Mazzeh’s kabab was one of the best food experience I’ve ever had the food was amazing everything was well cooked and clean. The meat was well seasoned and exactly how a Iranian kabab should be. The space was lovely and properly cleaned. The people were very kind and friendly.
The food is simply outstanding! 5 of us wanted a small place to lunch so we could catch up and we found this gem of a place with just 1 table! It's a take out spot, but they seated us and it was great (some delivery people came in from time to time, but that didn't bother us). You HAVE to try the marinated olives (perfectly spiced) and the yogurt really compliments the stew with rice. The owner was very hospitable, gave us some special Iranian bread for free AND desert yogurt to try. All the dishes were perfectly spiced and finely crafted. If you're looking for some reasonably priced Persian gourmet cuisine, this is your spot! They don't serve alcohol, but you may be able to bring in your own. Highly recommended either way.
Just tried this out for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the warm atmosphere, friendly staff and incredible food at a low price. When I arrived I decided to eat at the restaurant, which is very small, and thoroughly enjoyed it there. Will definitely go back or get takeaway in the future. Highly recommended.
I recently used Mazzeh and had an excellent experience. The app was user-friendly and made ordering a breeze. My order arrived promptly and the delivery person was courteous and professional. Awesome hole in the wall iranian restaurant. Perfect for takeout. Had the Atlas Platter to go with Fasenjoon Chicken. The rice was pillowy-soft, and the kebab koobideh, chicken koobideh and joojeh were flavourful, moist, not dry, and so tender. Will come again and try more from their varied menu!

It was such an amazing experience. We ordered Koubideh, which was the best we've had in Montreal—very delicious and tasty. The staff were incredibly nice, polite, and respectful. The restaurant was very clean with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back! Update: I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant because they initially served hot food in proper dishes, which felt both hygienic and environmentally friendly. Unfortunately, over time, they switched entirely to disposable plastic containers, whether dining in or taking out. Serving hot food in single-use plastic containers is not only less appealing but also raises serious health concerns, as heating plastic can release harmful chemicals into the food. I strongly recommend that management considers returning to safer, reusable dishes for a better customer experience and improved health standards.
The food is amazing, the Kebab the felafel sandwich is really the best , they’re super friendly super nice they make you feel like home, the atmosphere is super nice, there yogurt is also super good !!! I definitely recommend it its the best place to get Persian food ! Loved it 😊

A hole in the whole Persian resto! Delicious kababs! I don t like chicken kababs but I gobbled theirs down. It was juicy, tender and flavorful! The staff working there are the sweetest and I don t even know them personally. I had their chicken koobideh, beef koobideh, soltani and mirza ghassemi. Everything was delicious Went all the way from downtown. Will go again.

Located in a cozy space with a big warm heart Mazzeh brings Persian hospitality to Montreal. With a wide variety of dishes for every palate including what we sampled. The chicken Joojelicious which more than lived up to its name including sangak the incomparable Persian bread. We also tried the lamb Golpa Koobideh also with sangak which we d never seen in this format making it super easy to roll our own sandwiches. For drinks we were adventurous and had the popular Iranian drink Istak that went perfectly with our meal of Persian delicacies. Looking forward to staying warm and well fed at Mazzeh during the long Montreal winter. A small space that also offers catering and takeout as well as deliveries. Shout out to owner/host Masoud who shared his deep knowledge of Persian philosophy around food to feed the body and soul. While you re waiting you can check out the resident beautifully illuminated copy of writings of Omar Khayyam for some impromptu divination. With any luck the message you receive will tell you to return to Mazzeh asap.
Im vegetarian. So the only main dish without meat was falafel sandwitch. There are plenty of vegetarian appetizers though. The food tastes authentic and the ambiance is nice, there are not much place though, I assume in rush hour youd have hard time finding an empty chair but you could always order to go. I ordered my food from uber, first of all the portions are very small if you compare it with the price, like i pay 11 dollars for kashk e bademjan, it was a very very very very small container which wasnt even full ! bread was stale,food was cold, and the restaurant is like 650 meters away from my house... this place used to be good but now unfortunately its a joke

Its simply good. The price, affordable! I take the spicy kebab sandwich, $8,99. Its a small place, a dining table and high chairs (dining bar). But available for takeaway and others. Employees speak English, French and Iranian. The dishes are succulent and inexpensive and you have to try their rice. I recommend. 100/100

I ordered a falafel sandwich and a koobideh sandwich for pickup. The quality was good, there were room to add more falafel in their sandwich though , the price was fair. I recommend to try their sandwiches. With the increasing number of Iranian restaurants in Montreal, the market is becoming more competitive. They should maintain and improve their quality to stay successful.

I explicitly asked for no rice with my order. The owner added two rice to my order without asking me. When asked why he did it, he said he wanted me to get a discount! Nonsense, a behavior youd expect from a scammer, not a business owner.

We were tired and hungry and we just found this place. It is a gem! Seriously! We were there in mid afternoon, people are nice but the food!!! THE FOOD! Is fresh full of flavor the meat is sooo tender. We are definitely going back and Will make the detour! People go! Is all I have to say!

Some of the nicest people own this restaurant - service was impeccable and with care. We ordered the Royal platter and Atlas platter, fesenjan, tabbouleh - all incredibly tasty! Barg was out of this world! The portions were very generous and the quality is excellent.

I ordered Fesenjoon and Gheyme through ubereat. They came without rice . The food quality was a major disapoointment and for the prices they charge, I expected much better, especially about Ghegme ( the taste was terrible). Moreover, they sent a stable pitta bread with my meal.
I placed an order via DoorDash, and it arrived extremely cold. I thought I would get chicken breast like in the picture, but when it arrived, it was something different. The special kebab is identical to koobide, but it has a different name, price, and image.
I recently visited a new Persian restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food is exceptional, with high-quality kababs and perfectly prepared Persian dishes. The food is really delicious - we enjoyed freshly prepared salads and dips and a selection of grilled chicken and beef served with rice and tomato. High quality food and a warm and friendly welcome - what more could you ask for?!

We had the best Fesenjoon outside of Iran. As for the Kabab Koobideh, we definitely have better options in Montreal, so we won t be coming back for the kabab. The place is small and they dont have real dine-in facilities but the staff are amazing. We really enjoyed it and will definitely order Fesenjoon regularly.

After having spent a huge part of my childhood living in Iran, oh how i ve dreamt of one day finding some good authentic persian cuisine that captures the essence of a place i used to be able to call home. After walking into Mazzeh, it felt as if the heartfelt journey i once pursued had come to an end as this restaurant is what i had been looking for after all these dreadful years.
Their old school chicken barg kebab is by far THE BEST kebab Ive ever tasted. Everything blends with one another perfectly and the portion is very honest for the price. The customer service was also good. Will definitely comeback.

Just ordered from Mazzeh. Best Persion food I have ever eaten. Chicken was succulent and nicely spiced and the beef kebab will spiced and fantastic. I dont particularly like chicken but this was so good, I saved a piece to be the last thing to put into my mouth. Will definitely order again. Hope they dont change and become just ordinary like so many have done.

Brand new Persian food spot. The kababs are delicious and made with high quality meat. They use real saffron and not food coloring like other Persian restaurants in MTL! The only downside is seating. There s only two tables so I think the goal is mostly grab and go. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Really happy to see a persian restaurant nearby, with amazing quality.
1rst time we order our order was around 50$. As it is pick up only, you would expect the food to be warm when it is served. However, we live 5-10min away, and besides the fact that the rice was lacking salt, the food was cold. We decided to give the place a 2nd chance as they are new. The second time, we literally said 3 times over the phone that the chicken is to be with bones and requested the food be warm. When we brought it home, the food was not barely warm. However, even worse, the chicken was BONELESS and not cooked properly, the lettuce was borderline rotten, and of course, the rice lacked salt as per usual. One thing is sure I will never eat there again and will be telling the community about our terrible experience. Edit: the restaurant is basically telling me that we are lying and that the pictures we took are not of their food and that our order was processed properly. Refer to the reply of the restaurant below. Customer service -10/10. How the hell do you even know what our order was to have the audacity to say that we are lying. Hope they are compliant with law because they will be getting a visit soon.
