This place was really cool, cute, and cozy. Super nice staff, with the best salmon tartar I ve ever had in Montreal. The server went above and beyond and we enjoyed my friend s birthday there. Highly recommended for intimate nights with lighter food.

Was excited to come to this ndg neighbourhood wine restaurant with the husband. We had reservations and it did take a while before our table was ready, but thats totally fine. We ordered quite a few plates, and most were really tasty, but my problem with this place is the pricing. They had an elote appetizer and we picked that . It was 14$ on the menu, which I thought was expensive for a street food corn item, but thought the portion would be big. The server then tells us its 14$ per portion. Thats 28$ for two portions, but I thought maybe each portion would still be a good amount . We get the portions. Its one whole corn cob cut in half. Each portion was HALF a corn cob. Sure with some sort of feta , cilantro and oil mixture on top, but still. I really didnt know what to think, our server was so sweet but I felt like I was scammed. Its peak corn season and it doesnt cost much right now and we were charged 28$ for this one corn cob.

First time visiting Entre Deux and was pleasantly surprised! Food was great, service was great and loved the laid back chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Oh.. and they have espresso martinis on tap? How amazing is that!

This restaurant came highly recommended, but failed to deliver. The menu is set weekly so none of the dishes seen or described in the reviews were available. My dish, the salmon crudo for $28 at dinner time was the equivalent of an entree with 5 slim slices of salmon. That was the only thing on my dinner plate, no salad, no potato, no side of pasta, nothing. Only 5 thin sllices of salmon with tiny dollops of sauce on top. And they were ok, but not exceptional. Far from the great and adequately sized dishes seen in other reviews. My friend asked for beef and got a small piece of meat + garnish. Tasty, but again, it was the only thing on her plate for a $35 dinner plate. These prices, these portions, + tax + the 18% tip. I remain confused as to why it has raving reviews if in order to be fed, you must be willing to order several dishes at high prices. It seems to be a very expensive tapas restaurant where you can pay top price for pretty looking tiny portions.

Entre Deux is a straight 5 on 5, every time, in every way. Food, atmosphere, and service are all electric. Alex and his team take your experience to heart and take the time to make your evening feel personal and special. The vibe/setting is chic and cozy, food is wonderful and so is the service. It s a smaller menu but it always works, it s one of my favourite spots in the city and a real hidden gem.

An absolute gem in the NDG. Had such a fabulous meal there and can t wait to go ahead. Not going to gate keep the fact that this place has the best jambon beurre and espresso martinis of Montreal. RUN don t walk.

My husband and I went for a date night and we were beyond happy with our experience. Our waiter Keiran was one of the best waiters we have come across ever. He did a great job at explaining how everything worked and his recommendations were spot on. He was extremely friendly and not pushy at all, just the right amount of attentive. The food was excellent and we loved every dish. We will for sure be back many times as we live down the road. So happy to have this bistro in NDG!

This was mine and my husbands first time coming to your restaurant and we loved it. The greatest highlight was the service, we sat at the bar and were taking great care of. Wow, what a great experience. I took my Dad here for his birthday and we both loved it. Our meal was excellent. A particular shout out to the service, who hustled all night in a busy restaurant (only 2 of them for bar + tables). We were served by Danica and she was very engaging and courteous, especially given she didnt have much time while mixing drinks and waiting on the bar guests. I would definitely come back, bring friends, you name it. What a gem in NDG. Thank you Entre-Deux!

Great place to eat and have a nice drink!

I had high hopes coming here for my birthday as its the first wine bar in our neighbourhood and boyy was I disappointed. The place was understaffed and the barman and waiter couldnt keep up with orders; we ordered cocktails, appetizers and asked to go over the wines when the food arrived. Somehow our food arrived way before the drinks (which were espresso martinis on tap), and by the time we finished them (maybe 10 minutes) our food was cold and deflated. Not to mention, I was severely unimpressed with our waitress who basically threw the drink at me and told me I should wait for it to settle. The food was ok (the salmon could only be described as a half-done ceviche) , but our last dish really killed me. We ordered the duck, by far the most expensive thing on the menu, thinking that they would provide a decent portion, but no. It was a sliver of a duck breast served with a sad, oily endive for 34 $ ! What a sham. If you want to frequent a decent wine bar in Montreal, skip this place and visit Barbara or Vin Papillon. I promise your stomach and wallet will thank you for it.

Entre-deux has to be our favorite places in Montreal, and it s a 5-star experience all the way. The service is amazing every time! Food is unbelievable for such a small kitchen. Worth every penny and always a great experience.

An astronomical price for a plate and a service far from gastronomic. Small on the plate and under the pretext of tapas, they deliver the plates to you without any effort of coordination. For the service I received I would have preferred to pick up the plates myself. I also witnessed a public scandal during my last visit by the manager and a waitress who tried to humiliate a group of young women to the point that they cried. A tipping story apparently. This demonstrated to me the professionalism of the establishment. Dont go there, you will have a better experience at Crustys across the street or even at McDonalds. We are in the same order of quality....Scam!!!

After much deliberation, I ve decided to write this review, which I hope will serve as a cautionary tale to potential customers. Before proceeding, I would like to point out that I ve been to Entre-Deux numerous times and did not experience any issue prior to the incident. A few months ago, I went to the restaurant with girlfriends for food and drinks. When the time came to pay, one of my friends offered to cover the bill and we all agreed that a 15% tip was fair as the waitress was in no way exceptional and all in all, the service was quite mediocre. As we were getting ready to leave, the manager came to see us and asked in a hostile tone if everything was to our liking. He then slammed the bill on our table and said that our tip was unacceptable and went on and on about how they went above and beyond to accommodate us. My friend who was feeling extremely embarrassed thought that perhaps she miscalculated or pressed the wrong buttons on the machine. Turns out she gave 13% instead of 15% This is outrageous, is he really making a scene for 2%!? I think he realized how out of line his behaviour was because a few moments later, he sent out a new waitress with shots on the house for us. To my disdain, my friend ended up giving in and decided to tip above the 15%. Now I live to tell this story whenever someone mentions over-priced, highfalutin tapas and abominable service. Never will I step foot in that preposterous establishment again! But y all stay safe though.

I had a great dinner here, its a good spot to share plates, tapas style. But you can certainly do your own thing. Very friendly service, great food and solid cocktails. Run but a young and energetic crew, it makes for a good stop to enjoy a good meal. I quite enjoyed the tartar, you get a chicken egg yolk instead of quale which, in my opinion, makes it more unctuous! Wish I was given three pieces of bread with it, instead of 2. We recently dined at Entre-Deux in NDG, Montreal, and it was truly delightful. We were a group of four and sat at the bar. This was the best meal of our 2 week trip to Canada. The standouts were the jambon beurre and tomato carpaccio but every dish was incredible. The staff were lovely and provided us with wine tastings to help choose a glass or bottle. They also gave us with recommendations for things to do and see in Montréal.

Amazing restaurant, amazing food, and great service. Do not skip out on the cheesecake for dessert, whatever you do. It was soooo delicious, tart and sweet and creamy. We also ordered the hatachi crudo, the jambon, cauliflower in a cacio pepe sauce and the pasta. That was enough for 2 people. Small space so definitely recommend a reservation. Totally worth the trek if you are staying downtown.

Entre Deux is in my top 3 restaurants/cafes in Montreal. Their seasonal menus have all been incredible. Their breakfast sandwich and tater tots really hit like no other. You must get the garlic sauce with the tater tots, whether its for dinner or breakfast! Their most iconic item on the menu was their pouding chomeur, with the homemade whip and strawberries! I really hope its brought back next summer!!! Their wine selection is also filled with imports, which is a great way to discover new local wines. Staff is also super approachable and sweet! As a vegetarian, they have more than enough options. Typically their pasta of the week is a great option. 10/10! I have officially brought all my friends here, and we will keep coming back!!

Truly THE best coffee in town for any lover of very good third wave coffee. So much so that we took a mega bag of their coffee beans to take home. The meals are incredible too. High quality ingredients, original meal ideas and so tasty. You wont want to go anywhere else in Montreal for your cappuccino or latte. Guarantee !

Rabbit Schnitzel Sandwich . I have to say that this was a first for me, having a schnitzel sandwich but made with rabbit. I was pleasantly surprised tho on the taste, texture and flavours of this sandwich. @entredeuxmtl really has a cute little spot and its great for the ndg area. Cant wait to go visite for dinner after the lockdown. Great first visite today and Ill have to be sure to go back.

A must-see when you are in NDG. Impeccable service and food. The menu changes regularly, but the service remains excellent each time you visit. Very original cocktail list. This little gem quickly became one of our favorites. However, please note that the tables are for a maximum of 5 people, so the restaurant cannot accommodate large groups.

Happy to have tried this adorable spot in NDG. I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage, aioli tater tots and a pistachio latte. The sausage has a lot of different herbs and spices and therefore may not be for everyone. Their coffee is good (their machine is La Marzocco, if that means anything to you), I would drop by just to grab a latte and read a book during the day. I ll be back to try their dinner menu and wine

What a beautiful experience. Not the type of experience that overwhelms you, the one that make you feel right at home with your peers. A distinguished and friendly service, a pleasure to have been guided by a member of the Entre-Deux family. Eveyone there seems at home, all part of the big picture. The food created by Chef Monast was delicious, especially the sauces... those sauces will make me dream of umami. Thanks for this glorious experience, I will be back ! EDIT (march 18 2022): I just heard that chef Monast wont be part of the team anymore. Im extremely sadden by the news, I will visit his next restaurent without a fault. I dont see Entre-Deux keeping their high food standard and creativity without him.

All I can say is amazing! Food and drinks were excellent and they have a great wine list. We tried everything on their menu between us and there was no bad dish! Atmosphere was great too, perfect evening spot for a date or with friends. They only have tables for 4 or 2 which is a bit disappointing but hoping they use the empty space in the back to accommodate larger groups. I ll be back for sure!

My bf and I had an impromptu dinner date at Entre-Deux and really enjoyed it. The food was very tasty (and original touches) and fresh. We sat at the bar. Service was great. It was a youngish hipster crowd that night, we are in our 40s.

This is a nice little bar with a cozy/sincere atmosphere. The menu, pricing and portion sizes are targeting upscale market but I m not sure they re truly keeping up with the competition in terms of decor, atmosphere and overall quality. They have lots of vegetarian options which is good. But one thing that I didn t appreciate was constant questions from 3 different people saying is everything alright? Was hard to have a decent conversation.

The service and food is excellent! My only suggestion would be to have more comfortable seats at the bar.

We ordered the lemongrass beef tartare (which was the standout), oysters, sauteed market vegetables, and pasta with lardon in creamy pesto. The food was good but portions were small. My Roses cocktail was quite nice, but the glass of Pinot noir was not the best Ive had. Service was attentive though a bit slow from the kitchen. We notified them of a piece of metal bristle in our food; they took it very seriously and even provided complimentary dessert. Hope they get rid of the nearby nest where the dozens of baby wasps were flying from.

Huge scam. For anybody that knows good food, just stay away from this place. They just give you very small portions of unimaginative and tasteless food by using the tapas to share marketing. We took a buratta and had no bread with it. They charged us 5 $ for one piece of bread to go with the buratta. A small eggplant with sauce thrown on there is at least 15$. Just dont go there

Aside their excellent coffee, their sandwiches are BOMB! We ordered the Sandwich Nordique and the Sandwich Halloumi to go. The shrimp and herb filling of the Nordique was refreshingly delicious, and the Halloumi Sandwich was melt-in-your-mouth perfection Just saying, theres something addictive about their potato bread too Outdoor seating is available for a sunny afternoon lunch, and their staff are super friendly!

Just tried this lovely place. I had the cucumber and radish salad which was very refreshing. The iced latte which was good and the banana bread which was excellent. I m just sad it was the only piece left - I would ve eaten a few just then and there . My friend had the cold cuts sandwich which she thoroughly enjoyed. All the severs were super polite and chill. They have a little terrasse but more seats inside. Everything seemed clean. I will definitely be going back to try their sandwiches and their banana bread (I hope they keep making it!). They also serve alcohol if you want more than coffee.

Just perfection!! Wow!! If you are a local in NDG you must must try l entre deux for dinner. Well known for its daytime menu, you will be blown away by their exquisite sharing plates. At first glance you might think the menu is limited but each dish is amazing, fresh and unbelievable taste sensations. The cocktails are unique and delicious! You won t be able to have just one. Loved the shrimp salad, sea bass crudo and the braised pork with roasted fennel. But the best part is their version of chômeurs pie OMG food orgasm!!

I went with my partner during a trip to Montreal. The host and wait staff were absolutely lovely, very personable and attentive. You can tell how much they care about quality of service. The cocktails were out of this world (really unique and very flavourful, mine had a foraged pine tincture in it - wow!) and the appetizers and main courses were phenomenal. We had the sea bass and pork chop (both delicious)! Will definitely return when we are back in Montreal and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and experience!

Best food in NDG, actually, way up there in taste and flavor profiles. Go there, and bring your dog on the Terasse. Delightful staff, fantastic menu, with an eclectic mix of dishes. There is something for everyone: we had a liver pâté starter and then rigatoni with mushrooms. We closed with a pudding chômeur that was off the charts.

Simply fabulous. EVERYTHING is delicious, sparkling wine, cocktails, daily specials (Brussels sprouts, rigatoni...), pudding chômeur. An unmissable address, full of finesse, quality, and perfect service to top it all off.

Absolutely incredible evening!! Ricardo was fantastic and his negroni was outstanding!! Alex was kind, hospitable and knowledgeable! The food was out of this world! From the tatter tots, to the beef tartar, to the pasta with squash purée, to the wine and dessert! ..... This new place is a MUST in Montreal!!!

Visited this place with a couple of my girlfriends. The ambience isnt something to write home about. The food, now that is something to write a review and tell the world about. We had the small fish (forgot the name) first photo, the beef tartar, rabbit, seafood pasta (that nights special) and ended with an Apple Crumble. The serving size is not big. They are made to share. Between three females four main dishes and a dessert were perfectly enough. I personally liked the beef tartar more than the duck because that was the exact texture and taste I was craving. The duck was excellent too. The pasta - and the fish was alright. Dividing the bill between the three of us + tip was in the $55/ person range.

What a great place! Visited this little but charming café for dinner and was gladly surprised. Every single one of the dishes we ordered was amazing. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the conversation with the bar tender. Great date spot, to come with a friend or even on your own!

Food was exceptional. The service was terrible. The chefs carry the show but service was so bad we won t go back.

I highly recommend this place for coffee, for cocktails & wine, and the BEST food! Every time I ve gone, we ve had immaculate service and the staff always makes sure the table has a great time. Truly amazing !!

wonderful service and nice vibe the food is well portioned tapas style (between 2 people, I suggest 4-5 plates if you are hungry but 6-7 if you re starving) groups of 4 are seated at tables whereas groups of 2/couples are seated at the bar, which was not very comfortable for my pregnant friend it may be best to keep your coat with you as coats are placed on a rack right next to the kitchen so they will smell quite strongly like food overall very nice new spot in NDG and hopefully they can pivot to take out and survive yet again this new wave of the pandemic
