Disappointed. On the occasion of Montréal à table 2024 the server suggests sharing the dishes we agree except that the portions are small to share but correct if not sharing difficult to have complete/perfect bites. Tasty sea urchin pannacota but the beetroot starter was too vinegary. Leg of deer not tender. Tasty chocolate mousse. Canelés as well as small choux pastry offered with the compliments of the house. The accompaniment of the correct wines makes the Chablis of Malandes unforgettable. My last visit more than 10 years ago, the next time there is no rush

Superb atmosphere in a small neighborhood restaurant. The staff is very friendly (special mention to Clément!) and always attentive to special requests. The cuisine is excellent. The chef is able to make a vegetarian discovery menu if certain people have dietary preferences among a group.

Excellent gourmet restaurant, the tasting menu was simply to die for! Impeccable service, thoughtful food and wine pairing, simply perfect!

Halfway between bistro and gourmet, this restaurant offers a diverse menu to suit all tastes. The menu seems to change often and seafood is very present. The wine offering seems good. As for the meal, the cooking was good, including for the Venison which is too often problematic elsewhere... for my part I would have liked a little more accompaniments and sauce (but be careful: I didnt leave hungry , and my dish was not dry at all!). Everyone should find what they are looking for there. Thank you for the pleasant evening. Vegetarian options: Some dishes suitable for vegetarians. Lots of fish for those who dont want meat. Kid-friendliness: Not especially for children, but that shouldnt be a problem given the diversity of the menu.

Exquisite! Small portions but exquisite. The grilled octopus is so good that I think I dreamed of it... Too bad this restaurant is not in my neighborhood. The service was impeccable: relaxed and discreet with a suggestion of a film (The Free State of Jones on the War of Cession)

Wow the food is exquisite

I have been several times through the years now, and have never been disappointed! The food always fresh, delicious and elevated. The service has always been exceptionally friendly and professional and the ambiance within the resto is both casual and inviting. The loaf of bread provided to take home is a nice touch that is always appreciated and never goes unoticed. Le St- Urbain is a true little hidden gem of the neighbourhood.

The menu is superbly well defined; it makes our mouths water right away. Simple, refined, locally produced products and affordable prices. Subtle tastes are married with finesse. Its delicious. We had a blast. And what a cellar! Bravo for delighting our taste buds without the wallet taking a big hit.

We shared the charcuterie plate, the burrata, the cheese plate and the small cannelés as a pair. Everything was excellent.

We have been coming regularly since the opening. Unfortunately, tonight was not at all the usual great experience. 1 hour 10 minutes before the order is taken. 1h30 to receive the bread. Dishes either bland or too salty. Beetroot salad with 4-5 beetroot wedges.

Love the food in this location and nice customer service. They give a generous amount of food. I usually order the shawarma plate and I never get disappointed!

Great local French Bistro, elevated tastes for a reasonable price. The meals where very well paired in flavours. Large wine selection as well. Service was good but they appeared a little understaffed with servers, but those there hustled and were friendly getting the food out. $190 + tip with bottle of French wine , a craft beer, 1 appetizer, 2 mains, 2 deserts. Vegetarian options: Gnocchi with shiitake mushrooms in pesto and pistachio cream sauce.

I have to change my opinion after the last experience I had. Poor service and overly salty food in minimal portions. It seems as if the waitress had decided to take a dislike to us. Too bad because we appreciated it before. But we wont be going back again. And they probably dont mind.

Been there couple of times over the years. The food is very good but maybe a bit to fancy for my taste sometime but thats just me. The staff is very nice and the owner is a wonderful lady. Also take the churros with the salted caramel for dessert, its a must!

My fiancé and I celebrated here for our engagement, and let me tell you, St-Urbain did not disappoint. The atmosphere is quaint, clean, and I can guarantee anything you get on the menu will be absolutely mouth watering and phenomenal. (We literally cleaned our plates for each entrée) I live in the states and my entire family is from Montréal and I cannot stress enough how much I have missed authentic French/Quebec cuisine over the past few years I have not been able to visit due to COVID. The service was excellent and we cant thank Arianna and Alice enough for their attentive, professional, and genuinely authentic service that they provided all night. They both made us feel welcome and like family the second we walked through the doors. This is definitely one of our new favorite spots in Montréal and we will absolutely be visiting again in the future. Thank you ladies again for making our special night one to remember. This experience will definitely be going down in our books as one of the most memorable meals of our lifetime.

The quality of the dishes and their presentations are always as good and appetizing. Prices have increased in the same way as other good restaurants. We are finding the value for money before the pandemic.

Excellent restaurant! There were 4 of us, my father having invited us. I had the scallop tartare as a starter and phew it was really good and tasty with fresh produce. As a main course I had the very well cooked octopus. I know that cooking this seafood is not easy so congratulations to the cook it was tender and tasty. My girlfriend had the beef steak and she loved it. My father and his girlfriend had the seafood platter but the only downside was that they said that the quantities on the platter had decreased since the last time they came. The dishes were well presented. The wines were served at the right temperature. I loved the 2014 red burgundy, it had a nice evolution, really at its peak. Impeccable service, the lady took off my coat on arrival, the welcome was impeccable. I will go back. Also we have a beautiful visual on the kitchen. Well done to the whole team!

My friend had Le St Urbain cater for his wedding anniversary, and what an evening it turned out to be. Every single dish they served up was fresh, creative and refined. I especially enjoyed the Salmon Tartar. They know their stuff and serve very high quality deliciousness. Recommended.

I have to be honest. Reserved a place on the terrace, nice temperature, excellent service, menu 4-5 choices, which I like because they offer their specialties. I had a cocktail, beef steak plate, coffee and cheesecake. $90 before tip. Quality, taste, quantity and experience were all worth more than $50-$60 in my opinion and other experiences elsewhere. It wasnt bad but way overpriced for the whole experience. I hope this will help you make your choice. Enjoy your food !

A little expensive but excellent service and very good

First restaurant experience in almost 2 years and it did not disappoint. They verified the vaccine proof immediately, sat us and then we enjoyed a fantastic meal. We ordered 4 courses of food from the chalkboard menu and enjoyed an incredible bottle of local wine. We love everything about this restaurant! A real gem.

Incredible place, warm atmosphere, what can we say about the well presented dishes and especially the flavors that we find there. We had the octopus, the blood sausage and the donuts for dessert...the donuts just for that, some people are going back. The only thing, there isnt a big choice of non-alcoholic cocktails.

Not only are the servers and staff are friendly and wonderful but they re so accommodating for us! We came from Toronto to celebrate a birthday and helped us with the menu. One of our friends was Vegan and was able to make such a simple along with beautiful dish to accommodate her dietary restrictions. Above all things.... everything was absolutely delicious! An experience like no other. A menu featuring Quebec ingredients. Prepared with care and served by a dynamic and motivated team. You definitely have to try the Jerusalem artichoke ravioli, duck confit, and wild mushrooms. Tis the season to enjoy the tastes of the local harvest.

Superb dining experience. The hanger steak with peppercorn sauce was delicious and the beignet with caramel for dessert should be illegal. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating- our waiter explained the entire menu to us in English as our French was not so great. 30 min from downtown but worth the drive!

We went to this restaurant a few days ago. Excellent table, good quality. Unfortunately, this will be our last time in this area, which prohibits parking in the surrounding streets between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. So, in addition to the high bill for our dinner, we had to add $75 for the ticket. Sorry guys, but the city is getting rich at your expense.
