Best pizza in town around NDG. If its got some greasy oil on it its one of the best eatable grease. Try Dominoes or any other and their grease ontop turns white. Welat happens over a longer period of time to turn white solid.grease. But its not the point. Have you ever reheat your pizza the 2nd day? Well Welats pizza can be reheated in the microwave without it turing into plastic.

Id say 1 star for the customer service on the phone. I only ordered once and the lady proceeded to say I changed my order 3 times. I didnt. So just to re try coming here or ordering just went downhill from the start. Aint got time for that. Tell receptionist not to be borderline rude with customers when theyre asking their family what they want when they double check before ordering. I dont deal with places where their staff is not trained properly. P.S Dont call back the customer 6 times in a row after. Ive blocked the number since this review and I have been called back 5 times already and I keep getting the call back. Business slow? Maybe train the receptionist in customer service not to sound like a passive aggressive, sarcastic unprofessional woman.

For when you dont have much time to cook and little money to eat, it is a very good option, I really like their pizzas, and so far the best fries I have tried in Montreal

For a limited menu, their quality of food is impressive. Although not the best decor, it s a great to go spot. The food is served fast and is very tasty. Always pass by when im in the area for a quick bite. 9/10

The last of its kind.

I lived in this neighborhood since Im a child and went to this pizzeria quite often sometimes and their pizzas were the best. Tasted fresh, smelled delicious, and looked appetizing. Ever since they never disappointed anyone that I know or known. They kept making their appetizing pizzas to this day. The only reason why I gave them 4/5 rating is because their decoration and restrooms are due to renewal. It must keep up with their great reputation! Parking: Free street parking just in front and if its full you can find lots of parking on the streets next to it. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a ramp for easier access to the disabled.

If it was only for the daytime staff I would give 5 stars, but the evening staff ruins that. Weve called 3 times and weve made 3 mistakes in a row. So for quality service, call during the day.

Nobody in quebec ever does this but according to this woman if I dont have perfect French I cannot get take an order. No problem though I had better service from Atlas Pizza the next block over.

Absolutely excellent service. The woman who takes your order and payment is such a welcoming, kind and warm person. She is so nice. I came in on a winter night, chilly and feeling melancholic and down, and I make my order. I pay and it looks like I might have been missing a few cents, and she assured me that it didnt matter if I couldnt find it. (luckily I did). She was quick and on the ball, the person before me was served within 2 minutes and I was served just as quick. Did I mention how kind she is? Because that really was what sets this place from the rest. Many others just dont care, or dont bother being nice, or just look at you with indifference, like youre just another annoying customer throughout their day. Not here though. You come here and you feel like a human being. Worthy of someones kindness, and patience, even a smile. Aside from all that stuff, the food is excellent. Ive been going here for years but because I moved away a couple of years ago, I didnt visit this place for a long time. But I was visiting my old area and so of course, I just had to pop in here. Felt right like home. Thank you to everyone who works here, for working as well as you all do, for making this restaurant an amazing place worthy of 5 stars.

Took 1h45 to receive my order and mind you I live 15m away. Driver showed up and forgot to bring my poutine. I called and a man answered and told me he will call the driver. Never heard back from them and never got my poutine that I paid for. Im not happy with the service I received so Im never ordering again

Own personal choice not a real fan of their pizza, its decent , good taste but soggy pizza no crisp to the crust, the poutines are good , their fried chicken is ok good seasoning but over cooked and dry maybe recommend frying it 5 minutes less than normally do, the price is right though not my go to place but will return if nothing better arises.

Authentic Italian pizza. Made just the way it was back in 1993, I m sure. No other pizza compares to this one. run by some great people as well !

My go to pizza joint I don t usually comment but the staff are sooo nice they deserve a rating.

I ordered out for delivery, burgers etc... fries great, bread good, condiments and dressing exceptional, but the meat itself was disappointing. It tasted like any frozen burger you buy at the super market, and a tad undercooked. I expected better. I was asked about atmosphere, but I cant speak to that. Gave it a medium rating. I imagine the place is as nice as the staff on the phone. Always a pleasure to speak with yall.

I ordered two medium pizzas a month ago with my sister (Andreanne LG comment below). We got sent the wrong pizza. When we called to inform them of this we were immediately blamed (no apology, straight blame). We hoped they would offer to send over the right pizza but no such luck. They offered us a credit, and as I have been ordering there for over 8 years (5 for my sister) we accepted. However, upon trying to redeem this credit it was denied. Very disappointed in this turn of events. The pizza is great but this was very disappointing.

I have been a loyal customer to Pizza Welat for 5+ years now. Last month, they made a mistake by sending me the wrong pizza (wanted a Mexican - they brought me a chicken), so I called back right away to let them know their mistake. The girl tried to blame the mistake on me, however she had only confirmed two medium pizzas at the end of the call. I would have liked to get refunded immediately/been sent the right pizza, but in an attempt to be convivial, I opted for the credit option. I called back tonight to redeem my credit, and like I feared, they had no credit to my address. I tried to reason with the manager, that I had been a loyal customer, and that they had now made not one, but two mistakes, and I was basically told that it was too bad for me. I m sad because I wanted to keep supporting, but now on two occasions, they ve shown me how little they value their longtime customers. Longevity means nothing here.

Amazing hand-made pizza. There is a cashier there, she has been working there for a long time, she is amazing, Whenever I walked in and I see her I know my order will be raken care if. Whenever you order, she will take her time to offer you a good combo for less. No other cashiers who work there do that. She is a gem. Sorry, I forgot her name.

Moved into the area not long, looking for good eats, Velat seemed OK, their subs are good asked for the vinaigrette on the side they did not do , luckily they did not put a lot, vinaigrette over powers the flavor of a sub which I hate. Their pizzas are ok to good not great, affordable and etable not omg mind blowing pizza like some reviewers claim, pizza needs improving like a better under carriage dough should be crispy have some crunch not floppy and white like barely cooked, but their toppings are fresh and the sauce is good.

I just ordered and boy was I disappointed, Caesar salad full of gross sauce, no cheese, no bacon, just disgusting and cost me 10$ for iceberg salad ( it s supposed to be romain) and tons of sauce, the pizza was gross too, they changed the sauce and it s terrible also I ordered with mushrooms and not one single mushroom, I used to love this place and used to recommend it to everyone but not anymore . I didn t mind the price because it was so good but now I m done, gross sauce, gross salad, gross fries full of oil, I will never recommend this again and I ll make sure to tell all my friends in the neighbourhood to do the same and I know a hell of a lot of people .. what a shame!!!

On Tuesday night at 7:00 pm we called to place an order. A girl answered the phone and half way through the order she said she has people waiting in the restaurant and hung up on us. We used to order a lot of food here but service is not the same it used to be. Not going to spend money here anymore. Very disappointed.

I go there since I came to Canada in 1994. Quality hasnt changed, lots of cheese, good taste, enormous slices and the best prices Ive seen in Montreal. Staff is friendly. I moved around 2001, but sometimes I do the 30 min trip there just to eat pizza. Must try! P.S.: I also converted many of my friends to that place, theyre always surprised of the quality, portions, taste and price.

I eat early, but I didnt even think about dinner until quarter to six. On a Friday. Not my best ever plan, as its quite busy. After a reasonable amount of time for a fresh pizza, it arrives with two sodas, I did not know were included. I dont drink soda. I do have friends who drink soda, so thats fine. Unfortunately, in the chaos of the Friday night rush, I got a veggie pizza. Ive never met a veggie pizza I liked. Until tonight. Its actually really good. Even the green peppers.

Ive been getting slices at Velat since I was 15 years old and I honestly love them. Theres a bit of biased nostalgia at work here in this review so I realistically gave it a 4 but in my heart it will always be a 5/5. The key is getting the slice within the appropriate window - too soon and the toppings havent had time to caramelize and settle, too long and the slice becomes stale. Best time to go is between 1p and 3p - just after the high-school kids rush.

Picked up order 5 min before promised time and the french fries were freezen cold, submarine was very hot!Called the restaurant to complain owner claims i picked up order too late ! Not true was there 5 min before! The owner is the chef so if you can t trust him with your order who can you trust!! French fries ended up in the garbage! Free french fries next time!! You can keep them I m not interested!!

Great pizza! I was really surprised at the quality of the dough, ingredients and overall taste. Bought 2 large pizzas. Our family of four was super full after a slice of two. We had plenty of leftovers for the next day. We all had super tasty cold pizza the next morning.

There food is great, have been coming to them for years, but I just went in and none of the employees were wearing their mask!! They all scrambled to put them on when I walked in. Thats messed up. Its ironic that theres a sign up front that says masks are mandatory. Does that not apply to the people who work there?!? Hugely disappointed.

Wrong hours listed - They say (on the menu and online) that they are open until 1am on Sunday evening-Monday morning. This is the 2nd time I call around 12:30am with no answer. I just finished work and I wanted to order out as everything else is closed at this hour and now I dont have anything to eat for the evening because they didnt update their hours online. Mind you, I can order from Pizza Pizza but their food is garbage. 3 stars because the food is good, greasy fast food. 2 stars lost for misinformation.

Simple, welcoming and good! We went for a bite to eat at Chez Pizza VELAT on January 29, 2015. We were 4 friends and all enjoyed this simple and welcoming restaurant. I had the very simple and classic 2 hot dogs, fries and soft drink for $6.95 before taxes. Two other friends of mine had pizza while I dont remember what the other one ordered. All had good comments. The fries were absolutely tasty and even a big favorite. The service was good and the employees served us at our table diligently. I invite you to consult the menu on their website. I took an exterior photo of the restaurant which I will feature later. I recommend this restaurant. To try it is to adopt it! Very good poutines, the pizza is pretty good too. Just one word of advice, dont order a small poutine. When they say small, they mean SMALL. Just get a medium and save the left overs for the next day, or share with a friend. Edit: Also I forgot to add that the cheese on their poutines are almost always squeaky!! It makes me very happy!! :)

I quite like this cheesy pizza. It has a bread-ier dough, and the crust can at times be quite large, but it goes down well. I think their XL deal is quite good and they prepare it quickly.

Called at 11:25 to order 2 medium poutine and 2 diet Pepsi, after waiting more than 45 minutes I decided to make myself something to eat, then at 12:40 am the door bell ring and the guy came to deliver the order, needless to say I didnt answer, who waits more than an hour to get a poutine that takes 5 minutes to make? Without mentioning that I literally live 2 blocks away from the place!

Ordered twice from Velat. Negative : Fries are frozen and terrible. In poutine they get soggy. Poutine sauce is terrible. Chicken wings were battered plain flour and poorly fried. How can you serve those ? The bbq sauce that comes with them (wings) is poutine sauce ??? Pizza is classic 2 for 1 quality. Bit of raw doe and cheap feeling, but I expected that going in. 2L of pepsi was room temp. Bleh. Shows they dont care. Positive : Pickup phone and deliver fast (and hot) Tl/dr Wont order again, clearly dont care for the quality of their food and its not cheap enough to justify it.

Ive ordered from this restaurant about once a week or so since last October and have not had many issues aside from the occasional cold fries. The last few times, however, have been not so great. The man that answers the phone in the evening/night time is extremely rude. When asked to repeat the order back because he didnt seem to understand what I had asked, he said some of it and when I asked him to confirm he got upset and said do you really expect me to tell you your whole order back? As if I were being unreasonable for wanting to be sure Today, Im missing a gravy and two pieces of chicken from my order. When I call to ask to get this rectified, I was told that its not possible I was missing the chicken and that they could credit me for the gravy for next time. When I asked for the order to be corrected for today, I was given attitude and told that it would be half an hour to 45 minutes. To that I responded forget it, I will not be ordering from them again.
