200 Saint-Paul St W, Montreal, Quebec H2Y 1Z9, Canada
Traditional Polish dishes & set-price menus in a charming room with warm lighting & church pews.
What an amazing spot in the old port. They often have a piano live performance which is lovely. The food tastes homemade and soooo delicious. Vibe is good with dim red lights. Its often busy but not too bad finding a spot The staff is super nice and good selection of wines and drinks. Unpretentious place but solid food. We usually come on Sunday nights and its a great way to end the weekend. Their desserts are delicious too and not too sweet. Prices reasonable, especially for being in the old port.
A truly exotic trip right in the loveliest part of Old Montreal. You will find yourself in Poland with the very best it has to offer. It's been a constant favorite for me for over 30 years now. Yesterday, I introduced it to my grandchild. She adored it. Also a special mention to Edouardo our waiter for his constant attention and great friendly service.
The restaurant was super well decorated, the lighting, decor, and the piano performer made the vibe and ambience very pleasant. The server was super knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to introducing the food options. The plating of the food was pleasing and the taste is also amazing and fresh. Would definitely come back!
The food was amazing! 😍 My partner had the cabbage rolls (stuffed with meat). It was really delicious. I had the table d'hôte with the zurek soup, and the debutante plate. While our Polish friends mentioned it's not things that necessarily go together, it allowed us to taste a lot of different things. Everything was great! We had both the crumble and crêpes for dessert. Again, nothing to complain about. Also, we shared the pickled herring for the table. Highly recommended as a chaser. Amazing service (only complaint is that it was a bit slow but it was Friday night and they seemed slammed). And the ambiance is really cool and chill.
My husband and I are Polish and we can confirm this place is the real deal! My husband said the pierogies were better than my mom’s! The server spoke Polish to us and was friendly and attentive. The live piano player was an amazing addition to the meal! We also enjoyed the pickled herring, barsch soup and desserts. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Polish experience!
This beautiful restaurant was perfect, in terms of atmosphere. There were beautiful red lights providing a small amount of light making it feel very cozy and nice. What also added into this were the pretty long chair which was a nice style that went well with the piano playing. The food was really good. The perogies and salad is what I will recommend. The service, as well, was very good! They were ready for all our needs and were very polite when we needed something or they brought something to us. Service is 20/10!!!
My family is of Polish heritage, and I was excited to introduce my children to a wider variety of the cuisine than they’ve had at family gatherings. Our youngest children (7 & 9) are quite picky, and they finished dinner by saying it was their favorite meal of our Montreal trip; that’s saying a lot because they have had pizza and grilled cheese. 😆 The staff wasn’t fazed in the slightest when our large family of 6 came in without a reservation. We’d have made one had we known the smaller size of the restaurant. We were seated promptly. Food came out rather quickly, despite most tables being full of patrons. Every single item we ordered was remarkable! A pianist started playing during the latter portion of our meal, which was a lovely touch. A sign posted outside the restaurant says that music is played daily starting at 6:00PM. Go because you love Polish food. Go because you appreciate considerate and competent wait staff. Go because you like listening to live music while you dine. Go because your chicken-nugget-and-butter-noodle kids will totally dig the kielbasa. Whatever your reason, just go. Stash is worth it!
We were so impressed with Stash Café. Not only is the ambiance warm and charming but the food is extremely authentic to polish cuisine and every dish felt so comforting. I never had the chance to discover polish cuisine in its essence like I did here. It's really something special. Get the taster plate that offers a variety of different foods to try like we did, you won't regret!
love it, good service, very delicious menus
Perfect restaurant
Excellent! Hearty, satisfying, different. Perfect, especially when its colder. We are far from the small green salad.
Traditional, warm and friendly atmosphere and makes you forget where you are.....feels like home
Came here for a quick meal on a busy Friday. Had the kielbasa, shredded cabbage salad and the bigos. Delicious!
Had one of the best dinner experiences here ever!! 1) our server was amazing- gave us great recommendations (our first time having Polish food), he was so charismatic and friendly. 2) the ambiance was soooo nice. This is what drew us in to come here- the red lighting, rustic vibe. 3) the food was Soo yummy, great first impression. We had the intro meal (3-course). We also stayed late and the workers were so sweet about it. Overall 10/10 best restaurant I ve been to in a while and our whole group agrees! Thank you for this experience !
The food was excellent. Don t know if I ll ever have a better sausage and sauerkraut, and it s affordable! I really hope to return and try the pierogis and desserts.
Very good food. On the other hand, the service was not good! Our waitress E** was not welcoming at all... not a good day or even a thank you for the tip left! If you want more than 15% (which is already very good) learn to be more friendly with your customers.
The cuisine is rather simple but very good. The atmosphere is rather original. The service is not very fast but good quality! Good surprise for me! The piano guy does the job!
Extremely popular place at 5pm on a Saturday night. Food was great, good pierogis, kielbasa and the stroganoff was also excellent. True highlight was the peach cobbler which was just a marvel to end off the meal. Staff are super hardworking trying to accommodate everyone, hats off to them.
WOW, these pierogies!!
Service and atmosphere was awesome! Food was delicious. This place has the best potato pancakes and golambkis I ve ever had. Knocking one star off for the pierogis. They were a bit too wet and soggy. Needed to be a tad firmer imo.
Excellent Polish food restaurant in Montreal. Very authentic, well priced.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Thank you. Food : 5/5
I don t usually write bad reviews, but this place begged for one!! Despite having a reservation, you ll still end up waiting like you just walked in unannounced. The food is bland and overpriced, and the service is downright awful - special shoutout to the lady receiving guests at the door with an attitude as big as her waistline. They charge for a premium experience but serve you like it s a fast food joint. Hard pass.
I wouldnt recommend this Polish restaurant. I chose it based on reviews, but the service was disappointing. The food wasnt very good. Polish food is usually tasty, but this wasnt even close to Polish cuisine. Its pretty disrespectful to have a pianist right in front of the entrance and call it live music.
Our visit to this restaurant left us disappointed. Despite reserving a table, we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. The pianist was positioned right at the entrance, which seemed out of place and made the atmosphere feel less welcoming. We ordered borscht, but it lacked vegetables, which had to be ordered separately. Additionally, part of the soup had spilled onto the plate when it was served. The staff seemed to have limited English proficiency, which made communication challenging. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations: the sour cream we requested was forgotten, and a dirty spoon was left on the table. I dont recommend coming there. Rude staff, unfriendly atmosphere and unpalatable food!
A very fun, funky and romantic space with a great vibe and cozy. The service was fast and friendly as well. The food was fresh, and the sauerkraut was great, unfortunately we found the other food (pirogies and such) a bit lacking in space and flavor. Overall a fun place, but could use a bit more spice
Overall, really good food! The atmosphere was really nice but the service was lacking. Our waitress took really long to just give our water. Every time we tried to talk to her she would just turn her back even though we weren t done talking. Two waiters were really rude.
Great polish food that taste just like it does in Poland. I highly recommend the Stash cafe if you want to taste polish food!
Very nice cozy restaurant with real polish food. My whole family liked it a lot!
Best eastern european food in Montreal!
One of the better dinners out I ve ever had! Ambiance was great without being stuffy, the server was wonderful and offered us a cocktail each for the slight wait on food that was not his fault. All the types of perogies as well as the cocktails were delicious and so reasonably priced!
Very tasty food Excellent service fenomenal atmosfere
I had the Stroganoff, and it was tasty and delicious. The atmosphere was awesome, and someone was playing the piano, which made it even more pleasant. The only downside was the service it took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive. But overall, I had a great experience, and it s a must-try Polish restaurant.
The most delicious Polish food and a wonderful atmosphere too. Really friendly waiters :)
Amazing and friendly servers, and eveiwe ordered was so so good! Im definitely coming back to try other dishes
Delicious Polish restaurant in the Old Town Magnificent place The food is divine Reasonable price
I eat here more often than any other restaurant.
Nice stop for some uncommon food items. Decent sized portions for the price.
It was very very good, a real good discovery. We were unfortunately put off by the waiter who seemed to be bothering us, which was a shame.
Atmosphere, food and service were excellent. The place was busy and they made room for us. Best Polish food I ve had and I ve eaten a lot of meals in Poland.
Delicious, excellent service, great ambience and most importantly very consistent
Finding a polish restaurant is always a treat and this one did not disappoint. Had a wonderful lunch. Cabbage rolls were terrific.
If you want Polish food, this is the place to go! Delicious food, great service & atmosphere.
Great discovery, pleasant and festive atmosphere, no regrets, I highly recommend
We had the kielbasa and the sznycel (not pictured). A very pleasant atmosphere. The zywiec was a little different, but we enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and close to authentic Polish cuisine.
Poor service. A lot of bickering among the wait staff. Inattentive to patrons needs. We felt rushed to place our order and when we didnt, we felt ignored.
such delicious food incredible decor i was transported to another dimension
Great authentic food. Never disappointed. Been going for years and its always great and consistent
Went early at 5pm just after opening. I had the Debutante plate and my wife had the Golabki. It was traditional, tasty and comforting, but I d stop short of saying it was exceptional having grown up with Polish food and having recently visited Poland. That said, I still enjoyed the food and would definitely go back to try other items. The Pierogi were excellent. However the service was disappointing. The young servers seemed much more interested in socializing amongst themselves and were not very attentive to customers. Also, they were not too interested in socializing with the patrons. I don t at all mind relaxing and taking a while to eat, but the disinterested attitude toward patrons was not to my liking. Certainly opposite of my experience dining in Poland where they were extremely friendly.
Absolutely horrible service. Rude waitress and wasted our day waiting for food.
Incredible atmosphere and great service! Our waiter was so kind and came by often. A great place for a bigger group. The food was so hearty especially the soups. Great selection of drinks. Always great to reconnect with Eastern European dishes Vegetarian options: Many potato/non meat options
Delicious Polish food (my first time trying Polish) I had to wait for like 5 mins to be seated but they were busy so no complain Polish beer was great as well Food : 5/5
The food was very good! You can order a la carte or they have pre-assembled menus that are very good and at a very reasonable cost within Canadian prices.
Very good experience, the kitchen is impeccable and the dishes delicious. The cocktails are very good and the staff very friendly. The only downside for us was that the cocktails we ordered were a little late and arrived after the starter. But otherwise great experience overall!
A favourite to visit! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and fun.
Great food, especially the meat, had to wait for a bit longer than expected, called to try to reserve, but no one answered.
We arrived quite early on Saturday evening with no reservations and were just lucky that there was a no show. I would definitely suggest making reservations. Just as you walk in they had a gentleman playing piano which definitely provided a great lounge atmosphere along with the lighting. It was our first time there and so we wanted to try a bit of everything. I ordered an entree of 4 meat pierogis which were hands down the best I ve ever had. The meat was spiced to perfection and the caramelized onions rounded it out. I had the strognow as my main meal which the mushrooms and the meat were superb. I enjoyed the beet salad. I would say the only negative was the potato pancakes were a bit on the oily side for me. My partner had the Table hôte which came with a soup, coffee & dessert. The soup was very tasty with fresh herbs. For a main course it was the veal sznitchel, potatoes and beet salad. Dessert was apple crumble which was delicious. We would definitely go back.
Although we had a reservation, we were seated with a delay. In the end, the waiter asked us if we could leave earlier, due to people waiting - which is generally understandable- but not when you have just finished your meal and paid (without being asked if we separate the bill or not).
A Montreal icon. 55 years running. Amazing traditional Polish food. Piano player is good as well.
Great Polish food restaurant in Montreal at reasonable prices!
Cozy. Time stands still here. Live piano music and friendly staff. Its good to have a reservation for dinner as there is a continuous line at the door. Food is the most authentic Polish cuisine Ive had besides at home. A must while in Montréal!
Delicious food. Fast service.
The food was cooked good. Could have a bit more flavor, but thats what Id expect from our Polish friends. Service was good and atmosphere was nice
Excellent experience! Will definitely return! Great service and food- was so cozy and had nice music!
This place runs its business smoothly and deliciously. Their staff were welcoming and helpful and their food was finger-licking good. Our teenagers loved it too.
they didnt bring the pancake I ordered
The food and cocktails were delicious! Our server was friendly and it never felt like we were waiting too long. The music playing featured some of my favourites and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. Would highly recommend
We noticed this restaurant on our first day of visiting Old Town and planned to visit it for lunch. My family is very familiar with Polish cuisine and every dish we ordered tasted like childhood. Its pretty busy place so I would recommend to make reservation. Live piano music enhanced resturants atmosphere.
Amazing Polish food.
Piece of home in montreal. I wish the beet consomme wasnt a consomme and that it wasnt just a broth but it was good. The pierogies were a solid choice. The live pianist was also such a nice touch! Would recommend and go back again
Wonderful time here. Beautiful interior and music, wonderful atmosphere, and the food was tasty (good portions and prices). There was a very talented guy playing the piano. They were even occasionally chatting with coworkers and customers all while still playing perfectly!!! One of our side dishes arrived way after our mains did but we got it for free because of that. The waiter was very nice.
Stumbled upon this absolute gem in old Montreal. The cabbage rolls and beef stroganoff were absolutely sensational. The potato latkes were phenomenal. The staff were on point and the ambience was warm and inviting. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would. And try the dill pickle soup, another absolutely delicious menu option.
As authentic as it gets when it comes to Polish Food.
Got overcharged (my mistake I didn t check until after I paid) and then was served a crumble that looked like a small pile of leftover crumbs. My friend who ordered the same got theirs full sized and fully intact. I m not sure why they served it instead of getting another piece or communicating that they were out.
It was excellent! Top service and excellent food, good value for money!
Just go. You won t regret it. Absolute hidden gem.
Wow, just wow
The taste wasnt anything special, though the ambiance was decent.
Food was very good. The service very very friendly. The prices fair. Beer also good. Only minor thing: please dont constantly cough in your palms and then serve customers food and drinks.
I am sad that I didn t get to try this spot during my short time in Montreal. I got to Montreal on Tuesday. They are closed on Tuesdays. I didn t go to the restaurant until Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday was my last day in Montreal. I wish they were opened for longer hours during the weekday. I was unfortunately turned away by the restaurant because the waitress said the restaurant wasn t doing takeout. She said that was the case because the restaurant was too busy. I didn t see all the seats in the restaurant taken. I don t know if they would have allowed me to dine in solo without a reservation. I didn t get to ask, but I don t like how the restaurant handled the situation. It made me very upset.
Beautiful, gezellig, piano... highly recommended.
Awesome authentic Polish food. The atmosphere was very cozy and the staff superb.
The food is simple but super tasty. I loved it!!! The prices are really good too, especially for a restaurant in the old MTL!
The service was very good the food exceptional and the atmosphere was cozy romantic, dimmed lighting, with a pianist playing. Although parking is a nightmare, its Old Montreal and certainly worth it. Would definitely return! Dzi kuj , wszystko by o wyj tkowe :)
Rude to 1st time Montreal visiting seniors Guess they want young and local crowd Offered table next to bathroom & high traffic lane - knowing full well no one wants such a table Really came off as they didnt care The place wasnt half full at the time Nasty retort to us as we left having turned the bad offer Will pass the word on
We loved it. Pianist as well! Had reservations.
Great experience!
The food quality was good. I really enjoyed it and it s definitely a matter of personal taste and experience. While I appreciated the generous portions and the unique flavors of Polish cuisine, it wasn t quite what I m used to, so I probably would not return. The cocktails, unfortunately, didn t hit the mark for me. Also, finding parking was a bit of a hassle since it s located in the Old Port area.
Great food and atmosphere. Its nice that the staff speaks Polish, a unique place!
The comfort of Polish cuisine makes diners feel warm. Polish cuisine has the salty taste of pickles, the sour taste of fresh apples, the bitter taste of black tea & herbs, and the spicy duck of horseradish mustard. My sister and I chose the following dishes: Beef Strogonow (main course) ~ $27 Golabki (main course) ~ $22 Peach Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 Apple Crumble Cobbler (dessert) ~ $6 Birra Fanelli Beer ~ $11 Meat has always had a special place on the Polish table for generations. A unique dish is Golabki, stewed cabbage stuffed with pork and rice, served with tomato sauce, potatoes and salad. This dish is a combination of sour, sweet, salty and umami flavors. A simple yet delicious dish. Strogonow is strips of beef fillet in a red wine sauce with mushrooms, served with two potato pancakes and a beetroot salad. This is a dish that everyone should definitely try. The beef is marinated in wine, making it surprisingly tender and delicious. Croustade is a dessert with a choice of apple or peach, covered with the restaurant s homemade sweet cream. It s no surprise that apple pie is one of the most beloved pastries in Poland, with its delicious apple flavor. Since I don t drink beer and I m not feeling very well, my sister was the only one drinking tonight. Luckily, she got to try their 50th anniversary Birra Fanelli, a light wheat beer with a lemon flavor. My sister described it as having a pleasant golden color, a very aromatic and slightly sour drink, and a very good digestive. Price does not include 15% VAT and 25% tip. Total bill was over $100 for 2 people, a great price if not a steal and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
An artist playing a piano in the background with red dimmed lights makes for a good atmosphere. The waiters are really nice and helpful, their recommendations were great. The food was great, its good to try new cuisine! Wheelchair accessibility: Not really, its a small and tight space
We had the best food and service experience in Montreal. Kasper was our waitress and was on point all the time! Thank you so much for the great energy although was very late. We will come back:)
In general the food was quite flavorless: Zurek too watery without egg and not sour at all. Bigos too sweet and without smoked sausage taste. Pierogi overcooked and also tasteless. As a lover of real traditional Polish kitchen, we were both disappointed. The Brazilian waiter was the only highlight of the evening. The Polish waitress was not at all friendly and almost rude.
An amazing experience. A must do for us every time we are visiting Montréal. The menu is great and all of the food is amazing. It s everything it should be for Polish cuisine. Highly recommended.
An institution in Montreal. It is one of our go-to restaurant. Prices a reasonnable and the food is great!
All perfect . Dont miss the beet gespacho, yes youvreas right! Absolutely amazing.
Wonderful atmosphere, I missed Polish cuisine while working in the United States... something beautiful delicious food, just like at moms, grandmas, or at home... I recommend it to everyone! Made my day
Amazing, home-made, delicious food.
Food like grandmas, professional service, when in Montreal you must visit this place
Amazing all around. Great atmosphere and service, fantastic live music choices on the piano and Good portions for the price. And last but certainly not least Great food! I would recommend anyone to come and try this place out, polish or not.
Everything about this place was superb great pianist with nice musical taste set a great tone for the restaurant. The ambient light and pub esthetic is very nice. And the food is great. Polish or not youll love this place. Will be coming back.
Food was excellent! Staff was fantastic, drinks were great, food was very tasteful. Would highly recommend!
Service was great, food was tasty and fantastic, highly recommend A++, thank you, will definitely return.
This restaurant was amazing! The food, the decor, the service and the guy playing the piano. It all came together for a wonderful dining experience. The beet soup was a great start. The perogis were delicious. The ambiance was just right. It s deep into the old montreal area but worth the trek. Go early as the wait can be long. Without a doubt I highly recommend this place!
Traditional Polish food, delicious, beef estroganoff is the best dish as well as beet soup and mixed dumplings. For dessert, the apple pie is highly recommended.
Amazing!! Food, service, vibe top notch!
Excellent culinary experience in old Montreal. The pierogis were excellent (especially the mushroom ones). The bigots were also excellent.
This restaurant is definitely one of my favourites in the entire city. The food and the atmosphere always surprise me. The only reason I m conflicted about the service, is because I could not stop looking at the bartender today. I don t think I ve seen such a charismatic and beautiful man before. Please tell Dave he made my night and I ll definitely be coming again tonight.
Very comforting meal in this magnificent Polish restaurant. THANKS!
Incredible experience, live piano in the restaurant, super cute subdued atmosphere. There is a formula allowing you to discover lots of small portions of Polish specialties if you dont know this cuisine at all, so its super practical! The cocktails are very good and the staff is very nice, especially for the recommendations on the menu. I am 100% sure I will return there on my next visit to Montreal!
Delicious!! Got two different borschts, pierogis, and beef stroganoff. All were very very good. The vibe is also a lot of fun!
Food outstanding and abundant.
Good, homely Polish food in a warm and inviting venue. My only slight dissatisfaction was that, because it is so popular, it was quite noisy. Id suggest booking, even on a Monday night, as it was full to overflowing.
I rarely rate any establishment as a 5* experience overall, including food, service, and atmosphere... But this place was top tier. The charm, the coziness, the atmosphere, the service, the food (including portion size, taste, and texture), the decor, the ambiance, the music, the people - *everything* was incredible. Im usually a little awkward and reserved, but I guess the never ending rain made for some great conversation, because but I didnt feel out of place at any point during the evening. The piano player? Amazing. The wait staff? Phenomenal. The amount of people here were also not too many, which is a solid a+. I had the Table Dhôte with the crêpes, and everything was divine. Great night for a goodbye dinner with friends.
I have been coming here since the 80 s! Food is always good and so is the vodka.
In Montreal for work, and found this absolute gem of a place when I wanted something relaxed and delicious. Had pierogi (potato and cheese, with fried onions and sour cream), kielbasa, and small sides of potato salad (the pickle in was a revelation) and beet salad (amazingly fresh). For pudding, had the apple cobbler. Would eat it all again in a heartbeat if I could. Wonderful, friendly staff and service. Highly recommend.
Loved it
Lovely ambience, big portions, restaurant was full with people waiting, the live upbeat piano added a lot of charm. Authentic and delicious Polish food, can confirm.
This is a lovely little spot in a quaint pedestrian district in Montreal. Overall the food was great (amazing pierogi, but DAMN it took forever for the server to make it to our table. I will say the (busy) day we were there only three servers covered the entire spot, and they DID bring out piping hot food eventually The best thing about this place, however, was the live piano player in the corner keying up all the hits of the 80s and 90s. Make sure you bring some singles to leave in his cup on your way out the door; because he ll definitely play something that makes you go, Wait. Is that ? He had me at Dirty Diana.
We had an amazing experience tonight at this wonderful place. Usually you hope the wait for your table at a busy restaurant goes quickly but this wasnt true here. I enjoyed our wait for the table with their talented piano player and it was so much fun to listen to the music as we waited. The food was just off the chart delicious. I usually dont get dessert but tonight I did because I figured if the main course is this good then I have to see what the desert is like. Also, I got an ultimate Manhattan... Best Manhattan ever.
Some of the best food I ve ever had in my life! Generous portions, and short wait time. The waiters were nice, and the piano was a nice addition. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend the Stash Café.
Very good food and good service too. Well come back to that.
We ate dinner here because it was one of the highest rated. Cant go wrong with perogies, potato salad and beet salad. Great food and service.
Very good menu, allows you to discover Polish cuisine. The taste is authentic and the dishes are delicious. They also make their own beer . A pianist plays the piano on site.
What a fantastic restaurant! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the Dill Pickle Soup, and their Debutant plate. Generous portion sizes, friendly wait staff, and a live jazz pianist made this dining experience truly special.
Weve been there twice and enjoyed both food and service. Great atmosphere, live music in the evening... Highly recommended!
Best polish food in Canada, also very handsome server Marcos. I would like to know if hes single.
It was a bad experience as the tall white guy gave us super small table for 3 people as we didn t make a reservation while other tables remained empty. Then he was heard mocking with his staff about my calling the big table a booth. He was either a bully or downright racist. I called him out on his behaviour when leaving, he wasn t even sorry.
Legit polish food in the middle of Montreal. My wifes family is Polish. Weve had lots of opportunities to enjoy polish cuisine. Stash Cafes offerings held their own against the family recipes we were accustomed to. Really good, genuine Polish food.
This place has a very lovely atmosphere, and the food selection is excellent. This is one of the best restaurants in the region, highly recommend the go bki
Very cosy and authentic Polish food! The live music was also awesome!
This is the best restaurant I ve been to in Montreal. I have gone twice now and will be coming back again. The food is authentic, good portions, and good prices. The atmosphere is also great especially with the live piano player. Service is on point, but honestly, I m here for the culinary and atmospheric knockout, and this place delivers a TKO every time.
Great live music, atmosphere, service, food, and beverage, whats not to like?! Everything tastes hearty and great, but I strongly recommend the breaded beef roll and potato pancake! And the peach cobbler!
Beautiful busy and lively restaurant, when I went they had live piano music. They allowed me to place a takeout order which they dont normally do so I was very appreciative of that. The beef stroganov was amazing very peppery and hearty. The side latkes are excellent as well as the julienned beet veggie side. My wife really enjoyed her mushroom krokiety. Would definitely come back again and dine-in next time. Highly recommended! We did takeout b/c we were traveling with our baby and one of us had to stay home and watch him.
Casper was so great he was our server and fantastic. He was attentive and they had a super fun personable piano player. The food was the best and the environment a vibe.
Place is fantastic. Food, live piano, atmosphere.
This is my favourite restaurant hands down. I ve eaten there for years and have always had a terrific time, delicious food and great ambiance. The service is consistently on point and the pianist is the cherry on top. It s really a phenomenal spot :)
Amazing polish food. The pierogies and cabbage rolls are exactly like my polish/Ukranian grandparents made them. Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid friendly.
Awesome Polish food! I highly recommend eating here if youre interested in trying polish food. Very nice interior and the staff were very friendly
Delicious
Delicious food and amazing service.
Delicious, authentic Polish food in a cozy environment. Looking forward to returning.
Great food and great service! The peach cobbler is a must.
Honestly I cant speak to the food, but the service was just awful and rude. We arrived and asked for a table for 4. The restaurant was half empty and they said they just have to clean a table. After 10 minutes we were seated which was fine, but then after being seated we were simply left there. I assumed they forgot about us so 15 minutes after being seated we went up to ask for some water at least. They said they were busy but then proceeded to go to another table behind us that just finished their meal to ask them if they want tea. We waited another 5 minutes while they served people around us their drinks while we still havent gotten water at the table, nevermind putting our orders in. So we left... Wont be returning.
amazing service and delicious food
Everything was absolutely delicious. My friend and I split the beef stroganoff and pork schnitzel I ate every crumb on the plate. The atmosphere is unbeatable. I love the piano player. Couldn t recommend this place highly enough!
Cozy restaurant in the old port
Good location. Food above average but not stunning or stand out from our experience.
Lovely busy place. Food was reasonably priced and plentiful. The schabowy was absolutely perfect. Go bki had too much marjoram, but were very good. Great apple crumble. Service was great and the live piano was just lovely. Note to other clients that comment on how great the piano man was - give the man a tip! He deserves it!
Amazing restaurant! Food is very delicious! Friendly staff! We ordered 2 beer, appetizer (potato pancakes) - just try it! Pierogies, sausages, and for desert peach and apple pies. I would say, it was best dinner that I had in Montreal. Food
Excellent food with good prices.
Fantastic food and service in a cozy little spot near the river. The food was delicious and light, you were full without feeling uncomfortably stuffed. Great selection. We had the al acarte items for lunch. Two savory fried crepes filled with mushrooms in one and beef in the other, covered with a light and creamy mushroom sauce. Potato salad and a fresh greens salad included. Wonderful wine and drink list as well. Fantastic!
My wife and I came here on Friday night with a last minute reso. They were great with calling me back after I left a message. All the food was excellent. I got the veal schnitzel and my wife got the taster plate with a couple of a bunch of things. We also shared the beet consumé and the pickled herring which was my favourite of the night! The live piano was a great touch and lots of fun. Really great night!
True gem! Delicious food, quick service, friendly staff. Beautiful decor, family atmosphere. Great location. Highly recommended
Authentic Polish dishes. We really enjoyed the dill pickle martinis. The pianist was excellent.
This is probably one of the best little gems in Montreal. Located in the old port of the city, it doesn t disappoint. Run by a nice family. Every-time I come here, I feel like I am eating a home cook meal. Feels like home, great atmosphere and always amazing food. The live piano player adds the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place.
Wonderful Eastern European food served in an old building with cozy charm. Bar is limited, but what is available is pretty good. Service was friendly and efficient. The piano player added a nice feel to the already intimate setting.
Try the pierogies! They are amazing! I had the maple whiskey for dessert, crazy good. When I mentioned how much I liked it the waiter showed me the bottle and topped me off! Love this place!
Amazing authentic Polish cuisine. For Eastern Europeans tourists - must visit restaurant in Montreal. Tastes like in childhood! Food : 5/5
Great food and service !
Such a cute and cozy place! If you want to try some great polish food, this is the place to check out. Even for it being a Wednesday, it was quite busy and you can tell the severs were working hard. Because of the busy atmosphere, our order was initially deleted which resulted in a slightly longer wait. Due to this, we ended up getting free dessert for the trouble which was so nice of them to do. The service was fantastic and our waitress was very kind even when handing all the food, bar and cleaning all at the same time. If you re ever in Montreal, visiting here is a must ( just make sure to make a reservation)
As a Polish person myself, I can confidently say that this is the best spot for Polish food in all of Canada. I haven t food like this since I was back in Poland. The service is too notch and the live music with inside scenery makes for an excellent experience!
Delicious but please update the menu and put more options .
Remarkable service, everything is delicious, I really recommend it, it s worth the visit.
Had an amazing time here with my partner.. the atmosphere was great the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the imported beers to go with the meals. The live piano player.. all in all a really great experience and will definitely revisit soon.
Probably my favorite restaurant in Montreal. The cheese/potato and the beef pierogis were in a league of their own. The pork kotlet was a chef s kiss. Best espresso martini I ve had. The peach cobbler was incredible. Great pickle-back shots too. Would 100% go back Vegetarian options: There are some veggie pierogis. The potato pancakes were also vegetarian. Won t be disappointed
What a wonderful place to eat authentic Polish food or enjoy a drink and listen to the piano player.
The food, atmosphere and service are amazing. Thank you
We lucked out and were able to get a table. They were very accommodating and the piano player at front was fun to talk to definitely added to the warm vibe. Food was delicious and worth it
tasty and inviting
Food preparation is authentic and expertly prepared, just like my grandmothers. The service was attentive, personable, and professional. When in Montreal, a mandatory dining stop.
Very good restaurant with very good service
What a great little find! The atmosphere was so cozy; live piano the entire time. The staff was friendly and efficient. But best of all, the food was fantastic! I really enjoyed their tasting platter as well as the beef stroganov. I also really loved their pierogi with beef! I absolutely loved my experience and will recommend to anyone who is looking to try Eastern European food!
Fantastic food, the staff was pleasant and helped us with our dietary restrictions (Gluten free). The beer was delicious. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
We loved the place, with live pianist and amazing food and service
The best pierogies I ve ever had! My father grew up in Warsaw and we ve had lots of pierogies over the years, but these are the most delicious, tender, tasty flavourful pierogies I ve ever had! I paid many compliments to the staff and was told that their grandmother was in the kitchen making the pierogies! Surprisingly my favourite pierogies were the ones with sautéed mushrooms inside, I tried three different kinds and they were all delicious. Highly recommended, I loved the crêpes as well.
