Huge poke bowl filled with tuna, super well prepared. Fresh meals at a very reasonable price. The owner was super nice. Plus I got a free French fries roll.

We ordered and the delivery was too long, almost 2 hours when we were too far away, the order arrived without Soya and Wasabi sauce, the sushi was not good, it was a disaster, dont go there and pay a lot and you will be on the hook.

Was visiting Montreal from Vancouver today and ordered the shrimp and crab poke and it was huge!! And delicious! The people who work there were also nice.

Really disappointed! I ordered 2 kinds of sushi, there was 4 times more cucumber versus salmon in the rainbow. And some of which have no smoked salmon on the outside! We are being made fun of I will never go to this restaurant again. Damage

The place was really good if you want to eat a non to expensive sushi. But if you want a recommendation, go for a poke bowl, they are really good

Sushi was so fresh

Not worth the price and The owner was extremely rude. Made us feel like we were asking for charity. For what you pay, there are many other sushi shops much better just walking distance from these guys. don t even deserve 1 star

The food was delicious Great value for your buck as well. It seemed to me mostly like a take out spot rather than a sit-down restaurant. Though there are tables available. The service and the ambiance could be improved. But I will be back there again, 100%.

I have visited several times since the opening, it was really excellent restaurants, good quality and price. Since this restaurant has changed the owner, I have been a few times each time I am really very disappointed, sashimi cut so thin and not normal standard and the other dishes are all changed, the taste was not the same. .... deserves the worst sushi I have ever eaten...

In the top of the worst sushi you can eat in your life. Honestly, its shameful to serve this to your customers. Very little fish and you mix with lots of tempura and lettuce or other ingredients to use less salmon. Salmon tartare sushi is more like tempura sushi. I have never tasted such crispy salmon tartare sushi. The rice is poorly cooked. Looks like theyre adding more water. I hope you are aware that there are sushi restaurants that offer much better quality sushi with nice big slices and pieces of salmon for the same price. Including the Osaka sushi restaurant in Laval which is well worth the trip. Dont even dare to say a retort to me if you dont take steps to offer better food to your customers. I also feel sorry for the customers who believe this is good sushi and should explore elsewhere.

Small family-run sushi and poke bowl restaurant. The girl taking care of the orders is very friendly, smiling and courteous! I got the salmon poke bowl to go, so I didnt stay in the restaurant very long, but it was obviously very peaceful, just a few tables. Probably a lot of orders are for takeout or delivery. It was reasonable prices for a good quantity (on photo: $16+tx) I strangely had an imperial roll in my poke, it wasnt on the menu, probably a surprise freebie of the day Otherwise, the ingredients were good: salmon, avocado, marinated yellow daikon, mixed salad, sushi rice... I would just say that there was too much sauce/too much sugar in the rice, probably more popular in the area than for people looking for a subtle taste.

Owner was very kind and fun to talk to. Sushi was good and service was amazing. Smoked salmon was delicious. Recommended

Perhaps in am a bit spoiled with Vancouver sushi. This place does a decent dine in sushi for montreal standards (this city is littered with rubbish all you can eat sushi). Unfortunately I did a. Take out deal on uber eats two for one as I wanted to eat outside at the park. They advertised two for one but it was all rice with not even one portion of salmon. Let alone two for one. If you at all appreciate mediocre sushi montreal is terrible for it. Recommend you dine in and avoid their scam uber eats offers. Whoever owns this junk chain needs Seppuku or hari kari

I usually order from sushi sama but I have never been to eat there on site. Arrived there, at the foot of the Beaudry metro station, the owner sees us enter, stoic. I wave to him and ask if he has room for two. He says yes, come and order at the counter and go sit down. We order, we sit down. Few people in the restaurant. Wasps fly around us, attracted by the sugar in sauces. There is no atmosphere, no music, nothing. The food arrives. The subs are good, like regular sushi. They bring us glasses of water maybe 5 minutes after the start of the meal. We came, we ate, we left. Was the on-site experience up to par? Not really. Would I come back? Remotely yes by ordering but I doubt staying there.

There is a rude managers who is responsible for orders here that he keep reducing the soy sauce . Ordered 4 items, he used to send 4 then it became 3 then it became 2. Never seen such a cheap attitude and he care nothing about repetitive customer who I have been ordering for very long time from his store. so don t order he said. He is ok. Please don t order from here. Let him learn a lesson in hospitality... stay away

Compared to sushi sama in Sherbrooke, the menu is exactly the same but the sushi is really not as good.. disappointing

Much cheaper when you order directly from their website (compared to delivery apps), fast delivery, tasty and well packaged, you can pay online with a credit card to minimize contacts. And I got a gift item! It was similar to what I ordered and I loved it.

Aaaaaw thank you for replacing the soy sauce in my order <3 I became allergic to soy only recently and this small attention makes my lonely pandemic new year better :) you guys are awesome! Sushi are delicious and delivery on time!

The one on Beaubien is much better. I sometimes call them and beg them to deliver to me over these guys. Try walking into this Sushi Sama on a hot day in the summer (no AC, hot AF), then imagine closing your eyes and taking a bite of sushi. Something doesn t sit right.

A little get-together between friends for 4. Everyone loved the dishes. We ate there and it was quick and excellent. I highly recommend the poké bowls which are a taste and visual treat too!

Fresh, and tasty, reasonable sushi prices too with this inflation. Ex a hosomaki is still properly priced. They also add a cucumber roll if you take/spend a certain amount, and they deliver too!

Yum the best sushi!!!

The sushi is delicious and the operator is super nice! I was really confused when I ordered and had to call back twice to adjust my order . She was super nice and patient and even gave us a free sushi (we ordered at the end of the evening).

I was a loyal customer of the Beaubien branch (minimum 1x week) and I loved their service and quality. I have some dietary restrictions and they respected them with every order. On the other hand, I cant say the same about the Ste-Catherine branch, I moved nearby so I have to order there now. Unfortunately, after 5 times, I was extremely disappointed and stopped ordering. The sushi is not super fresh, is full of tempura and almost no fish, Or does not respect my order and still puts the food that I asked not to put.

I used to buy here.. and I reaaaally loved it until I went there, ordered and I found a hair in one of my sushi, I was about to die, first time that this happened to me with Sushi Sama, Im completely disappointed

Here is my 2nd order from Sushi Sama Monkland 2 orders to encourage local restaurants and 2 x 2:00 hours of waiting to receive the order...Still incredible Suggestion- if you have a minimum of 2 hours to spare- order Sushi Sama Monkland... sushi, once it arrives- ok

Great employee, he corrected an order error 10 minutes before closing and we delivered despite the lack of employment for delivery due to the late hour. We even add a surprise to our order and in words. He saved Valentines Day for two very tired new parents . The quality was superior and our dinner was excellent. Thank you to the team for your great work!

The best in town

Ordered 36 piece platter. 80% of the platter had pollock/vegetable. Absolutely nothing original. Buffet quality. Not bad, but you might as well opt for fast sushi for a lower price and equal quality.

Honestly one of the best places (if not THE best) for sushi in Montreal at this price!

I ordered the heritage sushi and the tuna and strawberry were missing. In addition, the sushi was placed very poorly in the packaging, as if they had thrown the sushi into the dish. Very disappointing for the price especially when they forget half the ingredients of a sushi... Branch on Sainte-Catherine. I havent tested the other one.

Being a fan of sama sushi on Beaubien, I tried this one, clearly not at all the same quality. My order was not fresh, the rice was hard, extremely disappointing for a restaurant with the same name as the one I idolize.

Its very fresh and high quality. I have ordered it several times at this restaurant. They have improved their appearance and they are getting better and better. The good sushi restaurant is in Montreal.

There was a LIVE larva/bug with antennas in our sushi! My friend had it in her mouth and took it out thinking it was a seed and the bug was moving on the plate! Its the most repulsing experience. I threw out $70 worth of sushi in the trash.

Hello, I order almost every day I am a big consumer of sushi sama especially those from the south shore I have ordered several times from this sushi sama but each time it is not fresh, the pieces open My last order of spicy shrimp futomaki was really not good, almost no shrimp, filled with mushy tempura and mayonnaise, the avocados in the hosomaki were hard, too bad, I threw it all away sama sushi from the south shore is better

DO NOT place an Uber or Doordash order with this restaurant! I waited 2 hours and a half before cancelling my order! They are either highly understaffed or have no notion of time and customer service! Never again!

I just ordered from them. Horrible, the worst franchise in Montreal. I eat sushi sama all the time, it was really not good. The salmon tartar had no salmon just crispy look at the photo and the dragon eye was cold and not crispy. I dont recommend this place.

A real disappointment, I usually order from the one in Rosemont which is excellent but there, nothing to see, very disappointed. 2 hours of waiting for delivery, miso soup that had no taste, water, a shame to sell this.... A salad ordered but no Asian vinaigrette and finally poor quality sushi, really disappointed even though I love the one in Rosemont (but they dont deliver to my new address), in short, to avoid!

I didnt really like the wait for a poké bowl for 30 minutes, plus my plate was already ready and the person who served me passed everyone before me (those who wanted to order) instead to give me my order and on top of that it didnt taste very good honestly... I recommend going elsewhere. In addition he had a fresh fish on the ground and the blanket that we put on him was on the ground (with all the salt) and we just put it back on top of the fish, I also wonder about cleanliness

This is more of an indictment of this location than anything. The one in st henri was my first experience and it absolutely blew my mind. I was at work and decided to order from this location. NEVER AGAIN!!! Presentation was absolutely horrible. Taste was completely sub par. If i wasnt working i would have gone to get my money back as soon as i saw the food. It was absolutely the worst sushi that i ever had. To cap it off, they wither gave me someone elses order or messed up my order. What a waste.

If I could rate it 0 star I would. We got the wrong order delivered and paid, then has to argue to receive the right one. It s been 3 hours, and the second delivery is still wrong, and I received less sushis than what I paid for. Unacceptable.

In all honestly, this is the best poke bowl Ive ever had. The portion size is great with generous amounts of protein and a great combinations of salad with various fruits and vegetables. Yes they mixed up our order slightly but not that it makes much of a difference its all so good. Will be coming back.

I loved your sushi and poke bowl so much when you opened, unfortunately the quality and freshness are no longer there. Pink ginger, crate of avocados on the floor, cleanliness to be reviewed, express fridge which serves as storage for the kitchen... in short perhaps before opening several branches you should tighten up your quality criteria

The sushi is delicious. The waitress was super pleasant. We paid almost $100 for sushi and were given a free portion. :) It was only in the evening, once at home, that we realized that we had added extra sushi to our order and bill >.< I realized because we had eaten a lot there and returned home, we couldnt see the end, so I looked at the bill and boom. But its worth the trip, just be careful with your orders!

Over all dine-in experience is not bad. Sushi is slightly overpriced in my opinion for what you get but it tastes good, fresh and quickly prepared. The only weird thing is the order you receive your order. Usually you get tea, miso and appetizer, then sushi. In my case I got sushi and then miso then appetizer. I dont know if tea was extra but I didnt get any, along with no water for dine in. Salad was okay, miso was alright. I may have high standards due to being from BC though. Staff are really nice and generally approachable. Cleanliness of the restaurant itself I would give a 7/10. The tables are nice and clean but the floor is pretty gross. Additionally, table I was at I didnt have any napkins. Overall okay experience. I dont think it was bad or particularly good, just average and slightly overpriced.

I am a big fan of Sushi sama I order on several different locations and I would say this is the worst location to order. It happens to me not once but twice for having a missing items and once for my friend when I place the order on Uber. They wont do anything to resolve the situation, no refund or credit. All they said is to contact Uber. I still got charged for extra items. They should also do something about their customer service on this location because the person on the phone was very bad. I often order at Sushi Sama but I can tell you that this location should be avoided at all costs! I placed my order on Uber and order errors happened to me not once but twice and the same for my friend. I was charged without trying to resolve the problem and blaming it on Uber. I have not received a refund or credit back. Also, the person on the phone was very stupid. If you are in the area, absolutely avoid this place or change location If you want Sushi-Sama

Il y a un comptoir de sushis prêt à apporter. certains clients préfèrent commander et apporter. Le restaurant fait également de la livraison. Le personnel est très souriant et gentil. Leau en bouteille est gratuite lors dun repas sur place.

The sushi is perfectly done, the ratio of fish to rice, the rice cooking, the freshness of ingredients, all on spot. The price extremely reasonable & much better than places w fancy named sushi that taste like rice with additions. Delivery system is efficient, packing is efficient. I just love the place. Im glad I discovered it since the pandemic started & ordered I think so far once monthly

Id say slightly above average for sushi at this price point. Everything was good and service was fast. Nothing really stood out as especially delicious but there was no disappointment either. Not a fancy or unique place but good quality, fair prices and quick service.

Great food and staff, and on this second occasion I got bento box A with miso soup, the eel with rice was wonderful as was the rest of the meal.

This Sushi Sama establishment was a discovery for me. Ive been going there regularly since it opened last year. All plates are well prepared. Food is always fresh. The sushi is appetizing, the Poké bowls are succulent, the soups are bursting with flavor. The places exude cleanliness. The service is fast and courteous. The staff is attentive.

I am generally very satisfied with my orders at sushi sama on Ste Catherine. However, this evening, after eating dragon eyes and miso soup, I immediately threw it up. When I called them to inform them that something was not fresh in these products this evening, they told me that it took 24 hours to be digested so that it was not their products... In any case, my body immediately rejected what I had just eaten, and only that... I didnt find them attentive and concerned about checking their products following my phone... its a shame and I wont recommend it anymore at their home

We have been waiting for our order for two hours, impossible to call or speak to anyone. We ultimately never received our order and the restaurant indicates that it is open until 9:30 p.m.! Really not good service. Last time I order from you.

Had poke bowls a couple times from here and my last had 2 flies in it, one seemed like a fruit fly and the other was 2 or 3 times the size of a fruit fly. Will not be going back!

Already a fan of their excellent sushi for the evening, I had the great idea of going there one afternoon for a Poke.. Wow the tastes, the products, the textures, I liked everything! The staff is always very smiling and friendly! Truly officially my favorite sushi/poke restaurant in the Village!

Very good and affordable sushi. Plenty of vegetarian options. I highly recommend the tofu skin roll. We ordered it without really knowing what to expect and it ended up being our absolute favorite. We always search for a tofu skin roll at every sushi place we go to now but havent been able to find one that can compare.

Got violently sick after ordering from them.

Ordered a mixed box .Seems they do not make it fresh. Instead they pulled apart ready made refrigerated boxes and reassemled them into the special. The tempura in the rolls was not crisp . The nigiris was dry. Expected a bit better. Spend your money somewhere else .
