Persian/Iranian Restaurant, Kebab Sara
Good food, good portion & lovely waitress she is so kind & decent. Did not like the place soooo small.
Very authentic family owned cuisine with great food and service
The food was perfect! Everything was fresh and delicious. Thank you for a great meal!
The restaurant is Persian, it is small, but cozy and very beautiful. You can see some pictures from Iranian culture. The food is excellent! I will visit this store again and again and again. I love the koobide and barge kabab from this store.. they are very delicious and very great representative of Persian food. Unlike other Persian restaurants, the price is very reasonable considering the food quality and quantity. The food served with salad or soup, some herbs, onions, Persian tahdig, grilled tomatos. The soup is mostly Aash reshte, that is very delicious. I also love the salad and the sauce. The food is very fresh. And like a big meal that you can eat the leftover later( even the leftover is very delicious after a day). I forgot to take a photo of the soup and salad as they were so delicious and we had. Also on the service, they serve Persian tea that is perfect, OMG! I love this store and visit again and again. Thank you for the lovely food!koobideh kabab is even cheaper only for $17.
Small rustic restaurant run by family. The service is very good. Amazing food kobideh and chicken and crispy rice on a side dish. The is display was awesome. Good experience. Recommended
The grilled platter is sooooooooo good so so so GOOD. Even though i didn’t dine in and it took me while to get home but the meat was not hard it was still juicy when i ate it . I cant wait to try the other non grilled dishes. I love how they made the Take away experience so pleasant by providing all the condiments including butter for the rice and sumac. I got the irresistible platter, that contains three different grilled type of meat
We ordered the Hunter's Platter, which included both an appetizer and a main course for two people. The flavors were incredible, and the price was reasonable and the portions were more than generous.
This was the second I eat from Maison Du Kebab. The food is just top notch. The different dishes are immersed in different flavours and the rice is cooked perfectly. It feels like a family restaurant with the up close personal service. The tea seems to be made with jasmine because the taste and the smell is very distinctive. I recommend.
The food is amazing, the taste is authentic. The portion is great and the owner and all the people are so nice and kind. We always recommend to our family and friends. Great job guys, keep up the awesome work
Everything was great! The food was incredibly delicious and affordable! Also, many thanks to the friendly staff
The best kebab restaurant in Montreal. It feels like home cooking. Vegetarian options: They have good choices. Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility
We ordered online with doordash and they were delivered on-time. Came with garnishes, salad and Ash-e-reshte. Tahdig was crispy, and the food was great Will definitely order again Food : 4/5
Poor experience regarding both service and food :(
Bad and unfair behavior of management with employees
It is the best restaurant that I tried
A good price-performance ratio
Before any thing else if you are looking for a fancy restaurant it s not, its small restaurant with old furniture. The food tastes was good i like their yoghurt with shallot it was really tasty. The kobide kebab was fine and if you order full rice you can enjoy the « tahdig » . The price is much more reasonable than other Persian restaurants. The most amazing thing was the lady who works there, she was very friendly, nice and had a good service, i really enjoyed ( we went there at the last hour of their working hours but she still had smile and was too welcoming and cared about every single things.) . For sure i will come back there soon and i recommend this restaurant to others.
One of the best restaurants in Montreal
Rude and aggressive staff Terrible service The worst business and restaurant Rude and aggressive staff, terrible service, the worst business and restaurant
Retried it and food got improved , the koobideh was amazing , gormeh was good.but can improve also .
Zero , the quality of food zero. We ordered baghali polo with mahicheh with soltani and Terio. Ba Ghali polo was so salty had a bit of dill with small mahicheh very dry . No sauce of the meet . Soltani rice was half of the plate the quality of kabab not so great. Very disappointed.
We had a great experience here. The food was tasty and of great quality, and the people were very nice and friendly. Highly recommended
Quaint little place. Respectful staff. Food is great and the tea is unmatched.
I don t recommend this place, the owner forcefully demanded us service charge in cash. Which upon asking that what is a service charge , we were told it is actually tip and it is minimum at least 15% or any amount above 15% in cash . We always tip at the restaurants but it is customary, and should go to waiters/servers. Resturant isn t supposed to force customers to pay service charge.
Great restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The food and staff is very genuine and gives true persian vibes.
Everything was great
very cozy and friendly place. The food was like homemade and tasted delicious. Try it if you are a fan of Persian cuisine
Feels like you are invited the a family members home and they are hosting you at their cozy little warm and kind home
Incredibly tasty and fresh, even on delivery!
I have been to this place several times. Wonderful service and nice staff.
Best iranian restaurant in Montreal
Highly recommended
This place is the best kebab house in Montreal . I have tried many. They have the best food and an excellent service. All plates are so delicious and carefully prepared . They are excellent!
Very nice and cosy restaurant ,good portion and good service
Food is amazing, home-made quality. Had kebab kobidieh and went for mirza ghassemi as an appetizer. It was to die for. Not much of an atmosphere, the owner/manager was on a call on a teble next to us and was extremely loud. After she was done the conversation picked up with the server, same volume. That said, the server, after grabbing their attention, was very polite and nice. Food is great so I would pick up food from here on my next visit for sure! .
We drive 1 hours and half from laval for this place. Highly recommended for those people who love Persian food in Montreal.
They shrunk the sides and some of the quantities in their dishes without changing the prices, Id be more understanding of readjusting the prices if theyre no longer covering costs, but ordering something youre accustomed to only to find out youre now getting less is unpleasant. Wheelchair accessibility: Isnt wheelchair friendly
Animal abuse: two goldfish in a flower vase, the fish even move :(
Good authentic food but a bit pricey. Small restaurant.
My friend has raved about this place for some time and has brought several visiting friends and family. I am the latest. Well worth the wait. Every bite of this hunter platter has been a joy.
I adore this restaurant and always the quality of food each time the same.I highly recommend it. try crazy chicken with bone .
just a wonderful cozy persian restaurant. service and food exceptional. highly recommend!
Tiny place, great kabobs, service with a smile. The gormeh szabsi was a little too bitter, but well come back, no doubt!
Very rude staff, especially the women who works at the cash. She was brushing her hair while our food was waiting at the kitchen counter for her to bring it to us. I strongly suggest the owner gets rid of her or else you will continue to lose clients like us for life.
It was an affordable restaurant but not anymore. The quality of the food has significantly changed compared to past years.
I ve tried plenty of Persian restaurants around the city, but this place tops all of them. Very small setting, but they will reserve the seats if you call in advance! What stands out for me is their crispy rice they add on top! Meat is very tender & juicy! Their soup appetizer is different from the rest of Persian restaurants! Their chelo options is at a better price then the other restaurants offering this dish! Always friendly staff.
The food and service excellent
Delicious Persian food and tea and cozy ambience
Im truly speechless; I love this restaurant! The food is excellent. However, I discovered a staple in the soup I ordered today, which can pose a significant health risk.
I love the Iranian food served in this restaurant especially the lamb
My favorite spot for years. Everything is delicious accompanied by a good tea. My must-have is their soup to have even in summer. The service is impeccable with very friendly and attentive staff. Take a tour...
One of the delicious Iranian restaurants in Montreal highly recommended
Friendly staff. Great food. Lovely little place
Today my family and I went to the kebabsara restaurant at Ils des Sources branch, the polite and professional behavior, elegant and clean environment were very evident there.
Was a surprise to me
Inappropriate space. There was also plastic inside our vegetable soup
Amazing
My friend and I ordered Kubideh kebabs served with fragrant rice, soup, salad, a mint and cucumber yogurt, pita breads and some kind of potato salad. Everything was very good, very tasty. Our server seemed shy, but he was polite and prompt. The atmosphere is special because its very small (around 20 seats) and they play Middle Eastern music. I really liked the very authentic side of the cuisine and the atmosphere. Plus it didnt cost us much and there was still some left over!! The only negative points: the bathroom is NOT heated in any way, it feels like youre outside while peeing, frankly... In the middle of winter its not great. In addition, we found out when we received the invoice that they only take cash payment........ Welcome to 2017 However, I will definitely return.
The cook is from Bangladesh and the food was not made Persian . Chickens were uncooked and the rice smells terrible ( like it was made in garbage water ) . Did not eat the food at all. Masto mo sir ( yogurt ) was disgusting the servant was nice and very respectful however the food was terrible .. do not try to even try the food .. worst Persian food experience
If youre looking for a truly authentic Persian dining experience, look no further than this restaurant. From the moment you step through the doors, youll be transported to a world of exotic flavors and aromas that will tantalize your taste buds. The menu features a wide range of classic Persian dishes, each one prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. Whether youre in the mood for succulent kebabs, fluffy saffron rice, or savory stews, youre sure to find something that will satisfy your cravings. One of the highlights of the menu is the grilled meat platter, which features a selection of juicy lamb (koobideh), beef (Barg), and chicken kebabs (jugeh kabab), all served with a side of fluffy rice and grilled vegetables. Another standout dish is the classic Persian stew, which is bursting with the flavors of aromatic spices and tender chunks of meat. But its not just the food that makes this restaurant a must-visit destination. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with cozy seating areas and soft lighting that create the perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have about the menu. And the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. Overall, if youre looking for a Persian restaurant that offers delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!
Delicious food, good service, clean and nice restaurant. Thank you Maison du Kebab
Great quality, great prices, it s my favourite Persian restaurant. Definitely will go more.
For family of three dinner time. The servant was nice and very respectful. The food decorated are good and look like Iranian restaurant however the food quality was not good enough so I do not try again their food at all. We ordered Hunter plate special offer, which included at least 5 Persian food. But I think thier cookman is not Iranian originally because the taste of most of foods were not close to Persian type apart from MirzaGhasemi and chicken with bones. The rice is not Persian rice , lack of flavor and aroma of saffron is evident also. I couldnt eat their kebabs (koobideh & Barg) at all. I tried to guess whats the animal meat they used to cook (Maybe it is Brown Bear) The place is a cosy restaurant but it is required renovation to be a nice place and charming atmosphere. The air temperature of hall was too high. In fact, this is not the real experience of Iranian food. It is only good for taking pictures with similar Iranian food.
Amazing amazing food!!! Great quality and the woman who works there is so sweet.
Amazing flavors, good prices.
The food and behaviour staff was very good. Specially, The lady who works there is very respectful.
Small and cozy restaurant but good portions of meat for the price, only problem i can say is with the main dish there is no sauce on the side, otherwise everything taste was good.
Yummy food and lovely people :) Highly recommended
The food quality was below average and the portions of the starter and salad were small. The server was unfriendly and seemed to be rushing us out. I wouldnt recommend this place due to the poor quality of food and service.
Love their food. High quality and tasty food with reasonable price. Tiny and friendly space. Each time I go there, I try one type of their Kebabs. Make sure you will try Barg and Koubide. I wish the staff were more organized.
Good food good service
The kabob and chicken leg were uncooked and smelly . The Barg was so hard to chew and almost burned ! It was not a good experience for me as bringing a guest to a kebob place ! But the lady who was working there, she was very polite, friendly and welcoming !
Great place
Amazing food. Great price, friendly staff
I ordered food from this restaurant. It was yes and no. The price was not bad. Kebab was good but not juicy. The rice was not the best kind I guess, and not steamed enough for me. Also, the portion of the side, (mine was salad), was so small. It barely could be counted as a side! I ordered online through Doordash, and all the fees were set so hight!
Worst persian resto in montreal!
I came to Montreal for a visit and decided to come to this restaurant. As an Iranian myself, I can say this is some of the best koobideh Ive ever had. The tea was delicious and the owner was so nice with us. I reccomend this restaurant to the highest level!
Very good cuisine. The menu is not very varied but it doesnt matter since everything is delicious.
Food tastes amazing. Sweet home vibe.
Dont be fooled by the exterior. The food for the most part was delicious. We loved the crazy chicken and barg but were not fans of the koobideh or the ash. They should also have iranian bread instead of pita for the maust or other dishes. The waitress was pleasant, welcoming and we did not have a very long wait for the food. The restaurant space is a bit cramped but it is definitely worth it to check this local hot spot out. The restaurant was full and a lot of take out orders. They also have great Chai but should consider expanding the non existing dessert menu. Vegetarian options: They offer many vegetarian options that are tasty and satisfying. Parking: Lots of free street parking Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly options and an excellent family spot.
Food was amazing
A classic hole-in-the-wall in the best sense of the expression. Legit Persian food and Persian hospitality. Hope this place sticks around.
The food is decent. The kebabs are good, the chicken was a little dry, but the crazy chicken was pretty good. The owner is very nice.
Went for a quick lunch next to our office. The food was real good as usual.
Worst behaviour and attitude with the very bad quality, never go back,
I called to order for pick up one hour in advanced and I still had to wait more then 15 minutes once I arrived on time. Very disappointed with the service.
Authentic Iranian food.
The barbecue was better before. A chicken press had only 5 small pieces of chicken and uncooked rice. Really badly beaten. It is really a waste of money to buy from this restaurant with new management. We could only eat a bit of the food and threw the rest away.
Its very dirty, especially the tiny toilets. Its small and poorly arranged. Nobody speaks French. The menu is full of errors and manual corrections. The food is ordinary. Go to Château Kebab, its better in every way...
Cozy place, super nice staff, great service and delicious food
Nice restaurant, delicious dishes! .....
Awesome food, liked the taste.
Excellent service amazing food. The ghormeh sabzi is absolutely delicious, has a very traditional/authentic taste. Looking forward to ordering food from Maison Du Kebab again soon, merci
Delicious food, we enjoyed our meal. The server was super nice and friendly. She is a wonderful person.
Top service, unbeatable prices as to portion size, cozy place.
Their food is not good at all. Kebab tastes not even close to Iranian kebabs. So dry and hard!!!
A fantastic little Persian restaurant with great food. I ve been coming here for quite some time and it never disappoints. My favourite dish is the Soltani. There are only a few tables and one server, but it adds to its homey, chill and cozy atmosphere. It has become one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal.
First time going to this type of restaurant and I was blown away with the food quality and taste! Amazing experience! Also had great company which added to the experience!
We saw their website and called to order the Hunters Platter. When we went to pick up our meal they charged us 10$ more than what their menu was online. When we showed them the website and explained they seemed to have overcharged us 10$ they said they wouldn t give us the money back and that it was our fault for not asking for the price over the phone even though their online menu has completely wrong information. We don t mind mistakes and false advertising sometimes happens (although probably illegal) but they didn t even course correct when given the opportunity too. We hope this review helps them understand the importance of good business practices and baseline customer service.
Good food, tasty, Ive been there enough times to say that the quality is inconsistent but more good quality than the bad times. They change waitresses weekly and so the service is different accordingly. Last visit, the waitress was spending time more on her phone and being in the back kitchen than the front where we needed her for napkins, drink refills, small plates for our discards, etc. Small hole in the wall place so dont expect a huge restaurant with a big ambiance. Overall decent food for the price and worth coming back if you enjoy the food. I would go back but not necessarily my first choice.
Excellent kebab.
Absolutely delicious and the quality is consistent. The meat is juicy and always perfectly cooked. My family has cravings for this restaurant every now and then. We love ordering take-out when hosting large events at home because its a crowd pleaser and our guests are always full.
Very nice and friendly staff. Good food with soup and tea.
Over priced for a bad and old meat Don t waste your money if you want fresh kebab
The taste of food was really terrible. The quantity of ash was like two spoons, even not enough for one person. and the food was not fresh!!! You really ruined the reputation of the Iranian restaurant.
Chicken kebab and koobideh were old meat with bad taste and not fresh. The amount of Ash was like 2 spoons with awful taste. I felt like vomiting even with eating a little bit food. I threw out all of the food.It is really embarrasing .Dont waste your time and money to go there (such bad quality food in the world).
Great place! Delicious Persian dishes!
To be honest, the quality is not even comparable with the original Iranian foods. They have to change many things (decorations, dishware sets, restrooms). The worst part is the way they ask for the tip!! It is embarrassing. They also accept cash only.
Ark.. the meat is dry, its not even good, no idea how a restaurant like that can survive.. if you want something similar, go to Amir next door, cant believe I paid Almost $20 for that, I almost threw everything away..
Kabab is juicy and fantastic
Love this place! High quality and big portions! Prices are very fair!
Very welcoming and polite! Great customer Service! The dishes are delicious, with good portions! Recommended! Very convenient place for picking up your orders.
Such an amazing place. Everything they do is very good. Would definitely recommend.
Great
Excellent restaurant very good meal very good service I recommend it
I gave an order. They told me to come pick it up after an hour. And when i came, they told the food is not ready, and they told me to come 2 hours later. I had to come from far to get my order. There are 2 womens who work here. They both lied to me. I got back my money and went back home.
Warm and friendly environment with excellent management and service
The barg kebab
Great portions, delicious and juicy meat, the rice was exquisite! I definitely recommend !
Simple yet pleasant surroundings. Good healthy portions with amazing herbs/ bbq taste. Friendly staff. I felt well taken care of. A complete meal for less than $38. Can t beat that - good value! My only meal of the day included pita-onions-parsley starter with butter, yogourt-cucumber dip, and Persian aromatic tea - splendid treat ;-)
We ordered food from the Kababsara in the Nuns Ireland branch. And their behaviour wasnt friendly at all. And we never come back here again
The beef and kefta were delicious, juicy and tasty. The staff are super friendly. Thanks!
Great choice for Iranian cuisine that serves halal!
I always order from them on Uber and OMG it reminds me of the time I spent in Iran! I love love love their Koobideh and the ash reshteh! Thank you so much for existing in MTL!! Much much love !!
The best food and service I ve ever had!!! Only one word : WOW !!!!! A must try!!!
Been eating there for decades. Great meal for a decent price.
Excellent Good. The portions are large. The staff is very nice, friendly and welcoming. Definitely try it.
Amazing customer service, super welcoming atmosphere, and delicious authentic Persian food!
We ordered a dish for two people which included three starters or sides, 3 mains, salad and soup. Quality: the food and service quality was good and the price was reasonable. I liked the taste of kubide and barg kabab. P.s : Soupe was actually sh reshteh and also olive should be ordered separately, although it was part of the starters. Also like many other local restos you are only allowed to pay with cash or debit which is not convenient for some.
The food was delicious
Its super great cheap and irani syle kabab, fully meat, packaging is so respectful gave u tomato kababi, frech onion bread somaq, fresh vegetables
The food was good and also very friendly customer service
Pretty decent place, small and the prices are reasonable. The waitress was friendly. I ordered the koobideh and it tasted good. I would go again.
i went to try it for the first time and it was really delicious! I order the 50$ full plate with different kebab options. The woman was super nice and the service was really good. I Highly recommand if you love iranian food!
The food was just amazing. Generous plates and full of flavours. It was my first time, but I ll definitly recommend it. And the worker there are so kind and really caring about the customers.
Ive been getting takeout from here since I was a little girl. Its my go-to spot in the city for Iranian food. Friendly staff too. My only complaint is that sometimes Ive had to wait 20+ minutes for my pickup order despite placing it ahead of time. Its rare but it happens if they get slammed with orders or sitdown customers. However, the food is always great and quickly absolves me of the frustration.
Great food & service!
The service was top tier. The food was an experience! Would recommend visiting if you are in Montreal.
The service was immaculate. The lady gave us an overview of Persian cuisine and showed us how to eat certain dishes properly. It was an enlightening experience. The food was delicious - filled with mind blowing flavors. If I were to visit Montreal again, I would definitely go back.
The worst one in Montreal! The rice smelled really bad and the kebab was awful. Don t put your money in garbage
4.5 starts actually in some situations. Very good for the price and the fact that it is in the Montreal. Will repeat my experience here. Not the highest quality but acceptable.
I don t recommend it
The Koobideh at this place is sensational
Picked up the HUNTERS PLATTER - delicious meal for me and my guests!
Rice and food quality is zero. It s very expensive. We can buy the same food of other restaurant with higher quality and cheaper price.
The typical Iranian dishes were tasty, I especially liked the kebab. However, the soup tasted too much like mint for my taste, but my girlfriend liked it. The value for money is excellent: soup, generous main course and good tea for cheap.
Came from ottawa visiting Food was ok nothing special, service was garbage walked in lady was on the phone for 2 minutes didnt even acknowledge us didnt even care that there s Customers that just walked in didnt bring water to the table untill 10 mins later soup and salad came 5 minutes into eating she said sorry i forgot? Absolutely terrible service never coming back. And don t recommend anyone to come a lot better other options out there.
Excellent food and service. A pleasant surprise in a small boutique dinning place. Definitely recommend
Very delicious Kabob kubideh
Really good food, in a very small cute restaurant.
great place for Persian food, high quality delicious food.
The worst Persian restaurant in Montreal Bad quality, bad taste The worst and lowest quality Iranian restaurant in Montreal
Food smelled really bad the last time I ordered
Authentic. Nice . Good service.
Yummy and Crazy Chicken, everything was delicious on the Hunters Platter. Service was outstanding. Vegetarian options: There are a few, but primarily meat place. Parking: Just read the placards Wheelchair accessibility: Not really
