We provide you with multiple dishes from Malaysia - Sri Lanka & South India a delicious food you don't want to miss out on.
Ordered Nasi Lemak and shrimp noodles. Overall good but lot of oil on the noddles.
I ordered sea food noodles for five people for take out. I asked the owner to put it on one tray. When I went to pick up, the tray was ready. The food was simply amazing and the tray was good enough for 10 people. The owner is a real kind and pleasant person to deal with. He offered me masala tea for free which was delicious. I highly recommend their food. Thank you.
Absolutely loved this place! The food is authentic, flavorful, and truly feels like home-cooked Malaysian cuisine. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. You can tell there’s so much heart in every dish. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Malaysian flavors!
Look at other 1☆ reviews about disgusting kottu roti. I dont know what I just ate, full of cabbages in kottu. I think I am going to be sick. Food 1/5☆ for presentation and packaging Price 1/5☆ Quantity 1/5☆ Service 2/5☆ Liked: - There is none. Disliked: Taste - why does your kottu taste sweet 🤣 (is it because of cabbage and carrot filler instead of roti 🤔 roti) it should be spicy/hot Price - higher than competitors $16.50 for cabbage kottu Quantity - smaller portion 2/3 of other places. Given quantity, it should be no more than $12. Wait time - 30 minutes This restaurant did not check any of the box. For $16.50, people can have Piri Piri, Grillad Torino, Poulet Rouge, Boustan, B12, Central Bergham, Hyderabadi lots of better options with generous portion and satisfying meal.
This is my second time eating at this restaurant and I am very happy with my choice! The food is always flavourful and served in a great size. I recommend the chicken noodles, it is their best seller there according to the owner. I am a big fan of the fried rice and nasi lemak. As well, the owner and the workers will serve you with a beautiful smile and a good conversation. Overall, I think you should give this Malay restaurant a try and I hope you find yourself coming back here :)
I had one of the best meals in a long time here. The food was so wonderful and full of spices, flavors, and a variety of ingredients including okra; something I hadn't eaten in a while and loved! It's actually a family-run business and the dad, Kumar, was so welcoming and warm. He gave us suggestions and explained the menu for us!
Food: Simply AMAZING. I ordered the lamb Kottu Rotti & it's truly one of the most delicious meals I've had. Flavor, texture, aroma etc. are out of this world. Lamb is cooked perfectly. The menthu Vada is a good snack as well. Service & atmosphere: From the moment I walked in, Kumar made me feel like I was at home. Meal was made fresh to order & within a timely manner. Atmosphere is cozy with good ambient music. Only "issue" is the place is small, so if you are a group of 5+, I suggest trying takeout rather than sit-in. Value: The portion will leave you stuffed. I am a big eater and could barely finish my plate. If you order takeout, this portion is good enough for two people. Overall: Canada Best is a hidden gem that delivers on all aspects. They clearly take pride in their food, as they should. If you like authentic, delicious food & genuine home-style service, this spot deserves your consideration. Keep it up guys!
We ordered the nasi lemak and beef rendang and they were authentic and delicious (ref: my wife is Malaysian). It's spicy too, so be warned. The owner was also very friendly. The restaurant is really tiny but there wasn't much traffic besides Uber/takeout deliveries. Highly recommended!!
Fantastic nasi lemak and mango lassi, very fragrant coconut rice and delicious sambal with crispy chicken drumsticks and anchovies. Owned by a lovely Sri Lankan and Malaysian couple. Will be coming back.
Amazing delicious food, it was very authentic and felt like home cooked. Definitely recommend!!
My god am I impressed!! If you look at my profile you ll see that I mostly only remember the bad experiences with restaurants and establishments. Rarely am I ever blown away by something but this meal has done something extremely special. Props to the chef. The combination of flavors in the shrimp fried rice was like nothing I ve had before. 10/10 one the best meals I ve had this year.
That is nice restaurant
Best Malaysian food in Montreal and very friendly owner:)
Amazing. Flavorful food and great service. The owner is very friendly as well.
Extremely delicious Malaysian Food with South Indian food! We Had Nasi Limak which had consisted of Spicy Fried Chicken with crispy anchovies , Coconut Rice with egg , cucumber and A type of spicy Curry Sauce. Each of which tasted amazing ! Their fish cutlet and Chicken rolls were on point as well!! 11/10
Lamb biryani was fresh and flavorful and mango lassi was really good. Service was great too, totally recommend
My partner is Chinese Malaysian and said the Nasi Lemak tasted just like at home. I tried it with a new option they were trying out with sambal fish and it was great! The sambal is spicy; I thought it was nice that they have a mix of spicy and non-spicy dishes on the menu. I ended up having *two* mango lassis -- great fresh mango taste with a hint of coconut. The restaurant was also trying out a new soup with a chicken and lemongrass broth and winter vegetables, which I really hope they officially add to the menu for winter. Definitely recommend.
Spectacular Malaysian and Sri Lankan food. The Nasi Lemak was amazingly flavorful and well spiced. The owner is very welcoming and helpful in offering up his suggestions. My wife and I went tonight for the first time and were already looking forward to coming back!
Awesome spot! The food is delicious and portions are huge!! Very generous restaurant, I definitively recommend!
very friendly service and the food was so good. great place to sit down, eat, and chat with a friend. tried the chicken kottu roti and was very impressed, will stop by again to try the lamb kottu roti one day.
Highly recommended!! We were on a short visit to Montreal and visited this restaurant for some lunch with the family. The owner was amazing, food was fantastic and extremely value for money. Customized few on the menu to fit our child as well. Will definitely visit this place next time we come around.
Unfortunately got food poisoning from there :(
Beware, food poisoning!!!
Amazing experience last night at this restaurant. Authentic south asian food at a great price. Plus the owner is super kind and welcoming. I highly recommend !

Very friendly and respectful owner, succulent cuisine and pleasant dining
I went to try this restaurant with a friend, and we both were super impressed! We ordered Nasi Lemak and Kumar recommended the chicken noodles. Both were delicious, service was friendly and fast. We ll definitely be back to try the other things on the menu.
Best noodles in Montreal period. No need to go downtown. This is the place.
Best restaurant in Canada!!! Vegetarian options: So good!!!!! Food : 5/5 |
Wow
Very authentic nasi lemak. I have lived in Kuala Lumpur for five years, and the familiar feeling came back after the first bite. Great, I will come again.
didn t really mess with the manager jon jon? some call him jonny boy? he came in thinking he was all swag but he wasn t. he yelled at me saying i had no swag and then we had a swag off. he also tossed my wings in saliva? my nachos came out with bracelet beans instead of chili beans.
good services
goods services
Tried the kothu roti and the mutton biryani. Kothu roti was mediocre, low on spicyness and sweeter than usual . Mutton biryani flavor was ok .. but there was barely any mutton in there maybe found 4 small pieces .
Good food nasi lemak the best
Delicious South Asian food!
The Saturday special Thali is incredible. Best Ive had in Mtl
Absolutely delicious. The Saturday Special is where it s at, so you can try a bit of everything
I hate leaving bad reviews especially when the owner is really nice but this is the worst food I had in a long time. The chixken was wayyyy overcooked/old. I Had food poisonning for 3 days.
Very good authentic Sri Lankan food. Excellent and cordial service. A must try.
Very good Vegetarian options: Nice Food : 4/5 |
Very Nice experience in my life.
Got Nasi Lemak and mango lassi best Malaysian food in town. Store owner is very nice too :)
Excellent service, fair prices, very generous portions. Friendly treatment from the owner. The only bad thing is that sometimes there is no naan (it runs out quickly) but otherwise, an excellent place.
Nasi lemak 8/10 Shrimp fried rice 9/10
Im eating food from this restaurant right now and i had to take a break to write this comment, besides the impeccable service, their food is soooo goood!!! 10/10
The food is incredible, I regularly drive across town for pickup!
First time trying Malay food and we had a delightful lunch with an impeccable service by the owner. The menu is reasonably priced, yet the amount of food that you get is a lot (not complaining at all ) We will surely come back to this halal hidden gem that you all must try!
Recently Me and my family got to visit this restaurant. Owner of the restaurant was such a nice person was very kind and hospitable. Food was really good too. This restaurant has a good variety of south asian food. Highly recommend!
This was a very special meal. The owner is also such a sweetheart. Will be back for sure.

It was excellent. I advise you to go there with your eyes closed.
Kumar is so kind & the mutton rolls are Great prices! Our favourite Kothu rotti! Food
Quick service, nice and friendly employees. The portions were generous, filled to the brim, with a nice presentation. Highly recommended!
Found through the food blog shutupandeat.ca. Service was friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. Just the right amount of heat. Very generous portions, and not very expensive. Was so busy enjoying the food we forgot to take pictures.
I ordered last night via Uber Eats, and I can say without hesitation that it s the best take out I ve ever had in my life! Delivery was extremely fast (around 20 minutes). We ordered the Nasi Lemak, the chicken/shrimp noodles and the idli with vegetable curry. The portions are huge, there was easily enough for 5 servings. It was fresh and so tasty! Big favorite for the nasi lemak but the noodles were also perfectly executed. This restaurant now has 2 new fans!
Let s get this started my food was incredible tasty flavours are all there if you know culture food you would understand the owner is super friendly and kind he s very attentive I love genuine people always brings great value to the restaurant see you soon
Came here last week and ordered the Nasi lemak and Shrimp fried noodles. Great food for family style restaurant.
AUTHENTIC! So good. Very friendly staff. Felt like I was back home in .
Food was great. We ordered a few fish cutlets and a chicken fried rice. Cutlet had a touch of spice and the fried rice was colourful and full of flavours. We enjoyed it.
Excellent food, generous, very affordable and super friendly owner! Definitely worth doing again. Nasi Lemak, rice curry & fish cutlet.
This is a very cozy place and the food is really good!!! And worth the price!! I recommend you

Best nasi lemak in Montreal. Recommended to try it.
Tasty, honest and generous indian/malaysian food. It warms the soul; Im happy!
The food is was very tasty and the owners were super friendly and welcoming! For a quick bite I do recommend the veggie or mutton patties . They were very flavorful! We had also ordered the veggie thali which was really -- the chickpea and soyameat curry was remarkable!
It really hits the spot when youre craving tamil food. The kottu rotti is really good. The customer service is really good too. Stro gly recommend!
The food was tasty and homemade. The quantity served was generous and the owner was very welcoming. I will Definitely go back again.
visited during our short stay at montreal. I could certainly say that this is one of the best sri lankan food that we had. We had all those short eats types(rolls, cutlets, pattis) and also shrimp noodle and a chicken fried rice. Felt home after a very long time. Must visit place in montreal if you are sri lankan food lover. Owner was extremely friendly and kind.
Delicious Sri Lankan plates! We tried both the Chicken noodles and the Saturday plate (which had a bit of everything). Great food at a good price.
The restaurants name speaks for itself
Wow. I am so glad I finally tried this place. The food was delish and the nasi lemak was so tasty and authentic. What a delight! Definitely an instant fave!
Great food and great service!
welcoming and hospitable people, the noodles were very delicious
Very warm and home-y spot! Was greeted promptly and served by a young fellow. Ordered mutton rolls, they were very tasty! Thank you! Food : 5/5
Great Sri Lankan and Malaysian food. Had Nasi lemak the national dish of Malaysia and some fried noodles. Washed down with chai masala. Both dishes were excellent. Snuck in a vada on the way out. Very nice! Highly recommend this place. Owners are from Sri Lanka and Malaysia who also speak Japanese fluently!
I had nasi lemak and chicken fried noodles. Both are delicious The owner, Mr. Kuma, has lived in Japan for 18 years and is fluent in Japanese. Friendly and great service. The Vada here is authentic, made with urad dal, and has a not-too-overpowering spicy flavor that will appeal to everyone. Recommended
Delicious food and very hospitable!
Friendly owners. Everything Ive had here has been super delicious -- from the kottu roti, ayam rendang to the friend chicken noodles, its all great!
this restaurant has been on my mind since a montreal based tiktoker reviewed it and it is definitely is worth the hype !! the owner is so sweet and friendly with the customers and the food is soooo good you can literally taste the love and effort that goes into every dish i highly recommend !!!
Great value, kind owners, worth taking a detour
Great place for some nasi lemak and mutton rolls (taste just like yummy curry puffs)! Came all the way from Ottawa for it! Lovely friendly folks run it - must try
Tasty Sri Lankan food!
Very good Sri Lankan restaurant. The lamb kottu rotti was very good as the Sri Lankan locals like it. Special mention for the fried shrimp noodles which were excellent! I recommend this restaurant! I will come back!
I have lived in the neighborhood for a very long time, it was by chance that I discovered this restaurant. I went in and bought the shrimp noodle dish. It was delicious, I made my parents taste it and they loved it. Now most often when we want to eat food in a restaurant this is where we decide to eat. It s a welcoming place, you can see that they love what they do. There is a spicy and non-spicy option. The sides dishes are also worth trying at all costs. In any case, very tasty food, I recommend it to everyone.
Nice food and service
Great food and owner is really nice
Everything was delicious, had the nasi lemak and reminded me of Malaysia ! I d recommend it and it s a great value for the price. A lovely family owned business. I ll come back for sure.
Hard to describe the feeling (of warmth and beauty) Canada Bests meals and service provides... One of the best meal Ive had in a restaurant, ever! The Saturday Special is a must have, perfectly balanced, in an almost poetic way. The Nasi Iemak was spicy and refreshing, the coconut rice balanced everything so tightly. Im smiling just thinking about it, two days later. Their fried chicken is one of a kind and otherworldly. Beautiful service and presentation. Canada Best is the real deal: deliciously rare and soul-comforting. Long live Canada Best.
Gate service
Hands down, the best food I ever tasted and the sambal just hits home. I would highly recommend this place and even the owner of the place is super warm.
The food was amazing mostly there fried rice probably the best dish
Great service, great tasting food and not to expensive ... Excellent service, delicious food and not too expensive ...
Really Good Food!
My friends and I had a really good nasi lemak after a long time! The portions were generous and the sambal was deliciously spicy. The owners were really friendly and kept checking on us. Will definitely be returning for more!
Great service, very friendly, the food very tasty
This is a must go restaurant for the nasi lemak lover..
Best Malaysian restaurant in Montréal!!!
the food is very delicious and the service is very friendly, I highly recommend nasi lemak, rendang chicken and chicken fried rice.
Just I bought mutton koththu but it was disgusting
delicious food, my first time trying Sri Lankan cuisine and Im a big fan! EXCELLENT customer service, great ambience and restaurant atmosphere, you have to try the mango smoothie. it is so so tasty. would recommend!
I am very glad to visit after restaurant my first experience is so good
Ive been wanting to try this spot for years now. Just ordered the Banana leaf Saturday Special, The Nasi Lemak and shrimp noodles (not included in the picture). I am delightfully STUNNED & IMPRESSED, the presentation is beautiful & the portions are HUGE! , I feel like I am traveling to Sri Lanka & Malaysia through these plates. Now I understand why this restaurant is so highly rated. I totally want to go eat at the restaurant in person. Thank you for this culinary experience!
The food was very delicious
Nasi Lemak is great, so is the Saturday mixed plate, especially the shrimps. Just wish the rice of the Nasi Lemak was a tad more flagrant (pandan isnt that present). Still amazing and Im so happy its in Montreal.
Good food, the owner is very nice!
Amazing food and service!!
Nice very nice
went to this little gem today, and had one of the most delicious food ever. We had the nasi lemak and lamb biryani and everything was so good. portion are very generous. smelled so good we forgot to take a picture before eating. owner is so friendly and nice also. I have nut allergies so owner omitted the peanuts in the nasi lemak. will definitely go back on a saturday for their special thali on banana leaf! owner mentioned the time we arrived (11am) was perfect for dine-in because it tends to get really busy during lunchtime for takeout.
My favorite combo to order every time I stop by
The Nasi Lemak at Canada Best in Montreal is a delightful surprise! It tasted incredibly authentic, and I never expected to find such delicious Malaysian cuisine in Montreal. Highly recommended!
The nasi lemak tastes just like in Malaysia! Perfect level of heat. 10/10 we also ordered the shrimp noodles and the chicken roll which were also very good. The portions are generous. i ll be back to try more dishes
Amazing food and service, the kottu roti was so delicious and the portions were huge for a great price!! I also got a mango lassi and it was pretty good, would def recommend
so so good. got the chicken noodles. will return. Food : 5/5
The food is AMAZING and the service is impeccable 10/10 Truly the best in Canada
Food is amazing
A real little gem in Montreal. All the dishes on the menu looked amazing, but we settled on the Nasi Lemak and the Saturday Special. Both were exquisite! The coconut rice in the Nasi Lemak was absolutely divine and reminded me of my childhood in the Comoros. As for the mutton stew in the Saturday Special, it was rich and tasty. Its very rare to find Malaysian food in Montreal, and this address is a perfect tribute to this underrated cuisine. But above all, what I retain from my visit is the kindness and the smile of the staff. A real ray of sunshine in Parc-Ex, Ill be back!
Excellent food. The whole menu is delicious, especially the Nasi Lemak. Truly a hidden gem. Authentic and generous.
Super good, plentiful and good price!!! We will definitely come back.
Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend having the nasi lemak.
Give them a try you be the judge.
This is my first time trying Malaysian and Sri Lankan food,.it was very DELICIOUS ! I got to try two of their traditional Sri Lankan plates: Chicken Rendang and Nasi Lemak. As for Malaysian platters: we had the Chicken fried rice (my husbands favorite) and Shrimp Noodle. All of those plates were DEVINE! I highly recommend for you to try Canada Best in heart of Parc Extension!
Food was delicious and reminded me of home. Service was amazing and they were very accommodating!
Customer service 10/10 chicken and mutton briyani taste amazing, shrimp noodles and shrimp fried rice were superb. Reasonable price Best Sri Lankan Halal restaurant in Montreal
Best biryani ive ever had! Worth the trip.
Incredible!!! Finally a very good nasi lemak in montreal! Their sambal homemade sambal rivals the ones ive had in KL and Malacca!
The food is good ! I ordered many times through Uber eat, but today I went to the restaurant to eat in the restaurant. I highly recommend Chicken kottu rotti, Nasi Lemak ( so good ) and the chicken biryani. Im not a big fan of the Saturday special) . The owner ( the Ski Lanka guy) is very nice, friendly. ( just one thing that made me confused , they charge 2$ extra / each dish if you eat dine in but they didn t mention it on the menu until you pay)
Tamil,Indian and Malaysian food, made fresh and delicious. Store has very friendly service that is accommodating and has a very homie vibe.(family run store next door) Not much of an eat in, more take out but either way, you ll be taken care of. (I am trying new Malaysian food and so far their Nasi lemak is my favorite) Would highly recommend, little place with big flavor! Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating
I loveeee this restaurant, affordable, lots of high quality food, and just enough spice to make it excellent. The restaurant is also Halal Friendly. The Nasi Lemak and Rendang is excellent and we enjoyed the Saturday Special. Definitely a gem of a restaurant.
excellent Tamil food
Had ordered ordered from Marche Canada multiple time. Infact, i personally didnt like their kothu rottis as it tasted different might be due to the oil. However, after a gap I was in the hunt for new flavors like Malaysian and noticed Nasi Lemak. I am blown by the taste and keeps going back to ordering from here for the same. I prefer the fish sides than chicken as they hit the right spots and seems authentic and savory. I have also tried their Chicken Rendang and Fish banana leaves thali which is available on Saturdays only. Loved the Thali and Rendang though some sides were not to our taste, the main items were spot on and good. A suggestion would be to either pack some of the sides separately to avoid food wastage or give the option to the user to pick their sides and accordingly charge them. Overall this is my new favourite for their Nasi Lemak.
Im Singaporean and my gf is Malaysian. Weve been in Montreal for about 1.5 years at this point so you can imagine by now were starting to crave some yummy Southeast Asian food, which is rather hard to come by in Montreal (as compared to say Toronto or New York). By some stroke of luck, my gf saw someone post about Restaurant Canada Best in a Malaysian FB group, so we made plans to try it immediately. When we got there, both of us ordered Nasi Lemak and my God, the first bite transported us back home in that instant. It was as if we had just gotten it from our neighborhood mamak shop. The coconut rice was fragrant, doused with a generous heap of sweet sambal chilli. The fried chicken was fried just right with spices, and even the ikan bilis (anchovies) and roasted peanut peppered the rice with crunchy texture. After we were done shovelling nasi lemak down our throats, we washed it down with their refreshing mango lassi, to ensure we didnt choke and die from all that divine food. The other reviewers werent kidding about how good it is. Whats truly unique about this restaurant is that it offers a mix of Sri Lankan, Indian and Malaysian dishes, a combination that is not that common even in Southeast Asia. Well definitely be going back again for our nasi lemak fix, but Ill be trying their lamb biryani the next time round.
Owner was so kind and patient with us. He figured it was our first time and gave us a few info about the different food they have on the menu and recommended us a few to our likings. We had to try their Nesi Lemak. We also had the chicken noodles + one of each of the cooked food in their counter. The Nesi Lemak was A M A Z I N G L Y good!
Absolutely brilliant
Amazing food here.
Good Nice Excellent
Best Malaysian noodles Ive have since I was in Penang. Absolutely will be going again.
Experiencing the Nasi Lemak here is like a culinary trip to Malaysia. The crispy chicken and flavorful sambal are standout delights. Highly recommended for an authentic taste. The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming, with everyone in our group leaving satisfied. The staff s friendliness and thoughtful gestures, like a lollipop treat for my kid when we were leaving, make the dining experience even more special.
If youre looking for authentic South Asian food, this is the restaurant to try. The chicken briyani was excellent, idli was soft and fluffy paired together with the sambar and chutney - perfection. And the nasi lemak is definitely one of the best you will ever find in Montreal. Highly recommend this restaurant. The owners were friendly and nice! Great service. The price is good too.
Good
Amazing food! I definitely recommend it
We ordered Veg thali, its good. But only one suggestion is it would be nice if curd is provided. :)
the food was amazing and the service was excellent! thank you for a great meal!
Best deals, great veggies options. Must try! Super nice guy too
A truly special place. Superb flavours, unique selection of dishes, cheerful space, and most importantly, a very warm welcome. They don t do any marketing because they don t need to - word of mouth is enough - easy to see why! Thank you so much Canada Best! Kid-friendliness: Small space but very welcoming.
A pleasant surprise, everything we have eaten has seemed wonderful, generous portions and spectacular flavor. Dont hesitate to order the weekend special, it wont disappoint you.
Pretty good restaurant, I ordered the veg Thali which was tasty ovarall alongside their chicken 65 that needed some curry leaves maybe to deepen the flavour. The service was friendly and warm. Vegetarian options: Veg Thali , and a few other options
This is the worst restaurant. If I could give it a zero I would. For my first order some of the items were missing, but i still wanted to give another shot so when I called to order, a man answered the phone and said the sides for a dish i wanted are missing but that i can still take a part of the order and hung up. When i called back to cancel the order a lady picked up the phone and yelled at me for calling back.
This is my favorite restaurant in Montreal . The store owner is super sweet and gives a very customized experience. This is my favourite place for authentic Tamil Sri Lankan food and reminds me of home. The vegetable curries and briyani is incredible and the service is the sweetest.
I had a chicken Biryani. It was so delicious, I m def going again!! Very nice uncle, as well!
Kottu rotti, fried rice and non veg thali are the best in the city
Recently found this little gem serving authentic sri lankan food. The food was tasty, and the owner offers friendly service. I would recommend this to everyone. Vegetarian options: My friend is vegan and she enjoyed her veg thali very much
I loved it but it was too spicy for my wife. Saturday special plate is amazing.
This unassuming little restaurant with a limited menu serves up some very tasty dishes....but whatever you do.... You must order the NASI LEMAK.
Best kothu roti in Montreal.
This place serves good south Asian food. Dosa and vada is good. Also the kothu roti is not bad. The rice on Saturdays are the best served with few curries on banana leaf s. beats any restaurant around the area for south Asian food.
This is my 2nd time eating this amazing, delicious food. The 1st time was in late July 2023, I had ordered through UberEATS, and I remember, as I was eating all that food by myself, how good it was. Ever since that day, I ve thought about that experience on numerous occasions. We are now February 17th, 2024. On one of the coldest days of the year, my craving decides to act up to finally go to this place in-person, and sit there and absorb the entire experience. (Also, my GF wanted Malaysian food because her friend has been sending snaps of food they re eating in Malaysia while on vacation). At 6:28PM EST, we arrive. We look at the menu and we d like to have it entirely, however, we are on a diet, so my girl & I only get 4 dishes 1) Shrimp & Chicken Fried Rice 2) Shrimp & Chicken Malaysian Noodles 3) Chicken Kottu Roti 4) Nasi Lemak. Within 15-20 minutes, the food arrives to our table, and I immediately just start eating the Kottu Roti. The 5 minutes after that, i have no recollection of. It was like I passed out into a coma and woke up, to find only a quarter of the food left on each plate. Yes ladies & gentlemen I blacked out and savagely consumed all the food. The Kotto Roti is the best in Montreal Probably the best I ve had and best I ll ever had. If you thought Thanjai was good, this is even better! I can t believe it. The fried rice and the noodles are just too good. They get everything right, way better than any of the other region cuisines of India. I no longer feel like I have to go to Toronto for Hakka food because this epic fusion of Sri Lankan and Malaysian food takes care of what I would need from Toronto. Lastly, we had the Nasi Lemak. You have to have the sauce on the coconut rice, the nuts, the cucumber, the fried chicken, the anchovies, all in one spoon and bite it down. The flavor combination is insane. I m telling you guys, i was just sitting there with my mouth feeling like heaven. I was in a bliss of ecstatic feel in my mouth, and I wondered if this is how paradise felt. I just sat there in a daze. The owners are a couple the man is Sri Lankan, the wife is Malaysian. They thought of the concept of doing something different from everyone else, by making a fusion out of both of their cultures. In my opinion, i think they combined the best of both to make a truly unique taste that you cannot get anywhere else. Furthermore, the only workers are the man, the woman, and their two sons. This is literally just a family operation, and the man told me he wouldn t feel right to hire employees, that he wants it exactly how they make it and won t let anyone change anything. This is a HIDDEN GEM in Montreal. When I finally propose to my girlfriend and get married, I will get Marché Canada Best to cater my wedding. I left this place with the thought in my head: Forget about Michelin Star Restaurants, this is my type of spot. I ate so much, so well, huge portions, maximal taste, for $80. This was enough food for like 4-5 people but we just stuffed ourselves like crazy. To top it all off, I also ended up getting a Mango Lassi. Honestly, the best Mango Lassi I ve ever had. It was the necessary conclusion to the night. I couldn t have a had a better night than tonight. Vegetarian options: You can ask them to make vegetarian only food Dietary restrictions: Halal Food! they also offer vegetarian food as well
Nice
Amazing restaurant, nice cosy environment, Kumar the owner was great and gave us a complimentary masala chai that was delicious. The noodles are exactly like Pakistani Chinese - overall great experience will definitely go back to try the fried fish
Very tasty food. Owner is fantastic.
Great food & great service!
The service is excellent and the food simply DELICIOUS!

If you are looking for a satisfying and flavorful meal that will transport you to the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh or even Penang, look no further than Restaurant Canada Best (RCB) in Montreal. This cozy and friendly eatery offering a variety of Sri Lankan, Indian and Malaysian dishes now specializes in the Nasi Lemak, the national dish of Malaysia, and serves it with a complete set of delicious toppings and sides. Nasi lemak is a dish of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves, served with a spicy sambal sauce, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, sliced cucumber, hard-boiled eggs and fried chicken. The rice is fluffy and aromatic, the sambal is tangy and fiery, and the toppings are crunchy and savory. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, making this a great place to enjoy a hearty and satisfying meal. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Restaurant Canada Best is a hidden gem in Montreal that offers authentic and delicious Malaysian cuisine. Whether you are a fan of nasi lemak or want to try something new, you will not be disappointed by this restaurant. It is one of the best places to enjoy Nasi Lemak in Canada, and a must-visit for anyone who loves flavorful food.
Amazing food. Sri Lankan food done right!! It s not too spicy and the flavours are fabulous. We had the chicken noodles, chicken friend rice , shrimp fried rice and a mutton kotthu. The only restaurant that adds veggies to the kotthu like it s supposed to. Even the friend rice had a ton of veggies. Will definitely go back when in Montreal. The owner was super friendly too. I couldn t take more pictures because the food looked so good so we had to dig in instantly. Next time , more pictures!!
The owner is so friendly. Good service with good food.

The food was absolutely incredible. They made it fresh on the spot and every part of the meal bursted with flavour. On top of the soulful atmosphere and the friendly owner s impeccable service, the prices were so reasonable. Especially considering the great portion you get. Definitely will be coming back and definitely recommend to everyone who wants to try authentic Sri Lankan food!
I am from Bangladesh and we ordered their shrimp noodles, mutton biriyani and fried rice. Maaan I swear it reminded me of amazing inherent taste of my Bangladeshi authentic chowmein back home. Soooo yummy food.
Owner is amazing. Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The best chicken kothuroti in the city and it goes great with some chicken curry on top. The stir fry noodles are just as good and dont forget the masala tea! #thankmelater

Delicious food and good portions
I visited the place after watching an Instagram video, and the food was amazing. I went three times in the same week, trying the non-veg thali, idli, shrimp fried rice, mutton rolls, vada, fish balls, and samosas all were really good. I highly recommend this place.
