Very tasty food from South American countries. The service is friendly and efficient. A growing business that I’m happy to encourage.
I’ve lived in Montreal all my life and never stepped inside of here before but better late than never. The menu is extensive with lots of vegetarian options and the service is polite and fast. The vibe and food are 100% authentic (they even specify from where each of the empanadas originate from.) I had the spicy vegetarian burrito and it kept me full and nourished all day. Healthy and delicious food at a great price. They have the option to eat in or take to go. Eat in you get your food on a plate and to go they put it in a plastic container or paper bag. Best to eat in to avoid the plastic but if you take the burrito it makes no difference.
Lots of choices to chose from. Tamal Colombian was pretty good. Packed with meat and veggie inside with a pickled red onions and salsa. Very filling for lunch. Churros were delicious with gooey caramel filling however it is cold. There is array of empanadas to choose from.
This has to be as close as you can get to a real Latin American style cafeteria in Montreal. The selection is huge and they prepare the food nice and quick. Prices are reasonable also in comparison to most restaurants. They feature some tasty baked goods and desserts as well. If you love latin food, you gotta check this place out.
We had the chicharron pupusas, the beef tongue plate with fried plantain, bean rice and yucca fries. The food was amazing! The beef tongues are not a usual choice of meat for us, but we were feeling adventurous. They were so tender and perfectly seasoned, they tasted great with the bean rice. The pupusas were freshly prepared. With the medium spicy sauce, they were fantastic, perfectly toasted on the outside, tender yummy porky filling inside. It is a cafeteria style of restaurant so order at the counter and find seats afterwards (about 20 seats only). The counter lady was so patient at explaining the various options to us. We would definitely come back again. The menu seems to be composed of Mexican, Colombian and Salvadoran delights.
Next to the grocery store, there is a little "restaurant" that serves different items all over South America. I was very surprised by the taste. It was delicious! I especially liked the empanadas, tamales and their rice and beans. We also got to try cactus for the first time. The items have strong flavors because of the spices and salt. I'm glad to have salads on the side to balance it out. One little hick in the consistency of the portions. We got two persons to serve us and we got like two different sized portions. It was nothing outrageous but noticeable I recommend this place 👍
An excellent spot that only locals seem to know about. You can dine in, takeout, or get groceries here. Great lunch spot! Tacos, arepas, and empanadas 🌮 You can find Mexican, Spanish, and other South American goods in the grocery store attached (+1 for frozen empanadas and arepas). Service here is very friendly. The menu is a bit in accurate, but it’s not a huge deal.
We just happened across this spot while walking down the street. It looked like a spot that lots of locals were popping into so we tried it. Absolutely delicious food, large portions and we were more than full by the end of it. The price was great for the amount of diverse foods you could get on one plate. There is a grocer attached with lots to browse. Huge selection of yerba mate to choose from. I would definitely recommend stopping in here. The rice pudding and sweets were particularly good to share after as well!
The flavors are awesome and authentic. Lots of Latin American products. A great discovery!
overated !
A place where Colombian food is well prepared. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. I recommend going by metro. It is not easy to find parking
Good Latin food
I like this access to the Latin world it is like being there, they should have all your Latin needs covered, plus restaurant on site. I have also realized that they have great meat here. Very skilled, butchers and beautiful cuts of meat for anything really.
Many Latin products is the ideal place
Its a very nice Latino grocery store and we have the chance to taste good Latino meals made on site, Venezuelan, Mexican, etc.
Definitely the best Latin place in Montreal to shop and eat the best empanadas, bread and arepas, it is a connection with our roots and not to mention the service, 10 out of 10
cold hard raw empanadas
Many great products from Latin America and super friendly staff.
Never disappointed!!
Disservice
I WILL NEVER EAT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I EAT IN THE RESTAURANT AND I GOT SICK TO MY STOMACH Dietary restrictions: Bad poor quality extremely greasy food
Good store, you can find good Latin products at a reasonable price.
GREAT PLACE, AMAZING PEOPLE AND DELICIOUS FOOD
delicious authentic Latino food with a good selection of soft drinks to boot. I am always confused about what language to speak though
That place is so good, fast & unexpensive that I stopped bringing lunches to work & eat there every week now. Highly recommand
The staff are friendly, but the food was quite the opposite. I ordered rice with beans and the rice was old. I ordered a mango juice that didnt taste like mango. It was my first time, and the truth is I wouldnt go back.
Great Latin food, very tasty and has a Latin supermarket on the side. Service is usually good, friendly. Well priced.
I took the vegetarian plate and 2 Empanadas Argentinas which I really enjoyed (ask for spicy sauce for the Empanadas, you won t regret it) on the other hand I wouldn t recommend taking the tamales, not the best.
A simple restaurant, but very good, the food has a good Latin flavor that makes you feel at home.
I definitely felt like the food was in Colombia deli.
Good prices and nice surprises! ¡Qué chido! As for the restaurant, generous portions at a low price and attentive service
The al pastor was delicious. It reminded me of my trip to Cozumel also try the Mexican cola its very good
excellent service from staff
In St-Laurent Latin flavor the food is super delicious and the service is excellent, everyone is super friendly and helpful. I am Ecuadorian and there I find chifles, festival cookies, mote, and various things to make my meals.
Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere
Excellent service and the best place to be a little close to delicious Latin food!!!!
Very good Latino food , homemade and good variety. Fresh and delicious. Of note, this place is an Annexation of the grocery store next door, so the the atmosphere is very crowded and very basic overall.
Magnificent all in one, good service, complete market, I recommend them
Proudly cooking for all SABOR LATINO customers!!!
The best restaurant and supermarket...
This place is such a gem. High quality Latin American bites. Portions are decent at a very reasonable price.
They sell the sodas without gas, dont waste your money 80% of the time they dont have gas.
I love shopping here! I am Native American and each time I go shop here they all speak to me in Spanish and I have no clue how to respond. Its all good. I love my Latino and Latina brothers and sisters from the south. Orale!
Good price-taste-quantity ratio wide variety of products
My go to latino food when I am in Montreal
Great authentic foods, and good variety
18/05/24 at 15:00PM 4387 Boul. Saint-Laurent The employees of the restaurant side gave me attitude(all womans) and when they talk to you they dont even look at you and ignore you most of the time. When I was ordering my food she gave me hard time to choose because her facial expressions of not want it to work. She didnt help me the whole time. Also they let clients waiting there and just ignore you until you let them know and they still gonna give you attitude. Also the chorizo is not good and they didnt cook it well. The utensils are not well clean too. I dont recommend to go to Boulevard Saint-Laurent but the one close to Jean-Talon if you want a good service.
Delicious !
I used to love shopping there, today was easily my worst experience. I work in customer service, and I am highly disappointed. I arrived, bought my things, got food, then got to the cash register. Two out of 3 registers going, the place is packed, I go to the least busy line up - with three things in my hand, 2 things for the guy in front of me. The guy tells me sorry Im done. His coworker next to him SWAMPED, with a line ending by the meat section, blocking the isle. I look at the line, leave my things and go. At home, i opened the food, started eating, it tasted 3 days old, I threw it out. Im disappointed UPDATE RESPONSE (no reply option): Jean Talon.
Good and clean service
Good portions.
It s pricey, but they ve got products from all around Latinamerica. The section where they serve you meals is pretty good, it has a seating area and good desserts to pick from..like a nice flan or a cold and tasty postre tres leches.
Yesterday I bought fry pork and pork in sauce. Sadly i found in home the was rotten to the point I couldnt eat it at all. I pay like 50 bucks for all of it wich is kinda expensive for this days. Strangely the girl who give me the food didnt fell the strong smell of rotten food and just proceeded to give it to me. Please if you think on buy prepared food in this place always smell everything beforehand home or eating, cause staff wont care about your health or canada health procedures.
The women who work here are very happy! The tres leche here is good and not like the other store in Saint Hubert.
The mondongo was not that good.
DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Honestly the best mexican restaurent i know in the area the chicken, the pork and the beef either in tacos, quesadillas or in plate are just wowww! The pico de gallo is out of this world and even the beans are amazing! Great staff and good churros
Argentine empanadas are very good, although in general they do not contain raisins. They are a variant of Argentine meat empanadas but it would be nice if they clarified in the description they have. Anyway, very rich. Above all, the mass
I would like to know what the concept is of putting so much onion and so much cipantro into everything for Gods sake! This place was good when the Colombian lady had it! Mexico has arrived and there it remains! Do yourself a favor and calm down with so much raw onion and cilantro wow!
Delicious food, very well reported and at affordable prices, very nice service and variety.
Super good food and super nice employées :)
yummy empanadas
Makes me feel like I m back in Panama with la familia te quiero sabor latino
If you are Latin you have to come, you get all the Latin products at a good price.
Yum guava paste candies
Very good, rich, juicy food, they serve good portions. My favorite restaurant in Montréal
cooked food too expensive, small portions , a rip off, what a shame
Good Mexican grocery store
Forgot to say that the empanadas i buyed where soaked in oil and had me and my wife going to the bathroom all day....
Food is fire!! Authentic, cafeteria style Latin American food (great fried plantain). I usually get heartburn but it s usually worth it
The food was so oily but still tasted good, I also highly recommend the passion fruit juice.
Very good food and at a good price
Excellent from the food to the attention, I recommend it to anyone. Thank you
My favorite store on the plateau! The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly! 2023 update: The market is just great now, they have a great assortment and the best of all is the butcher shop, the Mexican master butcher whose name I cant remember is an expert in his craft, the cecina is incredible and the sausage is excellent, every cut of meat It is precise and fresh, 10/10!!!
Smaller supermarket with extensive variety of products essential for Latin cuisine. Small meat counter with helpful staff. Fruit and vegetable offerings need more variety. On a recent visit, noticed improved offerings including a smarter, better presented and more visible meat counter. A pastry prep area is new for me. Sabor Latinos offerings also meet the needs of shoppers looking for varied, interesting, flavorful and generally well-priced foodstuffs and drinks. More to come...
The best option for Latin food. Chicharrones, yucas, tamales...
Best colombian I ve found in MTL so far
Colombian empanadas are very delicious!
Their staff is very friendly, I always find what Im looking for, sometimes some products are out of stock but why are they good?
Good food, good service. They speak Spanish and the supermarket sells a wide variety of Latin products.
There are arepas, pony Malta, chocorramo and even Colombian. Another day I have more time, I only brought some mecato. I really liked the place.
Amazing surprise to find walking past! They had many of the peppers and spices from South America that I could never find so I was buying online.
Avoid their restaurant section. It used to be good now their quality decreased. For example their cheese empanadas used to have lots of cheese now it s all crust and nothing inside. I paid 18$ for a small stale looking salad and some crust that they call empanadas. Worst spent money ever. Used to be a regular customer but never planning to return here again after this experience
so far the best place to eat latin food in town, it really makes you feel closer to home, and there is plenty of options to try, the prices are good, and the people in there are reaaaally kind
I am Colombian and on this site I find everything I could miss .
Good service
Wow, what a llittle gem. Aside from the Latin grocery store, they serve amazing food on the other side, and service was great. The empanadas are amazing. Kids loved them.
Excellent little place to taste comfort food from our lands, enjoy a sweet bread and shop for Latin products
The best buñelos and almojabanas I have tried in Montréal. Please never change that recipe.
Bought what I was told to be Columbian empanadas, but was awful. Served with a Mexican salsa. Picada was over cooked and was served to a Columbian, he said it was unedible. A waste of money !!!! DO NOT EAT HERE! Was for a birthday dinner, buy was ruined with poor quality . Afraid ti try tres leche
Magnificent!!
Excellent service! Makes you feel like family and there chicharon s are amazing 12/10 for me.
Columbian empanadas, plantain and chicharrón
This is a small Salvadorian restaurant with soul and heart. The food is perfect, the choice is great and the staff are all nice and, most importantly, they care. I went to Salvador before and it taste just like I remember.
Great still
I love the products they have and especially the malt
Wow absolutely delicious tacos, Al Pastor and Chorizo. There are countless other appetizing things to eat here, certainly will be back!
A perfect Colombian and Latin restaurant that also has the supermarket attached to it. The food is beyond delicious and the service is super friendly and hospitable. You can dine in or take out and the restaurant is very quick and on its feet. I had the spicy chicken quesadillas while my partner had rice, chicken, and fried yuca and it was as authentic as it could get ! Loved the food and the taste and so glad I discovered this gem of a place through recommendations. I am definitely coming back with family and friends and trying so many other things on the menu :)
Muy bueno! great for lunch, big servings, looking forward to my next visit.
I wanted a delicious empanada, I went to look for it and I think it was the most delicious I have ever eaten, very crunchy on the outside (corn pilao) and juicy on the inside. I also ordered a pavilion that was delicious. I congratulate you, there was a lot of freshness and a very rich seasoning in your food.
Hands down the best prepared foods and grocery items.
It is a store that has Latin products, specifically I found tortillas that in Mexico, cannot be missing among other things that I like
Everything is perfect in this restaurant, it s authentic family and you discover lots of flavors!
Excellent place, I really missed Latin food, it was really delicious, we ordered Colombian enchiladas and empanadas. 10/10 and the large burrito excellent. Next door the place has a supermarket with Latin things
Definition of good eating and the 3 Bs, good, nice and cheap. A hidden gem in Montreal for those of us who long for Latin American food. All dishes are abundant and delicious. Next to the bar they have a supermarket with Latin products.
I found everything I needed at that time, I was able to shop in peace, it was not overcrowded with people, but above all the staff on duty was very friendly, it felt like a good vibe!
Very good price. The service is very friendly and the takeaway food always tastes great. Edit: I came back today to get takeaway again. Thanks for being so warm and friendly. I really enjoy buying food here Also please bring back the pan de queso.
The staff was very friendly. Good place to find all latin products.
Super good service, I found green one that was almost ripe hahaha but they served for some good patacones, you will find things ready to eat like empanadas and on the other side the supermarket and Carniceria
Excellent variety, I wish there was one in Toronto, it is one of the best assortments I have seen, they have Venezuelan, Colombian, Mexican, Argentine and El Salvador products from what I could see
The food is delicious, the service is very friendly and the place smells amazing will be back.
Very expensive compared to the portions!!! No taste, I asked for an Arepa with cheese and Cetais just a white paw!!!!nothing to do with the restaurant in Montreal! plus the attention is very mediocre you would say we are asking for charity!!!
Excellent service, variety of Latin food, good prices
Delicious food and very friendly staff. A hidden gem for tourists.
I love the store, its variety and service. The only thing it needs is quesillo, better known as Oaxaca cheese and mole poblano pasta, that would be super luxurious, from there on out, you can find everything, I love the store
Amazing place! Really good food at very affordable prices in a great location. I take all montreal visitors here! A must see!
my fav spot in my neighbourhood I walk out happy & full every single time.
Love this place, food is amazing, friendly staff, great quantities and prices
20/10
Food with a lot of variety and delicious, very friendly people.
The store is very equipped with Hispanic products but the restaurant is expensive and the dishes are very small, the service is really good
Great selection of items, and fresh tasty food from the market restaurant
There are many latinamerican products available. It is a specialized middle size supermarket.
For a rice and some carnitas they charged us $48, thinking that they can trust people who dont give them the label of the Price of food, be more careful if we were scammed
Fantastic pupusas, tacos, empanadas, everything I ve tried has been fantastic. Service in three languages, too. Never know if I should order in Spanish, French, or English lol. Very nice staff and extremely reasonable prices.
Simple but delicious!! Lots of traditional Latino lunch variety
Delicious colombian food!
Best latin grocery store hands down Food on the restaurant side is amazing and affordable too
Amazing place. Its divided in 2 parts. The Pret-a-porter section with tons of great food ready to go, and the market with everything Ive been looking for in other markets. All there at great prices, PLUS a brilliant meat section.
Super delicious
Delicious food
You enter a place where the owner (Veronica) and staff (Diego) treat you like familia. Great food, great service and great value. What more can you ask for!!!
The attention was good considering that there were a lot of people, but for the volume of people there are few places to eat and the tables were dirty full of food leftovers from customers who did not have the kindness to collect their leftovers and None of the staff did either. The dish that my husband ordered for me was a chicken in sauce with fried yucca and baked plantain, everything was delicious except the chicken whose flavor was too subtle and did not stand out at all, passion fruit elujogo was delicious, and the bathroom was clean even when We waited a long time outside since the door was closed and nobody answered. It turns out that the door was stuck.
Amazing food for such a good price
Stop everything and go eat here now!
Hands down the best place to eat latino food in Montreal!
I was blown away by the food, so delicious! I will definitely return.
Great place with good products, the staff is friendly.
tasty, big portions, friendly service!
Excellent service, I loved the food, it tastes like its name, super recommended!
The best place in town for latino food and products. They offer a wide variety of food from Colombia and all over latin America. As a HonduranI think the pupusas there were very authentic. Vegetarian options: There are at least 2 or 3 dishes for vegetarians.
Excellent food! I highly recommend it!
Everything is delicious, I love this branch I recommend it 100,000%
My place to go for chicharron and other delicious things.
Excellent place, the food and Diegos attention are very good. Recommended for quality and price.
Excellent service, unique flavor and it was worth coming! The arepas are DELICIOUS Diego served us, a loving person. The quality and price are unique MORE THAN RECOMMENDED!
Theyre my fav, they serve nice portion but they have diminished their portion(a little) and upped their price, but I still love them. The people serving you, are always so welcoming and friendly, theyre paired up with a grocery store with lots of variety. They have some real good snacks. I dont know how traditional their tres leches are, Im not latino, but if i had to only eat one thing for the rest of my life I would choose their Tres leches . Its so good light, airy, moist and so much cinnamon Also its technically not theirs but there is a small place with place to sit and some art, its like a mini park with lots of shade (lots of pigeons too )so you can eat out and its close by. I personally prefer this location, but the St-hubert one is basically the same but bigger, the vibe on St-lau is just better. Their spicy sauce is super flavorful, I got no spice tolerance but they got a very mild version and some much more spicier, but all of them are tasty, not just spicy. Also forgot to add they can serve you in French, English, and Spanish, so thats the best of Mtl. Vegetarian options: Theres lots of rice variety, they got the fried bananas (kind of like haitian), and the sweet ones, their salads are super good and you can choose to not eat the meat, but that would be a shame its so tasty, also their spicy sauce is super flavorful.
The restaurants food is DELICIOUS. The only but, the sauce is not spicy or spicy.
I loved it, great staff, they were all so kind. Chicharron en salsa verde
its an affordable mexican grocery store, smells good, lot of flavors, people are friendly and humble, you can find most of latino snacks and ingredients like tacos or tortillas beans, chilies, hot sauces, pupusas, chipotle .. beside they have a little restaurant of course the food is tasty and delicioso, loved it and for sure recommand it
Delicious Latin food.
I love this store. But as a suggestion, please make the butcher shop wear gloves or at least wash their hands when serving the jerky. The first time a young lady served me and the second time it was a man who was previously arranging merchandise in the store and he served me the meat without washing his hands first.
Simple place, few tables. Delicious food, friendly staff. a wide variety of dishes. You can choose to have lunch or just grab a quick snack. Note: There is also a good variety of desserts.
The supermarket has a very good products. The employees are very friendly.
Just what I need! Excellent prices, especially for the spices. Friendly staff too! I had access to latin stores like this in Colorado and didnt expect to find anything like this in Montreal, let alone something that is this affordable. I am so happy to have found this place and will be returning!
Delicious! One of my favourite place in Montreal. The colombian tamale was really tasty. Loved the fried empanadas.
Great selection of fast and delicious food. Their empenadas and their manioc balls are fantastic.
I ordered the veggie plate (#12) and it was delicious! They were out of one of the items so they gave me extra plantain as a substitute. So yummy! Quick and friendly service, they were happy to offer suggestions about what to get. Thank you!
Incredibly delicious!! You can tell as soon as you walk in because it smells so good! And the staff is all really super nice! Photo is my partner s order, rice and beans with chicken and salad, very filling. I had the pupusas with salad and some medium spicy green sauce and it was super delicious. Pupusas by themselves are a very filling meal. Prices are good. Will be returning often to try more things!
Number 1 service as always! Everyone is very attentive and helpful, both at the feeder and in the market
Excellent products, very good quality and they also have great service.
I ve been coming here since I was a kid, the expansion & product selection in the supermarket is great y todos los empleados son muy amables! The best out of the two locations in terms of cooked meals, honestly.
I had been here once before and my experience was okay. But this past time it was not that great, they sold us a tres leches that tasted spoiled. I would be concerned on how long they have some of their pastries in display. Very disappointing
