Fried rice was very dry and when I ask in the lady, she told me that it was made in the morning and she just need to reheat it and serve to customers. It looks like was made two days before.
Pretty lucky to have this place in a hospital - I had lunch and dinner here. Excellent Poke bowl energised me after many long hours in the Emergency, then had buns and Papaya salad for dinner. In times of trouble, Satay Bros comes through with comfort foods. Staff are good people who work in a difficult environment. Thanks for being there.
Disappointing on every level. Banh mi was half the size expected for the price and the meat was not tender. Pork egg rolls were not wrapped with rice paper but battered like a corn dog ? Not enjoyable.
Used to eat here frequently before. Found hair in the soup today. Won’t order anymore.
I got the poké bowl and vegan dessert, and my partner got the laksa soup and bahn-mi sandwich. Everything was delicious, fresh, and so well made!! Such comforting food and service while staying in the hospital with family, thank you. 💜
I am an ardent fan of Satay Brothers, hence since I was at the hospital, I thought of getting my favorite papaya salad I’ve been craving for a few days. Although the person serving had no expressions or excitement in service the clients, he gave my food in a proper amount of time. Upon seeing the portions, I was absolutely disappointed since I’ve had this salad almost 30-40times already and this isn’t the portion I pay 9.75$ for. As you can see in the picture, it’s filled with lettuce where in the original Satay Brothers (Notre-Dame) has very little to none. I guess they have to follow hospital standards or they were out of papaya so they loaded it with lettuce. 2 star for the service, otherwise I would’ve given 1.
High end street food at the Hospital is a luxury. Food is excellent and being that the main restaurant is so fun and incredibly good, having the cantine at the hospital was amazing. The owner is also willing to make any plate vegetarian which is a huge bonus!
Who would had thought you could have such great food in a hospital food court? Amazing curries!!!
Best banh mi Ive ever had in my life. Im going to the hospital just to buy some!!!!
Got 2 porc bun vapeur for 17$ lord send me my money back please. The portion is teensy
It looks very good in the photos, but I ordered a bowl of rice, the rice was soaking in ginger sauce and it was poor quality rice too. Damage. Ill give it another chance, the menu is interesting and its great that there is this restaurant, but they need to be more careful to get the basic dishes right. Maybe there are too many things on the menu? They should focus on less, but better? Parking: MUHC parking
Nice people, good food and reasonable prices. =3
I was visiting my sister and decided to surprise her with food and was excited to try this out only to be disappointed in their overly saturated sesame oil salty wonton soup and very dry pork rice combo ..
Dont buy poke bowl
Not at all the green curry I was hoping for. The chicken was inedible
I was disappointed with their Poke Bowl. In fact, apart from the high price, it was nothing like a Poke Bowl... Just rice, salad and a few pieces of salmon... I had already taken another dish that was not particularly exceptional, but this time it was even worse... It was probably my last attempt!
I had a laksa soup... Ive never had anything so bland... its just salty... the smell seemed to announce a good curry coconut milk soup, but the taste... with my eyes closed I didnt would not have been able to identify. My friend must have also tasted the soup with the same observation because I wondered if I had suddenly lost my sense of smell. Impossible to finish soup, it s scandalous for over $16 (Also the portions are ridiculously small)
Food was extremely salty, terrible cashier
Good wonton soup, lots of flavor... Just theres not a lot of meat in it. Good service
Delicious authentic healthy fresh food!
delicious! i just wish it was a bit less salty. the tapioca mango desert is really good too
Super customer service
Man, this place almost makes me look forward to going to the hospital. Its on a different level. Thanks for the friendly, very human service and foodie level meals.
Food is excellent. Having the restaurant at the hospital is amazing. The owner is also willing to make any plate vegetarian which is a huge bonus!
Great menu, Cheap prices, Amazing food, and killer service . All this at a hospital Only place I ll eat in the building.
Good food but way overpriced
Sooooo good!!!!
My god ! As a lab consultant I almost fainted when I saw the satay brother sign in the court that I have learned to loath for the bland food. This is truly a medical miracle. Satay at muhc ! There is no grilling at that counter but great Singaporian curries, the papaye salad and unique deserts.
Located in the MUHC hospital, we had to eat we didnt have time to go out and come back I had 2 other exams to take. In the photos, it doesnt look so bad, the name leads you to believe that they serve some Asian things but no, my dish is not edible, no taste, my husbands sandwich is not edible either, rolls reheated in the petit four and I think thats the only thing that goes with the name but they are not edible. Budget $28. Youre pretty ridiculous.
Ordered a sandwich that was advertised as New and Special. It was supposed have coleslaw, grilled chicken, peanut butter sauce and many other great sounding ingredients. Instead I got uncooked slices of cabbage inside cheap white bread with a smear of oily peanut butter and a little piece of chicken. The sandwich itself was no more than the size of my hand, and I paid ten dollars plus tax for it. Of course they take advantage of hospital patients that are stuck in the emergency all day and have nowhere else to eat.
Food is really good, it has a unique tasty.
Discovered this place a few years ago when our child was born at the Vic, I got all excited when I saw that they were the same operators as Satay Bros. That Curry Pork is to die for, every time were at the hospital I make sure to get there on an empty stomach, it is so good. Ive even stopped by the hospital just to pick it up for takeout.
The buns. Period. You HAVE to have the BBQ steamed buns. Theyre just THAT good. *drool*
Friendly staff, very tasty meals!
If you want to get away from bland hospital food or to say no to fast-food chain, here is THE place to get your delicious spicy lunch and dinner.
Second time I go on a Friday evening. I was the only person there. I like the food and I didnt have to wait like at other Satay Brothers establishment. Win-win.
I agree with the other posts. This is a jewel at the Glenn hospital. Have eaten here twice after appointments and it s absolutely delicious.
The food here is great and the service is usually ok but today they screwed up and made a poke bowl with no rice for someone. It wasn t for me but they asked if it was mine. I said no so they took it back. A few minutes later, after making my regular poke bowl they picked it up and handed it to me. They were busy, it was lunch after all, but dreadful customer service in this instance. My choice was to hold everyone up and complain and hope I got a better bowl or just walk off frustrated. Neither is very appealing. Not impressed with the service today.
I was so so thrilled to see this place here when I came to visit family who just had surgery. We were running late and starving, I was expecting to wolf down a cold sandwich or some crappy pizza before heading up to visit but instead I got to gobble down some delicious pork curry with a box of vitasoy followed by a perfectly not too sweet Pandan sponge cake. Thrilled, absolutely thrilled.
I just bought a soup and it is half the size as a few months ago:/
The food here is sooo delicious! Its so freah and beautifully seasoned. They have some vegan and vegetarian options as well!
I asked if the dish was spicy and the lady said no. After eating the food and mixing it, I can clearly see pieces of red peppers spices. The tempeh was spicy.... moments later my headaches became excruciatingly painful.
