Had a very pleasent experience. The staff were very friendly, very nice music (not too loud) atmosphere is cozy and simple. Recommend to have a cup of coffee or to dine in.

Its a beautiful bistro style restaurant, the service, the food and the atmosphere are all perfect. I like the fact that the menu changes with the seasons. I had the cherry chapstick cocktail and it was delicious. Foccacia and salmon tartare as a perfect main course and what can you say about the dessert platter I went there to celebrate my birthday and I think Im going to make it a ritual

Beautiful place, well decorated! The food is excellent The salmon tartare I had was well seasoned and the pineapple pieces werent too big. The salad was delicious. My colleague had the pasta and it was to his liking. I finally found a coffee that tastes like coffee it s been a long time since I ve had one this good! To try as a little restaurant

Wow! This is such a beautiful intimate spot. Every single detail about this place was on point. The music is at a perfect volume, not too loud. Sade our server was seriously the best. She has such good energy, and was so genuine and cool. She knows the food and wine with precision and will help you decide :)). The owner was sweet too! The food was all prepared with love. The kale cesar salad was one of the best I ve ever had. The fettuccine pasta tasted so home cooked with perfect flavors. The steak with chimichurri and frites were sublime. Washed it all down with some great wine. Please support this place you won t be disappointed. Thanks for such a great night out.

Un coup de coeur! Petit menu mais tous les choix sont alléchants. Nous avons pris le bar (poisson) et le tartare de saumon; cétait délicieux... et le gâteau aux carottes: Wow! Sadie, notre pétillante serveuse nous sert en français avec un accent charmant, nous recommande un vin blanc québécois parfait. Ambiance calme, joli décor. Nous serons de retour!

We had a big group come in for a spectacular dinner a few weekends ago, and Monsieur Cafe & Vins promised and delivered!! Jigar helped me seamlessly organize the meal, and all our guests were able to pick from a great list of delicious options. The night of the event, Jigar, Sadie, and Mon were all very responsive and engaged with our group. Wonderful, friendly service and delicious food and wine options. Thank you for a wonderful night, we will be back when we return to Montreal!

Great food and service! Very fresh. Colleague and I had salad and bruschetta. Both delicious and appropriate/ generous portions. Blanc de blanc was tasty as well!!

The fried calamari are fabulous. Wish the menu had a bit more choice, also on wines (only 2 served by the glass, pricey, and the one I had was so-so).

So glad I found this place, will be back.

A discovery by chance, an excellent dish with a small glass of wine and an attentive welcome. Few people however, having passed in the afternoon.

Monsieur: It is an excellent place to have a good wine or a delicious coffee (with great aroma)... It has a calm/relaxing atmosphere, with warm and modern decoration, soft music that welcomes you and allows you to chat, work, have a personal appointment, interviews, etc... Customer service is good and friendly! Opening hours are Monday to Friday and closing time is 4 p.m. I loved MONSIEUR and I have it as a favorite Lets see . What do you say? Dont wait any longer to enjoy this charming place...

I went there for a lunch with friends and we really appreciated the selection of wines, the atmosphere and the freshness of the ingredients. The service was also very good. I recommend! Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian choices on the menu.

Quality food, atmosphere and service. Found this place on a previous trip and returned a few months ago and was very happy to find it exactly as we remembered.

All around an incredible experience. The service was excellent and very professional. Great atmosphere with nice background music. The food arrived quickly and was beautifully plated. We ordered the Wednesday special $1 oysters, calamari, gnocchi, and fish of the day (the best honey garlic glazed salmon Ive ever had). Would definitely recommend this underrated Montreal gem.

I accidentally reviewed these folks with another restaurant that I disliked. I can tell you that these people are great, the food was great, drinks amazing, and the price fair. We showed up late and right after closing, they stayed open late for us and served us as if it were the start of dinner. We will always visit them when we are up.

Went here with a group of six and had a wonderful time. Staff were friendly and accommodating and service was good all night. We had cocktails and appetizers to start, which were delicious. I had to run out early so the kitchen hustled to serve my salmon (perfectly cooked and beautifully prepared!) before the other mains. I just wish I could have stayed for dessert. Highly recommend

Chic, simple, good.

This is absolutely one of my favourite restaurants, and I go on a regular basis. Ive tried just about everything on the menu, and no matter what you take you cant go wrong! Mussels, any tartare, any pasta, catch of the day, and the burger are always sure bets! The restaurant is unpretentious, and very cozy. You can bring anyone here, and have great conversations as the music isnt super loud in comparison to other restaurants with this level of food.

Our team of 15 went here for an after-work event. The majority opted for the steak mignon and everyone agreed that it was absolutely amazing. Not only was the steaks serving size generous, but also perfectly cooked with respect to the each individual order. Hands down, it was the best Ive ever had in restaurant. Wow! Very attentive and friendly staff. Will go back to try the lunch menu for sure.

Really a great discovery. Very calm on this Saturday evening. Few customers and soft music. Perfect for us! Relaxed and friendly waiters. Very good cocktails and excellent and well presented dishes. The bill is a little too salty $$$. If the prices were a little lower, I would add a fifth star!

Endroit bien décoré et classe, personnel sympathique mais gros bémol car nous avions commandé un plat qui ne figurait pas sur la carte et qui sest avéré très très cher !!! Assurez vous toujours du prix. Les plats indiqués sur la carte sont à prix corrects mais celui que nous avions commandé était exorbitant... Nous sommes repartis très déçus.

The service was good but the food was not worth the visit. Filet mignon was below average, dry and over cooked, the desert was old and barely eatable. There are many great restaurants in Montreal but this is not not of them.

We chartered the entire restaurant for a dinner event. The staff were all very friendly, willing to share their recommendations about the food and drink. We had a set menu with many appetisers and 5 main courses. I had the pork belly appetiser and the wild mushroom and asparagus risotto. The other mains included an organic cheesburger, duck, salmon tartar, mussels, and beef carpachio. The appetisers included a summer salad and fried calamari. They then offered dessert sharing platters with fresh berries, carrot cake, creme brule and a chocolate cake. It was the perfect size for about 40 people. I do highly recommend.

Delicious meal, perfect musical atmosphere, good service. A beautiful place to discover, very close to the entertainment district.

From start to finish the experience was flawless. Service was impeccably attentive, offered a sample of their delicious soup of the day with freshly baked bread along with onion/garlic flavored butter. Food arrived quickly and every bite of the duck confit with fresh vegetables was perfection. The owner helped the service throughout the meal checking on us a few times. It started to pour rain and as we waited for an Uber to arrive, the owner offered us an umbrella. Don t miss this Montreal gem!

Amazing ambiance for conversation and fine dining. The food was absolutely exceptional; one of, if not the best meal I have ever enjoyed in Montréal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was intimate and refined yet comfortable. I will definitely be returning!

I love this restaurant! Well located near the Quartier des Spectacles, the service is excellent and personalized. The food is always excellent and the prices very reasonable.

Everything was perfectly done. The pork belly dish was perfect. The sausage ravioli was perfect. The mozzarella salad was perfect. And even the pineapple creme brulee was perfect although it sounded weird. Highly recommend!

Amazing place. Very nice environment, impeccable service: Sofia thanks for your kindness, dishes rated 10 and praise! First evening in Montreal to remember! The white chocolate Creme Brulé was from a thousand and one nights like the real Italian Filicori espresso coffee. Congratulations indeed.

We came for lunch with two young children. The service was perfect, very attentive and very caring. The dishes are very good quality with fresh produce. Riadh was very helpful and very attentive to our needs. To recommend without moderation!

Nice neighborhood restaurant. Reservations required as the restaurant was crowded on this Saturday evening. The atmosphere and decor are very pleasant. Nice place. Aperitif service a little long. The first course arrived too quickly and it was not pleasant to drink your cocktail with the starter. Review the timing of the service perhaps? The dishes served were good and well prepared, hot and the servers were very good. Will we go back? Probably.

Came for both lunch and dinner. They change their lunch menu often so make sure to head to the website to see what s on the menu beforehand. Nice little restaurant with good service. The waitress was literally running to our table in order to refill our wine glasses. Items on the menu are pretty good. Prices are high but standard for downtown. They also have 1$ oysters on Fridays. Overall good experience and would recommend for groups.

Way to dissapoint. Id give you zero stars if it were an option. Waste of efforts. Booked reservations in advance, received confirmation to find out they have a private event and got turned away. Thanks for ruining our 5 yr anniversary dinner.. Came all the way from Toronto to enjoy a weekend.

We made reservations here this week and showed up at 8pm for our reservation only to be told that they have a private event and they cannot accommodate us. We traveled here from out of town and were beyond disappointed as it was our 5 year anniversary and they ruined our night. We even had en email confirmation and all they said was go next door to the restaurant there and eat. We did not.

The food was really good, worth five stars. However, the service could use some improvements. First off the waiter forgot an ingredient in our drinks. When we said the drink color was wrong since it was clear and it was probably missing an ingredient (dark red Pims), she straight up lied and said the ingredient wasnt missing and that it was not dark red. We ended up talking to the manager and he said it was indeed missing, and added it to the drink. A few other times the waitress lied to try to cover her mistakes instead of apologizing and fixing them. We were then told our reservation was over after an hour and another reservation was starting so we had to leave the table. They gave us free shots at the bar...the minimum for service like that. Maybe my experience was unique, but we had lots of issues with the service even though the manager tried to make it up to us. The food was to die for though!

Beautiful atmosphere, well chosen music and perfect volume. Waitress a little clumsy but makes up for it with her friendliness. Presentation of dishes very neat and colorful. On the other hand, their taste does not always match their appearance. The ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection but the whole thing is sometimes a little bland (including the octopus and the beet salad). Overall, a lovely restaurant with an ambiance worth trying again.

Supper was a pure delight; the scallops as a starter are succulent, the braised beef and homemade gnocchi are also excellent choices. The only problem was that the service was horribly slow but maybe that was just a problem that evening.

Went on a non-busy night. Had risotto of the day and seafood of the day. Chef executed the dishes very well. Overall happy. Service was great. Nice and quiet for a meal.

Had the Squash soup to start, Short Rib for the main course and Desert to finish off an absolutely fantastic meal. Service was excellent, fast, polite and didnt have to wait for anything. Would highly recommend. I will be back again.

This was our best meal in Montreal. The best poutine that we had on our trip. My filet was delicious as was the scallop risotto and mussels. Nice wine list and great atmosphere.

First restaurant that I had the chance to discover when I arrived in Montreal! A real little gem. Great service, friendly selection of wines and beers in a lovely atmosphere. Perfect meal, we had oysters, poutine and a charcuterie platter to share. Nothing to complain about! I will go back any time to try out the other meals on the menu.

Very nice discovery this evening! We shared 4 starters between two people. The flavors, freshness and quality were there. We ate the salmon shasami, beef carpaccio, jumbo shrimp and grilled octopus. Impeccable service and the butler is very friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, decor up to date and the volume of the music is well balanced. We will return there for sure!

The place is very beautiful, industrial/hipster style, very cozy . The service, although full of good will, lacks professionalism. Evening specials are listed without mentioning the price, water glasses are not refilled often enough; the waiter who gave me pepper apparently got fed up after two little taps because he just left. And finally, after serving us, we never came back to make sure everything was okay. So show them how to use an espresso machine, and explain to them how to make an Americano because they clearly dont know, it was terrible. The food is okay, nothing more. The risotto was very soft, way overcooked and too salty. On the other hand, the fries are excellent, and we absolutely LOVED the donut cake. Well, I seem to be complaining, but with dishes costing $28-41 and a bill of $110 before tip for 2 people (2 dishes, 1 glass of wine, 1 dessert and 1 coffee) were expects to get what we pay for, and I didnt get that impression. The two stars are for the donut cake and oysters for $1.
