Not bad. Down to go back. Had a cappuccino and the shakshuka. Cappuccino came in at a 6/10. Shakshuka wasn t bad but felt like it was missing some zing. My yolks were overdone as well so I was bummed about that. Service ok. Ambiance cute. Down to go back and try other things.

Such a cool vibe with delicious food, fantastic service and professional people. Whether it s comfort food on a cold day or a drink on a hot one. It s the place to be.

The decoration is beautiful and the waitresses are very nice, but the food is not up to par. I wish you invested a little more in the taste. Its bland, even if the presentation is neat.

The food isnt bad but coffee is really bad. Ive been to this cafe 3 times for a takeaway coffee, and Ive always been disappointed with the coffee, it isnt the beans, its the baristas, not trained enough.

I wasnt impressed. The main branch on Monkland is much better. I ordered the shakshuka with halloumi, I was disappointed to find only one small piece of halloumi in it.

Fox was great and the restaurant catered very well to my allergies!

i went for lunch and ordered a richard lewis and i must say it was delicious!! the cutie server with the clear glasses is so nice and may God bless his soul. Such a nice ambience too!!

As a picker eater, I would definitely recommend this spot. The server who served me last time, she was so sweet and helped me to choose a meal from the menu. I was satisfied with the choice (Sandwich déjeuner croissant) 10/10.

The atmosphere is great! Wonderful interior design. Food is average (don t know about desserts and coffee). Servers are nice, but I order cider and they brought me a can of cider and a beer glass. It was weird.

Terrible service. The staff doesn t even pay attention and they truly seem like they do not want to be there. Coffee was extremely average. The only thing relatively good about this place is the decor.

Pigeon Café : Great deco, Beautiful, makes you wanna stay for a coffee and more but Way too loud for a brunch place, had to shoot for people at my one table to hear me Food is ok, to not say tasteless , but waaaay overpriced for the quantity. 20$ for a bagel with cream cheese, you would expect a plate of bagel, nope ! One single bagel. service non existent. Had to call our waiter the whole service for putting in the order, didn t received it all. It s all pretty on the surface but nothing worthy when you dig a bit and expensive !

The setting is cool, but I find that the quality of the ingredients, whether for the meal or the drinks, are mediocre. I have more the impression that they all focused on the framework rather than the quality of the ingredients.

Absolute snobs .

Staff extremely friendly. I often come on thursday pm when they have the DJ on. Music is soothing and volume low enough that we can talk without screaming. Big plus imo

There was a delay in the kitchen today so we had to wait 20-30 minutes after ordering (i didn t mind), the server was nice and efficient when we had to order, what i did notice was that the food was not hot, it was almost a bit cold. my friends ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken was kinda cold sadly. i ordered breakfast sandwich and it was mostly just avocado and spicy mayo, almost no egg so i wished they would ve put more eggs. Coffee was ok. best part of the restaurant is the decoration.

I was impressed with the quality of service I found myself immersed in while having a coffee break. The staff especially Fox guided me through the restaurant checking in to make sure I was pleased with my food. It is usually hard to receive service in English while dining in Montreal however I did not run into this issue here. I would go again when I have availability :)

The food is pretty good, I had the French toast casserole with ice cream and it was like a 7/10 only cause the melted ice cream ruins the whole dish afterwards I loved the coffee, pastries and the ambience there. The staff tho is amazing always 10/10 service

Terrific atmosphere, but unfortunately they re playing awful top-40s corporate Muzak, which makes it feel like you re dining in a plasticky, soulless, corporate establishment. Oh well. Update: super slow.

They have an amazing DJ on Thursdays - highly recommended to go check it out. Manager Lee runs the restaurant very well while the service staff Lyndsey and Shaqued offer a professional and friendly service. Food is great too. I recommend the gigi pasta or the med bowl.

Service was horrid. Over 2 hours to go in and get a coffee and a dessert. We sat for 1-1/2 hrs and apparently our server finished his shift and didn t tell anyone. Two desserts came finally and the 3rd took another 1/2 hr to show up. Then the bill came for $110!!! They made a boo-boo. The desserts were just ok. Not impressed at all.

The restaurant is well located in the city center, but the service is terrible: the waitresses were stupid, made mistakes in the order and brought the food cold. The worst restaurant experience Ive had in Montreal unfortunately.

We are lucky for my mothers birthday to have a golden waitress. Mila. Obviously the other waiters and waitresses were all in a very good mood but I wanted to highlight the delicacy of Mila who knew how to make my mothers birthday very beautiful. In addition to a magnificent place where unfortunately the coffee is super good, it is a 100% approved experience! Thank you Mila. Thank you Pigeon café.

One of the best cafes in downtown has a great atmosphere, amazing food, and cute decor. Ive visited this location multiple times, and every time, their food and desserts were fresh and super tasty. I love the coffee and drink selection as well. Ive also been to other locations, and, hands down, they always deliver great service.

The place was nice. I liked the service and the atmosphere, but the breakfast was less than satisfactory. I mean, the coffee was pretty decent, but the sausage that they had given me was dry and unsightly.

I ve been to Pigeon twice now, and honestly, it didn t really impress me either time.Nothing special about the food and the menu. It s all pretty average and the portions are small. l. The service was bad too. But I did like the atmosphere and how the place looked. Dont think i would come to Pigeon again and i definitely dont recommend this place

I had the pigeon sandwich and it was fantastic. The salad was really nice, and the dressing was perfect. The sandwich was a little greasy on the bottom, but the meat was absolutely devastatingly delicious. The thing about this place is that they have European timing. You re going to have to wait to be greeted, and seated, and have them take your order, and to get the bill. All good.

9:00 am. Big space. Single server seating people and waiting tables. Waited in line. The three some in front of us gave up. We were seated eventually then ignored. We gave up and left. Not the server s fault although they seemed pretty spacey. Bad staffing. That s management problem.

We ordered two slices of cake at 7:00, and it arrived at 7:30. The server was inattentive and had an attitude the whole time.

Good food, lousy service!

Came for a business lunch on Friday, August 30th. 1) Please wait to be seated . We waited 8 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. We finally went to the cash and asked to be seated. 2) We had to flag down the waitress to take our order as no one came to see us. 3) We asked for a straw and it was brought to us by hand ( not wrapped in a napkin) 4) We had to get up and go pay as no one came to bring our bills. Considering it was a business lunch and we were on a bit of a time crunch, the service was just not good.

Very disappointed with my experience! I found a piece of glass in my smoothie. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she did not apologize and did nothing to correct the situation.

Experience nothing more. Tartar not fresh and frozen Ready assembled and heat I would say pigeon is just good for coffee. Its not worth buying a fresh meal here However very good atmosphere. But dont take fish, it would be wasted money

I had a delightful experience at Pigeon Coffee and would easily give it five stars. I enjoyed a cappuccino and a lox bagel, both of which were excellent. The bagel was particularly impressive; for $16.50, it came generously topped with a good amount of lox, making it a great value for the price. The cappuccino was rich and well-made, complementing the bagel perfectly. Despite being quite busy, the café has a charming atmosphere that makes it a pleasant place to relax. The service was a bit slow due to the crowd, but the overall experience was worth it. I d definitely recommend Pigeon Coffee for a cozy and satisfying café visit!

Organized a work lunch for a group of 12 at this place. We all had limited time for our lunch break. I contacted the venue and was put in email contact with the manager to place our orders in advance via email. Everything went so smoothly. Everyone had their food ready upon arrival and had time to enjoy the meal in this large group and make it back to work well in time. The staff was very helpful and quick to respond.

Fingerling potatoes and orange wine is the perfect pair!! Love this place - awesome decor, service and food!

Come here very often for my morning or mid-day coffee, which I love, but the lids for the coffee cups are absolute garbage.

I really liked the food here, the Shakshuka Halloumi was amazing, the lobster Benedict was fantastic, Salmon poached eggs was delicious. Service was good and the interior of the restaurant was good. Hip brunch spot. Friendly staff but slow service. Shakshuka was extremely watery and not very tasty.

The waitress(in red/maroon top) didn t bother to inform me that the kitchen wasn t taking any more food orders and was only serving coffee. I stood there for half an hour while she completely ignored me. The customer service was terrible and unprofessional. After 30 minutes, I asked her why she initially said it would take 15 minutes but failed to mention that no food would be available. They confirmed everything I d heard about their poor service. I wouldn t even give them one star.

i got a spicy chicken burger and the chicken was cold, maybe cuz the kitchen had a delay of 20 minutes, the portions were small and we waited 30-40 minutes just to eat our food in 10 minutes

Wow, super nice employees :) I took the plate to take away: Scoop. Very nice plate, quite garnished with everything I like. I will come back to taste their dessert and maybe even a cocktail.

Do not recommend. The Israeli shakshouka I ordered was inedible, service took too long despite the waitresses being really nice, probably understaffed.

We were able to enjoy the terrace during our visit. Pleasant and calm, we were quickly served. A filter coffee, a butter croissant and a mochaccino. The caramel latte is one of the best tasted in the sector (and even beyond). The foam is silky and it is neither too bitter nor too sweet. The filter coffee is good, within the norm of what a filter coffee should be, black. The croissants are flaky and fresh! Really very good. My disappointment is that they no longer have almond croissants. The service is impeccable. Smiling, attentive and friendly, the employee was courteous from start to finish. The cost is significant, but compares to anything else in the sector (but for better quality). So it s worth the detour! Vegetarian options: Pastries, sandwiches and soups. Wheelchair accessibility: Access ramp to the terrace and the business.

I went there two times and the food and rhe service was great both times. I love the vibe of the place too, perfect for a little get together or a cute date.

The waiter called me out for not paying tips and said no tips? Thats so mean he has NO right to embarrass me like that in front of other customers. He then looked at me in an unpleasant way.

I recently visited Pigeon Espresso Bar and was very pleased with my experience. The service was quick and efficient, which is always a plus, especially when youre in a hurry. The coffees were excellent, some of the best I have tasted. The ambiance of the place is also very pleasant and inviting. I highly recommend Pigeon Espresso Bar to all coffee lovers. You will not be disappointed !

Pretty good food and they have a nice patio to eat at. Service gets 3 because we disclosed food allergies and one of our dishes came prepared with that allergen.

Best food - worst service

I really wanted to like it.. I could have lived with the lengthly time to get serviced and mediocre drinks (we had sangria and aperol spritz) and the super loud music. But not the gross hair in my food and no apology. I ordered a grilled veggie sandwich chicken took a while to bring out and I thought they forgot about it. It finally arrived and the sandwich was split in half. The first half was tasty but once I picked up the second half and saw a very long black hair, (Im blond and my friend has very short hair) I set it aside and tried hard not to gag. The server eventually took it back to the kitchen only to return with a bill and no apology. They deducted half of the cost of the sandwich:/ Sure, I ate half of it but they could have been a little apologetic about the nasty surprise. Nope. Hardly an acknowledgment.

It may not be the worlds worst coffee but it is definitely the worlds worst service. We waited more than 30 min for one ice coffee, which was sub-par (I guess this meets the definition of the world s worst coffee). More so it was not even peak hours. I would definitely not recommend this place unless you don t mind spending 30 min for a cup of coffee.

If youre looking for a restaurant that makes you feel like youre eating in a wooded environment with the roof open, Pigeon Café is the place. Portions are reasonable for the price. The food is delicious. The service was excellent. However, do not have iced tea because it is very bitter.

On August 15 around noon, I visited the pigeon restaurant at 2000 McGill. There were 5 of us, the waitress was really not nice from the start. I was ignored throughout the service: I asked for a filter coffee and my friends ordered other drinks. All my friends were served and I got nothing. We didnt get water until we asked and when we were served water, they brought 4 glasses and I didnt get any. In addition, we were served and we were not brought utensils in advance, we once again had to ask for them. When they brought us utensils, once again they didnt bring them back and we were told that they would come back with the one that was missing and I had to get up to go get them. At no point during the service did the waitress ask us if we needed anything or if we were okay. Even though the food was okay, the very poor service spoiled the experience. First time in this restaurant and last time too.

Vraiment une mauvaise expérience. Vers midi le 15 août mes amies et moi avons essayé ce café. Cependant, une très mauviase service. La serveuse ne connaissait pas le mot amabilité. Elle ne nous a dans aucun moment demandé si on était corretes. On a dû même demander pour la facture alora imaginez-vous, on a même demandé pour de l eau, ustensiles et des choses qui manquaient.

Bad service. Good food (my plate) I took the smoke salmon toast and it was really good!!! But I cannot say the same about the plates of my friends. Also I asked for a Hot Chai Latte and it was everything but hot. The waitress was rude with us, the service wasn t good at all No one check on you, to see if you everything is okay

The food and the coffee were good, but the service wasnt. The girl waitress never gave us a smile, even if my friends and I smiled at her; we had to call her after to take our order, to give us some coffees that were missing, utensils, and to give our bill, always with a grimace, only when she gave us the bill she tried to give us a smile only to receive a good tip. And it wasnt so busy, on the terrace there were only 4 more tables and there were 3 waiters serving, sometimes another guy served us, who was kind to us, not like the girl.

Food was pretty good, but the service was at a very leisurely pace. It is a relaxed environment, and youd need a plenty of time to enjoy the dining experience.

Good ice coffee

The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, but the music could be improved to create a better dining atmosphere. The sandwich was quite basic and overloaded with meat, while the potato salad was disappointing. On the positive side, they do make a good lemonade, and the staff is friendly. However, the tables are unstable, which can be a bit uncomfortable.

We had shakshokah and baked potatoes. The food was delicious. I loved the place. It is spacious and fancy. Staff was helpful and kind. Food : 5/5

Bad service, bad food. Never come back

We went for the name and stayed for the food! I had the bagel with lox and cream cheese, the lox was amazing and the proportions were perfect. I would only say that the bagel was a bit doughy. Other than that everyone enjoyed their food a lot and we finished the meal with some beautiful cheesecake.

What a disappointment! The lunches were those of a bad fast food restaurant, the poached eggs were hard, 3 pieces of bread, with canned jam and a spoonful of salad $16 for that is really exaggerated. Same fight for the plate of pancakes two small pancakes not enough syrup (theft at this stage). The extra fresh fruit ($8.95) with strawberries which was going bad. The waitress was quick and kind. The music was a little too loud for my liking. The decoration is pretty, the location is practical, the terrace is pretty.

Very good meals, desserts and drinks, we even find cider! Mostly English speakers but understand French. Beautiful place, I will come back for the pastries and drinks!

There service are poor

The coffee was good, and the food was pretty tasty. Sadly I think they are under-staffed - it took a while for them to get around to us, and even longer to bring the check; we never got any water refills either. I think the place gets a little too busy round midday.

I like this place but they are very Slow during lunch time. do not go if you have less than one hour for lunch!

Just what I was looking for. Neighborhood vibe, clean and artsy ambiance, great menu selections, friendly staff Frank and food was good.

Disappointing experience. Arrived at 10:45pm, directed by a server (woman) from one open door to the main entrance. Inside, waitress asked if we wanted anything other than food or drinks. What else could we possibly want? She explained that they re currently closed. Confused, we requested takeaway beverages. Denied service, told they close at 10:30pm despite posted 11pm closing time. Unclear why we were redirected to another entrance if already closed. Poor communication and customer service. Lazy? Perhaps. Wouldn t it have been nice for this review to actually be about this establishment? I m hoping that someone actually looks at these reviews and looks into the matter.

Worst service! Miss who worked Monday July 8, 2024 as a waitress, changes job

The music was very loud, everyone was talking loudly to hear each other, and it was not comfortable.

Recently made a reservation for 50 people at Pigeon for my run club!! The manager was super nice and accommodating, and the overall vibe was great! They prepped a space for us to sit and mingle. They also had water ready for us after the run! Overall great experience, will definitely be back!

I was extremely disappointed in trying out this restaurant. I ordered tomato soup that literally tasted like Ragu jar tomato sauce that was lukewarm to cold. I thought it was a joke! They forgot the bread, water and spoon so needed to ask twice. I wanted to complain and not leave any tip but was with others so I held back. The waitress seemed uninterested to be there the whole time. What a horrible experience. I will not be back. I just wish I got my money back.

Red velvet cookies are my favorite, also a specific tea that Exilia made for me when I was sick is something I ll miss. I ve tried recreating it many times but it would never taste the same for some reason.

Had brunch. Eggs were perfectly done. Ordered gluten free bread and it was great. Bf had a bagel sandwich that was delicious we shared oatmeal for a sweet dessert and it was yummy! Amazing service, super cosy atmosphere and exciting dishes I love this place, perfect for a brunch especially with the terrasse in the summer. The shakshuka is outstanding, but my personal favorite menu item is the salmon tower (bagels with cream cheese, salmon and lots of toppings) Love their lattes and ice coffee. Always a good time! Go enjoy the worst coffee in the world as it says on the window You wont be mad for the false advertising!

i visited this lovely cafe in hopes to find a place with good drink and amazing customer service and that s exactly what i found. the workers especially sofia and maria, are all very nice and will give you good recommendations if needed. the store itself is very aesthetic and cute. the decorations make the area so cozy. the food is absolutely delicious and they have many option for people with food restrictions. i would recommend going here if you re looking for a place to brunch with friends or even just to grab a quick drink.

i work down the street on St-Catherine and come here on my breaks when i can. the employees are so welcoming, the bartender, i think her name is lindsey, is sooo fun to be around and talk with her while she makes cocktails. 10/10 would come back

Service was awesome and everyone is super nice. Food is above average. Started out with cappuccino and ended with Mediterranean toast. It was healthy but not as much flavor.

I had brunch here, and the outdoor seating area in July is incredible. The menu offers great options for those looking to eat healthily. The food tasted clean and fresh. I got a Mediterranean toast which was my favorite, super light, the beet hummus toast was well. Did not have coffee here s just an expresso so I can not judge that.

I was not satisfied with how they served the coffee. There were marks of coffee spillage all over the cups.

The decoration and atmosphere is really nice and cozy. Food looks good and tastes more than good. The menu is interesting and theres great variety. Portions are more than enough and the ingredients seem to be of good quality. Service was slow but good. Vegetarian options: 3 different milks available for coffees or any dish with milk.

Its really frustrating. I ordered an iced coffee, but they brought me a black coffee and a glass of milk on the side. It was not at all what I wanted, and the coffee tasted bland. It was a very disappointing experience and I ended up losing my money.

Stopped in for a latte. 12$ smoothies?! Staff were super nice. Solid patio/terrace. Cute clientele, I d go back just for that. Strawberry blondes for DAYS.

Good but they are really afraid of salt and pepper. Bene could use a thicker hollandaise sauce and fingerling potatoes could be cooked longer and/or cut smaller to allow them to crisp a bit more. paprika / salt pepper goes a long way!

Nice terrace, good service, but way too expensive for what it is. I paid $32 for a salad with dry chicken... The salad was good but the chicken was way overcooked. At $9 for the addition of chicken I would have expected much better.

Love this café! The ambiance is just perfect! The food and drinks are delicious! I can stay here all day thats how comfortable this place is, I love how they decorated it so good and classy! The cheesecakes are the best!

Bad experience at the McGill Pigeon Café. We go very often to the one located in Dorval, where the service is excellent. 10 minutes to get seated at a table even though there was no one there. 30min wait for 2 smoothies. Then 45 minutes of waiting after the 30 minutes for a salmon avocado toast. The servers seemed to be in no hurry despite the situation. Commercial gesture refused. Stop by for this branch!

Slow service, walk out smelling of food

Non-existent service. No one comes to check on you, or fill your water, you just sit there waiting, waving hands like a maniac, to get any food. Had to ask for water twice and still sat thirsty until after the check when they finally brought it. And the audacity to have a minimum tip option of 18% on the after-tax (i.e. 20.7% actual) when there is non-existent service. Atmosphere was nice with the trees and whatever. My salmon was actually raw, and I got upset stomach right after. But apparently my friends food was one average and one good. Never going here again, don t even know why we tipped 15% as I am writing this review.

Extremely bad service. The server (male- don t know his name because he never told us) never checked on us once after our food came out. Instead he was sitting at the bar talking to his coworkers. Had to flag someone over to get more syrup. Had to go up to our server at the bar and interrupt his conversation with his coworker to ask for the bill. Probably the worst service I ve ever received. Food was expensive for the portion and quality. The french toast is visually appealing but tastes like you are eating plain bread. Very disappointed. The breakfast croissant was a small croissant on its own with no sides at all. Not worth the price. I was so excited to try this place as it is a very nice looking spot, but I would never go back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I ve been to the Pointe Claire Pigeon Café twice and absolutely loved it both times, so I was surprised and quite disappointed by the lack of consistency with this location! The meals were OK but definitely not nearly the same quality as the other one and were made quite differently. The menu organization and even some of the items were vastly different. Very strange that a franchise has such a difference between locations! If you re looking for a quick brunch/coffee then it s fine, but definitely not a great quality brunch spot.

I just came back from eating in this restaurant, and the warmth of my home was in stark contrast to the cold and dampness of the restaurant. In the rainy weather of 12 degrees Celsius, only one of the two doors of the restaurant was closed, and the cold and humid air from the rainy day continued to penetrate. Even so, the heating was not turned on (because there was no heating released from the heating channel behind me). Really, it felt very uncomfortable. Comfortable. As for other dishes, the taste of several dishes ordered is quite strong. The bread with tomato soup is particularly delicious, and the chef is very good! The waiters job is just average!

We came for a drink with friends and had a great experience. Our server Ryan was friendly and professional and this improved our experience in this cafe! We will come back as soon as possible.

Coffee is free at work and I still go across the street at Pigeon because theirs is insanely good!!! The brownies are a bit expensive so I try to behave but honestly delicious

Service was very slow, there was no cutlery at the table and it took ages to get food and drinks; however the servers was quite kind and understanding of our frustration, still it was disappointing how slow it was.

Mothers day reservation booked the night before at 8pm. Our 1:15pm reservation was waiting for us when we arrived, greeted with a smile! Hostess was amazing and helped us with our order. Service was top notch and the food was fresh, hot and savory. The complementary fruit dish for mothers day was a nice and thoughtful touch. Coffee ... well, lets just say it lived up to its name.
