Dagwoods La Sandwicherie in Montreal

Extremely disappointed with the Dagwood (5041, rue Sherbrooke Ouest) A disastrous experience from start to finish. The service was poor: the employee spoke neither French nor English, making communication frustrating. The food was inadequate: a questionable tasting sandwich, half-cooked potatoes, and worse, my girlfriend and I suffered from severe stomach aches and diarrhea after the meal. Added to this is the impossibility of registering my loyalty points. Not to mention the brown paper provided as a napkin and the white pizzeria paper plates without packaging. Spending $40 to get sick is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and I absolutely do not recommend this place.

50 Bucks for 2 sandwiches! Ridiculous! Plus the upgrade your trio is a scam!

The employees are not professional at all. When the pickle fell on the ground, he picked it up and put it back into the sandwich. They make you wait too long

They shut and locked the door on me and my friend 50 min before they closed. Very unprofessional.

I brought my grandson (who is a Subway fan) to taste those famous sandwiches and to know the difference, he said I was right that it was better than Subway. We had very fast service with a big smile, the restaurant is clean and tidy. . As usual, I had a great time licking my fingers, its up to you to try, Bon appetit Angela

I ordered platters for 10 people of sandwiches, macaroni and brownies and cookies. The sandwiches were horrible most of them only had one piece of meat and a few you only have lettuce and tomatoes. I ordered meat. Macaroni salad was completely tasteless. The brownies and cookies were the only good thing. I will never order from Dagwoods ever again. Plus it was rather expensive only to be disappointed.

Hate giving reviews like this but when you are suppose to close at 8pm, why are employees refusing clients at 7:40pm? Door was already locked and they were mopping which means they were closed even before that. Busy or not, as a business owner I would be concerned. Two similar reviews in the last two months. Who can say how many more customers and sales were refused. Ouf.

Its a sandwich place that does sandwiches and they do it well. Its fast, the employees are nice and you dont have to refinance your house for a sub. What more do you want?

Cant understand how this restaurant be in business since 1989. First time we tried yesterday. Sandwich barely had meat in it. Are you cutting back because times are tough during Covid 19? Very disappointing. We should have gone to A & W a few feet away.

Mediocre sub sandwich. Not horrible, but okay I guess.

For the most part this location makes decent sandwiches( definitely has declined in quality over the past few years) consistency is key and once that goes out the window you wont catch me back at a place. What I really dont get is how the heck are you charging people for a sauce on the side, condiments should NOT be charged especially since its part of the sandwich!! if I dont want to eat the sandwich right away to eat later I dont want it soggy so I take the dag sauce on the side... stop charing 75cents for this, super distasteful.

Only the second time Ive had Dagwoods in many years, I wasnt impressed years ago so never went back. This time the sandwichs were ok and service friendly. But its just not on par with its competitor. Id have it again in a pinch, but its not my fave

I ve been gowing to dagwoods for years and did not like the last two times I went to the one on Sherbrooke west they where so cheap with the meat it felt like a vegetable sandwich never gowing back I mean put some meat in there I m paying 15$ for a sandwich

If you advertise you close at 8:00, then you should close at 8:00 and not 7:30. Such a waste of time...

Items that appear on the menu aren t available but they don t advise you of this when you order. They just make a bigger sandwich for you, charge you more and ONLY when you remark that price is wrong do they inform you that what you ordered isn t available. They also advertise a trio upgrade but don t respect that either. They charge everything separate. The drink is separate, the chip is separate. Will NEVER go back to this location

I was coming to pick up a sandwich and two employees were cleaning up and had the door locked at 7:40 pm when they are supposed to close at 8 pm. This cleanup should happen at 8 pm when they are closed. I get some people want to leave early, but the restaurant should be open until 8 pm.

Fresh ingredients and bread, their Dagwoods sauce brings the whole thing together, and all for a good price. The big guy who made my sandwich was friendly and funny, and got my sandwich made fast while I enjoyed some sports highlights on their tv.

Ive been going to Dagwoods for most of my life and its still my favorite sandwich in town. I usually deal with the guy that closes, and he makes a great sandwich and is a joy to deal with (oh, and he does wear his mask above his nose, dont listen to the other reviewer!)

First of all one of the slowest restaurent i have ever seen. They dont care about their online customers. They didnt prepare your order on time so thats why i am giving them one star because of their poor service.

If subway was actually eat fresh it would be Dagwoods. Easily my favourite sandwich shop and the original sauce is delicious!

Dagwoods subs are always quite decent. What really put them over the top is the Dagwoods sauce! Also, their wheat bread is awesome and isnt as dry as you often associate with wheat breads. I would have given it five stars but the person making my sandwich was wearing his mask below his nose. Gross.

Dagwoods is 10 times better than Subway in terms of taste, especially with their Dagwoods sauce but its a little more expensive.

Great restaurant. I find the food tasty: the ingredients are fresh, and they have a good selection of snacks on the side, such as chips and cookies. The service is quite good. I ve always found the staff to be helpful and quick. I like the location a lot. The restaurant seems clean to me, and it s in a well-located part of Westmount.

amazing for last-minute carering; The staff and owner were efficient, (more so than at other locations) polite and decided to help me only two hours before my event! Not only did they get me out of a jam, but the catering was a hit and dagwoods is my go-to place for catering now.

Definitely better than Subways, more recently it seems they were more willing to go head to head against their competitors. The quality is far better and pricing is still similar, perhaps a little higher but still worth the price. Their sandwich sauce is addictive. If youre hungry in a bit of a hurry and there is a Dagwoods near your not going to be disappointed. Clean locations.

Favorite sandwich shop in town. Dagwoods sauce is the best. Bread is baked fresh every day. Although Google shows this location closes at 11pm, it truly closes at 10pm every day

I ordered sandwiches, veggie platters and salads for a corporate lunch. The staff was extremely helpful and corrected an error on my order right away. The order was delivered exactly on time and all the food was fresh and well presented on the platters.

I mean the food is pretty standard compared to any other location but the staff that works there really makes a difference in service enjoyability

worst ever daggwood. the sandwich was fild up with veggies and souce the meat you cant even see it so thin and just one leyers for each, my first and last time to this dag.

When I go in person, Im always happy with my purchase. Do not order through uber, tor any delivery service (In my opinion), they always leave something out of the order... I mean always. Last time, they forgot the meat in my sandwich, how does that even happen? Every time I call back to complain, its always the same excuse (literally always the same excuse), Oh the person who handled the order isnt here right now, so... Youll always end up with the short end of the stick. My advice, if you like Dagwoods which I do, only get it when youre in the area and you can go in person, otherwise look for something else.

My sandwich was delicious, but not a fan of the T.V. inside.

If you are a DagZone frequent customer, and you scan your points card, always check to see if the scan actually registered. I have found it registers only about half the time. I often have to mention the scan didnt work only to be told it happens very often by the employee. It often takes 2-3 tries to achieve a successful scan.

We were hungry and in a hurry, and my husband is not too particular. I would not eat here again. The sandwiches were fine, but the place was dirty. Dirt on the floor, bathroom looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in a while. I noticed most people who came in got take-out, maybe there was a reason for that.

i was shopping in the area, and i was not sure where to eat. so i decided to stop at this restaurant and give it a try. I fell in love with the sandwiches ! very tasty and fresh meat. i recommend This place for anyone who wants to eat healthy and make sure their stomach is FULL on a big day. Nice staff and felt a good atmosphere. would suggest anyone around to give it a try !
