INCOMPETENCE!! Very dangerous. Owner and chef do not know the basics of food handling. I had allergic reactions three times, despite the fact that they expressly assured me that the allergen was not in my order. People with allergies or celiacs: stay far away from this restaurant!

Sushi is ok. Service is not adequate. I would not go again because of their service (Not friendly). A customer pays not only to enjoy his or her food but also to receive a good service.

Delicious, lots of variety, service was impeccable.

Very fresh, bring your wine and a restaurant atmosphere that makes a big change from sushi to take away without it costing an arm and a leg.

Wonderful service whether you dine in, order take out, everything just great. Over the top quality food. One of my favorite places!

1st timer. Ordered a big sushi and tempura (shrimp and veggies) takeout. Got there to pick things up 15 minutes early. Oddly, my order was ready and sitting in paper bags. Extraordinarily generous portions of...cold shrimp tempura. The sushi was .... sad. This is just...not...real Japanese food. I did call to tell the manager and the response was simply, I am so sorry about that. I wont go back. Atrocious.

Force to pay the tips is not honest. Tonight we ate food in 5 Saisons Sushi. When we payed the bill the receptionist ( the owner) with very unprofessional and impolite behaviour and speaking forced us to pay the tips and I was really disappointed.

The food was excellent.

We live in NDG, and we have been at least 50 times (and more) to this place. I even remember when it opened. And every time the quality was perfect. They are generous, and the specialty sushi are amazing. Oh, and of course, this is a BYOW (or sake)!

I went there with my son and friends, The sushi all tasted the same the rice was very mushy, nothing spectacular, I ordered my son the chicken teriyaki he didn t even eat it because it was too salty, even after advising the staff that the whole food that wasn t eaten that it wasn t good they don t accommodate and expect you to pay for it anyways. My bill was $95 for myself and my son. I will never go back, it was the first and the last time and the same for my friends they will never go back.

Amazing discovery of a bring your own wine sushi place. The service is amazing. Attentive, kind and fast. We did celebrate a birthday there amd a complimentary warm and sweet birthday sushi were offered. The sashimi platter is super fresh and the portion is very generous. Great variety too! Worth every penny. Maybe a bit too much cucumber in my roll, but its really to each their own. I will definitely come back very soon - thank you.

We arrived at 5, asked if we had a reservation and we were the only customers in the place. Another couple came in at the tail end of our dinner. The service was slow. The tempura yams came out looking like empanadas and had a really thick batter. The sushi pizza was inedible. The sushi was cut very thick and took a very long time to be prepared. The maki rolls were, however, decent. Vegetarian options: Its a bring your own wine establishment.

We had a variety of different sushis and the price was very good. We were actually very surprised that it wasnt considerably more expensive. However, the sushi was not as good as some of the other places that we go to regularly (although they are more expensive). They also give very little soy sauce and we ran out well before we finished our sushi. For the price it is a good option but not one of the better sushi places Ive had.

PRICE A LITTLE HIGH. LOTS OF CHOICE. We went there a few times. Yesterday, at the end of the meal, the boss told us that last time the waitress knew how to cheat on the bill and that he had taken $30 from his pay. I told him it was illegal and it was his responsibility to take responsibility for the mistake. He introduced me to the waitress and asked me to give the money directly to her. There were 4 of us, the meal cost $190 (without wine, coffee & dessert). In total we tipped $60 (30+30).

When we tried to reserve a table by the window, we were told by the owner it s 1st come 1st serve and that they don t take reservations. We arrived at the restaurant early and saw the window table was available. We requested it and were told by the owner that it was reserved??? We reminded him of his own policy (1st come 1st serve) and he was extremely rude and denied us the table. We have been customers for many years and the way we were treated we will never go back.

Food was fresh and tasty. Servers were attentive. The chefs choice lacked creativity. Appetizers weren t worth the time and portions were small (5 Gyoza to the order )

Honestly the best sushi Ive ever had. Extremely fresh, tasty, and flavorful. I tried the Cote St Luc maki and the Honey as well. Absolutely remarkable!

Order salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki, got grilled salmon and chicken, but with no seasoning, with a side of steamed veggies. For that price I would have gotten better food at St Hubert... Sushi was ok.

My favourite sushi in Montreal. The sushi is really top notch here, both in quality and portions. They have a nice selection of sushi s that appeal to everyone s tastes. I have been going here for years and and rarely disappointed. As well bring a bring your own wine is a nice touch to keep the bill lower. I highly recommend this restaurant

Great sushi and fast service

Atmosphere is low-key, relaxed, and friendly, which I really loved. You can also bring your own drinks. The reason I took off 2 stars is that the sushi wasnt so great (maki and futomaki were too large; sashimi didnt melt and lacked flavour) and it seemed a bit over-priced. That said, we took our leftovers home, and we really enjoyed eating them as a late-night snack! I would recommend for a chill night out, but if you are looking for top-notch sushi, this isnt the spot.

Ive been here many times and Im always impressed. They have a wide selection of interesting and creative rolls- I love the Rocky and Lets Dance. The food is FRESH (unlike some of the places downtown) and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Tonight I thought about going somewhere new for a change, but I knew for sure I would have a good experience at 5 Saisons so I went back and was not disappointed. Its great for groups too. BYOW!

I went to this place with coworkers not knowing what to expect as I do not eat sushi. I ordered thr beef teriyaki medium. I have to say that this is the first resto in a while where everything tasted quality. From the Miso to the teriyaki. You can taste that the food is made with love (I know its cheesy). Also nice environment. The waiter was also really kind I believe its the owner. 5 stars.

Fresh, delicious and friendly service. There are some reviews complaining about too much rice in the sushi and bad service, but neither of these have been true in my experience.

Excellent quality, nice variety, friendly service. This is one of my go-to sushi restaurants. We recently tried their delivery service in order to support local businesses during the pandemic, and were pleased to find the same great quality with efficient service. Chefs special deal was added on to our order, even though we forgot to ask about it.

Excellent sushi restaurant in Montreal. We have always had fresh fish and honestly its one of the best sushi in town! The owners are always welcoming and the service is great. Weve also ordered out during the pandemic and the quality is still excellent.

Second time going was not so hot. Tempura was a bit under cooked, wasnt crispy and sushi rice was over done, kinda mushy in the roll. This place would be great value but that night some of the basics were missed. Hope they fix it!

We were there on a Tuesday night and it was busy_ a good sign. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was excellent with generous serves. The salmon dish was superb and the sushi share plate is recommended.

Lots of great buzz about this place over the years. They have great choices on the menu, we found some unique dishes like spicy tuna cracker. We enjoyed the softshell crab and the ngd roll. Make sure you bring a nice bottle of sake.

Decent BYOB sushi spot -- rolls show a lot of creativity, and youll find combos you likely havent seen elsewhere.

If youre looking for a Japanese bring your own wine then this is a perfect place. The food is fresh and delicious. Theres lots of choice on the menu. The ambience is nice and casual, the service is quick and attentive. Their sushi platters are a nice option to order. Parking is generally easy.

Would have been 4 stars if it werent for the rude server (Louis?). We were greeted immediately upon arrival and were shown to a nice bench table despite not having reservations. Long story short; the food was good (Te Quiero always makes me happy) but the service was upsetting. One of their newer servers was incredibly rude. After he took the order sheet from the table right next to us, I was prepared to hand him our order (you order on sheets provided) too, he turned and rudely dismissed me. It was so blatantly disrespectful that the lady next to me who just handed in her order made some sounds and remarks about the servers behaviour, she was quite appalled by him. She even brought it up with another server while being served their wine, that perhaps his colleaugue cold use a glass. The offensive server then proceeded to unprofessionally serve us our dishes. My husband then got his turn. After a long week of hospital visits and stressful work, the last thing we needed was unwarranted rudeness. At the end of the day, it doesnt matter how good the food is, if you leave your clients feeling like garbage they will find another place where they are made to feel appreciated. We can find good food in many other restaurants in Montreal and we will make the effort to find another place to spend our time and money.

Mediocre

My experience here was very disappointing, to say the least. We came on a Monday evening when the restaurant was not busy. The server was rude and insisted that he would be back to take our order, which was on paper. When the food finally arrived, half of the rolls we had ordered were extremely bland (they were 90% rice), including one of their specialty rolls that contained spicy crab. We wanted to address this issue with our server, however we never had the chance to as he did not come to our table once to fill water or to ask how the food was. Our table was also not cleared and we waited 40 minutes for the bill. He came only after we had asked the manager if we could pay. When we told him that we were dissatisfied with some of the rolls, he answered I honestly cant tell if youre joking or not. He then sent for the manager who proceeded to literally laugh in my face and then walk away when I told him that some of the rolls we ordered were not good. Im honestly just shocked that an establishment can be so inconsiderate of their customers. This is clearly a restaurant that cares more about profit than quality of food and service, and I would strongly recommend finding an alternative if you want to have a nice sushi dinner.

If you are looking for good sushi and service do NOT waste your time and money at this establishment. We waited for ages to get the servers attention to let him know that the food was not up to par and he simply laughed in our faces, and replying with a snarky comment. We requested to speak with the manager, who simply arrived with the bill stating, I do not care if you did not like the food. We have been here for 10 years, if you dont like it, dont eat here! Needless to say, we will not be back. Save yourself the time and grief and eat somewhere that deserves your business.
