
Worth the try and atmosphere is great the food had a nice flavor and vigor, the service was nice as well with the multitude of clients.
