Mai Xiang Dumpling Mont-Royal in Montreal

Its delicious, theres something for all budgets and all appetites. I have a small appetite, there are small dishes at good prices. Courteous and fast service. This is a new favorite place for me in the neighborhood.

I recommend this place, we went there and had several dishes such as soups, general tao, dumplings and rolls, everything was delicious and at an affordable price.

I only order from here to go and have never been disappointed. Price is fair, food is good, everyone there is very nice. I would not be against eating in here, the atmosphere is simple but cozy and cute, and the patio looks nice in the summer.

Service was boff, I took the chefs choice and for some reason the texture and taste of the meat was boff. Good atmosphere (probably because of the group we were with). The staff speaks little French so they dont understand that the service from the only waitress who speaks French is horrible. More than 30 minutes to make our order.

An exceptional culinary experience! The customer service was impeccable: attentive, friendly and prompt, which made our visit even more pleasant. As for the food, the dumplings were just perfect. Every bite was well worth the price, which remains very reasonable for the quality offered. For $11.99 there are 15 dumplings. I have tried many restaurants specializing in dumplings, and I can say that this one easily ranks in my top 3. I recommend it without hesitation to all fans of dumplings and Asian cuisine! Congratulations to the team for this great discovery.

Very fast service and adapted to change the sweet and sour soup which was not to my taste for a won-ton for free. We took the chefs choice, the dumplings were ok, but didnt know what was in it. The popcorn chicken was good with the spices that were there. Very fast service.

probably the worst dumplings Ive ever eaten in my life. I dont know if its an anomaly because everyone seems to like it, but I had the fried pork and coriander dumplings and... it just wasnt good... they were overcooked and rubbery and almost inedible. This must really be an error, I cant imagine serving this regularly to customers. no matter if I had an ounce of backbone I would have taken the dish back to the kitchen, but unfortunately Im a big shit so I finished them like a grown-up (almost a serious torture stais vrm deg).

Service and atmosphere were both fine. Dumplings were, TBH, not very good. Soup dumplings were dry, and fried dumplings skin was too tough and bready for our tastes. Two other nearby dumpling places we tried had better food, imho. YMMV.

The food was good, the terrace is pleasant. On the other hand, they mixed up our orders at the table and also when it was time to pay, there were no more utensils and the young man who brought our plates did not take back the dirty ones and we ran out of space on the table.

Very juicy and tasty dumplings. We tried veg, chicken, lamb and shrimp. They served them with their spicy chilli oil, which was delicious. Shrimp tempura and lemonade were great as well. Our server Gurmit was very patient and helped us pick the best items on the menu. Overall pleasant experience.

I was sitting on their terrace and it had barely been two minutes since I finished eating and the waiter asked me to leave because there was a couple waiting... On the other hand, there were other tables available. The server was VERY clumsy!! Please as soon as you finish your dish, leave!!!

We came here with 2 young children in July and had 3 servings of juicy dumplings, 1 serving of regulars and had the edamame entrée. It was delicious. We ate outside when the street was closed off and it was just awesome. It didnt feel like we were in the middle of the city. We were all stuffed, so we had to take the desert to go; We ate it at the park further down on Mont-Royal eastbound, and it was still warm when we ate it.

We came here because it was highly rated. But in reality it was really not good, the spring rolls were cold inside and the ravioli (supposed to be the house specialty) was bland, we didnt recognize the food, and the dough was too thick. Very disappointed!!!

Even the non-juicy (regular) dumplings are super juicy, I recommend the coriander pork regular and the shrink and pork juicy!

I am very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow, despite the fact that the restaurant was not very busy. The servers were rude and seemed not to care about the customers. The food was of poor quality: my dish was cold and lacked flavor. Additionally, the portions were ridiculously small compared to the high prices. I absolutely do not recommend this place and will never go back.

It s been such a long time since I ve had soup dumplings. It was very rainy while we were in Montreal, and these dumplings hit the spot. They were so flavorful and our servers were amazing. We got the pork and chive juicy dumpling. Highly recommend this place

Fried dumplings bathed in oil. No taste. The chefs choice (3 flavors) was just a mix of ground meat. All the same. We had difficulty finishing our plate. Maybe during the day the dumplings are better made but at the end of the service I advise against Disappointed with the 4.7/5 rating Update: stomach ache one hour after eating the Dumplings.

Unbearable service we were put under pressure to order, the waitress didnt understand anything about our order and made a mistake, they came to see us every 5 minutes, we really felt oppressed we really didnt liked the atmosphere. The place is dirty, the floor is dirty, the toilets are creepy The meal was good, only positive point.

the waitress serving us was very rude and didnt seem happy to have us in the restaurant. she was avoiding our table, cold, and refused to speak english to me despite us overhearing her speak english to other clients and colleagues. she was still rude even when the person i was dining with spoke french. we brushed it off as nerves because maybe she was new, but as we ate we noticed how warm and attentive she was with everyone else. weve never had awful service here before today and wont be going back. we felt unwelcome and pushed out.

Very good address. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere warm. Small downside however on the speed of the service - of course, it is very pleasant to have us served quickly, but we received our dishes even though the chips offered for the aperitif were not even finished.

Some of the best won-ton, tao chicken and dumplings Ive had anywhere. The quality and taste of the food here was night and day better compared to the highest rated dumpling restaurant in Chinatown. Good value too.

The dumplings were delicious! The meat was tender and flavourful, and the soup was nice. The skin of the dumpling is quite thin so I broke quite a few of them... We got the lamb and green onion dumplings and I really liked it as I enjoy lamb, but my friend felt that the taste was too strong

I was at this restaurant today, not sure what to expect, but they had some amazing dumplings. Their chicken and cilantro dumplings and tofu dumplings were amazing with the chilli sauce. Their dumping soup was a delicious treat.

Our server Gurmit was so kind and the food was so delicious. We loved it and would go again.

The lunch special of spring rolls, hot and sour soup and 10 handmade steamed pork dumplings was delicious. We received a spicy cabbage salad as a special surprise. It was very good and complemented the other dishes. The wait staff were attentive and efficient. Bilingual service although primary language is French in this area of Montreal. Highly recommend for a delicious and inexpensive meal.

If you want to taste real cheap and excellent dumplings, this is the best place in the entire Montreal region. As an outing as a couple or with friends, this is the best place! The food is served in less than 10 to 15 minutes and the quality of the food is incredible.

Very juicy soup dumplings! I went in to avoid the cold and wasnt disappointed. There is a special offer during the week between 15h and 17h and the food was so good and affordable! The set I took consisted of 10 soup dumplings, a little dumpling soup and a drink (warm or cold)
