Vincent, an incredible server! Once a month but with incredible service!

Very good & fast service. The food is excellent as in all Zibo! which I visited by the way. Whether starters, dessert or main course. Too bad its not closer to the metro for accessibility.

The food was alright, the location was cute.

Artichoke/kale dip and chicken dumplings were great. We had salads with chicken added. The southwest salad was OK. Service was great. We went early to avoid crowds on Saturday.

Good brunch

I used to look past this place because it was a chain, but after a few horrible experiences at Mano Cornuto I decided to give it a try. Now Im a regular! The service is excellent, everyone on staff is warm and pleasant with no exceptions. The food is solid and consistent. You rarely need reservations. The bar side can get a little rowdy during games so I prefer getting a booth on the other side, which is quieter. I would recommend staying away from the pizza though, they should revisit the way they make it.

I had an amazing dining experience at Zibo in Griffintown, and the service was exceptional thanks to Jose. He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The ambiance was lively, and the food was perfectly cooked with delicious flavors. I ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend asking for Jose when you visit.

I dined at Zibo Griffintown today, it was up until now our go to for good food within a walking distance. While the food offered a decent experience, the service left much to be desired. Our server was only overwhelmed and inattentive when it came to our party of two. We were there for a quick bit, our order was fairly simple (two burgers) and yet we felt like the annoyance of the evening. I was not planning on leaving a review but based on his reaction to the tip (that was way too generous for the service we were given) i had to. While the food was okay; the service overshadowed the experience. Suffice to say I will not be returning.

We came here on the first evening of a week-long conference at the Alt Hotel (attached to the restaurant). We came back every evening! Andréanne and Gabriella are absolutely wonderful (I have 15 years in the hotel industry to judge) and Jessy, the manager, is on top of his game.

Upscale place in Griffintown that still has a casual vibe to it. Not super expensive and diverse menu, attentive waiters.

We went to this restaurant for dinner quite late at 10 p.m. and we were very well received. We chose salads, hearty and very large. The cocktails are also varied and excellent. Atmosphere Musical bar in the evening, a little too loud for an intimate atmosphere.

Delicious veggie burguer and pesto pizza. The oysters were also good, but you should go for 5-7 pm, to benefit from the reasonable price. Ambiance and plants are pretty. Thanks.

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Montreal! My companion and I are always delighted with the service, the kindness of the waitresses and waiters and their professionalism. As for the dishes, it s a real treat! We have been going back there now 5 times and passing by the pizza, pasta, burger and their famous General Tao we always have our taste buds in turmoil. The atmosphere during the week or at weekends is always very good. We 100% recommend this restaurant. A small reservation in advance is also recommended. Thanks to the whole team!

This place was a lifesaver. Very few places in Griffentown are kid-friendly. No kid s menu, staff that look annoyed if you show up with little kids, even at 5-5:30 pm when they re nearly empty. We wound up eating there twice, because the staff was warm and accommodating, they had a kids menu (and crayons!!!), and food our grandkids loved, especially Mac and cheese. Adult food was good too, with very good pizza. Wasn t a huge fan of their ravioli, but that was the only disappointment we had. Good beer (great local IPA) and desserts, though Canadians clearly don t know much about Key lime pie. Anyway, can t say enough good things about the staff and atmosphere at this place. Thank you from 2 grandparents watching their grandkids while their parents were at weekend wedding festivities. Kid-friendliness: Fabulous staff for kids.

GET THE SANTA FE BURGER!!!!! best burger ive had in my entire life! Went with my friend who got the steak sandwich loved it too.. but my burger was WOW! and the fries and mayo mix...wow!! service is very slow tho but worth the burger and fries with dip!

I recently visited Zibo Restaurant and was disappointed with both the service and the food. The service was slow, and it seemed like the kitchen was understaffed or poorly managed. Every dish lacked quality control, and some basic mistakes were made, like using the wrong type of cheese on a classic Margherita pizza. Even the Cantonese noodles in the chicken teriyaki were bland, making me wish I had just opted for a microwaveable version at home. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet the standards I expected from Zibo.

Okay, so I went to this totally awesome restaurant last night, and it was like stepping into a food fairy tale! The dishes were so tasty they could make a unicorn cry tears of joy. But seriously, the real magic was the restaurant manager. He was like a superhero in a crisp uniform. Every time he walked by, it was like the room lit up with sparkles. He had this smile that could probably melt glaciers, and I think he even noticed me because he asked if I enjoyed my meal. I nearly dropped my fork! I m totally planning my next visit just to see if he ll save me from a dragon or something.

Its really very good and varied and the wine list (many private imports) is extraordinary. Only complaint: the always open glass doors let the oppressive heat inside. For everything else, simply perfect!

I went there on a Friday night after a very long week, sitting at the bar is an amazing way to learn a lot about a place. Badi provided amazing service, excellent conversation and tons of jokes. The staff is welcoming and attentive, the service is efficient. Nice and clean establishment. The menu is varied and tempting, difficult to make a choice among all these options: salad, burger, pizza, pasta, steak... The dishes served were good and had good portions. During the summer period, a terrace is available, a real plus for sunny days...

Lunch. Varied menu, can suit and meet several different tastes and desires. Always great service. Super pleasant terrace in summer. Perfect for a meal alone, alone, with family or in a group. They offer a good choice on the wine list and have good cocktails. A weakness for their wood-fired pizzas...and their choice of meal salads.

I ordered takeout last night. A bacon cheddar burger with the chicken and chorizo poutine on the side instead of fries. Opened the bag when I get home to find a regular poutine with the sauce already poured on it, which it never is. Went back and told the hostess it s the wrong one. She brought my food back and I left again. Got outside and looked in the bag again to find chicken and chorizo slapped on top of the regular poutine I had got originally with no sauce on top of it. Went back for a third time and said there s no sauce. She came back and said they already put the sauce on it. I said normally it comes on the side and asked if they could remake the order cause at this point it had already been about 20-25 minutes. She said sure and brought me a new bag. The poutine was just about half the regular size it normally was and the burger was not remade and cold when I ate it. I ve been here many times and never experienced terrible service like this. I don t understand why they would offer takeout if they re going to act like they don t want to do it.

Great spot! We were staying in the Alt hotel next door and needed a quick spot to grab a bite in the evening. This did not disappoint. Very great food with awesome service.

Update (2024-07-09) Had to remove a star as the happy hour special was suddenly removed without notice and the only explanation was that the manager claimed they werent making money. Sadly , this was probably the highlight of the Griffintown area so to have this exceptional happy hour special removed zibo is just another bar in the area. The remainder of my review still holds true but it would have been much better for them to adjust the pricing but removing the cocktail special effectively reduced the options to a small handful of beers and wines. Original review : Been living in Griffintown a little while now and wanted to check out Zibo as a nice local place. Im really pleased with the selection, service , attention to detail and overall experience.

I had the bacon cheese burger and a Cesar all the food was amazing but that bacon cheese burger was the best burger I have had in my life and I m old my server was Jessie he was amazing all the service was. I will be returning back.

Visiting from out of town and we stopped here for some drinks and appetizers before meeting up with friends. Vincent was our waiter and recommended a couple appetizers to us that were absolutely amazing (the beef carpaccio and halloumi frites). I also ordered the spicy margaritas and it was super delicious. An excellent experience! We spent a wonderful evening last Friday at Zibo Griffintown. To begin with, we were made very welcome when we arrived. Then we were lucky enough to have Gabriella to serve us. She was smiling and attentive. Our meal was delicious. We loved the halloumi cheese fries and the cooking of the flank steak was excellent. I highly recommend the new cocktail: the beautiful Ryan. Really very good and refreshing! Thank you to the entire Zibo Griffintown team!

Disappointing experience. We had reserved the party room for a birthday celebration several weeks before. Once seated it took 25 minutes for a server to even appear to take our drink order. They explained that they were short-staffed, but our group was an afterthought while the servers focused on the outdoor section. We were never asked if we wanted additional drinks when all were empty, we had to flag the server down to get wine with dinner. Food was fine but nothing special. Hi, thanks for the reply to my comment. I did however send a message to the email over a week ago and no one has gotten back to me. I think this says quite a lot about the service, which is why the low mark in the first place....

Place is dark. Hard to see the food. Loud music so people can t hear you. Food was average. Service was horrible. Wasn t busy at the time we ate. Server can t seem to get our order right. Also disappeared. Our last order didn t arrive. Another server had to bring it after we had to waive him down.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for some time and have always appreciated the quality of their food. However, my recent experience with them through Uber Eats was extremely disappointing. Not only are the prices higher through the delivery platform, but the quality and quantity of the food delivered was simply awful. The order I received was not at all what I expected. The dish was mediocre, the steak undercooked, and the portions were significantly smaller than what Im used to receiving when I physically go into the restaurant. It s really regrettable to see an establishment whose cuisine I appreciated so much neglect the quality of its take-out orders. I am deeply disappointed and will think twice before ordering from you again through Uber Eats.

I recently dined at Restaurant ZIBO! and wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, the experience was unpleasant. The servers were welcoming. However, the food was horrible. I ordered the SOUTHWEST SALAD and it hardly had any seasoning. And I ordered STEAK-SANDWICH unfortunately the meat was uncooked and it didn t have the caramelized onions, it tasted horrible. And to be fair the onion soup is the only delicious item I ordered.

The veggie burger was ok. The patty was a bit firm. The halloumi fries were ok. The service was really good though.

So disappointed with the food at Griffintown location. Ive been to Zibo Vaudreuil and had an amazing experience and amazing food. So I wanted to treat my family while we were downtown Montreal and chose Zibo. Food was sub par. Noodles stuck together and lukewarm in pasta dish lacking flavour. Salmon tartar was gritty and unflavourful. Comparing to Zibo Vaudreuil it was a fail. Our waiter was good but seemed to forget about us by end of evening. All in all would not recommend this location.

Went to Zibo restaurant Friday March 8th with my wife. First time here. Nice atmosphere and food was good. Had an arrogant, cocky server named Eric. He is very dismissive, rude and walks around like he owns the place. Went back Saturday to give it another try. Unfortunately we were greeted, sat, and served by Eric again. Zero smile and we could tell he didnt want to serve us. This time he was rude right from the start, telling us we have to hurry, because there are reservations coming in an hour. When he asked what we wanted to drink, my wife said she didnt know yet. He turned and said to himself rude as he walked away. My wife and I had enough of this punk, and we walked out. Nice place, to bad we wont return because of a rude, arrogant jerk.

Served by Gabriella, kind with her beautiful smile, everything was perfect from starter to dessert, we enjoyed a very diverse menu. We will see each other again. Very good service at the bar and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, for the food, it was a first and last time. - Fried squid not cooked enough, lots of pieces that chewed like rubber so not cooked. - Sirloin requested Medium, no rosé, it was just overcooked. And the pepper sauce tasted like sauce that spent too much time in the freezer. The vegetables were excellent. Potatoes make you feel queasy after a long time. - Brownies dessert, decent but nothing more

An exceptional experience! We ordered the platter to share to mark our anniversary of meeting at this same restaurant 3 years ago; it was delicious! All the attentions were completely WOW, thanks to the whole team! I highly recommend.

I liked the restaurant, the subdued atmosphere and the TV with sports, very good, the wooden walls. very who and beautiful. for the service. a man served us well, very friendly (had tattoos on his arm to thank him) However, a woman (tall with short dress... very) served us with an unpleasant attitude. saying well whos that, then put it down loudly on the table, one of the friends at the table asked for a sausage starter, and she said, NO not true and left (probably as a joke) but the way she said it wasnt as if my friends review lied... but apart from that the meal was mine and was OK, not extra ordinary, a little cold, for a mac n cheese. another friend of mine received his squid much later. I understand that there were a lot of us. and services 1 and 2. but besides that, thank you to the worker.

Great place, food was for a good price and we stayed until the the dollar per oysters at five. All in all a wonderful dinning experience. We got the Mac and cheese, the Santa Fe Beef burgers, and a lobster pasta all of which were well made and delicious.

Beautiful place! We were warned that there would be a slight delay in the service given the lack of staff. Despite the wait was reasonable. The only downside was that several items were missing from the menu which were not available.

A decent restaurant, a good menu with really hearty salads, desserts for those with a sweet tooth (the soft cookie with a scoop of ice cream is killer). Be careful for the lemon tart, its not whipped cream but a pretty good cream Very good espresso. A pleasant and fast service. Normal prices for the Griffintown district...be careful, its difficult to find a parking space.

We have always been well received at this establishment. The staff are super welcoming and the quality of the food is excellent. Some may criticize that Zibo is a chain but you will not be disappointed with your experience.

Very good option in Griffintown. We often go for lunch and grab a salad. Very good, large portions. A bit pricey for a lunch option, but service is quick and we can get back to work on time. We ve tried to go during the evening a few times and were turned away even though there was room because they didn t have the staff to cover the entire restaurant.

It s a fun place to hang out with friends, but food/drinks are way too expensive for the portion you get.

This was our first time at ZIBO and it was kind of a disaster. 3 of the dishes we wanted to order werent available which is okay, however the steak I ordered was cold, and the vegetables had a hair in it. The potatos that came with the steak were scallop cheese potatos which isnt stated on the menu and Im lactose-intolerant unfortunately. My wife was pleased as she loves cheese though. The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice. Its a huge restaurant, and the seating was very comfortable. They also gave us a free desert for the trouble which was pretty good! Im not sure if wed visit again as were not from Montreal, but Im sure our experience was just a one-off.

They were at dinner with their son - they sat outside, brought a blanket, when it started to rain, they quickly moved into the hall. The dishes were fresh and tasty. I ordered pasta with 4 cheeses - very tasty. The waiter Jesse - cheerful and energetic - added good emotions. Portions are large - we did not increase everything. Thanks to the institution

Good experience, nice decor, high-level service. They had a gluten-free menu. Food ws nice, without being mind-blowing. Cant escape feeling slightly formulaic.

The service is simply perfect and my Caesar salad with grilled chicken was the best Ive ever had :) The pitcher of sangria ($29 for 4 glasses) is an economical option for sharing. Dietary restrictions: There are no pizza or burger options with vegan cheese for those who do not eat dairy products.

I went there for lunch with my friend on Sunday. I ordered the pan-fried salmon and it was very delicious. The salmon was soft and flavorful. The rice and veggies that came with it were good but nothing special. My friend ordered a chicken burger and her fries were perfect, thin and crunchy. I ended up eating most of them. The waitress was also very nice and helped my friend decide what to order. I will definitely eat there again.

I was there for happy hour with my friends and we had a lot of oysters they were delicious and fresh! Going back every week now ! The overall experience and the professional and funny service of Eric was the best I ve received in Montreal since Covid started, good job!

Went to an EMPTY ZIBO today for Oysters and the restaurant was almost empty. Ordered drinks and waited for 35 mins for our appetizers that never came. 42 mins after our order, the waiter came and asked in a very condescending manner Do you know how to open oysters, it takes very long? There is a reason we go to restaurants, so that we dont have to do this at home!

Food is not the best quality for the price. Also was a bit cold and not the best quality but good portions!

Once we were seated We waited for 15 minutes to place our order for 2 drinks and some oysters. The restaurant wasn t busy at all but we didn t receive our oysters for another 40 minutes. During that time nobody checked on us either. We paid for the drinks and left without getting the oysters.

Food is ok in person and service is usually good. Can t recommend ordering from them through, half the items were missing and the items we did get were awful, unless you like overcooked steak and unseasoned potatoes.

Great oysters for 1$!!!

Drinks are decent but food is not great, I had low expectations but it is really average, like supermarket pasta sauce and overcooked pasta. Service needs a lot of improvement. We had 3 different waiters in a period of 2 hours, the place was not busy but even then, we asked for things and they never came until we asked twice. Music was very loud so it s possible they didn t really hear us properly. I ve been to Zibo! at other locations and this one has been the worst

Very lively restaurant with very personable servers. The food was fantastic. Full bodied bisque and generous amount of shrimp with the lobster fettuccine.

The food tartar and the oysters were good. 1$ oysters, just dont expect them to be huge.

Average food, not very good service felt rushed and pressured to leave to free up a table.

We recently had an exceptional experience at this restaurant which truly impressed us. Despite some technical difficulties in the kitchen, we had a memorable evening. As soon as we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and with a smile, immediately putting us at ease. Beyond the delicious food, the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant allowed us to have a pleasant time. The staff was attentive, providing us with food and wine recommendations. In short, despite the difficulties, the restaurant was able to transform this situation into an unforgettable experience for our group of almost 30 people. The professionalism of the staff and their dedication contributed to making our evening an exceptional one. Thank you so much !

Worst restaurant service! I went Tuesday evening because I was at the ALT hotel next door... When we came back, we immediately saw that they couldnt wait to close and that they were not happy to see other customers. We are told that the kitchen is closed at 9 a.m. ok. But we still stay for a drink... At 10am the manager I think tells us that its time to finish our drink that its quite late! Really said like that! So lets see!

We had lunch here twice in one week as we were attending an event at the next door hotel. Restaurant is bright and cheery, well laid out. Tables and chairs were pub sturdy and comfortable. The staff were great...always friendly and accommodating. The menu was not extensive but well crafted with a variety of dishes that will satisfy any large crowd. All of the dishes we had were tasty, arrived fairly quickly, and were of good lunch portion size. Washroom was modern and clean. Entrance by either street or through the hotel would be considered handicap accessible. Staff were bi-lingual, welcoming and friendly. I would certainly consider eating here again. I recommend.
