Very good experience on site, the server was very pleasant and took the time to explain to us the composition of each dish. I was pleasantly surprised by the fake salmon which closely resembled a real salmon in terms of appearance and texture. Vegetarian options: All dishes offered are vegetarian Dietary restrictions: We were asked at the start of the meal if we had any allergies, so I imagine there must be solutions for people who have food intolerances or allergies.

This was truly delicious! All the sushis are incredible. Favorites were the fried avocado ones, the salmon ones and the Siam spring rolls in Mango/Peanut sauce. Their cocktails were also very cool and worth the price.

Amazing little gem of a restaurant. The wait staff were professional and fluently bilingual. The menu is not too long but not too short. We all had the taster option, and we were not disappointed. The Miso was good and the oyster amazing. Then, when the sushi arrived, it was an amazing presentation. Finally, the momococo desert was out of this world. Our table was half vegan and half omnivores, and we were all amazed and full. This was a celebratory dinner, but it was definitely a place we would go back to as just a couple. I will look forward to that next visit. Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan with gluten-free as an option as well. Wheelchair accessibility: It is not the best option. The restaurant is tight inside, and the entrance is restrictive, but it is possible if the person in the chair is not alone.

We had the Omasake, 4-course prix fix menu and it was absolutely amazing. You know when the food is that good because all you re doing at the table is talking about the food. This truly was the best sushi I have ever had, it is so flavorful, perfect texture. The vibe is cozy and all the servers and host are so warm and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This may be a regular stop when I come visit Montréal. Thank you everyone for such an amazing time.

I didn t have a reservation. I had the choice between a table or the bar. I chose a table but had to finish within half an hour. Because the table was reserved. Maybe I would have more time to enjoy my meal if I chose to sit at the bar They have a new kind of rolls that s filled with lettuce instead of rice. For a fresh and light meal. Love the Krispy Rice. The garnishing are piled high, don t know how to eat that without making a mess. :P There s a mocktail called Promenade en Provence. It s an infusion of mint-rosemary, melissa, lavender, pear, apple and lemon. Vegetarian options: Everything is plant-based. They also have gluten-free options.

I used to really enjoy ordering from there, but today s experience has made me rethink that. The gyozas were extremely dry, almost as if they had been cooked three days ago. They definitely didn t taste fresh. Also, the sushis selection in the Hitori menu was quite disappointing as none of the selections would blend in harmony with each others

Life changing sushi -- there is no other way to describe it. Ive had several vegan sushi places that were fantastic but none were as inventive, as delicious, and as well put together as this. Especially the Sakura, the broccoli just ties everythings together with the build and sauce. Beyond this, the staff was insanely professional and helpful describing each sushi to detail. My friend dropped a chopstick and a nearby server replaced it in less than 10 seconds. Even if you eat meat, I think youll have an unreal experience at this place. Highly highly, recommend! Absolutely amazing place. Most flavoursome sushis I ve ever had. Since I was with a group, I had the opportunity to try various types and all had amazingly distinct tastes. Very friendly service, plus the servers explain all the sushis and their various ingredients.

With the number of vegan sushi restaurants in town, I knew I had to try one of the top rated here at Sushi Momo and I was not disappointed. Rolls here range from $10 - $18 and vary in pieces (clearly marked on the menu). They also offer in-house sashimi if youre interested in their take on mock fish. The rolls here are some of the best, with only one being just okay while the rest were fire. Must-have: Melitzana and Sakura Rolls. The first one was the BEST with an eggplant flambée and the textures in the roll were simply perfection. Smoky, savory, and crunchy all in one go. I also loved their Sakura Roll where they used a lot of their take on fishes in a very classic, cold roll. We also had their Geisha Roll which was also nice but on the deep-fried end. It ended up being very heavy and we would have preferred to have chosen another of the earlier futomakis instead. Of course, cant end a meal without dessert, and their Poached Pear with Nuts was an excellent way to finish. If youre able to dine in, please do! The decor and feel are very chic and upscale without necessarily paying high end prices for fantastic food. Reservations are highly encouraged especially if you are coming on a busy weekend evening.

An outstanding experience, Momo defies expectations. The flavours and textures here are fantastic, authentic, and thoughtful. We had Krispi Sushi (avocado black garlic) which had divine mouth feel and subtle, delicious flavour. Also had the Delhi futomaki, which was a lovely hit of sweet and delicious Japanese curry flavour wrapped around several tasty sushi fillings and rice. Not a huge punch of sauce, rather a perfect balance of flavours. The waitresses were thoughtful, attentive, funny and relaxed, and knew their food! Presentation was great, and the ambience was intimate, comfortable and cozy. This place for this win, great work Momo!!

The food was ok, not that good enough but average. There is a plate with salamon slices, it was 40 grams plus some vegetables and sauce for 15$. The sushi was good, and the staff were nice. Non alcoholic Beverages are so terrible, just kind of arom added to iced water. My main complaint is about those chairs in the bar, for gods sake, who is the architect who decided to put kids garden chairs into a bar. Im 174 cm tall. i found it really annoying to sit. I was really pressed and blocked between the table and those fixed chairs! When asked the server if there was any place to sit, she told us there were no tables. In the end, when we finished our meal, she told her there was an available.

Best sushi Ive ever had

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by a friend in NJ so we tried it. We loved the food, the experience and the service. Everything we tried was delicious. The SOS was as spicy as promised. My 13 year old enjoyed everything she tried as well. Definitely recommend. I wouldn t miss it if you are vegetarian or vegan!

One of our party is coeliac, so choose this for its gluten free options. Half way thru the meal I realised it was vegan That aside, it was excellent. Staff were super good. Food was well balanced for tastes textures etc. If I had any beef (pun intended) it would be that there was to much food - but they gave us take out containers to take it with us

I recently dined at this fantastic vegan sushi restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the culinary delights on offer. The meal began with a comforting bowl of Miso Soup, rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned. The Soba Mango Salad was a refreshing blend of textures and flavors, combining the crispness of fresh vegetables with the sweetness of mango and the satisfying chew of soba noodles. The highlight of the meal was the Assorted Vegan Sushi, beautifully presented and delicious, showcasing an innovative approach to plant-based cuisine. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, making this restaurant a must-visit for any food lover.

I came in with high hopes which were only partially met by the food. I would advise against the omakase; in my experience, the chef s choice is of sushi that is not especially notable (think the avocado-cucumber-mango variety that is the typical vegetarian option in any sushi restaurant, save for the use of vegan cream cheese), and it feels like they choose their cheaper rolls for this (I noticed another table got the exact same rolls), making the price tag hard to justify. Definitely better to go à la carte; I was jealous of my friend s order of the Umami roll! The appetizers were also very good. The service and ambience were excellent.

Delicious, beautiful and creative vegan sushi. You will have to wait a while to get your food but it is worth it!!! Not all servers are knowledgeable about the saké so make sure to ask for the sommelier.

Visited the dine in location today with my wife May 2024 and it was amazing. We are here on a trip from Hamilton, ON. We are vegetarian and this was hands down the best vegetarian sushi we have both ever eaten. The only thing that comes close is Tenon in downtown Toronto which is amazing this this is at another level when it comes to creativity, flavours and presentation. Overall this was an expert display of textures. I thought that every dish was a delicate combination of crunch, soft along with mixtures of umami, sweet, salty and spicy. For appetizers we got the Japanese Arancini which was hot crunchy and loved the sauces. Next for Futomaki we got the Chou-Chou (top row with yellow coating). We loved the tempura cauliflower inside. The middle row coated in avocado was the big momo which was my favourite - highly recommend. The bottom row was the GYU maki tempura which was also amazing. On the left edge was the Aubergine Falmbée (flamed eggplant) crispy rice this one was amazing and the flammed eggplant created unique flavour that we never tasted before and was amazing. On the right edge was the avocat & ail noir (Avacado and Black garlic); my only comment would that this one tasted like a guacamole topping and perhaps next time I would try one of the other Cripsy rice Overall I thought it was amazing and was worth the price. I will be coming back here if I ever visit Montreal again and will be bringing friends and family here in the future. Service was great too considering we were English speakers. My only other comment would be that an English menu would be helpful as I kept having to enter the a picture onto Google translate. Vegetarian options: All vegan and plant based.

What a disappointment! I wanted to surprise a friend by ordering a large order from Sushi Momo last Thursday following her help with our move. I made it clear that we wanted the order for 8:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and not to ring the bell upon arrival because the children were asleep... What was my surprise when the delivery man (order made via your site directly and not uber eat) arrived at 8:15 p.m. while we were still sweating from filling the car and not ready to sit down at the table at all.. On top of that, it rings!!!! So that he sees us. And when I told him that I had asked for 8:45 p.m., he replied that s how it is! » nodding without even apologizing. I called the restaurant as soon as I could and they told me it wasnt their fault... Just sorry. I am told that they will give me the manager who ultimately is not there and is supposed to call me back the next day... I am still waiting for the call! Extremely disappointed. We ate cold for over $120 of an order. Please read delivery times and delivery information

Usually when you order an entree and only take one bite, followed by the request for the check, the server asks if there was anything wrong. Pilling on loads of ingredients into one roll was just a cacophony of opposing flavors. Salmon was overwhelmed by salty/sour/pickle? Im not even sure. No real expectations, but when youre paying that much for bite sized portions, there were some. Environment was unique and cozy, great date spot.

My friend and I ordered from sushi Momo last night, as there was a deal on Uber eats, and never having tried it before I was interested. I had no idea it was vegan until our order came. Let me tell you, this was the most delicious meal I ve had in a long time. I m a die hard sushi lover, but this meal had me rethinking my love for fish, as it what so delicious being completely vegan. The variety of rolls I got, the flavour combinations and quality left us speechless! The Miso soup was also fantastic. 110% recommend and will be returning.

Got lucky with a spot on the patio on a Friday night. Service was wonderful, staff were excited to present each item. Service was not quick but felt like a good pace to enjoy the different options. Everything was delicious, though many options feel like they are packing a lot of different flavours into a single roll. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this to anyone looking for good plant based options. I have only ordered through delivery apps from Sushi Momo, but I am so glad that I ended up visiting the restaurant. I am from out of town and spent hours catching up with a friend here. The staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome. The tasting menu was an amazing value and we left full and satisfied. Would definitely reccomend everyone to come and experience.

We didn t realize this was a vegan sushi spot and ended up loving the food we tried. So fresh and tasty. Silly me ended up forgetting my purse at the restaurant and Bianca gratuitously came in on a Monday, the day they re closed to give me my purse back. Best customer experience!!! We will be back.

First time that we unknowingly ended up at a vegan restaurant. We had a delicious meal and would definitely return. Partly due to the excellent service from Layna, who helped us at the bar. There was plenty of time between courses and the house gave us Edamame beans when it took a little longer. Definitely recommended to make a reservation at the bar.

This vegan sushi place is absolutely amazing! The flavours bursting from every bite makes you want to go back again and again. I personally like pani puri and soba mango salad in the starters. Sushi - Delhi, big momo, Sakura. They have a wonderful drinks menu and cocktails are fantastic!

Always incredible! I think I was surprised because, I might be wrong, but it seems like the menu got smaller since last time? But still as delicious as ever. My favorites are the truffle maki and was so pleased with the Big Momo and little Bombay one too! I don t recommend the omakase because the sushi rolls were very good but everything else was ok. So instead of paying 50$ for the set, I d get 50$ worth of sushi. The reason I didn t go with the rolls from the start was because I didn t know what was what (The lighting was very dim and the menu letters were worn out). I would have liked a menu explanation because it s not your typical sushi. The service was really slow it took forever to get our order. I forgot to take a picture of the dumplings because I was too hungry and there 24 pieces (they combined 2 orders). Overall impressed of the vegan sushi! Vegetarian options: All vegan

Nice place over all ,nice music in the back ground and not too loud that you can t have a conversation,the staff was nice and welcoming,they did loose our confirmation and could not find our names in the system yet we called to book but other than that this Vegan sushi is probably the most best I town ,it was delicious i totally recommend and definitely coming back .

Pretty, well-prepared plants we didnt know that the restaurant is vegetarian, we realized after ordering; I think the waitress should have told us. The service was quite slow but the restaurant was a nice place.

It was a great experience over all! The food was delicious! The service was quick. The server gave us a detailed explanation of each dish. It was a lovely date night with my partner.

Magnificent restaurant, small and welcoming, which revisits Japanese cuisine with a vegan twist. And you dont have to be vegan to find it just excellent, fine and comforting. There were 5 of us so we shared several tasting menus to try as many dishes as possible between us. Favorite for the delicious sushi, the mushroom shooter and the chocolate, miso, strawberry and matcha tart I also had a non-alcoholic cocktail with Provençal flavors which was very good. The decoration is neat and modern and the waiter was very nice. He took great care of my friend who was allergic to gluten, which was much appreciated. They even offered us edamame at the end of the evening so as not to waste it. I add this beautiful restaurant to my favorites for special occasions with lovers or friends.

Every time we went there the sushi was less and less good... Lack of freshness, flavor... the mushroom tartare starter was good until they changed the mushrooms for mushrooms cheap.... The quality of the products is getting worse and worse. Too bad... Will always be one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. Unique, bursting with flavour, so well balanced. I hesitate to even call this vegan sushi because as a non vegan myself theres alot of misconceptions and bias when people hear that. This is not supposed to taste or mimic sushi. Its its own creation and is genius. Deserving of a Michelin star for sure. 10/10

I relied on the good reviews, but I should have relied on the bad ones... Sushi that rolls in your mouth. Questionable flavor mix. Gelatinous textures. The concept is good and innovative, but what is ingested can be questionable. The only edible thing was the Arranchini starter. On the other hand, the service was A1. Very fast. Courteous staff. The atmosphere was chic. In short, its flashy, but the quality/tastes need to be reviewed. **Note that I had to rinse my mouth several times due to nausea...

A magnificent restaurant, small room with a very warm atmosphere. The food is excellent, the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life (even not being vegetarian). I have already been there at least 3 times and I am never disappointed with the service and the quality of the presentation and the food. Real explosions of flavors in the mouth! If you go through Montreal you absolutely have to try it!

Perfect sushi!

This is not my first visit to this restaurant. The sushi is still good, the presentation is perfect. That being said, last Saturday evening, we reserved our place as usual. The waiter, new for 3 weeks, asked us to leave twice because supposedly our table was reserved for other customers. But there was no one waiting. I shared a great dining experience with my 31 year old son and my 16 year old son. We were calm and frankly being shown the door in such a cavalier manner displeased me, especially since no one was waiting. The bill paid was more than $200, so this is how we treat customers at Momo?

The food is yummy and severs are fantastic.

For a girl with a seafood allergy, I really enjoyed my first safe sushi experience. The textures, the flavors, the surprises in the mouth... In addition, I would like to emphasize the quality of the cocktails. They are incredibly exquisite, its hard to narrow down to just one. Perfect place for a birthday, a romantic date or a catch-up party with friends! :) Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!!! There are a lot of nuts, you can ask to remove them if allergies.

Very good vegetarian Japanese restaurant. However the portions are really small and the meal is not cheap. I recommend the kitchen but not at this price.

Amazing experience! The food was delicious, fairly priced, and looked amazing. Service was wonderful, very helpful. Would recommend to anyone who wants good sushi. Update: the last few times the service was horrible. Waited 15 minutes for waters and watched as our server stood around and drank at the bar. Not a good experience but food is always good

The Best place for sushi

Incredible service from Ivan. Working in sushi myself, I asked quite a few questions due to it being my first plant based sushi experience. Every question he had the answer to, excellent service and recommendations. Will be coming back 100%. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Very good sushi, the miso soup is delicious. However, be careful, the take out is not in the same place as the restaurant. We werent paying attention and seeing as there is a note on the door, this must happen often :(

Where did Sushi Momo go? I was captivated by my first experience in 2019 but now, I dont understand how the score can still be so high. The starters and desserts remain OK but the sushi, A DISASTER. A mixture of everything and nothing with three tons of sauce on it, very salty, very fatty, very gelatinous, and you dont really know what youre eating. I had a stomach ache the next day... I dont recommend it.
