Delicious! Very flavourful menu.

This was my first time trying an Indonesian restaurant. I really liked the new flavors I discovered. however I found that it was a little expensive, and that the quantity was small, but apart from that I liked my experience and above all I found that the restaurant was very beautiful and very pleasant.

The discovery of Indonesian cuisine, a true sensory journey, left us speechless. As soon as we arrived, the warm and attentive welcome from the server immediately set the table for a memorable experience. The latter, visibly passionate about the cuisine of his country, did not hesitate to advise us and guide us through the delights on the menu. We started with a crispy starter of fried mushrooms, perfectly browned, with a melty texture inside. Pure pleasure in every bite! Then came the highlight of our meal: the fried chicken, covered in a honey-chili sauce, a subtle balance of sweet and spicy that dances on the taste buds. The crispiness of the chicken combined with this addictive sauce makes this a simply unforgettable dish. On the servers recommendation, we also tasted a seafood broth, a real explosion of flavors. Scallops, shrimp and squid were bathed in creamy coconut milk, creating a combination that was both delicate and powerful. Each ingredient seemed to have been carefully selected to enhance the whole. The service, for its part, was impeccable. The waiter, always smiling and caring, seemed genuinely eager to share the secrets of Indonesian cuisine with us. He knew how to make this meal not only a culinary experience, but also a human one. A place where we come back, as much for the quality of the dishes as for the attention given to customers.

One of the servers acted kind of rude and bizarre after we said we didn t want to do the mtl a la table 65$ thing which he tried to sell like a sales pitch. One of the people I was with asked what beer is popular and the server said something along the lines of well it s beer in a dismissive way. He also said they have made their menu portions smaller to highlight the course menu?? So I m paying the same price for a smaller portion?? Bunch of menu items weren t available. Felt pressured to order more. the portions were very small and very expensive, overall the taste was pretty good. Not worth it to me overall with the weird vibes from the server and the overpriced small portions

Delicious!!! I have rarely eaten so well in my life! We had the beef satay and chicken satay, the little peanut and lemongrass sauce on the side was exceptional. The coconut milk rice was excellent. The chicken drumsticks were just spicy enough and very tasty. I will definitely come back. So we had 4 dishes, rice and 2 glasses for a total of $100. Dietary restrictions: Several meat-free dishes, everything is gluten-free (except the beer) and the waiter asks if you have any allergies when you order.

True Indonesian cuisine is rare outside of Asia. You must therefore take advantage of it in Montreal with this excellent address. We tasted beef rendang, satays, Balado shrimp, spicy chicken. Knowing the rendang from an Indonesian friend, I wanted to try it. Really didnt find the same flavors, much too dry, just like the rice. Nice atmosphere but restaurant that is riding on its current hype in my opinion.

Service was ok and atmosphere is nice but thats about it. I had the squid. It was ridiculously small and came with no side. It was supposed to be marinated but it was bland, I couldnt really taste anything.

Ive been craving and missing Indo-Malay cuisine for years, and having Satu Lagi in Montreal just makes me want to go and feast. So went there during lunch on a Friday and ordered the Nasi Campur - Mixed Rice, Nasi kuning, beef rendang, 1 telur belado, 1 stick chicken satay, a bit of sayur lemak and keropok udang for 32CAD. People will say expensive, but I guess due to rarity for this type of cuisine here in Montreal makes it worth it. And yes, if you want to taste and you miss Indo-Malay food, then come here. The rendang is as good as it get, the satay is more into kicap manis type than the turmeric kunyit variety. The telur belado really has that kick, though I guess they tried to mellow it down a bit for western pallet. What can I say? I cant wait to try their nasi lemak and bakar ikan pari. And hopefully theyll do an ayam penyet .

Absolutely incredible! We were greeted by the friendliest staff member when we walked in and the food was off the charts tasty! We are now back in Toronto and praying they open a location here. We had the most incredible dinner at Satu Lagi during our trip to Montreal. The resto is fully GF so you can enjoy a delicious meal fully relaxed. This popular spot is super busy so book reservations in advance. Absolutely everything we ordered was INCREDIBLE!!!! Beautiful environment with an open kitchen. Stylish and cool. We enjoyed our meal with a bottle of Saki and our 12 year old was delighted with the unusual stunning colour of her crème brûlée. Order lots of small plates to enjoy many different flavours. You won t be disappointed. Some of our favourites were: crispy fried mushrooms, chicken satay with peanut sauce, vegetables & tofu in coconut milk, grilled Chinese broccoli, coconut milk beef stew, both rice dishes, etc etc etc. We want to visit Montreal again just to return to this restaurant!!! Malaysian here, definitely not authentic malaysian food. Also note that this is more focus on Malay cuisine which I dont mind. But Malaysia cuisine is very diverse. The description says peranakan style curry but my gf and I just got back from penang. This is not peranakan style curry lol. Maybe the owner trying to adjust the taste to fits local tastebuds. But even my Quebecois friend say it was just ok... When my gf went to Malaysia, she absolutely love the food there. From Durian Curry, Nasi Kerabu (blue rice), Hokkien Mee (stir fry thick noodle with dark soy sauce), Roti Pisang (banana roti) etc I will suggest owner or future Malaysian restaurant owner just tone down spiciness and keep the same flavor back from Malaysia and youre good to go. People will rush in like mad. Edit: Dont use cilantro, lime on everything as well. Satay with lime? wut and not even real satay.

Great welcome and atmosphere with Indonesian fusion cuisine. It was good, original and really enjoyable. $200/2 people before tip may be a little more expensive than I expected but it was a really good time. Three entries A sambal 2 main dishes 6 beers

What a fun night! The outdoor seating was lovely, food was amazing, and the service was really friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back!

The rice was dry and flavorless; We had the vegetarian stew; :-) The proteins had not been simmered, it looked like pieces had been added at the last moment. Not good at all. The service was slow, we waited 1 hour for this dish. The only good note is a great bartender who knows his local beers.

So yes, the food was very good, but nothing that justifies such high prices! The portions are tiny. We were hungry when we left, so we went to eat at Mont-Royal hotdog. That was a real meal!

Huge surprise! A delight, with great staff! Special mention to the sapi bakar, the beef was crispy on the outside, red and tender on the inside, with spices to match it to perfection. Yum!

I wanted to love this place and had high hopes for it after looking at the menu. The cocktails had little to no taste, they tasted watery. They completely ran out of white wine after we ordered. Food was ok but not very warm, felt like it was sitting in the kitchen for a while. Was overpriced for the quality of the food and cocktails. For 200$ per person you can find better options.

Great discovery, the cuisine is tasty, everything is very tasty and plentiful, the service is great and the decor is top notch. Decent value for money with a small downside on the price of the satay skewers (a little small for the price). We will go back! the food is so unique and amazing! its a wonderful and refreshing experience to try Indonesian/Malaysian cuisine that isnt as popular like other parts of Asias culinary game. i highly recommend the sambals, beef rendang, fried fish, jackfruit stew, the fried chicken with fermented honey, pandan crême brûlée and the pandan drink is delightful! do be prepared as Indo/Malay cooking is spicyyy!!! otherwise, the chefs really have the flavour profile down - coconut, galangal, lime, chilis, tamarind, etc. the staff and service is always great too :)

The server kept bothering us to buy drinks even though I clearly stated just water. My plate had an egg shell... No vegan options. Limited vegetarian options.

1. Food was really bad! Yellow rice was undercooked and cold, like they just warmed up yesterday rice in the microwave. Beef was really dry. Nothing special at all and it s not authentic. 2. Service was really slow! We waited around 45 min for 2 dish and it wasn t busy at all ( only a few tables). Waiter was annoying. 3. Kitchen stuff and barmen(with really long hair)didn t have kitchen hat, they walked around kitchen and her hair easily can fall on dishes . 4. Prices are really high for this kind and quality of food.

The food was delicious, particularly the fried mushrooms, it was like a flavour explosion, so unique. Everything was really good, but I did think that for what it was, it was a bit pricey, compared to similar places I ve been to. Still a unique and delightful dining experience I would highly recommend.

Poor value for money, and the feeling of being cheated by paying $36 for a dish of scallops advertised as medium size on the menu, on a puree (therefore supposedly consistent), to actually receive 5 scallops on a small quantity of sauce. .. Beef curry served dry, overcooked and without sauce. Big disappointment. The chicken curry was okay.

This restaurant offers high quality Indo-Malaysian tapas, a type of cuisine and concept that stands out among other more generic and touristy stops okay Mont Royal. If you are looking for more of an upscale experience in that neighborhood, with high quality service and an extensive wine list (not to mention great cocktails), then Satu Lagi is your spot.

This place has the best food and service I ve had in Montreal in years. The food flavour wise is complex and dynamic. The wait staff is attentive and quick. Nothing but great things to say about Satu Lagi - everything exceeded expectations. Traveling with Celiac disease is always stressful, so being able to have anything in the menu is such a treat. And even more so when its all delicious. We ordered the fried mushrooms (Jamur Jamur), the broccoli (Kailan), and the scallops (Pétoncles Poêlées) - all excellent, but I think the fried fish cakes was the star appetizer. The curry chicken (Kari Ayam) was our favorite main, and the satay was a top notch side car. Disappointed to report we didnt sane room for dessert, but I can attest that the cocktail I had (the chili mutiara) was phenomenal. I like a little heat in my cocktail, and along with the smoke from the mezcal this was on point. As if the food (did I mention entirely gluten free?) wasnt enough of a reason to visit, the service, ambiance, and location all exceeded expectations too. Dietary restrictions: Entirely gluten free. I love a celiac safe kitchen.

Although most of the food was good, we did take issue with the portion size. When we ordered the chicken wings, it said 5/ch and 6/ch, which we assumed would mean we got our 5 and 6 pieces respectively. What ended up happening was that we only got one big chicken wing, one of them lathered in a very spicy sauce. We do know that in the menu it said it would be spicy, but we do feel as if it was too spicy. When we commented lightheartedly on this to the waiter, he said that he should have warned us. The sauce on my friend s plate, which was placed on the side, was not advertised as spicy either. Although the ingredients were clearly listed on the menu item of the chocolate pudding, we did not know that it would leave a bad taste. My only question is why would you make a chocolate pudding with durian, a fruit that s supposed to taste like cheese, almonds, garlic and caramel all at once? Maybe it wasn t for me, but I found the taste to be very unpleasant. Our last complaint is how they will have a 2 groups of 2 people share an outdoor table of 4 without warning. I made a reservation for 2 at the counter but our hostess asked if we would prefer eating outdoors without letting us know of the possibility of being sat with others later on. We did have 2 people sat with us, however, one of them showed and verbally expressed discomfort and decided to eat somewhere else. A minute later, another 2 people sat with us without asking my friend and I any sort of permission. We understand that other tables may be reserved, but we feel as if the 2 connected tables should be separated in order to create space and privacy. It was awkward for both parties, none of us talking at all and when we did we were able to hear everything. The last group of 2 people did ask for the tables next to us, but the hostess said that they were for 4 people.

We didnt have a reservation and were given a table on the terrace with no time limit. Effectively, we were able to enjoy the food without pressure and were able to order more options from the menu. Also the service was excellent.

Honestly the rendang taste is very authentic (Malaysia). Everything else is a mix of Malaysia and Indonesia.

This super cute and fun restaurant says the entire menu is gluten free. Went there last night with a friend, both of us have celiac disease and both of us were super sick afterwards. Maybe a one of mistake but sadly I would not recommend this restaurant if you have celiac disease. The owner contacted me to find out what we ate in order to figure out what happened. Delicious, great discovery!

Incredibly unique and tasty menu. We had a table of 5 and everything was shared. The plates were thoughtfully portioned for the 5 of us, and it was easy to pass around. The assorted sambal flight was a nice variety of flavours to test and to dip other satay or bites in. Ranged from spicy, to earthy, to slightly sweet. The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection, meaty and savoury. The satay had a nice char and super easy to eat. Scallop and calamari flavourful and clean. So much I could say. Service was also very friendly and accommodating of a rush we were in to head to a concert. Would highly recommend and I would be back in an instant when visiting Montreal.

An uneven experience. Some dishes impressed us (satay belacan, sautéed tofu, squid). The sambals are excellent. But other dishes are very ordinary (chicken drumsticks, whole fish) Lots of fried dishes. The cocktails are original. The service was rather slow. The atmosphere is noisy and it is difficult to have a conversation. The tapas formula is original and allows you to taste and share a range of dishes.

I highly recommend Satu Lagi. The food and drinks are incredible and the service is impeccable. You won t regret it, trust me!

The cocktails were very tasty, good service and a special mention to the duck (bebek goreng) and rendang. Stunning food with amazing flavours and execution on the cooking. The mushrooms were addictive, so well fried yet light, the spices were on point. The rendang daging was deep and complex in flavour and the deep fried fish was a showstopper - each part of the fist was so perfectly fried that it could be eaten with the delicious sauces provided. Service was attentive and friendly. Definitely will return to try their skate wing!

Very good service and delicious dishes even if they have been revisited with a North American style (Gado Gado, Rendang and the different Sates). Jamur Jamur are oily which makes them tasteless. The very negative point which kills the whole experience was the very high volume of the music: you have to scream to have a conversation. Is it to be sure to make customers leave after 2 hours of dinner? Club music more suitable... for a club! Odd choice given the age of the clientele: there werent many young people in fact. Listening to gamelan would have been more pleasant... that s saying something! Sayang jika semua usaha disia-siakan dengan suasana yang jauh dari budaya Indonesia. Ada musik kecapi yang bagus misalnya.

The food is very delicious, although it seems a little high to me the price is definitely worth it. Only the desserts dont feel fresh, so I would stick with just the food. Portions are small, but again, very tasty.

The fact that this place is entirely gluten free and lactose free made it a paradise for my family as my brother is celiac and I am lactose intolerant. The ambiance is elegant and cozy at the same time. We tried quite a few items on the menu and the fried mushrooms (Jamie Jamur), spicy shrimp (Balado Udang Petai), and chicken satay brochette (Satay Ayam) were clear standouts. The real flavors of Indonesia! Their Gado Gado reminded me of the ones I ate in the warungs of Java! Fast service, attentive staff. I remove one star for the price/quantity ratio: the same price for more generous portions would not have bothered me given the quality, but even with 1 medium dish, a large one and a portion of rice per person, even the most restricted eaters remained a little hungry (without obviously coming out hungry either) Lots of small tables, when the room is full the hubbub quickly takes over. Beautiful address in Plateau Mont-Royal. Nice welcome with courteous and efficient service. The dining room is a little noisy but nice atmosphere. Tapas style restaurant. The dishes are well prepared and tasty. However, I am deducting one star because the prices are too expensive for the quantities and cuts of meat such as thigh or bone-in chicken leg. Very difficult to share with guests. Not to be overlooked, you have 2 hours to eat your meal. For a group that wants to have a good time, its still fair. $300 for 4 adults with 1 alcoholic beverage each.

Just incredible. I was in heaven. Highly recommend the Jamur Jamur - perfectly crispy fried mushrooms, and the Gado Gado (best peanut sauce dish I ve ever had). SO GOOD! This restaurant is about to become a big hit, I can tell! We tried a wide array of the recommended dishes on the menu, and the cocktails. The cocktails were absolutely amazing, original and thoughtful. Well-presented. Something you would expect at a speakeasy, but nice to see it in a restaurant setting. They are quite pricy, however, especially the featured cocktails. The food was mostly great. Out of the 8 or so dishes we got, I would say 6 were absolute standouts that I had not seen done this way before. The crispy chicken, the rendang and the crispy mushrooms, not to the forget the spicy prawns were flawless. Definitely get the rice dishes to soak up the real hero of the dishes: the sauces. Some dishes such as the warm salad and skate wing were less impressive and lacked the punch we saw from other dishes. The prices are reasonable, a meal would come around 60-70$ per person with cocktails. I will be coming back!

The only less stellar dish was the ray, where the meat around the bone was not a lot and not as tasty. However, the fish was still cooked perfectly, with a delicious sauce. The table close to the window was a bit colder than the rest of the restaurant, so if you suffer cold you should ask for a table on the main floor.Will definitely come back.

Rather disappointing: rendang beef had too much fat and lacked flavor. Shrimp also lacked flavor, as did the gado gado. Fried mushrooms and cocktails were ok. I had higher expectations based on the reviews. Wouldnt return.

I liked it! You should know that the lunch menu is very limited and that everything is subject to stock availability. However, it made me want to go back to try the full menu.

Food here was great, super flavourful and the cocktails were really nice. Don t skip out on the satay!! Nice spot for a date or dinner with friends. My only critic is related to the service. I like sitting at the bar when the kitchen is right behind it to be closer to the action, but the cooks seemed really bored and didnt hide it lol. Big yawns, sometimes on their phone while waiting at the fryer. One guy fully took off his cap and shook out his hair. I totally get having off days, but it just dimmed the experience a little. I d still go back!

Wonderful discovery. Lots of choices to share and try the different dishes. Many mocktail choices and the cocktails are extremely inventive. Patio in summer is lovely. Might be tough to get a table in the winter. All gluten free. Dietary restrictions: All gluten free.

The food was good dont get me wrong, but the spices were just not there for indo food. The only dish that got it right was the fried mushrooms. If they seasoned everything like they seasoned the mushrooms it would be a 5 star. Instead, everything just sort of tasted like oil. The curry was not spicy at all and the rice had way too much coconut milk (both yellow and white). The waiters were very good.

Really loved my first Time here. All the dishes were delicious! The fried mushrooms - fabulous. The chicken skewers wonderful. The tofu in egg yum!!! All of it was great! Service was impeccable and I m really looking forward to going back!!

Told a friend I wasnt into Indonesian food and had been to Bali, he told me I didnt have good Indonesian food and brought me here and it changed my mind. Everything we had was delicious! The drinks are yummy too and are made from someone off a food Netflix show. Most things have a little heat (spice to it) but not unreasonably so. Everything was tasty and tender. The tofu was awesome, never had that before.

Wonderful new restaurant. Eating Indonesian food this good made me a little homesick. Both cocktails and mocktails were excellent. Only missing dish was sambal goreng boncis ;) Oh, and sambal badjak. Now hoping they will also open for lunch Food

A gem in Montreal!! Indonesian food The food is fabulous and sooo tasty!! The beef Rendang was the star of the show. It melted in my mouth and the taste was out of this world. We also tried Ayam goreng (fried chicken), Kailan (Chinese broccoli), mango mojito, Ruz Maison( rice), Ayam Bakar and lastly tumeric rice. They were all tasty and worth the price!! A must visit

Was really excited to try this place, planned the Montreal trip also around it. Was a bit disappointed. Not that the food wasnt good, but it just wasnt anything special for the price. The service, atmosphere and overall maintenance was great but they could up their game with the variety on food. The cocktail was also good (Paradin Rice). We had the Satay Daging (beef) and marinated Calamari. We also tried the Fried chicken. Vegetarian options: They have options with Tofu

One of the very few (if not only) Indonesian inspired restaurants in Montreal, Satu Lagu was a nice place to enjoy Asian style food but of a particular savor that you would not normally be accustomed too...its certainly not Chinese, nor Vietnamese (although closer to the latter than the former) with a lighter set of flavors and with an emphasis on umami-like essences. Located on Mont-Royal East, the décor of the restaurant is clean, bright with hints of the cuisines cultural roots (monkey light fixtures, rattan ceiling details, etc...) while the meal service is more tapas style than anything else. For our meal we asked our server (a very friendly and helpful Juliette) for the best-of options and went from there. We had the Ayam Goreng (plain and Manis (which is very spicy)...essentially fried chicken drumsticks but with an excellent batter), Belacan Satay (simple chicken skewers with a gritty shrimp flavored peanut sauce...good), Tauhu Telur Asin (a fried tofu dish...excellent), Kailan (a spinach/broccoli style dish with oyster sauce flavoring...good) and the House (Jasmin) Rice with Coconut flavoring (very good). For dessert we had a surprisingly excellent Pandan Creme Brule...very, very good. Finally, we paired the meal with a surprisingly appropriate beer called Doux Bisous which had a light citrus flavor and really worked well with this style of cuisine. The food portions were on the smaller side (like tapas) however the service was done one dish at a time with the rice at the end. This was not how we eat typical meals as we prefer rice to be included and used as a base for the dish. We didnt realize this until the end but, now that we know we would have asked for the dishes to be served in quick sequence and especially for the rice to be brought earlier. Service was very good and, as mentioned, our server was knowledgeable and helpful. Tired of the same-old Chinese and Vietnamese dishes then certainly give Satu Lagi a try. Enjoy!

Very good food menu! The Cocktail menu seems very interesting, but when it comes to beers/wines, it leaves something to be desired. Lack of selection for beers, and wines are a little expensive.

Fantastic everything!!! The portions for the main dishes are quite large and filling. We ended up sharing 3 starters (the calamari, fried mushrooms and the fried honey garlic chicken - one piece each) and 3 main dishes in between 3 people (with 2 portions of rice - one of each kind - so freaking delicious!!) and we were stuffed. The sting ray was an amazing surprise, in terms of flavor and texture. The rendang sauce is incredible and the gado gado is so fresh and filling and delicious. We also tried the cocktails and they were nice (the susu and the is it pomelo? Were particular standouts). The staff was super sweet and helpful. A great experience with incredible flavors. And everything gluten free! My celiac friend was in heaven. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free!! Likely dairy free as well

Food was good from what we tried. Mushrooms and tofu appetizers were very good. The beef skewers were a bit dry. Would have gone back and tried more stuff but the wine list was so small ( 3 whites and 3 reds starting at 75$ per bottle). I think thats not the price range I am expecting with this type of comfort food to be honest. Also, felt cramped sitting on a table with like a foot distance with the next one. People almost knocked over our glasses trying to get out of their booth and I had the behind of the staff on our table many times when they served the tables next to us. Would not go back for theses reasons.

The food and cocktails were exquisite. The squash satay was my favorite. The Susu cocktail hadnsuch complex multilayered taste, I almost cried! The pandan creme brulee was another hit with our group.

Absolutely loved this restaurant and the experience. Great atmosphere, great service, most importantly excellent food. After returning from Bali earlier this year Ive been craving Indonesian food but we lack restaurants that serve authentic Indonesian dishes and flavours. Sister brought me here as she thoroughly enjoyed dining here previously. Dishes I recommend: balado udang patai (that galangal ), gado gado (kangkung was cooked perfectly), tempeh satay (they do tempeh well!), ayam goreng manis (wow chili honey), rendang daging (so flavourful).

Perfect for celiacs and evenings with friends! The small space of the restaurant creates a calm and warm atmosphere. We had very good service and all the staff were really friendly. Favorite for Indonesian beef, pandan crème brûlée, puffed tofu.

I came twice. The service experience was much better the second time, because the first time the dishes arrived haphazardly. I came back because sometimes when restaurants have just opened there are adjustments to be made. But unfortunately the dishes are definitely way too spicy for me. The beef skewers are delicious. The bean sprout dish is almost inedible due to the extraordinarily high amount of salt. I felt like I was developing high blood pressure just from having it in my mouth. The rice is ok, the beef stew very good. The card is very expensive. Its a shame. The disadvantage of a small place is indeed the excessive proximity with the table neighbors, who jostle us when they pass or whose conversations occasionally disturb ours. I would still tend to encourage people to go for a walk if their palate is attacked!

We were really looking forward to eating here but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We tried the Montréal à Table special menu. Some dishes were fabulous, notably the squash skewer, the lamb and the fish, while others were good but less remarkable (the salad and the desserts). Everything was a little spicy, but the nasi goreng was way too hot (one person couldnt finish it) and there was no warning of this in the menu or from our server beforehand. That didnt conclude things well. Portions were acceptable but on the small side. We didnt try cocktails, but the wines we had were excellent. Note that even though they emphasize the gluten-free food, they do not have any gluten-free beers. Our server was quite nice, but service overall was rather disorganized. It seemed to us that the aids were unexperienced. New dishes were brought while the previous werent finished and yet other dishes were put on our table without clearing out those that were finished (we had to ask for them to be removed, despite the fact that they could barely find a spot for the new ones). The music was actually good, but it was in our opinion a little loud for a restaurant, the atmosphere was closer to what youd expect in a cocktail bar. Though we had made a reservation, they put another reservation on our table 2 hours after ours, and as a result, we were politely asked to leave so they could accommodate the next guests. This added to the feeling of being rushed throughout the meal. Most of what we experienced was probably circumstantial (new tasting menu, new staff(?), busy Saturday night) but overall it didnt make for a very pleasant experience.

Yum! This place is great. Food was really good. I especially recommend the gai lan (Chinese broccoli) it was so good it gave me goosebumps! The beef rendang was also 11/10. Soooo good. The only dish I would skip is the fried mushrooms. They were too greesy and bitter from the turmeric. Otherwise, I definitely recommend everything.

Amazing flavours and atmosphere! I enjoyed the dine-in service with some friends and ordered about 4 tapas, a medium dish and some rice. The food was beyond flavourful and aromatic! Fun place to go with friends! Definitely try the mushrooms and don t forget the coconut rice!

The first impression of this restaurant when I went to visit. 100% gluten free food for my hubby. Very good services to recommend the menu for us in the first time. The taste of food is very very tasty . The size of dishes are not too big and we can share. The price is reasonable. My favorite drink is non-alcoholic with pandan leaf and coconut thats also including my dessert. The atmosphere is very cool and nice . We will come back to this restaurant often very sure. Best Malaysian restaurant in Montreal!

The warm reception and the pretty decor quickly gave us the desire to try these unknown dishes. First Satay Daging and Cumi Bakar Bali followed by Grilled Skate Wings and a delicious Rendang Daging, all accompanied by a generous (too) dish of jasmine rice with coconut milk and lemongrass. The only negative notes for us were that the music was intrusive, the table near the window (too cold), and the food waste caused by too much rice for 2 people. Finally, we will definitely return Vegetarian options: several dishes are vegetarian

From the satay to the bebek goreng, including the pandan crème brûlée and the cocktails, everything was delicious, but the rendang daging is something else... absolutely succulent, a true marvel!

Satu Lagi is a very, very nice addition to the Plateau district. Montreal was missing a restaurant that serves delicious Malaysian-Indonesian cuisine (the last very good restaurant to my knowledge was Nonya, in Outremont, which has not existed for years) and having had a memorable stay in Indonesia 10 years ago. years, I can assure you that the satay ayam are just as good! I was a little afraid of the idea that it would only be an Instagrammable and hip place, but the authenticity, the combination of spices and flavors is really there. To try! P.S.: Youve never had a crème brûlée like the pandan one. P.P.S. : Very nice choice for vegetarians and everything is gluten-free!

Fantastic food. Whilst its not super authentic to Indonesian cuisine, its the closest Ive tried in Montreal. The rendang is fantastic and the satays are a classic. I recommend asking the staff to see what kind of drinks youd prefer with the plates you end up sharing with your party.

Recommended to make an RSVP if youre going for dinner. Tapas style dinner - taste, presentation, and portions were excellent. Their Pandan creme brulee is a must-try (even if youre feeling full). Went to eat there after spending the whole day at Pop up market. This place was amazing! The flavours of each dish were incredible. My partner isnt a big foodie but he really liked the meals we got. Glad I finally got to try this place! The staff was super nice and friendly too :)
