He also talked to me about how the restaurant works and I guarantee that if you want freshness, you wont be disappointed. A restaurant that deserves to be known more. I wouldn t recommend this place. I think it s a ripoff since they give you just like 6 chunks of fish and 2 tempura shrimps cut in half and they dare charging 20CAD. Their poke is mostly vegetables and some rice, also the house sauce is smoked mayonnaise that doesn t do much for this tasteless and overpriced poke. They received a similar review over two years ago and responded invalidating the customer and denying the claims, so don t be surprised to find the same response about this review.

Little impromptu dinner with friends yesterday, we passed by and decided to go in. Very good decision! We quickly got along with the chef/owner (the son of the family) who told us about his family business, the origin of Poke Bowls (Hawaii), etc. Regarding the Poke Bowls, they were succulent and the sauce tasted like heaven! The portions are generous and so is the chef! Extra sauce, dumpling tasting (free!), etc. For my first Poke Bowl experience, it was succulent and awesome! I leave with a loyalty card and the intention of returning when I come back to the area. Thanks again to the chef! PS: The only negative point is that it is very small and there are no real tables. Eating on the counter next to the door (cold draft in winter!) is not ideal.

Maybe the best poke Ive gotten in Montreal. Rice perfectly cooked, they let you add your own sauce, real greens not iceberg lettuce, fish sashimi tasted fresh. Although I would have liked it if there were a salmon option that wasnt spicy because I have acid reflux.

I had an absolutely delightful experience dining at PokeBol restaurant! The dumplings were simply exquisite each bite bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. The attentive staff added to the overall positive experience. I cant wait to return and savor more of their delicious dumplings!

I order from them regularly (after having tried several brands) and I have never been disappointed with my poke, always as good. They kindly added rice to my order after asking them if they could add the possibility of extra rice when ordering delivery. Thanks again and strength to the team!

Always a pleasure to go to this Poke Bowl. My partner and I were delighted with their reopening. The welcome is great (its nice to feel recognized in a local business). The team is dynamic, involved and attentive. And their poke bowls are, in our opinion, unrivaled on rue Mont Royal: After having tried several of them during their temporary closure, we were really happy to be able to reconnect with their super fresh products, the tasty and crispy tempura without being excessively greasy and their sauces...a GREAT!!! The quantity of the poke bowls is generous, the proteins are in sufficient quantity to feel satisfied with a nice balance between vegetables and rice (unlike other poke where rice or lettuce dominates for reasons of economy?). Brief. We also fell in love with their vegetarian and pork dumplings!!! THANK YOU for being there, great team!!

Commandé sur Uber Eats. Le Poké avait une odeur un peu dégoûtante, comme s il avait été préparé plusieurs heures d avance et n avait pas été gardé au frais. Je suis surprise de voir tous les bons commentaires, peut être que la qualité est meilleure sur place, mais en livraison c est certain qu on ne recommandera pas là-bas, nous avons été très déçus.

Very tasty and fresh poke! Very mediocre dumplings.

I just finished my first poke bowl ever and holy molly! It was super good!!! I was afraid it would be bland but nope, super tasty. (it must be said that I took 1 and a half sauce). Everything went together very well, the different seafood was fresh, the flavors and textures were there. On the other hand, the peanut dumplings were flat, not tasty. But the poke was so good, I don t care! That said, if it wasnt for the dumplings I would have been left hungry, the portion is not big.

They are skimping on the fish in their bowls and charging their customers for rice and salad. I called to ask them about the situation and they admitted it. Total scammers!!!!!!!!! Dont go there!

Our 2nd time here and we are satisfied with service, poke and welcoming vibe.

Good flavor but the portions were a bit small. Too much lettuce.

Still as good, however the prices have really increased and the portions reduced by a third! After a few subsequent visits, the portions became as generous as before!

Prices are average, but the pokebol wasnt to our liking. Much better places. Friendly staff though, just not great recipes imo. But to each their own.

Extremely fresh and tasty ingredients served to you by friendly and knowledgeable staff all right on Mont Royal street steps away from the main. If youre in the neighborhood definitely not to be missed. We took ours to Lafontaine parc and the food definitely helped elevate our moods and created a great evening. Special Mention: Do NOT miss out on these fried dumplings. best dipping sauce I ever tasted oh and did I mention that this is also a small family run business ?

Poke bowl Delicious! Fresh salmon and tuna! Perfect mix of rice and seafood! Also the salad is very good. I recommend!

Ordered two time, both time was missing ingredients. The rice was hard and dry and the bowl did not look like in the pictures. pretty disappointed.

I dont know if its me whos unlucky. But I didnt find my poke as extra as the other comments. I ordered from Uber Eats and found it lacking in taste. The mayonnaise is not sufficient in terms of quantity. There were too many carrots (the proportions were not balanced). The salmon was bland. I really like poke and Ive had some really good ones. But this one disappointed me a little anyway

Good place to eat poké. The choices are varied and the service is fast. I didnt give the last star for the cutting of the cucumbers which was rough and for the quality of the sashimi which was just ok. Something is missing for the taste to take it to the next level.

To be honest, my first orders over a year ago lacked consistency in quantities. I gave you a 3 star by explaining my experience. I had completely forgotten this note and for the past 6 months I have ordered your poses at least 5 times/week. You deserve your 5 stars by far!

Stingy! Spicey tuna bowl came with half a slice of avocado only and a microscopic amount of salmon. Make sure you re not hungry if you order from them.

I am not normally the type to go out of my way to write a review. However, this is a well deserved review. I ordered their grilled eel poke (one of the few places that offer this option) with a side of shrimp tempura via UberEats and I LOVED IT!!! 1) Perfect combination of rice and mixed greens. I personally don t like too much rice. 2) They followed my notes. I had asked for no edamame and mango. 3) Every bite was fresh and delicious. I loved that they added a slice of lemon because it added an extra flavour to my bowl. I highly recommend ordering from here via UberEats. This is definitely going to be my new go-to Poke place.

Me and my partner frequently order from Poké Bol Mont-Royal: its close by and the quality has never disappointed us. Although its not the best poké bowl Ive tasted, the price is based on the contents and you get what you pay for (my top poké bowls cost much more!). The ingredients are fresh, varied and well balanced: nothing takes up all the space. We see that they have thought about the composition and that they are not filling with inexpensive ingredients (like I have seen in some other places). As someone who particularly likes raw fish, we can always add extra for a reasonable cost. In its niche, this little restaurant deserves 5 stars but an irritant makes me remove one: this new habit that many have of adding the tip automatically to the payment terminal, which we feel bad to remove and which requires several steps to remove. Lets be clear: normally the tip is for table service or delivery, not for a take-out order. I dont see how the cashier who took 2 minutes to take my order should receive 15% of the restaurants turnover. In addition, this 15% is calculated automatically after taxes, which is not normal either! In these difficult times, I often tend to add a tip, even on a take-out order, to encourage our local businesses and hope that it is shared by all the employees... but never when it is pushed into me in the throat. In short: small restaurant with a good welcome, undeniable quality/price, fresh ingredients: I recommend it! But please, change the settings of your payment terminal for tips (for something like add tip yes/no).

we went on a Monday evening and the restaurant seats were full! (small place) and there is a line for takeout orders. But they sent out orders very quickly and the service was excellent. SO good! Inexpensive and amazing quality! My only problem was that this restaurant is not listed on Google maps! So when I went to leave a good review, it took me a long time to find a place to do so!

Way overpriced!! And Im talkin by experience because it appeared that I do sushi myself and the way they keep the tartare is weird you have fly that goes all over the fish??...and it appear that what you get in your bowl is not the same at all as what you see on the picture. If you put four pieces of avocado on the picture you cannot put only one piece in the bowl. The owner is really cheap on the portion. And I could almost feel something weird there the vibe?? right away when I got in. The first cashier left right away when I spoke to her in French and the second one never look in my eyes. And I was being really relaxed and polite... I dont know whats going on there but I will never go back and I will also never refer my customers there.

Its fresh and generous, butttt its not real poke! I even asked if the Tuna was in shoyu sauce and the staff looked very confused... Its basically good sushi bowls ( more like a mayonesse rich salad and not the raw onions and soy sauce vibe of the original hawaïn delicacy)..

Overall, the poke bowls were good and well balanced between the fish, other ingredients and flavors. I give 3 stars because the sashimi was good and fresh but the shrimp were cooked a little less. I had to have them exchanged, which they accepted.
