Great lebanese restaurant with nice twist . We ordered Moussaka, Kebbe , feuilles de Vigne , Hummus and Arez Sanduish ! Very nice spot and the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing . The sanduish was the highlight of the food , and we ordered after eating a cup of Tea-Anise
We had the keebes and the Omnivore dish (it serves 2 persons pretty well). All were excellent!!! Such a nice and calm atmosphere, the service was pretty good and the waiter even spoke our language (Portuguese)!!! Price was ok for 2 (7$ for 2 keebes and 29$ for the omnivore) Definitely recommend.
Overall, I've enjoyed the food very much in Montreal. This meal was really what I was craving. Both the chicken and beef were perfect to me, just the right texture, seasoning, and juiciness. The spicy garlic sauce makes a great compliment to both meats. The fattouche salad was a perfect tangy contrast to the savory and spicy of everything else. The lentil rice was good, with more than a hint of fennel. The hummus definitely tasted house made fresh and yummy, the only negative for me is a personal taste: one of the two hummus flavors had a chipotle taste.. I do not enjoy chipotle at all. I had to add a second picture once I discovered the little nest of pickled cabbage hidden on my plate.. it has such a vibrant color and such a unique flavor: a salty, vinegary tang that was such a good contrast to everything else on the plate. Highly recommend this place.
Food was good but nothing really impressed me. We ordered the carnivore plate to share as we weren’t very hungry. It was a good portion for 2 if you’re moderately hungry. The beef and chicken kaftas had good flavour but on the drier side.
Not too impressed specially after being recommended from my friend and a high google review. It wasn’t much busy, the cooling inside the resto is weak, so we were feeling hot all the time . Service is average , they forgot our drink - presentation is average. Appetizer were good though.Forget to take pictures only few. I believe that their sandwiches are good, had 2. One was good and the other samak was not tasty at all, you couldn’t taste the fish. The main dish portion size was good , however thr taste has to be improved. I found it on the expensive side for thr dishes we ate. I loved the wine leaves and the batata harra- thr kafta was good but not wow
Really nice restaurant with generous portions. We were great by a very kind server. We had the omnivore plate which has a great mix of everything and the sandwich combo. The hommos was very good and the fatoush was in my opinion the best!!!! Thank you for a great meal!
Tasty food, with quality ingredients. A bit expensive for what it is, but worth it. The omnivore plate is pretty filling. If you take the sandwich only, you might want to add a side. If not, you can choose two sandwiches if you have a big appetite (I could only eat 1.5). Tried the beirut and inca - beirut was good, on the drier side while the inca was on the sweeter side. Nice healthy option!
Pretty great spot for some flavourful Lebanese food. The hummus is very good and the fattouche is well spiced. The chicken was a little bit overcooked but not too bad still. The omnivore platter is pretty good value.
Very average Humus from Costco Baba from Adonis Decent salads and meat Defiantly not 4.7 stars that is advertised Good place to get something on the go but not for a sit down
Great restaurant! Choice, quality, kindness! At the top!
Good Lebanese restaurant, I found the service very cold, like the temperature of the room. The map is not clear. Desserts are not on the menu (they are next to the cash register and there is no price indicated).
It was really good !
This was such a good Lebanese place. Best hummus I ve ever tried. Of note they do give a lot for an appetizer so it s very shareable. My friends got the wraps and they were delish. Highly recommend.
Delicious food!
Beautiful and quiet place with delicious Lebanese dishes and impeccable service.
The fish sandwich is my favorite
Loved the place and the food, lots of really good vegetarian and vegan options.
Delicious food and great service Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs needed Food : 5/5 |
Visiting Montreal for the week. Found this place by chance. Was very impressed. Great service. Food was very flavourful and fresh. Wonderful service and ambiance. Ordered the Carnivore to share. Highly recommend!
Good Lebanese on the go. Great variety of sandwiches. The terrace for sitting is pleasant.
Potatoes with garlic sauce
Endless wait for the kitchen. Cooking on his phone while he cooks...
Top Lebanese cuisine
Authentic Lebanese food with friendly service and great location
Ok this really pains me cause this is one of my favorite restaurants. But over the years, their portions have gotten incredibly small for take out, and the meat very dry. I was still hungry after a full plate meal and that was pretty unusual. Half the plate was quite literally the garlic sauce and hummus, and the other half was salad/rice/meat squeezed into the container. Maybe the container they use needs to be revisited, cause with the circle aluminum ones, I always felt satisfied and (so sorry to say this) not ripped off.
I d come here once a week if I lived in Montreal! Vegetarian options: Tons of great vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free and found plenty to eat. Kid-friendliness: My three year old liked the hummus.
Food was great, staff friendly. Would come again!
A real gem on the set. Good food at a reasonable price. Vegetarian options: Lots of variety
Very good and fresh, good welcome and friendly atmosphere
You have to try the Djaj to understand. Otherwise you will never know
Good fresh food but a small menu. Limited for vegan/vegetarians. The service wasnt great, some tables were privies with drinking water bit we had to ask for its. The menu said all sandwiches have a vegetarian option but that was not the case.
Sandwiches were decent, salads were mediocre and the babaganoush was very good. However, our entire was messed up. We got home to find that the potatoes for one of our combos was missing. It wasn t worth the effort to go back. Very disappointing. In addition, our sandwiches were labeled wrong so we started to eat each other s and then noticed they weren t right.
Excellent!
Too good. Djaj is the best
I have never tried the St Laurent branch, but I have tried the St Denis one and really liked the food at Omnivon. However, in this review I will not mention the food or the service, but I will mention it from a delivery persons perspective. I went to pick up an order at St Laurent for delivery and I was really disappointed with the attitude of the cashier there (hes the manager or the owner I think). He treated me in a condescending manner, as if he were my superior, and this made me lack respect and above all it is not the first time that I encountered this situation at Omnivon St Laurent. Indeed, I should have given you 1 star, but luckily your employees were very nice to me when I was there to pick up an order for delivery, so I gave the restaurant 3 stars. Give them to your employees! I am writing this review not for the purpose of discrediting the restaurant, but to raise awareness and improve it, as well as to warn other delivery people about this incident. THANKS
Friendly service, delicious food, nice terrace. Waitress took us through menu and made useful recommendations. Recommended dishes
I absolutely love this place! I ve been numerous times and have never been disappointed. Most recently, I have a newer menu item: chicken Cesar wrap. FANTASTIC is all I have to say. The quality of their ingredients is present. The way they do a slight fusion on their Lebanese dishes, I m in love! I also would recommend their orzo salad & Djaj sandwich! The ambiance is funky, definitely a casual one. The staff is always generous and present.
Delicious, very well served.. Thank you Delicious
Ordered a Carnivore plate. Just replaced the chicken kofta with chicken taouk. The kofta and taouk are tender and very tasty. Served with a side plate of fattoush, hummus/garlic dips and rice. The portion of the side dish is a bit small. I like this resto and recommend it
The food was okay/good. I got a combo with a chicken wrap, a salad, and a lemonade. The salad tasted of too much vinegar but it was still okay. I got charged $3 for hot sauce on my bill but I was not informed of this fee when I asked.
A big crush. Freshness and flavor are there. The chicken is incredibly tender when cooked on the grill and what about the orzo salad Wow.
One of the best Lebanese restaurants in Montreal. Highly recommend it.
This place sucks
Some of the best beef ive ever tasted
Food was delicious. We split many mezzes. Great for vegetarians and non alike. Services was attentive and great. Would come back
Awesome Lebanese food. Super friendly service. Nice music. Three of us shared a Carnivore plate with chicken and beef kabobs, hummus, babaganoush, garlic sauce, delicious rice, and a nice green salad. For dessert we shared the house made namoura and maamoul with tea. We loved this place! Will definitely be back.
A nice restaurant with many great options. The service is fantastic and so is the ambience. They have both indoor & outdoor seating. One interesting thing to note: what they call sandwich is essentially a wrap per American nomenclature.
Delicious ! Everything was good! Price quality
Very nice place on Saint Laurent with a nice terrace. The sandwiches we had were very good and tasty, however, unfortunately, too small for the price paid. We were still hungry afterwards, for the same price you get more food elsewhere. A little bit of a pity because otherwise it s a cute place. Dietary restrictions: Sans gluten
MMhm yummy! Allows dogs on patios so honestly deserves 5 stars just for that. Love the dog love <3
Amazing food, generous portions, and great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters!
Nice restaurant Staff are friendly food taste and quantity was perfect with an affordable price Food
We tried it with friends, the service was Amazing, the food 200/100 sooo delicious and fresh recommended 100%, we will go again soon.
Amazing food and place!
Really cute and unassuming spot we happened upon - and the food was superb! Their rosé (Gris) was really great as well. I took my vegan friend there and she had many options to choose from and they took great care of us. I ate carnivore and had both the chicken and beef and they were both super tender and very tasty. All salads and dips were fantastic and super fresh. Highly recommend! Sad I didn t take any photos - but the presentations were all pretty too - no frills, great eats. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian and vegan options Dietary restrictions: Can easily go gluten free or vegan.
Not exactly sure what happened here. Waiter told us the wait for the patio would be long even though there were empty tables. We were moved outside and the waiter ignored us. Seated a couple next to us, took their order, brought their food, checked on their water etc several times without even acknowledging us. After about 20 minutes a bus person took our order. Still didnt get any food. We werent rude or anything.... Ive never had anything like that happen to me before.
Thats a cute restaurant. The sandwich was good, and the spicy sauce with the potatot was spicy. Theres a lot of vegan options. You can replace any meat with tofu or with végé paté and without extra fees. You must take something with the sandwich, otherwise the meal will be too small. We wait a little to receive the invoice, but overall, its a great restaurant Its not a coup de coeur, but it was good. Also, if you eat outside, they allow dogs, and they can bring them a bowl of water.
Food awesome Ambience awesome Staff awesome Food : 5/5
Some of the tastiest sandwiches Ive ever tried. Love everything about this place: the food, the ambiance, the friendly staff!
The food was delicious and very affordable. Really great spot for a nice meal with a good patio and good food. The potatoes and the fattouche were particularly delicious!
Very warm welcome and delicious food. Very good address for lovers of Lebanese cuisine.
June 20, 24, Clear improvement in the atmosphere, new welcoming decor and clean toilets. Very good meal, indisputable. *** Only detail, no air conditioning *** Please resolve this fairly quickly, not just for customers. 2 years ago I can certify that the plates ordered are the most authentic Lebanese dishes at Plateau Montroyal. Crispy fatouche salad, juicy meat, tasteful moussaka. Pleasant service. I go back and recommend trying. p.s. Decent toilets.
Very delicious food, large portions, excellent service.
Small portion but great taste
Absolutely amazing experience. Perfect mount of food on a single plate, but contains so many different and delicious flavors.
The best Lebanese grill The tawouk sandwich is amazing(Djaj) I enjoyed every meal and everytime i pass by the taste is even better than the time before Very professional Charming atmosphere Extremely nice stuff and overall an astonishing taste in each sandwich The only bad thing is that they close early
Well priced and they make very good sandwiches. We also tried the babaganouj and we loved it! Highly recommend it!
Great Lebanese/Middle Eastern food with creative mezes and wraps. Vegetarian options: There are many. Food : 5/5 |
the best food i have had in canada!!! a must when in montreal! lebanese cuisine at its best. the omnivore plate and babaghanouj are exceptional!
I give one star for the service for an order on site where half was missing, no utensils for salads, not great service and when we came back to pick up the other half of the order no apology, the manager just ignored the complaint! Disappointing
An amazing place to enjoy delicious, fresh Lebanese food in an absolutely adorable setting. Lots of plants, natural light, and the staff was so kind and helpful. The food was exquisite and fairly priced! Will definitely be coming back
Very nice with reasonable prices.
Delish! The salad and hummus and really everything was yummy.
Fantastic food in a cute little restaurant. Great service, nice people. Everything was just right and the portions were huge!
Amazing and delicious
I saw the girl who made the meal spit on a plate... Im never going to return the...
An employee spat in a dish.. I witnessed it, really disappointed, I wont go back there again.
I love the food at this place, the quality and price are wonderful and a big thank you to Josefina who is always smiling and gives great service
The staff is always helpful and kind and the food is fresh filing and nourishing! Thanks for being a staple in our city :)
We ordered take out, the meat plate and the veggie plate. They are so good, definitely coming back
Good food and nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended
I loved this restaurant. Super nice atmosphere, we can chat in peace, fresh and very good food! Gluten-free option. I recommend!
The best, I love this place
I had a very pleasant experience dining at this place. It was easily accessible on the Saint Laurent Street. The restaurant is spacious and the interior is really nice specially the street facing corner with different plants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they served us very quickly. The food was very tasty and I really recommend to try their fries. The djaj is great even though it s not the authentic lebanese way. Would definitely visit again!
Delicious meal and authentic taste. Very fresh food. Very nice experience and nice servers.
Excellent service and excellent food!
AMAZING place, I loved every single thing in this restaurant. Great food, service and price, I really recommend. We had the hummus, Kibeh, the soup and some different plates. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food available on the menu
Regular customer thanks to Uber Recent tests of the Samac Sandwich (fish and cabbage) thanks to food shots In my humble opinion, it is not really suitable in sandwich form, much more in pure fish & chip form I dont know if this is the basic recipe but there was a bit too much sauce so that I felt like I was just eating a pita with cabbage and sauce 3.0/5 I took the other usual stuff... vine leaves, tabbouleh, nothing to say... excellent
Loved this place - fresh hot ingredients, perfect for a winter day. My husband said it reminded him of the tasty sandwich wraps he ate in Beirut as a child
Everything was delicious thank you to all the team Good year !
Lebanese food, fantastic
One of my heroes of the pandemic, Omnivore on St-Laurent, we go there regularly, always very good, its a bit like Boustan 20 years ago before it became a soulless chain. I recommend Beirut for a first visit, it is one of their biggest sellers, always a good taste of charcoal, fresh ingredients, you can taste it. Welcoming, kind and friendly staff, they are very efficient in the kitchen, even if there are a lot of people, the orders keep up. Beautiful bright, clean and vegetal dining room. Other suggestions: Roma, Inca and also Thai are all very good. P.S.: please leave a if this review was useful to you in your research, thank you
Ordered delivery which I m always hesitant on because most spots aren t responsible for how fresh you get your food which I get. This all came fresh in my experience and as delicious as dine in felt like authentic Levantine food!
Great experience in all Vegetarian options: Great variety Food : 5/5 |
I would not recommend dining in at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow and poor. We had to ask for plates and Utensils, some of which were dirty. The table was dirty when we sat down, the waiters did not come by to check in or refill the waters at all. Thankfully the food was good. But unfortunately the service was horrible. I wouldnt recommend it and if you have to eat here, do take out.
We placed an order for catering for around forty people. It was delicious and we had great customer service
Manolo a dead
Excellent and tasty sandwich. The salad is just as much. Generous portion. Good value for money. Fresh and quality food. The garlic sauce is delicious. I highly recommend!!
Excellent service! And what about the freshness of everything served there? I loved the Inca and I also tasted the Beirut, it was a pure delight See you next time without a doubt!
Service is 10/10. The food is amazing. Affortable option. I recommend 100%
Delicious food
Delicious!!
I brought my family here while visiting Montreal, we enjoyed the Omnivore plate with chicken, the beef kebbe was nice too!
Great place but its sometimes a slow one. Good original and super tasty pitas. My favorite take-out place. Call before coming, it will be quicker.
Delicious food!
To recommend...very charming, No.1 cleanliness and very healthy quality/price dishes.
The carnivore plate is the best
Excellent! The food is phenomenal. GO! You will not be disappointed.
A treat!
Always great food and service. Not my first visit and Ill keep coming back. Thanks!!
Very warm welcome, very good service, and very good food! We had a chicken sandwich which was really delicious, New, really a good experience in this new discovery, and we will definitely return!
Amazing food!
Very friendly and great value for money
Food was good. However theres a short red haired girl (shorter in stature and a ballcap) with a nose ring there that is super rude. I was very friendly with her and she just seemed miserable and like her frumpy self thought she was cool. Watched her be rude to many other guests too. Feel bad for her. Super expensive for small portions sizes.
Their potatoes (or patatis as they called them) are out of this world. Service was quick and friendly
So good and so fresh. Had to come back again during our short stay in Montreal.
Excellent and original
I ve only eaten there once and every time I wonder what to eat, this place comes to mind. The spicy batatas are to die for and djaj satisfied a craving I didn t know I had. Couldn t recommend this place more. 10/10 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options for everything.
I didn t try the desserts, but it looked nice to be having different teas with homemade cookies after supper. Everything else was good. Budget or diet tip: Two could also share the omnivore plate (maybe with one of the starters).
Very good Lebanese cuisine, beautiful little terrace! Everything is very good and well presented. Unfortunately the service is unacceptable and spoils the experience. Really too bad the food is great.
The food here was SO GOOD! Highly highly highly recommend. The menu is pretty simple which I loved, but still with a good amount of variety. I got the Carnivore dish, and it was incredible. Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for meat and vegetarian dishes. They happily accommodated my request for gluten-free and dairy-free.
I liked my experience at this restaurant. The interior seemed well appointed, but we were on the terrace. The restaurant is located in the heart of the plateau which makes it easily accessible. There are several meal options, many of which are meat-free. The portions were good, particularly the potatoes which were succulent and with a generous portion. As for the service, it was fast and courteous. I will definitely return there the next time I am in this corner of Saint-Laurent Boulevard.
It was excellent and very filling!
Our first Lebanese restaurant experience was made wonderful by tasty fresh food and an extremely helpful server.
Very good, but beer too expensive for comparable places.
Awesome food,,, mix of flavors
Great! For lunch go when the open to beat the crowd. Loved the potatoes with the garlic sauce and the carrot kale salad. Chicken was tender and great flavor.
It was a mild evening so we ate on the terrasse...service was very good...the waiters very friendly and professional. The sandwich wraps and battatas were incredible...
Great service and food; healthy portions and tasted fresh. Nice atmosphere (plants and music and big window).
Great vegan sandwich. Very flavorful
The food was excellent! Quick good service. Cute atmosphere and design. The kebbe végé was amazing!
I had there tikka wrap and tabbouli. Very good if you re looking for something quick and inexpensive.
Food is generally really good there. (Mouhamara is too oily though). Unfortunately bad experience with the catering. Among other things, I ordered 35 fattouche portions and received maybe for max 15-20 portions. I did not notice on the spot when I picked it up or else I would have made a comment or asked for a reimboursement on the spot. Contacted them after and told me they would give me a credit for 10 portions but only if I make another order of minimum 150$. I am used to their individual portions and what I received was maybe good enough for a bite of salad.
Just purchased food after a client meeting. Love the Montreal culinary diversity.
My favourite Lebanese in town! Anything we ordered was good and they have affordable prices.
Everything is very good
Great place for a Mediterranean bite, I highly recommend the Djaj sandwich with their Batata (fried potatoes). I give them a 5 star rating
Fast food place with a Terrace in the summer. The sandwiches are very good and so are the battata ( spicy potatoes ) . Good service and they serve different local brewed beers. Verdict : give it a try.
Easily the best sandwiches and salads in Montreal and beyond Healthiest, most fresh, and most colourful. Lots of choices, and made with passion Lovely down to earth cheerful ambiance too..
Good and fast service, but more than $12 (after taxes) for a sandwich the size of a hot dog is ridiculous.
Nice place and a great food.
Clean, quality ingredients
Great and well served Lebanese food in Montreal, Canada
We have visited this Omnivore which is a vegetarian restaurant and the taste was absolutely amazing. I have ordered 2 rolls which is Thai and Khadro and chose to add tofu in it. The taste was incredible. Definitely a good place in Montreal for a vegetarian restaurant.
Very good restaurant; great service and affordable price for the enormous plates they serve! I took the 5 options herbivore plate (i took all vegan options; many to choose from) and it never disappoints! Shoutout to Rawad for the quick and friendly service! :) Vegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian options to choose from :) salads, potatoes, hummus, etc.
Friendly waitress but who explains poorly... marked bread but thats not it, its like a taco salad with more green salad than other sides In short, I do not recommend!
Simply one of the best places in town! The food always tastes fresh, delicious and special. My favourite is the omnivore plate. I could eat it every week :)
Nice! The sandwiches are a funny small pita roll, tasty but not large (reflected in the price though). Generous servings otherwise, a bit large for lunch even and both size and price could have gone down slightly
Best fattoush in Montreal. The chicken, sandwiches and plates are great. Not oily, very fresh. Highly recommend.
Incredible food and a menu that caters to all. The atomosphere, service, menu options, food and ingredient quality - I honestly dont know what impressed me the most. Everything was prepared to perfection. We visited Montreal for 3 days and of the many restaurants we went to this is perhaps the only one we really want to return to. If you are in the area and like any Mediterranean food you should stop by!
SIMPLY WONDERFUL! Simple Lebanese food, well made, tasty and at a good price! We ordered 2 combos of beirut + potatoes/fatoush + lemonade and a portion of kibbeh on the side! For anyone who grew up in a city with a Lebanese influence, this meal was heart-warming! I highly recommend it! Ill be back soon!
All the food was absolutely incredible. Loved the house lemonade!
Great taste, i went there with my friends, we ate Djaj and the taste was super nice. The people inside are friendly as well as the owners. Average 13 ca per person.
Wow wow wow! Just the vibe, the food, the customer service is amazing! Remove the rest but just for the food i would come here once a week Food : 5/5
Disrespectful staff I really advise you to avoid this gastronomic disaster.
Very relaxed atmosphere, great service and yummy food! Go with friends!
Nice place, good service, excelent food.
Really vibrant restaurent and great atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday for lunch and it was full of people, with a ton more going in and out for takeout. Because of this the wait staff was understandably overwhelmed but still very nice, although service did suffer from the rush (forgot our drinks, and some back and forth to get service, but always very courteous). Food was good and decently priced. For 5 people with drinks it cost us 150$ before tax. Portions are also huge if you get one of the plates (I got the carnivore plate and there was a ton left over). Overall would go back!
