Excellent service! The food is delicious. We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful evening. Thanks to the Luna team!

A bit disappointed with our experience at Luna. The service was extremely slow and we could see that the restaurant was clearly understaffed for the amount of people dining in. As a result, we waited over 30 mins for our main course to arrive after we had finished our entrées. The price was pretty steep for the dishes, which were okay at best (some a hit, some a miss). The staff were kind despite being very overwhelmed. Overall it wasnt an experience worth coming back for.

We had a very nice evening with friends. On the weekend, there are two menus: the half moon (3 courses) or the full moon (5 courses). We tried the japchae and the Korean barbecue (pork and chicken) and with the starters everything was very good. The service is very friendly and efficient. Its also a bring-your-own-wine restaurant, which is not insignificant in terms of the cost of the bill. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options (kimchi or tofu)

An explosion of flavors!! The exact words for all the dishes presented during the Full Moon menu. The salmon, the Kimchi, the Korean BBQ... everything was fantastic. And the service is excellent. AVOID IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES! The waiters have no idea what ingredients are in each dish. I have received a lot of incorrect information about what foods I am allergic to. I was told they dont have seafood, but I had to point out that there is shrimp on their menu. Dishes arrived and I was told I could eat them, but two minutes later another waiter arrived to tell me not to eat them. I had to change the order of my main course which I had been assured was correct... but in the end it wasnt. You really cant trust them if you have allergies, avoid at all costs! In addition, we have 2 hours to eat: it was them who did not manage to free our table in time, so we returned 20 minutes late, but we still had to leave at the scheduled time, so 1h40 instead of 2 hours. Terrible service across the board.

The walls are black, which creates a cozy atmosphere but when its full of people, it becomes oppressive and very noisy. I didnt appreciate that the young girl at reception was monolingual in English. On the other hand, the waiter/manager is a Frenchman who knows the dishes well and is very nice. He checks carefully if we have any allergies. I appreciated it even though I dont have any. The appetizers and starters were exceptional. Unfortunately the main course was more ordinary.

Service in French difficult to obtain. The waitress only speaks and understands English. A single French-speaking colleague who is also very kind. Table very close. Despite a reservation for a romantic dinner, initially, we were offered a table for 4 already occupied by 2 people. There is a menu installed on a plexiglass which only separates us. I insist on having a table for 2 but the waitress tells me that it is a table for 2. We ourselves moved the table as little as we could... Our second experience at Luna was just as satisfying as the first and we will definitely return. Plus the fact that its a bring your own wine is a big plus. This intimate restaurant with a few tables offers a cozy atmosphere and pleasant simplicity. We chose the Full Moon menu and in the starters we were enchanted by the HWE Salmon, accompanied by a demonstration of its preparation. The shrimp and lotus salad was also delicious, creamy, tangy and refreshing. The Galbi Mandoo was exceptional, with a thin crust, umami taste and perfectly simmered meat. For mains, the Japchae and Pork Bibimbap were perfect choices, with generous portions, punchy flavors and careful presentations. In summary, Luna is a superb restaurant with attentive owners, discreet service, reasonable prices and above all authentic cuisine prepared with passion.

Excellent, diverse cuisine (we took the Pleine Lune tasting menu). Kind and attentive service. The only problem for this restaurant is the fact that the place is very small and the space has been optimized with a maximum of tables. Result: the noise is almost unbearable and we cannot hear ourselves speaking. Would I go back? Unfortunately no.

Neighborhood restaurant, serving Korean cuisine. Its a BYOB, we really appreciate that concept. (Thank you to the owners for continuing to offer this typical local and increasingly rare option) We loved our dining experience. Our choice was the 5-course Luna menu. (For 2 people minimum) This is perfect for those who like to try multiple foods and different flavors. What a great discovery and experience it was; as well presented as it is good. The owner or person in charge of the service goes so far as to give us a demonstration on how to prepare one of the starters (the salmon one). We really liked this little moment taken by the staff which adds a little extra touch to the meal experience. Thank you for the welcome which is a little reserved but polite, friendly and efficient. We suggest you book according to the day and time you plan to come. We saw several people turn around due to lack of space. (Visit June 23, 2024) Good value for money The dishes were tasty. And finishing with two mochis (choice of mango or matcha tea) is a good thing because they are fresh, light and bring a little sweet taste to finish without being too stuffy. We will come back with pleasure...

The food was very mediocre. The portion sizes for the appetizers were laughably small, especially for two people and incredibly expensive for what it was. Everything tasted very bland too, not really what you would expect eating korean food. The server was nice though.

Good to very good. Tasting menus are appetizer style (1-2 bites) for everything except the main meal which is a standard sized main course. I would have preferred to have more of each tapas style starter and less of the main meal. The Korean BBQ dish is more like preparing fajitas on a sizzling cast iron plate. The meat didnt have the grilled side of table-side BBQ that I was looking for, but the flavors were still there. A little on the expensive overall side, but its a BYOB. 4.2

First time having dinner at Lunas. Very nice atmosphere, succulent meals and unparalleled service. Giancarlo will amaze you.(10/10) Unfortunately, we chose the wrong table, located in the center of the restaurant it was directly under the air conditioner which had been set to 61deg F. The doors were open on a not necessarily very hot evening. As a result, our dinner cooled very quickly which was a shame because it was very good.

EXCELLENT MEAL, GREAT SERVICE, BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

Its still a good restaurant with very good service, but I think it was better before the pandemic. The bibimbaps are okay, but the classic sauce is a little too sweet and its not as good as Chez Bong (Chinatown), even though its much more expensive. Be careful, on weekends it is now only the tasting menus which are good but very expensive. You can eat very good (or even better) Korean elsewhere in Montreal for less money, honestly.

Coming from Vancouver, I ve never been to a fine dining Korean restaurant. We had their set menu that was priced around $50/person. The food was spectacular and felt authentic. The atmosphere was cozy and nicely renovated. There were 5 side dishes served prior to the 5 appetizers. We were 3 people and each chose a different main so we got to try everything. I think I would recommend the bibimbap as first choice. Finally, the meal ended with mochi ice cream. All the food were perfectly cooked and marinated. I found spiciness of the dishes, such as kimchi, was never overpowering as someone that can t handle spicy well. It had a good balance of sweetness with subtle spiciness in it. Overall, the staff were nice and super efficient. We never really needed to flag them down because they were attentive to the cues of the table. Just take note that you can bring your own wine and you need to order two of the same kinds of menu during the weekend. Overall, I felt like the 50$ set menu dinner was worthwhile. I couldn t finish my main so I will have some for lunch the next day!

Its always very good every time we go there! The table service is fast and the staff is friendly and smiling. We are already looking forward to our next visit! On the other hand, the place is small, I recommend that you make a reservation.

What a superb evening! The service is fantastic

Note for people with autism: the lighting is soothing but the place is very loud. It sits maybe 40 people and the walls reverberate sound so we couldnt hear ourselves talk unless we raised our voices uncomfortably. The sound could be muffled with simple curtains on the walls. This said, the food was great! A bit on the pricy side (two main menu choices, one is $37 and the other is the same but with more food, $47 each plus taxes and service) but its BYOB so it helped. We wont go back because of the noise but the food was exquisite so we might order take out one day.

It was great, the waiters and waitresses were very appreciated and the dishes were so good and tasty, they were indescribable. Not too noisy and a wonderful atmosphere was established there. It was a very good experience.

Prices and the quality of food and service are very compatible. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is the force 18% tips. I think its a disrespectful format most restaurants are working with. I must say I almost gave 3 stars for that.

Dinner was great but not exceptional. The proximity of the washroom to the nearest tables in a problem, as highlighted in other reviews. Service was OK, our server was a bit all over the place. He opened our wine bottle and just left it on our table without serving it. A big downside for me was the too-fast service. We ve been told that we just have 2 hours at our table. I understand that maximizing 2-3 services per night is ideal for the restaurant but I would ve pay to stay longer and taking more time to eat

We had a great evening in this Korean restaurant with a subdued, slightly intimate atmosphere. The welcome was warm, the service fast and pleasant. The dishes were delicious. We loved the Valentines Day menu with starters to share: everything was served in good quantity and the quality of the ingredients was impeccable! We were able to discover lots of flavors, all as surprising as they were delicious. Favorite for the beef ravioli which are the best I have ever eaten. In short, it was faultless for the Luna, from which we left happy and satisfied. We highly recommend!

The tables are very close to each other...there is a lack of privacy. But, otherwise, everything is extraordinary!!

Galbi Mandoo Ravioli (fried or steamed) made at home with marinated beef and pork ribs, tofu, leek, garlic, onion - very good, a bit expensive but nothing scary. Japchae Starch vermicelli sautéed with vegetables: sweet potato, carrots, onions, red cabbage, cabbage, green onion, broccoli, zucchini, bean sprouts, pepper, egg Tasty, varied, fresh... a little lacking in meat though.

Food was fantastic. We took the pleine lune tasting menu and brought a rose. Overall a great experience, with very friendly staff. My favorite was the SaumonHwe. Only con was we were sat right next to the washroom (occasionally needed to rearrange ourselves to let people in the washroom). definitely will reserve next time!

This is a little gem that I found to celebrate my birthday. There were 3 of us and this place is quite small with an extremely inconvenient entrance. Despite the little inconveniences the food was exquisite and we each ordered the demi lune, which allowed us to chose our main dish. I ordered the beef bibibap and it was so amazing!! We also received 2 separate servings appetizers. Our server was very good and he even brought me a desert and they sang happy birthday to me. This is a place to bring your own wine which is why we chose the place. It was a perfect night and I would totally go back!!
