This restaurant is a little gem! The food is incredible and the service pleasant, I plan to return more than once

The fresh-baked focaccia, polpettes, and pavé are to die for!

Hello, I stopped by the restaurant before leaving on my trip, because I really wanted to eat their dumplings again (they were excellent the last times I went there). I dont know if the cook is different, but the dumplings really werent what they were, lacked flavor, like everything else I ordered On top of that: there was an ant on one of my takeaway dishes, the waitress was rude (speaking in English behind the backs of French-speaking customers to her colleague, because we think they wont understand, dont doesnt happen...) and I waited an extremely long time, for quantities that in no way resemble what I know. Im disappointed

Ive been going to this establishment for almost six years and what more can I say than wow! The constant research of products, the wine list, the employees and what about the new decor! Well done, well done, well done!

Such an awesome place! The food was beautiful and yummy!

Pricing is obnoxious. I understand running a restaurant is not easy but if you price your dishes high compared to the quality and portion sizes, it would be difficult to sustain. Rents and overheads are high in the food business (agreed) but $23 for a mediocre risotto and $16 calamari [oyster mushrooms] plus drinks and tips and taxes and still l was hungry. Service was good and ambiance was average, nothing exceptional. Dumplings are really good but the mains were the biggest disappointment. The Pave dish was extremely disappointing too. Ps : l visited the restaurant 4 times. The first 2 times, l refrained from posting a review (being a vegan, try my best not to write a 1 star review for a vegan business). The last 2 times, l updated it based on my dining experience and hence it posted 2 times the same review. It wasnt a new review but the old one being updated.

Among the very best restaurants in Montreal. Everything on the menu is amazing, but try the cauliflower!

Great experience! The dishes are not only delicious, but the flavors are also super innovative! We feel that everything is prepared with care, and its a change from the usual options. I recommend without hesitation for anyone who wants to discover different tastes, whether you are vegan or not!

Sunday October 20, 2024, me, my wife, our vegetarian daughter and my mother went to this nice little restaurant located in the village in Montreal. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the 2 servers were very welcoming and warm. The dishes were all delicious, succulent. But I found my main dish to be a bit small. However, as it was very good and pleasant, it still deserves 5 stars! The only other downside is that the menu is rather small. So we have almost already covered it in one visit.

Came here to accommodate a Vegan friend of mine. The atmosphere is decently put together. Bit of a narrow format but not uncommon in Montreal. Service was fine. I went for the mushroom Waffles and my friend got the breakfast tacos. The presentation of the dishes was probably the best part. I respected that this was an experimental dish but honestly it just was not working. The flavors were not complimentary, the dish felt very forced. Not to say it wasnt appetizing at all but I just didnt find it impressive. What was more disappointing was the portion sizes. Very bad price to portion ratio here. Good thing we got the foccacia bread too, which was pretty good actually, otherwise I would have definitely left with some appetite still. I think this place just needs to refresh their menu and be a little less stingy with the portions.

Wow! We had such a great night at this restaurant! We are not vegans (far from it), the food was delicious, with great textures and flavors. The restaurant had a great vibe to it to it too! The staff was friendly and attentive and they had an amazing ambience and decor. (The music was on point!) I cant wait to return!

Three course service. Food was okay, loved the mushroom skewers and cheesecake. The other 3 meals that were shared were okay. Portions are small. The service was kind. The atmosphere was great!

Wow excellent restaurant. The Table Dote offering on Sunday/Monday is very attractive. $29 for appetizer, burger, and dessert. The burger was excellent tasty patty with great toppings, sauce, and spread. The fries were unbelievably crispy and hot. Good options for non-alcoholic beers too! Really enjoyed it. Would happily return.

The menu is interesting and original. The food ordered was delicious and the service excellent. However, I found the portions a little small for the price, especially the dumpings (only 6 for $17). The terrace is beautiful and pleasant. Vegetarian options: All dishes are vegan.

It was delicious food! The Sunday/Monday dinner deal is perfect and well priced. Unfortunately you need a smartphone to access the menu so I can t take my older family members here. Hope you will get real menus soon to fix this.

What an amazing find in Montreal! We did not know it was a vegan restaurant until we sat down and looked at the menu, but everything was absolutely amazing. The gazpacho was the best Ive ever tasted (including those in Spain and Portugal). The tacos were SO flavorful, but they were very small (they should have come with double the filling for the pricetag). But the real highlight was the cocktail menu. Do yourself a favor and order the Carrot. I was blown away by how good it was - not sweet, so flavorful, and very refreshing.

Super delicious, vegan food. Well-known ingredients are specially put together and processed. And the service is very friendly and you can sit comfortably outside and eat. Overall, one of the best (vegan) restaurants for me. Absolute recommendation.

Wow, wow, wow! This was our best meal in Montreal. The foccacia and the tacos are both show stoppers.

Food was excellent, first and foremost. I really enjoyed the flavor profiles of what I ordered. I had the soup of the day, the dumplings, and the handcrafted ginger cactus mocktail. The soup was so tasty, it was a cold soup; beet, cucumber, and tomato. So very nice on a warm afternoon. The service was excellent, they were a reservation type restaurant, but I walked in early, just after opening and was able to get a table. They were kind enough to speak English to me without hesitation and entertained my poor French speaking skills very politely.

An amazing vegan dining experience! The food was fantastic and the wine delectable. Loved all the biodynamic and organic options, plus the server was knowledgeable and shared his knowledge with us freely. Would definitely recommend for great vegan food in Montreal.

We wanted to try this restaurant as a couple. When we arrived (after 1 p.m.) the restaurant was almost empty. We asked if it was possible to sit in a quiet corner. The waitress places us on a table (in the shape of a half circle?!) right next to the only large group in the restaurant. They were really very noisy, we asked to be a little more isolated, the waitress told us that there were no more places available Not very commercial, too bad

Maybe I did not order the most worth it plate but I was a bit dissapointed by the tartar. Lola Rosa vegan tartar is way more tasty than that one. And given that it the tartar was expensive, Im ready to give a second try at this restaurant but definitely not the tartar. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!

The soup of the day with focaccia was the direction I went and I was not disappointed. The chill music, green calming space, and houseplants made the indoor seating area a nice respite from the heat and sun outdoors (though there was outdoor seating). 10/10 will be back again.

Super disappointing experience. The food was alright but it was completely overshadowed by the customer service. They somehow lost my reservation even though I confirmed it over phone and text and proved it to them too. Was treated like we were an afterthought. They said they d be super busy and that we d have to sit outside. They managed to seat us inside after we insisted it had started raining. They said a table was reserved but no one ever showed up. Honestly it s affordable and interesting vegan food that was just ruined by the experience, super disappointing.

Excellent meal! We came to eat this evening with my sister and two friends and we were all won over by this 100% vegan meal (only one of us is vegetarian) carefully prepared by chef Kim. We drank lemon-infused iced tea. As a starter we had 2 tomato tartare, 1 taco and 1 King oyster mushroom. We were made to taste the dumplings which were just WOW! For main courses we tasted 2 risottos and 2 mille-feuille, then we shared the squash burger. Everything was really excellent And to finish the dessert: 3 chocolate mousse and 1 cake with olive oil and limoncello cream, enough to end in style! We were served by Nicholas who was super welcoming and who was able to advise us wonderfully. We will come back soon! The plus: 2 steps from the Beaudry metro, for us who dont have a vehicle its really great

Honestly, it s an EXCELLENT Vegan restaurant. I loved everything from A to Z. The service was a little long, but we were delighted with each dish so that made up for the wait. I really fell in love with the Focaccia, the Dumplings and the Risotto. That said, its a little expensive for the size of the portions. Overallll the fondness does not downgrade the Archway from its first place in my heart but follows it VERY closely. PS: great interior design

some of the worst food Ive ever had in my life and it was a terrible value proposition to boot. Ended up going somewhere else afterwards for a 2nd dinner. I got the brussel sprouts for just under $20 and I think there might have been 2.5 sprouts in the dish (served in quarters). The lentil hummus it came with was chalky. The dish is supposed to be served with walnuts, there mightve been half of a walnut on my plate, if im being generous. Edit: and you can see from the reply they think 2 Brussel sprouts and one walnut are worth $16. The so-called homemade hummus tasted like chalk and the 4 people I was with all agreed. Just because its homemade doesnt mean its good. This place is out of touch with reality. I ve been a client at Tendresse for a few years now, being a vegan myself. Unfortunately I don t think I ll be visiting for a while as I was disappointed the last two times I visited. The portions have gotten so small that I can no longer justify the price. Plus, I found that the service has been extremely slow, this is not necessarily the servers fault, as they seemed understaffed, but I m mentioning it because I ve noticed it twice now.

That was one amazing meal. The only regret we have after four days in Montreal is not eating at Tendresse more than once! Each dish was special in its own way. Dumplings were great, risotto outstanding, pave amazing, king oyster calamari yummy... Drinks were very well made, and desserts were out of this world. Hard finding enough superlatives for everything we had. Cannot wait to go back.

Unfortunatly I freeked out with all the junkies all around did not feel safe. Im sure the food is still great but when I called 911 about an possible overdose, the clerk did not even know where Métro Beaudry was and yelled at me. _________________________________________________________ SUBLIME experience. From the first call, front of house was very polite and accomodating. When I got there, my table was ready, with good cuteltry, glass ware, real tissu napkings and NOT a plastic chair on site! The menu had to be scanned...not great when you have an old tired phone and there was a small issue with pricing display. The all natural wines and private importation list was on paper. We could not decide which wine, so we where offerd a wine tasting. We all agreed on a bottle of white wine. We then did order 4 dishes to share between our group of 3. We started with the squids (shitake mushroom) and the braised cauliflower, then we had the tortillas and staked patatoes. For desert we had a chocolate cake with organic Madeira sweet wine. Exceptional!! The menu is vegan with a fusion focus. Had the fixed price three course option. From the outset, my pallette was on taste discovery journey unlike any Ive in recent memory. Delightful expedition. And, the service was so personable, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Excellent little vegan bistro where its nice to meet up with friends and share great culinary discoveries. We shared sourdough focaccia and eggplant puree, dumplings with peanut and coriander sauce, eggplant scallops, squid-style King oyster mushrooms and my favorite, charred Brussels sprouts on a bed of Lentil hummus with tahini and black garlic vinaigrette, sublime. The food is excellent and the setting very pleasant. I was able to reserve a table online very easily. I had the savory waffles for brunch. It was delicious but the portion too small to be called brunch. I had to have fries because I was still hungry and they were very good.

This place is one of my Montreal vegan favorites! Ive been here about five times - once for brunch - and I definitely plan on coming back. The dishes are creative and delightful. The sharing potential has let me try things I ended up liking more than what I thought Id like (BBQ corn ribs, pavé, brussel sprouts). The presentation is also great - I dont usually notice these things but here I did. The service has always been good, weve gotten some good recommendations for both wine and food. Highly recommend!

This is a total gem of a restaurant that more people need to know about. Vegan gastronomie is no small feat, but the team at Tandresse deliver on exceptionally creative menus time and time again. This restaurant was packed when I came a few weeks ago and I understand why. The food is delicious! I had the dumplings and my friend had the savoury waffle. The service was wonderful. Everything is vegan! The restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy, and its right next to Beaudry metro station. The portions are small and expensive. October 2023 | Sunday brunch The french toast was delicious. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. My latte was great, too. We were a group of 6, and there was plenty of room for us. The staff was nice enough to give us seats at the bar while a table for two freed up. The king oyster calamari, dumplings and financier cake were delicious. I didnt enjoy the unexpected mouthful of pungent mustard or the side of bitter chard served with the potato pavé.

A pretty disappointing experience. We booked for 3 people and they told us to sit at 2 separated tables and did not allow us to move to a bigger table because it was reserved. Quite ridiculous. The portions are tiny. The carrot tartare is served with toasted bread that is just dripping with oil and is not good at all. There are way better vegan restos out there.

We had the king oyster mushroom calamari, the brussel sprouts with hummus, and the yellow beet/celeriac risotto. Better than some Michelin starred restaurants I have ate at. The flavors and combinations were perfect. The mouth feel of the oyster mushrooms, slight firm and full of flavor, the charred brussel sprouts with the hummus, and the risotto perfectly balanced with the mushrooms. Incredible. Drinks (verde and carrot) were expertly made. Service was friendly and quick. And for the quality of the food, very inexpensive. The quality of the food and the plating were unexpected and excellent. Highly recommend.

Authentic vegan foods, everything was great. I will come back again and will make sure to reserve the seat a head of time for dinner next time.

I loved this vegan restaurant. Very practical when you are lactose intolerant. Everything was delicious from starter to dessert. Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. I recommend without hesitation.

I came here for the weekend brunch. The savory waffle was delicious, as was the tiramisu. My family enjoyed the Benedict as well. Great selection of artfully crafted cocktails. I loved the Verde cocktail - light, refreshing, and botanical. Nice, upscale yet cozy ambiance. Friendly staff. Timely service. Reasonable prices (it came to 115$ after tax and tip for 3 people). Portions are a bit on the small side but still decently filling.

Delicious food and drinks! We went for the MTL à table menu, and everything was great. Approved by my non vegan friends. Also, plenty of gluten-free options. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, especially at night, but the restaurant itself has a great ambiance! Best restaurant in montreal, by far. Ive been there multiple times and have never been disappointed. Most often served by Rose and Andy i believe, they are super sweet and kind. Will 100% come back again and again. The food is amazing, Montréal à table was by far the best service and best food ive ever had in my life. The dumplings and foccacia are a must try. The portions are fairly small but with a whole service it s just perfect. The place is super cozy yet chic and fun. Best vegan restaurant ive ever been to. Truly fantastic food, service and wine. I have visited on a few occasions now and have been impressed by every new dish I try. Everything is very flavorful, well balanced and thoughtfully presented. I really enjoy that there is an emphasis on seasonality and using every part of the vegtable. I recently visited with my partner (he and I are both chefs, myself vegan and him a carnivore) and my father who is a sommelier and a carnivore as well. It truly is the mark of a good vegan resturant when they can impress meat eaters. We received incredible service from Nicholas. His service was very friendly and attentive, and he Is an excellent sommelier. He offers excellent pairings and always has new and interesting wines to try. It is very rare that I see my father, a sommelier of 45 years, be so impressed by a resturants wine selection. He also provided wonderful mocktails and teas for me, as I am currently pregnant and not drinking alcohol. Nicholas wine selection is a large part of the reason my father insists on dining at Tendresse everytime he comes to Montréal to visit me. I will certainly continue to dine here and look forward to my next meal.
