Hospital staffers crowd this cash-only venue for supersized Vietnamese soups & grilled specialties.
Ordered stir fried beef and grilled chicken vermicelli bowls to enjoy. Service was friendly, quick, and enjoyed our meal on patio. Each bowl currently priced at $18 CDN when we dined there in September 2024. I would recommend this place to family and friends. Cash payment taken, no cards unless it’s debit.
The soup is delicious also the grill beef and pork we very well cook. The neighbourhood Côté des Neiges where is located is very trendy.
Had a chance to try their number 1 pho dac biet special and shrimp fresh rolls. Although the items had good flavour, I would say it’s good in general and a decent spot for a pho craving. Outside of that, would recommend only if your around the area. Service is awesome!
Best pho in town! We're visiting from Boston, and we'll truly miss this place for its authentic and incredibly delicious pho soup.
I’ve had Pho in many countries but no where can beat Pho Lien. The best Pho ever! The soup gives you perfect combination of gentle saltiness, sweetness from onion and bone marrow and herbal scents of spices. Highly recommend you to try, and this place only serves impressive and flavorful foods!
The best, most authentic pho outside of Vietnam! this is really an institution. the service is speedy, friendly and warm and the food is so so excellent. The broth is rich, deep and perfectly seasoned and full of flavour. The noodles are fresh and bouncy and the beef is excellent quality. Hands down the best pho I’ve had!
We came from Toronto, expecting great food. The PHO was good, but the BUN was a total disappointment. The rice noodle were clump together and cold. The shrimps were cold and tasted off. The spring rolls is indescribably bad. The customer service was terrible. The server ignored us And seemed more interested in wandering around aimlessly than serving customers. Will not return !!!
Been dining to this restaurant from time to time for many years when I have a craving for Vietnamese chicken soup or grilled beef lime with side dish of imperial rolls. Small restaurant with Jo reservation so you might have some lineups depending on time and day. Note that cash only is accepted but a ATM machine is inside for cash.
Pay cash only and have to pay fees for withdrawal from their mafia ATM. No thanks for me. Arrogance of the waiter above all else.
This pho restaurant is a must-go when you visit Montreal. From the freshness of the ingredients to the quality of the meat, the broth is excellent. Ive been to quite a few pho restaurants in the U.S., Korea, Europe, and Canada, but this one ranks among the top three. Additionally, tip is optional, so its great considering the price.
A good comforting soup
This place doesn t need another review but I felt compelled to share that the broth is out of this world aromatic. So good!!
Delicious
Best Pho !
Best Bun Bo Hue in city
Hands down best pho in MTL 10/10
Best pho in town !! Never dessapointes
The best pho in ndg
Good, but maybe no longer the best with the many competitors near and far. Food portion is not big, but prices are up.
Got a shrimp veggie soup that wasnt on the menu. Was super tasty and I believe healthy! Would definitely go back to try the others.
Small place always crowded. Interesting value for money for the pho, on the other hand for the grilled meats you can find better and cheaper elsewhere. Only take cash.
Wheelchair accessibility: No Food
Very good pho, the broth is exquisite
The soup is top 5 in mtl
Cash only, no credit card accepted. Food was good.
They have the best Pho in Town. Will be back. Food : 5/5
Amazing place, i feel like im in Shanghai
Closed on Tuesdays. They only accept cash payments and since thats my preferred method, it worked perfectly. Counter on site $. It is the only Pho restaurant in the area, with around forty tables, including a small terrace still open at the beginning of October 24. It was a pleasant surprise to discover them today. Their specialty is the traditional Tonkinese soup, which rivals in quality with another excellent soup Boul. St-Laurent near Chinatown (my other comments). Consumed well seasoned, good aroma of non-invasive species on the palate. Delicious with bean sprouts. Decent amounts of meat. Sizes: medium, large and extra large. The medium beef soup with tendons and tripe costs $15.22 and is enough to keep you satisfied. The pineapple chicken plate, also delicious for $15.66. Diligent and friendly service. So I have a new spot on my Phos list.
AVOID THIS PLACE. Hello, normally Im not one to leave things here but its worth noticing, we started with the two glasses of water and there was one that was yellowish... then we ordered two plates of soups, one of bloody beef and the other of chicken, which which we found a fly inside I showed it to a waiter and there was no reaction the only thing he responded was (fly oh ok ok fly) and he left the plate for me to continue eating I showed it to another and he told me if I saw it. I mean, apart from that, he billed me for everything even if I left him the soup the moment he found the fly.... thats really disgusting. From that moment on my father wouldnt stop going to the bathroom.
Be aware, they don t accept card! Otherwise, great food and price! 10/10 (:
Great food, popular and quick! Dietary restrictions: Great for lactose intolerant people. Food : 5/5 |
I was so happy to see that you guys were open on thanksgiving! Ordered tonight and I dont know what happened but I paid for two XL pho tai gau and it just wasnt like usual. Less noodles and meat, less bean sprouts (which had browned some already), it was greasier than usual too and the broth wasnt as flavourful... Not impressed at all, and I hope it was just an off day today because this is my favourite pho restaurants.
One of the best places of your want authentic Vietnamese food in Montreal! :) Cash only, and the prices on the menu are exactly the price you pay.
The food came out really quickly and the broth was pretty good!!! The broth had depth flavors with generous toppings.
Good pho!
Excellent photo!!!! Cash only (ATM on site).
Excellent Tonkinese soup. Quite rubbery meatballs. Good broth. Do not take cards in 2024 and do not submit any invoices
Excellent soup
I ve loved this restaurant for years. The food is great and the service used to be amazing. Recently though the wait staff have been disappointing. Rude, short with customers and no water refills.
Classic and delicious as always.
The best pho in mtl. Even though Im mostly vegan, I often make the exception at this restaurant and get the rare beef and extra veggies when just veggies wont cut it on those days. These are the rare times (pun unintended) i eat red meat. Just dont try to show up on a tuesday because theyre closed
Food is amazing, service is great, price similar to other pho;) great.
Very good Phò and papaya salad. Fast and courteous service. Truly perfect!
Fantasic Pho, made in a traditional style. I love the triple, tendon and rare beef combo soup. Easily the best Pho in Montreal. (I had Pho in Toronto on Yonge street that was equally as good, but this is a rare find). Food : 5/5
Never EVER never EVER eat their Pho if you have MSG allergy. They put so much MSG into their soup that every single time after eating their soup, my husband gets severe cramps and restricting pain across his chest for 10 minutes. And it was so dangerous this one time because he was driving and he was getting those intense cramping pain across his chest while he was driving. He only gets this due to MSG. After 10 minutes, all the pain and the pressure are instantly gone. Its the same sensation every single time and right after eating Pho at this restaurant so its not something else. We visit other Pho restaurants around Montreal and my husband never gets such intense reaction afterwards. At first we thought nothing of it now its getting worse and worse as they are putting more and more MSG into their soup that its just not worth it for us to go there just to suffer afterwards instead of enjoying a good meal. All those stellar reviews were all earned at the expense of MSG sufferers. I dont know why they need to put so much to flavour their soup. Pho, if made right is naturally extremely tasty and flavourful due to all of the ingredients thats in the soup slowly simmered overnight. Thats how the Pho is made so if its made right, you dont need MSG at all. If they have to dump so much MSG into their soup, it makes you question how well they make their soup and how much efforts they put into making their soup because with MSG, anything can taste good. What a shame. It couldve been an outstanding Pho place and yet they choose to achieve their good taste with chemicals at the detriment of peoples health. So enjoy the soup if you can but if you suffer from MSG allergy, avoid this place at all cost or only go there for their grilled dishes and spring rolls which does not contain or does not contain much MSG and they actually taste quite nice. Their MSG Pho is just not worth it. Your body will thank you.
It was our first time at this restaurant on Wednesday August 14 around 5 p.m. Regarding the waiter, it would have been nice to offer to explain the menu to us, instead of waiting for our request for help. Because the waiter immediately disappeared after giving us water, the 2 potted sauces and the menu. It took a long time to disappear and the many people who were passing by and had ordered take-out seemed to have priority over us sitting on the terrace. Once our soups and two imperial rolls were ordered, we waited a long time before being served. I was a little surprised by the 2 mini imperial rolls (aperitif or starter menu: 8cm long, 2cm wide each). My fairly old memory of a Vietnamese restaurant was that the egg rolls were at least 12cm long, 3.5cm wide. I had the impression that they were frozen rolls and not rolls that they had made themselves, because of the faded taste of the carrots and cabbage. The fish sauce was excellent, the same as I remembered (from the other Vietnamese restaurant). I had a medium bowl of chicken tonkinese soup. The noodles were perfect, not sticky, just right. However, I felt like there was too much soup compared to the noodles. Was I served fewer noodles because I had a starter? The basil leaves had black spots. The bean sprouts were fresh and crunchy. There was much less coriander than in the Tonkinese soup from another Vietnamese restaurant I remember. The soup broth could have been a little more pronounced, perhaps it had been cut with water? There wasnt much chicken. Also perhaps, you should avoid sitting under the tree, on the terrace because at one point, a jumping insect fell on the table and almost jumped into my soup. It was not explained to us what the black sauce from one of the 2 jars was (this would have been important, if there is a shellfish allergy) - we did not use it. In any case, we will probably try the other dishes on the menu.
Good food and price, nothing more. Good service, cash only!!!???
Very expensive for skewers as thin as 2 sheets of paper. We only accept cash (there is a thief counter on site). Average service. In short, I was very disappointed and I wont go back there again, thats for sure. NB. Nguyen Phi Restaurant offers higher quality and much lower prices. Im from Vietnam and this restaurant serves much more authentic food. This is where you have to go.
More expensive than many other viets and cash payment only. Insignificant portions of meat.
I had a great time on the outdoor terrace, eating a nice bowl of beef soup. The service was quick.
Great service and great quality food. I tried Pho and my friend tried papaya salad both were great tasting.
A few words are enough to describe Pho lien : Bun bo hue, the best * *(only available at lunch on week-ends, plan accordingly !)
I stopped by with my family last week while visiting Montreal. Pho is great. Both of my picky wife and mother love the soup. Service is fast and friendly. Parking: Paid parking along the road.
It was good, not great. It was a bit more expensive than other pho in the area. Left slightly disappointed.
Really nice place to eat ! The food is good and the service is fast !
this place tastes so good even the water is amazing
Today I ordered from.this restaurant on uber eat, I have a cold so.i wanted soup , boy o boy let me.tell you it was absolutely delishes, the broth was amazing and the way that they package the broth separately from.the noodle and protein is great , it came hot with fresh veggies on the side to top up the soup. Anyways absolutely delishes, loved it, thank you
A place that I have been frequenting for over 20 years with a family atmosphere. The best broth in the Côte des Neiges district and probably beyond. Of course Im talking about Pho soup :)
One of the best pho in town. Definitely the best v. desserts tho ;) Food
Food is good! Waiter was rude and made sure to show me it was a problem that i was alone to eat telling me numerous time that he would have to move me if 2 people ore more came in.. he seated me to a 4 person table himself i mean i understand but while im eating you dont move me. The pho was good tho! Portion are small and prices high
Delicious generous fast
Delicious pho bo and bun bo hue soup! A must try for the cold days
Best Pho restaurant in town. The broth is amazing. However, very small meat portion. Really small and crowded place, but friendly staff. The service is quite fast. They dont accept debit/credit cards, which is really annoying nowadays. Also, the price has drastically increased over the past 5 years (passing from 11$ to 18$ for the x-large).
Absolute rip off paid almost 115$ for 4 bowls of soup and a cold roll ridiculous this is the cheapest thing to buy at the grocery store something doesn t add up
Absolutely delicious
Love this place! My girlfriend has been going to this place for almost 20+ years. And for the past 7 years or so, it is one of our most common restaurant destination. Food is great, tasty and fresh. I recommend the Soup Tonki (chicken or beef well cooked). Their spring rolls and imperial rolls are also delicious. Love ending super with their traditional cold coffee (strong coffee, slowly dripped into condensed milk). What a great finish to an amazing meal. Whole family loves this place. Service is nice. Only (small) complaint about this place is that parking is sometimes difficult to find, and depending on time, paid for. As for the place, it is absolutely tiny. And usually quite busy. So you are sometimes crammed (if you will). When we see that it is too packed and we have the whole family, we just decide to take it out instead. Prices are very decent and affordable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
THE Pho Place in Montréal. Iconic Cote-des-Neiges restaurant. This reps Montréal like no other. Food
I tried the bun Bo hue soup, it s ordinary, I find that the soup lacks the lemongrass taste! Damage But the service is good.
I have always liked this restaurant. The soup has always been very good, as have the grilled meats. But then my wife and I ordered takeout yesterday and to our great surprise, it was better than usual! Have you changed recipes or chefs? In short, I recommend you order ;)
The best pho in town! So happy the terrasses are open again!
I love the spring rolls with peanut sauce and the classic pho bowl !
Best pho Ive tasted in Montreal. We usually order in (frequently!!) but for once we went there. Reasonable price. Killer broth. Wish you were open every day but Im happy everyone takes at least one day off! Kid-friendliness: My kids favourite food. Restaurant is a bit crowded and not much space, but staff accommodates the best they can and kids welcome and happy.
Best pho in Montreal, no other place compares and I ve tried many! I always come here when I m in the area. Quick service and consistently great food.
Excellent and nicely portioned Bún th t n ng. The vermicelli was perfect. The vegetables were crisp. The grilled pork was deliciously cooked with some parts tender and some parts crispy. The fish sauce and peanuts topped the dish perfectly. The service was excellent as well.
Specialties: spring roll, rare beef soup, Vietnamese iced coffee.
Great soup as always
Great soup as always
Food is delicious, fast service. But the prices have exploded from just over a year ago
Best pho in town. Accepts cash only.
Food was delicious and I left feeling satisfied. The service was quick and efficient. Thank you
I hadnt finished my plate and the waiter took my plate without asking. He just went with it. It was common to have food stolen
The best pho in town! The best egg rolls and meat! Whichever plate u get, will be delicious! my only complaint would be that they dont accept card! Cash only! But love the whole business dont order from ubereats as the business does not profit from it and they deserve the coins
Delicious. Line out the door so you know the food had to be delicious. Was not disappointed after I had the first bite. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!
Service was very quick and the food arrived fairly quickly. The place itself is quite cramped when the restaurant is full. The food was very good and filling. Although the prices have gone up. Overall would recommend!
The soup is really delicious.. We didnt have to line up during lunch time, but we started lining up at about 12:30! There are a lot of large sizes
The Pho is great.
Delicious food! The vermicelli bowl was just excellent
The place is not clean and there is an unpleasant smell. The service is poor. The soup was good though. A popular restaurant despite everything. (???)
This place was recommended to us by our son who lives there. Very good food at a reasonable price
We had a combo and the price and food was as we expected.. Nothing fancy but does the job
Do not forget to bring cash, the restaurant has the credit card machine, but really does not want to use it. The owner realized that we are not from Canada, did not want to accept either credit card or dollars. Ruined the entire experience, made us use cash machine that did not work to finally accept the US dollars.
Awesome Tonkinoise soup, very very fast service (dont let the lineups fool you, it passes very quickly). I adore their bubble tea (red bean tea I think they call it) and also their spring rolls. All in all great place, great in the winter or summer (they have AC!)
Absolutely delicious Kid-friendliness: We brought in a stroller and they were very accommodating during a busy period Food : 5/5 |
More expensive than most of the places. $18, tx included for the large. Great pho, but still pricy enough. I realise they dont miss clientele, so its still pretty busy. Food : 5/5
The most delicious Vietnamese noodle restaurant
Nice quaint place. Great high quality meat and good tasting soup but they had no basil. They only take cash also. But worth the stop.
Wow! This is an incredible Phoking good bowl of Pho. From the moment I took my first sip of the soup, my taste buds were smacked by the sweetness of the onions, followed by a harmonious blend of herbs such as star anise, cardamom, and cloves. The noodles were cooked to perfection, providing just the right amount of chewiness. Now, lets talk about the toppings, particularly the brisket, which was simply outstanding. The brisket slices were unbelievably tender and practically melted in my mouth. See the picture of the ideal brisket slice for Pho, showcasing a thin line of contrasting fat. Every aspect of this Southern-style Pho deserves a perfect 10 out of 10. It surpasses many bowls of Pho Ive enjoyed during my travels and in NYC. I would gladly move upstairs to this restaurant so I can enjoy it for lunch every day and then walk up and down the stairs to burn off those calories.
Pho is a healthy option for a meal. It is a popular restaurant in peak hours. Every dish is excellent. Grilled pork was marinated and tender. The service is always quick. Cash only.
I used to go to this place for years, but now it s like $19 for a soup with no drink or side and they still only take cash!! I feel like they are just pushing the envelope to see how much they can squeeze loyal customers I go to Pho Nguyen now - $13 for the same soup that tastes just as good with even more meat and noodles and they take card
Amazing ph and dessert selection. The service was fast despite having a lot of customers. Ive been to this place multiple times and it truly deserves its reputation as being a top tier pho place. Ive eaten pho in the South and Central Vietnam and this place is 100% authentic and measures up. Highly recommended.
Excellent Pho! Like in Vietnam!
My happy place! the Pho are incredible. The service is always fast. You can only pay in cash, but there is an ATM on site
Good place with nice pho.
Theyve been trying to save money lately: 1- water instead of iced tea 2- coriander replaces basil A real Pho is eaten with basil!!!
Delicious pho , they close every Tuesday
Delicious food and amazing staff
The food was not bad is okay, service a bit slow, but not bad, but I think is really pricey I eat same in downtown and I dont pass the 80$ with tips with 4 ppl Although the brew cold coffee with condensed milk was really good Food
Quick service . Food is amazing
Always delicious
Wow, the reviews are real, one of the best Pho I have ever had. Service is fast and efficient. Great portion, quality and price. Highly recommended and the surrounding area of CDN is a must see in Montréal. Not five star because is cash only.
Pho lien has always been popular and it taste good, but the price are quite high for a pho. Ordered take out for pho: extra large and we were still hungry after it.. which was around $18 each. Definitely got expensive and smaller portions not worth it anymore.
Simply the best Pho in Montreal. No need to say more. The broth is perfect and the pieces of meat appetizing. The three-color dessert is a delight that should not be forgotten. To do and to do again!!!
Does not take debit or credit in 2023...
Beautiful place, very simple but still very good and excellent service! Plus, its really not expensive. Chicken and shrimp on crispy noodle bowl highly suggested!
Very humble and modest spot, where the food quality is amazing and the prices are right. Honestly the best spot in MTL to est Pho! Dont forget to take out cash, they only take cash (they have an ATM but its better to escape the fees)
Unless it was just an unlucky day that lunch time I took out-of -town guests there,I had major disappointments for this place. One,the appetizer is a big letdown,2 thin cigar-sized rolls for $8 with the inner wrap soft and seemingly untouched by hot frying oil with carrot slivers as predominant filling, cmmon ? The Pho was ok with the broth as genuinely from simmered bones but gets cold easily. What is there to enjoy? My guests who are both food manufacturers in the states think $95 for simple 2 soups ,1 shrimp salad and 1 order of spring rolls not definitely worth it! Parking: It was available at that time because it is not the busy hours.
Used to be great but now prices have increased so much but at the same time quality has also decreased so much! It makes me sad because this used to be my favourite Pho place.
One of the best places in Montreal for a good Tonkinese soup. The service is A1 and the soup...wow...I recommend it...The combos are also affordable
Bit pricey. Tasty is consistent last 23 years! Excellent!
So so Pho. I was expecting it to be much better, but it s bland and not special. Service is no good either. Plus, they only accept cash.
Confused by the positive reviews. We tried their ph c bi t and it was anything but c bi t. Soup was tasteless and had very little meat and noodles. We were still hungry after eating the ph . Save your money and go somewhere else.
We went there a group of 4, some from the US. For 19.50$, the pho was so blend (my guests thought it was from instant pho), with 3 thin and tiny slices of hard old meat. Very disappointed.
I found an insect in my pho, and the staff were very casual about it like nothing happened and were certainly not apologetic. One of the worst experiences at a restaurant.
Wonderful Pho in Montreal. Really delicious Pho.
Make sure you bring cash because that s all they accept! Service was fast and food was fresh, piping hot, and always satisfying. This place never disappoints and it always hits the spot.
Good rolls. Cash only place. Pho was decent
Ok no more
The pho itself is not bad (standard quality), but the rolls are really poor quality; the service is unbearable and inhumane: the boss has a different attitude towards customers of different origins. This borders on racism. The atmosphere is simply like a school canteen.
Just got back from Montreal, this was the nearest Vietnamese restaurant that we could find from St Joseph Oratory. I must admit, I really wanted to try this place because the review was quite ok. I ordered the rice and my family ordered Pho. It was awful, tasteless, expensive and the portions were very little.
Parking: Stationnement sur les rues très achalandées Food
We came back but I noticed apart from the pho soup which is succulent & tasty. The prices are too expensive and excessive, the rest frankly is not up to par...I am very disappointed by the prices charged, so I am reconsidering my opinion...
Best Pho Soup in Montreal!
Awesome no-frills place for Pho!
Horrible service. Obnoxious waiter, save yourself from their low class and disrespect.
I believe this restaurant has been sold. Papaya salad is no longer served with vinegar, but with fish sauce. Grilled beef is made leaf-thin. The broth of Tonkinese soups is diluted. Its a shame, I loved this restaurant so much.
Great pho here! Consistently good for years. They only take cash, so something to remember. But there is an ATM inside.
Not clean. Broth is good, portions are small for price in comparison to other pho places.
Very delicious! The soup is clear and tasty, and I don t feel thirsty after I finished the soup. It happened to me when I had pho in somewhere else. I will come back for sure!
The pho was good, the rice pancakes with eggs was one of the best Ive eaten. The grilled pork chop was also well seasoned and delicious. The only negative point I have is the price, the portion was small for what you paid for; I can find pork chop almost two times bigger elsewhere for the same price and that are as good.
Awesome food. Prompt service. A Montreal staple.
rating: 3.8 / 5 Prior to 2020, I used to have lunch here fairly often with my family. Out of the many pho restaurants located in Montreal, we preferred Pho Lien because of their appetizers, three-coloured drink and obviously, their pho. Over the past 3 years, we hadn t dined here due to multiple reasons, the main ones being the implementation of restrictions associated with covid (lockdowns) and the 45 minutes drive it takes (used to come here after tutoring lessons back in high-school). On Friday, October 6th at around 11:15am, my family and I decided to come for lunch, as we had plans in the vicinity. We (4) were seated immediately and ordered the following: - pho (beef) - spring rolls - papaya salad - rice cakes and eggs - three-coloured drink (+ more pho for takeout) For starters, overall, the quality and the taste of the dishes are what I remember them to be. Although I have noticed that the broth contained slightly less MSG than before (based on its taste alone), which i personally prefer. Also, the three-coloured drink was extremely sugary and the taste of coconut was much less prominent, which sadly altered the taste. On a positive note, the spring rolls I grew up loving taste just the same and the peanut sauce is still to my liking. (I m quite picky when it comes to the consistency and the taste of peanut dipping sauce, truthfully I d give theirs an 8.5/10) However, the portion of some dishes are significantly smaller than what my family and I remember them to be- which is rather disappointing, considering that the price has increased as well. I understand that the rise of food costs leaves businesses no choice but to increase the prices on their menu, however diminishing the dishes portions on top of that is simply a bad business move. For instance: - the amount of noodles in the pho was nowhere near enough when taking into account the size of the bowl ordered (the amount of beef was fine though) - the rice cakes and eggs dish has shrunk by a lot (this is my mom s favourite dish, therefore she noticed right away) - the glass used to serve the three-coloured drink is shorter and smaller, as the handle of the spoon used to be barely visible when inserted in the glass and while mixing the drink before taking a sip I sincerely hope this review reaches the business well and serves as constructive criticism, as I truly wish to continue supporting this restaurant whose food takes me back to my childhood and other memories that I m fond of. Service: Waiter was polite and the dishes were served fairly quickly, though we went before rush-hour took place.
A little expensive, I think.
Very disappointed. I ve been coming to Pho Lien for years and tonight s meal is by far the worst I ve had. There are better Pho restaurants out there than Pho Lien. The chicken Pho soup is boiled sliced chicken, not even grilled chicken. Not worth the price at all and I will not be coming back at all. Nobody from my table enjoyed their meal. We should have gone elsewhere tonight instead of going there!!
Best pho ever. Im a regular Parking: Best pho Food : 5/5 |
Best Tonkinese soup in MTL
always so good, especially after a day spent in the cold!
For 30 years...that says it all... Thanks for all the #27s and the soups... Looking forward to seeing you again soon...
Best pho Ive had in Montreal. Definitely a place to go for any meal on a cold day, but great during the summer as well. All the soups are similar, just with different toppings. They also serve dishes as well if thats what youre looking for. The staff are very friendly and serve food quickly and efficiently. The soup sizes are great, and very cheap for a meal in Montreal. They also can give extra bowls as well as fresh chillies if requested. One thing to remember is that it is CASH ONLY (they do have an ATM). The reason for docking one star for atmosphere is because depending on where you are seated, sometimes cold air rushes in when people enter/exit (which is pretty often), but the smell as you walk in makes you instantly crave pho. Kid-friendliness: They have 3 sizes and also can provide small bowls to share.
Its been excellent for decades!
Excellent
Welcoming staff Very delicious meal.
Some the best pho in Montreal! It has been here long before the larger commercial ones.
Ate here and the soup was great. Before it was salty but now its very balanced. Very tight spot and only accept cash. They do have an ATM and theres a Royal Bank across the street.
Dont order/delivery from this place. Quite shameful portion for an extra large pho, looks like medium.... and dont even ask about the large pho, its a joke for the price you pay... They gave minimal toppings and no thai basil... Only a few branches of coriander.... I work in a hospital (RVH) with health care professional, doctors and nurses. For a Vietnamese who wanted work colleagues to discover and enjoy Vietnamese food, this is a slap in the face and a kick in the butt.... I think it would have been better to eat in the restaurant itself?! Havent tried it so I dont know and the reason for my 2 stars, otherwise I would have given them 1.5 star because the food tastes just ok... du ma...
Best phó around. Prices are good, service is very fast. Be forewarned, they accept only cash here. Luckily there are many banks around Kid-friendliness: Yes. Have seen many families with children enjoying a dinner there
