Warm atmosphere and good pizzas! Excellent service! A restaurant that deserves to be known

We are baffled by how this restaurant has such a high Google rating, which was the primary reason we chose to eat there (needed to eat near the metro before an event). There were few people in the restaurant, but the food still came out very slowly, including appetizers and salads. What did come out 45 minutes later were some of the worst pizzas we ve ever had in Montreal, and we have had many. The mushroom pizza had perhaps six mushrooms total, and nothing had been cooked with any flavor (garlic, herbs, spices, whatever). Most of the crust was soggy. Our server, while very nice, didn t actually come by often enough for us to get water, order drinks when ours ran out, etc. Such a bizarre experience

I tried to order from this restaurant twice and both times had my order canceled! Why offer take-out or delivery orders if the restaurant is not able to offer them? Zero service!

I just ate the best pizza of my life! If I could give 10 stars I would. A gem to discover in Montreal. Warm welcome from Eve and Melek, relaxed atmosphere, in short, we are going back and sooner rather than later. A pizza that melts in your mouth. I recommend booking as places are limited.

One of the best pizza places in my life!! The wine was very reasonably priced and the appetizers had a perfect balance of flavors. I traveled from Ottawa and was very happy to be able to eat delicious pizza. Orange wine is highly recommended!! Be sure to try the Ghojule Pizza and Mushroom Pizza!!

La Toile is our favourite neighbourhood pizza spot. The sourdough pizzas are delicious and always served nice and hot - right out of the oven! In addition to the food being delicious, the staff is consistently so friendly and offer top customer service. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We love our visits to La Toile and continue to tell friends and family how great it is!

We came in for an early dinner after reading good reviews and la toile did not disappoint! The pizza was absolutely delicious (crust is out of this world) service was on point, the vibe was so great, and the chefs spicy sauce is NOT to be missed. Will definitely be back again!!! It was a beautiful evening, our last in Canada, and we had absolutely amazing food. We agreed that we hadnt had such good pizza for a long time. The starters such as the avocado with pesto, basil etc. and the world best sweet potatoes were also very tasty. Kudos to the people in the kitchen! The friendliness of the service was just great! Rarely have I experienced so much warmth. Everyone put their heart and soul into it. An almost forgotten espresso no longer counts. The restaurant was full, so that can happen. 10 instead of 5 possible stars! Au revoir!

A truly warm and unpretentious restaurant where the food is exquisite and the prices are more than fair. An increasingly rare commodity in the neighborhood.

God gave us smell, taste and sight, and for what purpose? With la Toile I might have found out. I am currently moving in with the woman who showed me this restaurant.

The service is A1. The waitress made sure everything was suitable and made suggestions based on tastes. The price is affordable with the quantity that is offered. Excellent food! Lots of taste

On Friday evening, we arrived at this Italian restaurant at 10:20 p.m., just ten minutes from closing time. Instead of rushing us to order takeout, the team greeted us with incredible warmth and invited us to sit down and enjoy our meal, without any rush. It was a real breath of fresh air! In a city where we are often pushed out as soon as closing time approaches, this experience was simply exceptional. We took our time, enjoyed an authentic pizza, probably the best in Montreal, and even enjoyed a dessert. The staff made us feel at home, and we were able to stay almost an hour after closing, without ever having to feel rushed. It s rare to find such hospitality these days. If you are looking for a place where you feel truly welcome and where the food is up to par, look no further: this is it. Hats off

La Toile surpassed my expectations- their food is incredible, the ambience is cozy and the service is friendly and welcoming. We tried the sweet potatoes, endives, pizza picante and the goat cheese and figs one and everything was incredible! Best pizza I ve ever had. Ate here with my husband and two kids and we had the best time. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was to die for! When you get a large pizza, you can do two different pizza styles in one so we didn t have to choose! The truffle one and the goat cheese/honey/prosciutto combo was incredible. The appetizers were also great. We got watermelon salad and cerviche which was an excellent salad though no fish included! So good I didn t mind that too much :) I wish we were staying longer in Montreal so we could go again soon.

Best pizza in St-henri, just dont order food for pickup. Three times now Ive placed an order for pickup, once through the web and twice over the phone. Each time, I arrive at the stated pickup time only to find out that they havent even started preparing the pizzas and I have to wait an extra 20-30 mins to get it. Please stop wasting peoples time.

Truffle pizza wow wow wow After several trips to Italy, nothing has been better than this one. Ultra soft crust, truffle not too overwhelming, prosciutto, etc. the PERFECT balance, even the salt and this without being greasy. We are now convinced for the future.

This is by far my favourite pizza in Montreal! Completely unpretentious and cozy made by an honest staff. Chef Francisco is a lifelong pizzaiolo who clearly loves what he does. Easily one of the best parts of living in St Henri. A restaurant ran by the owners is a rare gem!

This restaurant is really nice. It s a small, simple restaurant where the welcome is warm. We had a reservation, we arrived a little early and we got a place after waiting 5 minutes. The music is good and there is a very friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The small staff is very attentive and very good. Italian style pizzas are freshly made in small electric ovens (not wood ovens) They are very good. It was the first time I tasted Hawaiian pizza and I was pleasantly surprised!

Came here with my girlfriend for a date and our server Nathalie was hospitable and helpful. Prices were super reasonable and food was delicious still thinking about this a day later. Highly recommend!

I would give 6/5 stars if I could. One of my favourite places in the city. The pizza selection is always great and the sweet potatoes are the best Ive ever had. Service is always phenomenal, especially Natalie, who has been so kind to me every time I have come in. The cooks are also always friendly from inside the kitchen. Small businesses like these are what makes living in St Henri so awesome. Vegetarian options: They have great vegetarian options, and will even take meat off pizzas to accommodate when possible.

I had my doubts seeing a restaurant with such a perfect rating, but having now visited, I can confirm that its well deserved! The food was fantastic (the pizza is the kind best eaten with a knife and fork, thin and soft, but with a lot of flavour; I think its the kind of food that will be best had in the restaurant rather than delivered). I had the Al Pastor, which tasted like a taco and a pizza had a baby (very refreshing), and the fried chocolate balls for dessert, which werent overly sweet (its dark chocolate) and were well complemented by the strawberries. The service was prompt and very friendly (and perfectly bilingual; I ordered entirely in French but I saw others served perfectly in English). The restaurant itself has a quaint appealing vibe that was trendy but not pretentious. Its small, but they make good use of the space: one large table for big groups (up to 12), a couple benches for 4 or so people, and 3 two seaters. Theres also a tiny terrasse. As for the price, it was reasonable, not overly expensive, though not especially cheap either. Perfectly acceptable, all other factors considered. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and fully intend to visit again!

We found this little gem by chance. They use fresh ingredients and grow herbs right in the restaurant. We enjoyed a salad with mango, tomato, basil, feta, onion, which was amazing! Their pizza dough is nothing like what you find at a pizzeria; it s yellowish and delicious. The toppings were creative (fig, goat cheese, basil). Their coffee is excellent too! Service was pleasant and friendly. My only complaint is that I would have appreciated more toppings on the pizza. Too many bites of pizza dough only.

I honestly had high expectations as this is the first restaurant I have visited with 5 stars and over 200 reviews. Those kind of stats are just unheard off. And here I am adding to their well deserved streak. Thin crust with the perfect crisp, a combination that doesnt seem to hard to achieve, yet La Toile achieves this very well. Alongside their fresh ingredients and their not so circular looking pizza. This is a place I will visit frequently. I appreciated their service and their hospitality. Seems they value their customers opinions and are still experimenting with ideas. Definitely recommend for a date or even a group of friends. I am sure you will like their beer choice as well.

The appetizers and pizzas are simply out of this world, definitely some of the best in town. The toppings and flavor combinations are incredibly well thought-out. They also have a small but remarkable selection of hard to find craft beers.

Extremely unreliable. I guess making a reservation isnt good enough for them to save a table. We got there (5 minutes early) and the waitress told us our table had been filled. Then they made extra space for another group that didnt have a reservation and completely ignored us. Dont bother making a reservation for something important, odds are (as it was for us) theyll completely disregard you.

Pizzeria La Toile is a pizza lovers paradise that has left me utterly impressed. The moment I tasted their Al Pastor pizza with Sweet Bread Potatoes chips, I knew I had found something extraordinary. It was my first time trying this spot. All I can say is: Wow. Probably one of the best pizzas in Montreal. From the dough, to the fresh ingredients, flavours, etc. You can choose two kinds for a single pizza (half/half), which is amazing. New go-to for myself. The staff is also very kind!

This is a wonderful little find! From the outside, you would think it is a very ordinary restaurant. Cutest little family-style GEM in the sud-ouest! Totally lives up to the 5 stars - service was so attentive, the ambiance was really sweet/cozy, the wine list is super affordable (I have yet to see a restaurant with such good wine prices), the eggplant lasagna was amazing and the pizza was one of my top in Montreal! Such a quaint and charming spot! The service was efficient and the food was out of this world. The pizza we got was the goat cheese with hot honey, and the guanciale. Although it was lacking caramelized onions (we were told of this prior to ordering) the pizza was still fantastic. Freshly made on the spot, cheese melting, and not to mention the dough absolutely mind blowing. Not to mention such reasonable prices for the amazing quality.Honestly if I could rate more stars, I would. 100/10 recommended!!

By far, the best neapolitan pizza in the province! So delicious, amazing portion size, and wonderfully attentive service.

I was stuck at metro Lionel-Grouxl because of a breakdown on the orange line. I was starving so I decided to go out for something to eat and stumble on this restaurant. Saw it had 5 star and went in. I wasnt disappointed. The waitress and the atmosphere was super nice. I grab a simple margherita pizza with some hot sauce and a blonde beer. The crust of the pizza was perfect and the beer had a nice little fruity taste. It was exactly what I needed. Definitly worth its 5 stars.

Everything is perfect! The pizzas, the service and the warm atmosphere

But they are almost always closed. Their sign is so not good that I passed by it 3 times before I realized where it was. And I was specifically looking for this restaurant!

Superbe restaurant de dégustation de pizzas. J y suis allé en groupe pour une soirée entre collègues et j ai adoré mon expérience. Ce n est pas nécessairement le genre de pizzas que je mange habituellement, mais c était certainement plus raffiné que ce à quoi je suis habitué. Décor et ambiance chaleureuse, et excellent service de la part de tous les intervenants!
