Amazing food and service. Salmon was perfectly grilled, chicken Parmesan was delicious, fettuccine Alfredo was best ever. Service was attentive and friendly. Looking forward to our next family dinner.
Food was mediocre and we had to wait over an hour for a pizza and a spaghetti, and the appetiser we ordered also took about an hour to come considering it was a Tuesday night with only a handful of costumers. The waiter was very snobbish and kept arguing about simple questions. I do not recommend to anyone, ever, to come here hoping to have a good night. You would expect an Italian restaurant to serve good pizza but no.
Came here with a couple friends and we really enjoyed ourselves. The complimentary bread that we got was fantastic. Our orders were great and the restaurant didn't shy away when it came to serving parmesan. The staff was also really friendly when we entered and left the establishment.
My husband and I decided to try Mamma Mia as we had not been there in quite some time. We were with 5 other people. The food was exceptional, as good as any high end Italian restaurant. The portions were very generous and the service was excellent. I ordered a glass of house white wine which came in a small decanter. Normally, when you order a glass of wine, you get one glass. Well, the decanter provided two full glasses of wine for a very reasonable price of $9.75. The meals were quite reasonably priced. The restaurant was busy and a good time was had by all. We will be back!!
The service and ambiance were great. There was something a little lacking in the pizza, if I’m very honest, but I think it’s more the style of pizza rather than a lack of quality. Altogether a pleasant experience.
Depth of flavor rule here chef is obviously not afraid to kick it up veal pizziolla was delicious spinach and cheese cannelloni was above the norm. Tableside service was ok not there fault really the place was full they looked a bit frazzled doing there best it seemed to handle bills and plates Overall great choice
I enjoyed my visit to mamma mia! It's not my first time but the food is pretty good! Not world class but good ! I do like the old authentic low lit vibe they had inside the restaurant. Can't wait for my next visit.
I must start out by saying that my review is probably biased as I worked here over 50 years ago. It brought back fond memories. The restaurant has changed inside since then, and now has a warm comfortable inviting atmosphere, overseen by friendly family service. The menu here has always been fresh, with the best ingredients. That recipe hasn't changed in 50 years plus. Family owned and supported. Best pizza and pasta.

I think that here they give magnificent alfredo the noodles are 5 stars

Very happy to have a nice local pizza place nearby, this is always a must for me. On our first visit, we ordered pizzas to go. The pizza was larger than I had thought, so we had plenty of leftovers for the next day and it was just as good the day after. The pizza is also not very greasy either, which I like, but it is not my favorite pizza overall. On our second visit we had the pasta, and that was excellent. I has the Cannelloni Fiorentina and loved it. The cheese, freshly made pasta and other ingredients were delicious and the serving size was perfect. I may grab a pizza from time to time, but I will mostly stick to the other dishes as personally, I thought they were excellent. Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza and pasta options are available

People in Montreal think they are special when they all run disgusting rundown restaurants, with nothing special on the menu. Montreal has the worst food anywhere, you will get sick if you eat in Montreal.
I ate pasta and love it. Also, their behaviour is so polite and welcoming ! I am interested in coming back i future too

Absolutely delicious pizza. Incredibly it still tastes the same as it did 44 years ago when it first became a weekly treat for me as a kid. The consistency of taste and texture over generations is a mark of care and quality thats rare. Bravo Mama Mia Pizzeria!
Ordered a large pizza alldressed was fine , nothing super great, asked to be baked well done , came a bit white with a pale under carriage but was cooked no big deal, came within 50 min acceptable time since it was close to dinner rush, , but again a little underwhelmed since I went with some of the reviews here saying it was great but had much better,

Right now the famous Mama Mia pizzeria is only open for take out and delivery. How sad we cannot sit in their historical restaurant to eat , be merry and enjoy our delicious famous pizza. Covid, lack of staff and cooks prevents them from reopening their doors.
Really very very very average, I had a lasagna and the pasta was overcooked. Also ordered a plate of spaghetti and there was a mix of linguini and spaghetti on the plate. The sauce looked like it came out of a Costco bottle, and so did the bread.
Fantastic,great home like cooking.

Oh my....I have been living in this area for 11 yrs and tonight we decided to order from Mamma Mia. WHY did I wait for so long to order from there? It was so darn good. Thank you for your awesome Pizza.

The Best to eat Bizza
Aug. Août, 2022! Simply a gastronomical delight! We salivated with the Pizza, hot peppers (really zesty, not too spicy), bacon!
60 minutes to make a pizza is not normal. And we talked before about ordering it.
The pizza is amazing but You have to wait 2 hours to get it and it sometimes comes hot and sometimes comes cold.... They lost a good customer tonight

I used to eat here frequently when I was in high school ( mid to late 60s) and living in Montréal. In those days, it was a small hole in the wall type place geared exclusively to Pizza and Spaghetti type dishes. Excellent pizza and great service usually from the same waitress or 2. Today it is more of an upscale Italian dining experience. Their menu looked tantalizing but I wanted to see if the Pizza was still great. Not even close. Decent but nothing special. That being said service was outstanding and attentive, very pleasant ambience and I could still get a Chinotto ( Brio). Next visit I may come back but for a pasta dish or something besides pizza. The nostalgia alone is worth the visit.

Been living 3 minutes from the restaurant for 22 years and never ate there until last week! Food was really good and very good portion for the price. The pizzas are just soooo good! Will be back for sure!
Went there with 4 adults and 4 kids ranged in age from 9 months to 6 years old. Staff was very accomadating and pleasant. High chair available. Pizza was delicious for a non wood burning oven and carbonara pasta was decent. Would reccomend.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the tortellini in cream sauce with prosciutto and mushrooms. I will definitely be returning. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is excellent as well. Very impressed. Thank you!
Just got home from dinner and it was fantastic - table dhote -of garlic salad, veal parmigiana with pasta, cheesecake and coffee $31.00 + tax and tip. Great value. Several other choices available in the same price range as well. My wife and our friends all enjoyed their meals . Havent been in a very long time but Ill be back soon. Busy, with a lot of regular clients. The staff was very friendly. They even accommodated our gluten-free friend. The owner told me its a 3rd generation run , in business over 60 years.

Take out: We only ordered food to-go but based on the meal and my first impressions of the interior I will be returning. Its an elegant and cozy place to enjoy Italian cuisine. It looks darling and I cant wait to return. I will update my review upon a sit down meal.
FABULIOUS food great service
A small menu, but each item is perfectly executed. Bartender is ready and willing to make you what you want and a fantastic ambiance. An excellent place for a date.

I grew up eating here. Made great friends with the owner and the staff. The food is great, the staff is friendly, where can you go wrong. This is a place you go with your family or friends. There is no rush at all you could sit there all night and have great conversations. You know what, I just left the restaurant after 3 years of not eating here and I thought to myself boy what have I missed. Its incredible.
Great food coupled with attentive, friendly service. Very willing to cater to food allergies and intolerances. We love going there impromptu and on special occasions. It is such an amazing restaurant, it should be packed all the time, but there are usually tables available!

Tortellini gigi is amazing so is the garlic salade and the service is great the owner Jonny is a nice man and the prices are well worth it. Highly recommended to anyone who wants quality real Italian cuisine.
