Enjoyed a nice meal with colleagues and had good service. The atmosphere was nice but food was OK to me.

The waitress was stupid, no smile. Kitchen ok

Food was terrible. The chicken tenders platter is a scam the pieces of chicken were heavily battered paying just for batter and not chicken. The short Rib seafood pappardelle is a cheap version of short rib steak and the taste was so bad. The worst experience ever. Choose another location, Dont waste your Money.

This place was fantastic. They even managed to find American college football games for me in the bar. Very welcoming and nice bartender with great food recommendations.

Had a lunch with a friend at this place and food was amazing we got cowboy steaks with oignon soup, but what really bothered is that we were first to walk in, and service took so much lt felt like restaurant was full.

We used to be regulars but since they reopened the service and quality has gone downhill. Bar stools backs are very low and uncomfortable. We had a very bad experience there 2 weeks ago and dont plan on going back. Too bad!

I havent been since the pandemic started. I am very disappointed with the ribs, which were the specialty of the franchise for many years and the reason why I went there. In November 2024 the ribs that evening were so dry and overcooked that the fork and knife could not separate the meat from the bone. Terrible. Before the pandemic, the meat came apart on its own and was very juicy. I had confirmation from a family member that the restaurant in Quebec is the same. I dont think Ill go back there for a while. Damage.

I loved the area. A very warm atmosphere and very welcoming staff. The kitchen made my mouth water. I had the best time possible. The best grilled meat Ive had since coming to Canada.

It still carries the old steakhouse ambiance well, this branch does need a bit of maintenance but the service is some of the best youll come across in Montreal , friendly, quick servers who know exactly what their doing . Food is good enough and prices are reasonable

Very good food with generous portions. Ordinary service with long waits, no one to refill the water and we seem to be bothering by asking for the bill.

Good cooking of meats, impeccable service

Inflation has gotten the best of Baton Rouge it seems: pebbles of maple salmon and powder of goat cheese on my salad priced at 25$+ was underwhelming to say the least. The crème brûlée was literally burnt: the too crust was black and it tasted like smoke,... disappointing. Baton Rouge needs to do better if they want to keep their clientele.

A successful evening overall. On the other hand, prices have really increased since our last visit. The only downside was a lot of dough on my chicken tenders. Be careful, very slippery floor towards the toilets. Parking: Located in an open concept shopping center area. So very busy.

Visited the Montreal Rue de Jockey location. My husband had a pasta and I had the steak. Both were good. The steak was on the small size. The only comment I would make is that the seasonal vegetables need to be seasoned and steamed more. Mine were almost raw and bland. The baked potato in the skillet was very good.

Service: 10/10 Food: 8/10 Price is a little expensive, but you get a large portion! I highly recommend getting the espresso martini :) Drinks and Dinner for two people costed around $100

The seafood short rib pappardelle (fall special) was delicious if a touch oily at the end, Service was impeccable.

Food was good, but I have had better. I had the rib steak and found the quality was so so. Veggies are boiled and big - creativity or taste in making them a little more special would have been nice. The atmosphere is what you make it, and we had a nice time and did not feel pressured to leave.

Please dont go to Bâton Rouge Decarie! This was my first time going to any Bâton Rouge restaurant. I bought cod with celery root puree and three hamburgers for my kids, totalling $82.78. Could you imagine my kids couldnt eat the burgers, they were stale and dry, so that was a lot of money that went in the garbage. The puree was sour and the cod I honestly didnt realize I got the cod, it was so small, it was three tiny pieces, looking like left over bits. I was home already and didnt have the energy to drive back to the restaurant. So I called, I didnt get any support, I was transferred to the manager he/she never took the call and they hung up eventually. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Know when to leave you in peace if you want to talk to your co-diner. Perfect spot to have a dinner in peace. All the recommendations. Will definitely come back. Steak and mash potatoes are perfect.

Overall a very solid choice for a restaurant. The only thing is that in the kids menu, they have pasta options. It used to be a very nice portion for a kid, for some reason, they made it incredibly small. My daughter had to eat 2 plates of it and she is not a big eater. Very strange to me that they decided to give such a tiny portion. Its just pasta for Gods sake.

The burger meat was burnt and the fries was of poor old quality and not fresh ! rotten. If you complain nothing is done to compensate the customer. Once our sever wasn t that kind too. I will never ever go back there again. Waste of time and no fun to be there!

We must have had the wrong day, July 13...our 2 burgers took 45 minutes to be served...after tables arrived after us...probably forgotten or reheated...The waiter tried to stop us reassure several times...it happened...in short...forgotten experience...18% service which borders on a scam....

We went to Baton Rouge Decarie and Decided to sit in the bar area at a table and a waitress came over to say hello and give us a menu and I then asked for the bar menu (as Baton Rouge is my go to restaurant and I frequent this restaurant at least 1-2 times per week.) The waitress returned to ask if we wanted to order any drinks. One of the ladies ordered a diet coke, the other lady asked if Sangria was included in the 5 a 7 drink menu. As the waitress was new and she did not have any one mentoring her, and did not know anything about the special drinks available, she went to inquire and another waitress came over and told us that Sangria was not a part of this 5 a 7. My friend then told her that she would pass on the sangria and I ordered a vodka with white cranberry juice using the vodka that was available with the 5 a 7. The waitress returned with a diet coke, that was flat (it was replaced by a bottle of diet Pepsi) a vodka and cranberry juice and a sangria which was NEVER ordered, it appeared that the waitress was not paying attention to our requests and she took the drink back. We ordered our food, I ordered a Louisiana chicken salad and the waitress asked if I wanted the salad dressed or not and I ordered the salad dressed and extra dressing on the side. One friend ordered a Liver steak with a baked potatoe and my other friend ordered a grilled Calamari entree. Our ordered arrived everything was ok except my salad that came with NO dressing on top, I ordered it with dressing. The waitress just barked at me that she would get some extra dressing. When our bills arrived I checked me bill as I saw that it was not the usual price. (I mentioned previously that I eat at Baton Rouge at least 1-2 times per week and I know what my bill usually is. I was charged for a grey goose vodka (I asked for the regular 5 a 7 vodka). When the waitress came over to charge our credit cards, I told her that I was charged for the grey good vodka. It was not the $5.00 difference but it s the principal and I asked to speak to the manager, Jimmy. He came over and I reiterated the story of the vodka and he just argued that was what I ordered, my friends told him that is not what I ordered, I never ordered grey goose. He then brought up the Sangria which was returned to the bar, that was not our fault it was that of the waitress. I told him about my salad, and he just argued with me about the fact that it always comes without dressing. I told him that I come here 1-2 times per week and that is what I usually order and he just told me that I was wrong and if I am not happy don t come back again. How do you tell someone who is a regular customer not to come back again. We found he was very rude and belligerent. There is a way to talk to customers and it is not to tell customers not to come back! One customer will tell another and then the word gets out. I have reached out to the customer service department but I have not heard back from them!!

Outstanding service and reasonable wait time for a full Thursday evening with no reservations for us; I was disappointed with my Tempura shrimp which is better to order in a good Japanese restaurant for lighter frying; My Caesar salad had a fishy aftertaste... No idea why. My elderly father ordered a steak without looking at the price, the lowest price, at $75.00. His portion was still huge for him, and cooked as requested. We will definitely return, but for more affordable specialties. (Burgers)

Second time to this location while visiting Montreal. The appetizers of steak tartar and tempura shrimp were 10/10, both delicious! The main course Thai steak salad was just ok nothing asian tasting about it which was a bit disappointing. The dressing was underwhelming and probably wouldn t order it again. Service was great, food came out fast, and overall another super meal. One small thing id recommend to the restaurant is that they need to turn the music volume down, it was just too loud. I will definitely return to this location when back in Montréal again and would recommend it to anyone!

Every times i eat there i am happy cause the food is really good. Best ribs, best baked potato! Very good service too. Vegetarian options: Garlic bread and cauliflower wings mixt salad with blue cheese dressing are a big yes!

The personnel is very friendly, it did not exceed my expectations. If your specialty is Meat, I could say that there are better places. We ordered 2 cuts of meat and most of the meat was burnt, the squid starter in the same way, very burnt. the vegetables were raw.

Impeccable service! Varied menu, all dishes are good. We really liked the lobster mafalda. The beer is served quickly and is very cold. There is a parking lot directly in front of the restaurant. Next time we will try their terrace. Looking forward to returning to this restaurant!

The steaks are not it. Better done home by my husband. They used to be good now very average.

I was there with a group to watch a soccer match. They have TVs for sporting events, so thats cool. It was good but nothing more. Im not particularly impressed with the kitchen. That being said, maybe its less my type of restaurant (steakhouse) and I was expecting a more traditionally Cajun menu given the name of the restaurant. Or maybe it was the stomach upset I had later that evening. I dont know. The shrimp tempuras were good. The ribs were good. The fries were pretty forgettable in my opinion; julienned too thin and small, and they were not consistent enough to taste like potatoes. The coleslaw was original and tasty! Courteous service. Beautiful terrace.

Ive been a Baton Rouge fan for many years, but the restaurant near Décarie is the worst. The last two times I went there, the ribs were overcooked and had very little sauce.

Mike the bar tender is simply the best! Always taking great care of all needs, swiftly and politely and he s quite funny too! It s worth going just for his amazing service!

We love the liver at the bar. I take one home for my father in law since he cant visit. Its the best and will keep coming back.

Ribs good but empty plate with expensive prices. No bread, no gravy, no vegetables.. I exchanged my fries for mashed potatoes, it tasted like a can, I didnt have the coleslaw that was supposed to come with it. I simply wanted a 1/2 rack, I got 1 1/2 rack and of course they charged me the price. For a restaurant like this its disappointing.

After 40 years, Baton Rouge is DONE for me. Its been around ten years that the quality, quantity and cooking have been deficient. The ribs are overcooked and dry...difficult to chew. Their burger the same. The prime rib is substandard and tasteless. I now favor Sterlings Steakhouse. A little more expensive... but 100% better. In your response to my comment, you persist in saying that you offer quality food while I affirm that your quality has been decreasing for around fifteen years. The manager in charge was insulted by my comment. You are not listening to my comment. For me, Baton Rouge is definitely OVER. Your quality has been declining for 15 years... and I dont see how Baton Rouge will be able to return to the quality of its origins!

We have been in the restaurant for business dinner. It was very busy and the environment was very noisy. The food was very good.

Le service a été rapide et nous avons passé un très bons moments. Merci à ce serveur gentil et et serviable !

First time here and I was very satisfied :) The servers are really attentive and professional, it s a real pleasure! The food is good but the menu is quite simple.

Everything was good. Not fantastic. The potato was very small and the beef in the beef dip a little fatty. The chips with the spinach dip were home made and delicious. The dip was very good too. I am not sure it every was worth the price but it was enjoyable. I would recommend eating in the restaurant and not doing take out though.

Took a while for the food to come out. Like 45 minutes after the appetizers. Ordered soft drinks Pepsi was flat and tasted like the bag ran out of syrup. The dish I ordered the 14 oz roast was cold must let it sit there while they prepared the other dish s. My colleagues steamed Broccoli was over-steamed. Not the best restaurant out there. Thats why stop coming to this restaurant brand. Waste time and money.

Ive been to this location a few times and the food has always been enjoyable (tgis time included). I would recommend for a date night or a small family dinner. However, I would not recommend for a large group reservation. Was there for this sort of event recently and our tables were not ready on time. This happens and is understandable, but the front entrance where we were asked to wait was overcrowded, not just with our group, but several other customers (it was quite overwhelming). Finally we spoke up, as the person we were celebrating that day had a mobility issue and it was important that we got them comfortable...however they could still only sit a portion of us and others had to stand hovering around the tables. When everyone was seated, orders took long to be taken and to roll out. Not one of the 4 children were offered their ice cream included in their meals. One table chose not to have dessert or coffee, so it was just assumed that no one else did, so our table was not offered anything and bills were just brought out. I still asked if I could have a cheesecake to go, but was brought it on a plate and not in a to-go box, despite the fact that everyone was clearly leaving at this point. I feel mishaps can occur morr easily during big group events and that is just how it is sometimes, but it just doesnt give me the urge to have another big celebration there.

The food is good except... The portion of ribs is 1/3!!! compare the other previous times. Price increase, ok, but cut 2/3 portion!! My daughters burger is PINK!!! and dry!!! We asked the waiter if its normal for the hamburger meat to be pink. The answer was yes!!!! But no one asked us to cook the hamburger... Conclusion: Baton rouge, never again

We call Monday to make a reservation for Friday dinner, they dont take reservations, and no problem, just show up. We arrive on Friday, a few tables taken but we are refused because we havent reserved Really disappointing, I know where not to go anymore.

The food was very good. The young waitress was charming attentive and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and happy with a lot of children there without it being noisy or disruptive.

Steak was mouth watering , really do miss this place. Friendly staff & speedy service. Places at home in Barbados cant compare.
