Very nice and cozy restaurant with excellent fast service The staff is always on their feet and asking your experience about the food We had no reservations but were seated quickly. Started with coffee and smoothie and they were very good We then moved onto Chakchouka and Salman Gravlax and really Wow just beyond delicious Every bite was a gourmet s delight A 11/10 restaurant that is the perfect venue to chill and relax with friends and family while savouring the food

My second meal at this restaurant. Once again, really enjoyable experience! Everything was good and the service was very friendly. We were placed in an alcove near the door, and we were able to talk to each other in a calmer atmosphere than the main room We really liked it!

We went for the brunch on Saturday, Oct. 5. Food was great (it could have been a bit warmer though) but the service was bad. Staff is quite young and seems totally unmotivated, absolutely not interested. Its a job, they just doing it for money...well it shows. Wont come back soon.

Very beautiful restaurant, located on William Street, which is managed by its owner in an impeccable manner. The menu is quite limited, and is more or less Mediterranean. The portions are slightly small, but the quality of the products and the taste are impeccable. For a nice evening, with two or three couples of friends, this restaurant offers you a chic and lively atmosphere, and would be a very good choice.

They have dishes containing sunny side up eggs but, unfortunately, they cannot do scrambled or hard yolk - not even for pregnant women (me) or babies (my son). Best pancakes Ive ever eaten!

Had a reservation for 19:00 following Keops showing. When we arrived at the show, due to an emergency that afternoon, the waiting line was too long for us to be at our reservation on time. We took a chance and decided to go to Melisse first and arrived just before the opening at 18:00. They took us to their terrasse for a glass of wine and took us for dinner when they opened. We shared a few appetizers which were all very delicious. The host Jean Sebastien and the waiters were all very pleasant and professional. Would definitely return for a complete dinner

The hummus lacked pizazz; it wasjust ok. The chicken brochette was not very flavorful. Again, spices were lacking. The endive salad was very flavorful as was the dorade ceviche. The service was excellent!

Simply one of the most beautiful, pleasant and delicious restaurants in Montreal. I think the word that sums up this place is harmony . The brigade, the decor, the atmosphere, the food and the customers are in perfect synchronism. The sommelier suggests her wines to us like poetry. The food follows the tempo and the personalized service accompanies us in this experience. Passion, we taste it, we feel it!

Restaurant Mélisse had an incredibly pleasant atmosphere and was certainly a place for a group to socialize with cocktails. The interior was beautiful and the staff were dressed well - it felt like a relaxed fine dining spot you might find next to a beach resort. The manager was very nice to us when seating us, making us feel at home. It goes downhill from here... The cocktails we ordered were refreshing but had little flavour. No one offered another drink after we finished them. We ordered the fish, falafel, and meat dishes, and while the first two arrived within 15 minutes, the meat dish never came. My girlfriend doesnt eat red meat, so I tried a little of the fish and let her finish it. It came out as ceviche which was a surprise as we expected something cooked. No big deal, it was refreshing and had good flavours, but very simple. The falafels were small and hard, so I assume they were reheated, which made them difficult to eat with cutlery. Guests that arrived after us were served several dishes while we waited (all cold or simple dishes such as salads and lemon dressed spaghetti). After 40 minutes and no staff asking us for drinks or other food items, I had to flag the hostess to ask where the last dish was - if it hasnt started, please bring the check instead. She informed me after checking with the kitchen that it was cooked and coming. 15 minutes later I flagged a different host for the check since the prior hostess appeared to be avoiding me. 5 minutes later the manager comes to the table with cutlery for the meat dish, even though I wanted to leave. She informed me it was being made now. No thanks - please let me pay and leave so I can eat elsewhere. The manager then insisted we not pay the bill due to the inconvenience, and unnecessarily added that the menu is designed for sharing plates so they dont come out at once. I have never been to a tapas restaurant that takes longer than 20 minutes to serve a dish let alone an hour with no staff checking in. This was unacceptable and comping the check does not change that. Please be more mindful of your guests and consider removing cooked items from the menu if your kitchen cant handle them. Only being able to handle simple or reheated dishes makes Restaurant Mélisse come across pretentious even though it has a lot of potential.

This was an experience of beautifully subtle proportions! The atmosphere is amazing, beautiful décor, lighting, space. The food was beyond exceptional. For example, the endive salad is so perfectly dressed, that the endives themselves are not bitter at all. The beef tartar... OMG... absolutely heaven, and quite unique in its preparation. The staff is quite knowledgeable for wine pairing, as well as just being cozy and welcoming. VERY family atmosphere between all the staff, which shows they are well treated, and enjoy their job. This is always nice to see and feel. Cant wait until our next experience there!!!

Really a nice restaurant to come to with friends and eat tapas. The waiter was a little tiring asking us every 5 minutes if we had finished with our dishes... when our dishes were still full...

Atmosphere, vibes and service are a 10/10. We went there for supper. Staff were so sweet and helpful with us. But i do need to be honest and as for the food, we were flabbergasted by the portions sizes vs the prices. Portions are extremely small, you ll need to order at least 2 of everything. You definitely go there for the aesthetic and vibes.

This is my go-to and usually try to get there every week. I love everything about this restaurant!

In Old Montreal there are little pearls set back from the main arteries that surprise you and leave an impression on you. Melissa is a good example. I sometimes stop there at lunchtime and Im always delighted with my experience. The welcome is warm and sincere, and we offer an inventive and inspiring menu that evolves with the seasons. The Gaspésie halibut crudo is a work of art and rivals the great 5-star restaurants of Montreal. The wine list never ceases to surprise with a fine selection of wines by the glass. We leave delighted and reassured to see the restaurant crowded. Hats off to the whole team.

Incredibly good and well served!

2nd time at this restaurant; the terrace is superb, the service delicate and prompt and the food innovative and delicious. To try in the evening, the menu is even richer. The cost is not cheap Vegetarian options: some vegetarian options, but its not a vegetarian restaurant - falafel, salad, humous and nam bread, etc.

Le Mélisse is a big favorite because the decor is magnificent, the service is attentive, the wine and cocktail list is diverse and delicious (Torino vermouth, yummmm) and the food is simply exceptional. Everything was well executed, well presented in pretty dishes, flavors that were out of the ordinary....wow! There were 3 of us, with 5 courses, cocktails to start, a few glasses of wine then wine dessert to finish it all off, it was simply perfect. THANKS :)

A bit of a mixed impression for this restaurant... on a Sunday lunchtime, it was particularly noisy. Perhaps there is an arrangement to be made at an architectural level to limit the sound from circulating everywhere... And the brunch menu is not very extensive and quite expensive for the quality and quantities served. Impeccable service though. I need to come back to it to get a definitive idea.

Great food with nice flavours. They do have gluten-free and vegetarian option for brunch. It seems to be often busy, so it is better to make a reservation in advance. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free option available. We did specify while booking the dietary restriction, which helped ease up the process.

The new menue is NOT good for brunch we used to love this place, also 26$ for Shakshuka that is 2 eggs in a regular tomato sauce is actually a joke Note the suggested tip on the machine is calculated on top of tax, which is wrong, while the on on the bill is before tax but you don t have that option. Did the ownership or management change? Either way NOT going back

An absolute delight. They saved us during peak hours during Sunday brunch after our plans fell through. They could ve easily turned us away but they were extremely accommodating & the food was exceptional. Food is stunning, the staff is sweet and kind, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. This is one of my girlfriends and mines favourite restaurants in Montreal (Top 3). We have been there over 20 times including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is consistently delicious, the staff are so warm, the atmosphere is nice and elegant, they greatly execute their French theme, and always deliver great service. The owner puts a lot of hard work and care into the restaurant, which shows in its amazing reputation.

Le Mélisse is the perfect restaurant for a good, friendly outing with a magnificent atmosphere. I was lucky enough to be served by the owners daughter who spoke passionately about the type of cuisine and her familys love for the Mediterranean/Lebanese cuisine that they serve to customers. The menu changes quite often to diversify and introduce new recipes to as many people as possible. Awesome experience
