S1 and S2 are the best! Haven't found that comes close in other Vietnamese restaurants in terms of flavors. They're traditional dishes, but they're very original in the sense that you won't find them anywhere else in Montreal (that I know of).
Good food but maybe because i tried the same dish in Vietnam and i liked it more. Here is good too but just not the same
Everything here is amazing! They got tuesday specials so definitely worth checking out this place for tuesdays 👍
Ordered from DoorDash. Chicken soup and chicken fried rice. Was kinda surprised to open my container of food to find spaghetti-like noodles rather than the usual flat rice noodles. I didn’t care for them. The broth was also pretty much straight water. Not a hint of aromatics, no colour, the faintest hint of a flavour. Even after adding my own condiments it just tasted like water. The rice was fine. Fair portions for price point. Would try again (different items).
One of the best authentic restaurants in town. My wife had the chicken & imperials with rice noodles along with a soup. On my side it was the rice noodle with grilled pork and imperial rolls. The meals were flavourful, delicious . Fried ice cream for the dessert, it was excellent. Definitely recommand and will be back.
Decent food and service, has outdoor seating. Clean interior. The food's favors were on the light side. Vietnamese ice coffee should be a bit sweeter. I ordered grilled beef rice and got half beef half pork.
Went to have dinner with friends on a Tuesday night (50% off the 2nd plate). The restaurant was full. The food was very authentic and delicious. We had bún chả cá lá vọng & bún nem cua bể. Big portions. Service was a bit slow but that’s because the waiter was overwhelmed. Reasonable price for great food.
This isn't our first time here. Definitely a family favorite spot that we go back to every few months. Not only can you bring your own alcohol but they have deals where on certain days you can get two dishes for the price of one. This place is usually packed so the wait times can be long but they are kid friendly and service is great!
Just like vietnam. The food there is very authentic. It reminded me of my trip in vietnam. I highly recommend the bo lat lot. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any hesitation or help choosing a dish, they will make sure to help you pick the most fittable dish. The ambiance is very cozy, while the decor is quite plain, but the main focus here is the food.
Great discovery, a restaurant where they welcome you with a smile even at 3 p.m. The service is fast, the room pleasant and the food is very good, the portions are generous.
Best vietnamese restaurant in Montreal.
Good food.
Go taste their ice coffee! You will fall back in your Vietnam best dream!
This place is better than the BNA ACT of 1867
Great choices and friendly service
I also recommend the S12 Bò lá lôt but share it with someone!
Best ph bò in town! The broth has a great perfume. Other dishes are also tasty, like their bún th t n ng or their bún ch cá lã v ng. And I always order on the side an avocado shake - the best combo.
Some people of our group got food poisoning.
Its the best Bun Bo Hue Ive eaten in Montreal! The broth is incredible!
Loved the lemon chicken soup and stir fry here. Very fresh and tasty, another top rated Uber eats success. Highly recommend this place.
One of the best in Montreal
Weve been ordering from them for several months - and still just as good and the service is great - in terms of taste and quality ratio, its great too!
Everything was delicious and tasted authentic!
Excellent service and delicious food. An enjoyable experience from start to finish. I recommend.
My new favorite Viet. Best Pho in town. Best Bun Cha Han Oi. Yum!
Excellent traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Friendly service. Well come back!
Best bun bo hue in town!
The menu: d i n ng* is excellent: of course a must try every time!
Always a treat, generous portion
Have been here 2 times and will be back. The food is excellent. Very friendly service! This place stands out for the variety of dishes!
Best Pho and Bo la lot in sth
I come to Ho Guom Restaurant every time I have flight transit at Montreal. Amazing , authentic and probably best food in Montreal.
very good dishes, served in an almost traditional way, the service is impeccable
Good deal because of BYOW. Terrasse. I preferred the snail soup from Pho Vietnam.
Had the Pho ga chat (Chopped chicken pho) and it was great!
1. Chinese sausage + beef rib pho... so good - flavor and taste. There is no room in my stomach to try the dishes you order on the table even though they look very attractive and fragrant. Will come back when I have a chance. 2. BYOB - bring your own beer... but if you dont have beer, just go and ask the barkeeper, he will guide you to a beer shop not far away: there will be beer to enjoy sausage, grilled intestines with shrimp paste... etc. .
Really slow service for a Monday evening. There were still 3 servers for a small restaurant. The dishes are correct. Nothing special for Vietnamese. The next day, there were 3 of us who had food poisoning.
Exceptional. Really authentic and tasty. Super friendly service
The food here is super delicious, everyone who came along said the same thingyyy
Came here to try their bun cha. It was okay but I wasnt amazed especially for the price. It was really expensive for one meal of bun cha. Paid 30$. As a viet, this must be thr highest price Ive paid for a viet meal and its not even a fancy resto. Maybe Ive had better bun cha in Vietnam and my expectation was too high . A bit disappointed
The Tonkinese soup is delicious and the service is excellent.
Food was okay, but young male server shouldnt be a server if he is unhappy and giving an attitude smh
Very very good traditional Vietnamese coffee. Very good and typical food
As a Viet living in Quebec, I was happy to try this excellent authentic Viet restaurant for the first time. The food is delicious and served fresh and hot. Their Cha Ça La Vong was delicious, and since Im originally from Hanoi where this rare Viet dish was invented, I was happy to try it since its rarely offered on the menu. Their dish of Viet boudin and cooked tripe was succulent! Their Bun ôc cha ca is exquisite! The Chè 3 mau dessert was also really on point! I will definitely come back.
Great service and excellent food
Bún Bò Hu soup is so delicious filled with tender meat and thick vermicelli in a slightly spicy broth wow yum I will come back for sure!
One of the best Vietnamese in town. Unpretentious decor but authentic food.
SO GOOD AND FRESH
Great portions and the bun cha was delicious!
Good price, delicious, nice atmosphere
Very nice spot Lovely staff Great food Tuesday special is awesome Food : 5/5 |
Great Bun Cha Ha Noi
Surely this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Foods are tasty and prices are reasonable
Lovely!!!
Excellent service. Very fast and efficient. Very good quality food.
A real delight! An explosion of flavor! A special touch that you dont find elsewhere! Surprising, affordable, address to remember! Bravo to the chef and the service!
The service was courteous The food ok I recommend
I asked to add grilled beef and my faithful servant impolitely declined. No, it doesn t go together. he also said that I was bronze in ranked on fortnite
Good food, fast service
Really excellent Vietnamese food that stands out for its depth of flavour and presentation.
A Vietnamese restaurant that I like. No fuss but delicious food and Patrick our bilingual and probably trilingual waiter sety with enthusiasm and promptness We can bring our drink there (wine beer). Obviously were going back!
Order by uber eat. So excellent. I highly recommend
Good Vietnamese restaurant with Northern specialties. The portions are sufficient, although the price is a little high. The chicken wings are way too salty though. Good service in general.
Tonkinese shrimp soup: excellent!! Downside: the price... I find it a little expensive. On delivery so I cannot judge the service and atmosphere Vegetarian options: Not enough options unfortunately
Went for lunch, and ordered their specialty Bun Vha Hanoi along with the chicken salad and a small Pho Dac Biet. Everything was flavourful and did not disappoint.
Very good meal and reasonable price and very good service.
Best authentic viet resto in my opinion. They have a lot of meals that others dont. Portions are always too big for me, im saying that in a good way meaning they are not cheap on the food! I used to live close by but have now moved in the suburbs. I drive 2 hours back and forth just to eat their food
Succulent meal. I had one of the specialties and it was really tasty
I ordered online and went to pick up. Very good, reasonable prices.
The dishes are excellent and good portions.
Good variety and quality. Good service. Ch giò cua recommended. Its exquisite.
Food all good. Highly recommend the grill fish ! Pho is average.
Amazing place for authentic Vietnamese food! The service is great and the food is always very fresh and delicious. Make sure to try the shrimp salad!
Best spot for authentic Bun Cha
I love this restaurant, Ive been going there regularly for years!
Very good and authentic restaurant! A lot of Vietnamese speciality that you won t find at other Viet restaurants!
This is my restaurant in the top 3 I go there regularly, and its always the same very good service. And what about the delicious meals, a treat for the taste buds. Go for it, its a winner.
I regret to say that my recent visit to Ho Guom was less than satisfactory, mainly due to the rude attitude and poor service provided by one of your staff members. Entering the restaurant with a group of four people from various ethnic backgrounds, we were greeted by an employee who was fluent in English. He wears glasses and is normally handsome. However, despite his language skills, his attitude and service were severely lacking. Throughout our dining experience, we observed a distinct disparity in treatment based on our non-Vietnamese ethnicity. The staff member showed noticeable bias, which was both disappointing and discouraging. It is disconcerting to witness such behavior, especially in a context that should prioritize hospitality and inclusion. The overall service we received was far from the standard one would expect in a restaurant. The staff member in question appeared disrespectful, careless and failed to provide the level of service that encourages positive reviews and customer loyalty. This experience left a lasting negative impression on everyone in our party. Unfortunately, based on our encounter, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend Ho Guom to others. We believe that the success of a restaurant is not only based on the quality of its food but also on the professionalism and courtesy shown by its staff. We sincerely hope that you will respond to these concerns quickly, as fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment is essential to the success of any establishment. Thank you for your attention to this subject during future meetings.
The rare beef Pho soup is delicious. THANKS!
Excellent authentic Vietnamese food! Friendly and quick service. Must try the Nem cua b , which is the Ch giò with crab filling, and the rice paper wrap ! Its not the egg roll wrap as in other places.
Food is always top quality, fresh and packed with flavour. Service is incredible thank you !!
I loved the Pho soup
Very delicious
Drove over 1.5 hours to/from the other side of town for their BOGO50% Tuesdays specials. The bun cha Hanoi was tasty, with generous amounts of marinated pork and 1 large pork patty. The tofu + veggie stir-fry was equally ample. Wait time to get orders varied between waiters, but food was served promptly.
Delicious, good service, good atmosphere, thank you!
Very authentic Vietnamese food. Great service, high quality dishes and fair prices. Staff are all super friendly and efficient. We highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you crave authentic Vietnamese dishes. Every time we re in town, we make a point to go eat here. Oh, did I mention it s BYOB?
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Nice people.
Lots of herbs and with North Vietnam favorites.
Delicious spring roll, excellent main course shrimp and grilled vegetables
Depending on the dish, there are delicious dishes and there are also not so delicious dishes Good service The space is tight so there is a bit of a smell
Bad service Kid-friendliness: Not adequate for families
Delicious food, reasonable prices, and attentive service, what more could you ask for? I ordered the imperial roll and vegetable soup with grilled chicken. The broth was delicious and chicken was very flavourful. Vegetables were fresh and cooked tender crisp. I ll definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Items contained tofu but the broth was not vegetarian. My vegetarian husband didn t mind
Great place
The Bo La Lot (sorry, I dont put the accents), number 12 in the specialties menu, is a real pleasure. You make your own spring rolls from these little grilled beef sausages and an impressive quantity of fresh herbs and vegetables. New, wonderful, delicious flavors.
This restaurant is so good and lots of choice! My favorite Vietnamese restaurant now Excellent service!
I highly recommend the snail soup and the tofu and vegetables sautéed with vermicelli. The salad and veggies they include are super high quality. The free spring rolls and sauce was a real treat because I don t usually order those anymore so it was a good excuse to have them again plus the recipe is pretty unique. The skip the dishes order arrived in a reasonable time and with nothing missing. I wasn t blown away by the fried tofu and shrimp sauce but the other dishes made up for it. I ll try to come by in person sometime to try the veggie pho
My neighborhood go-to Pho! Nice food & staff Thanks!
The shop has a lot of special Vietnamese dishes. The taste is suitable and the space is airy and clean. I came here to try the food and found it quite suitable for me. However, compared to local dishes, it is only 7/10 points. If you are a foreigner, you should come and try it once because its delicious Kid-friendliness: Very good service staff
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant!
Vietnamese food is quite diverse, with many dishes to choose from. Prices are also relatively reasonable. Serves iced tea but dont know if its free or not. The restaurant space is relatively spacious and clean.
wow very good fast and cheap service..we will go back.
Good price, good food, simple neighborhood pho and cafe sua da.
Great food. Pho was on point, grilled chicken excellent and Bo La Lot savoury. Oh and the crab rolls were excellent! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu
First visiting in Montreal and this is the first time we ve been to H G m. The staff are friendly and service is great. We got Bun Bo Hue and Bun Cha Ca La Vong . I forgot to tell them that we have peanut allergy and Bun Cha Ca La Vong contains peanut but after we saw that on the food, we asked server to change and no hesitation they took back and made a new one for us. Really highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
food is so good and the staff is friendly :) parking is a bit hard to find
The food is reasonably. But thin to mean that they reduced the food content while trying to keep the price low. I would rather that they charge more money for the food and make it plentiful like in the old days (before COVID). Dont expect good service. You go there for the good not for the environment or the service.
Great food, affordable prices ! Will come again
Very good restaurant!
First visit on a Tuesday where the 2nd main plate is at 50%. Friendly staff, food was delicious with good prices. Ill go back.
Friendly and quick service. Food was delicious. I recommend the bun cha ca soup! Would definitely recommend to others.
I had the bún u platter (only vermicelli and fried tofu w shrimp paste sauce) and the nem cua b . Taste is pretty authentic for the dishes but not the dipping sauces. For some reason most sauces are super sour which overpowered the true umami taste of the sauce and the food pieces. Service is good, the majority of staff were very attentive except for the server whose hair is dyed blond that evening, not sure if he wanted to work that shift as his attitude spoke otherwise.
It s a bit pricey but the food plate is huge Clean place and nice staff also
The food is quite good with the right taste and texture. They can do less with he salty though. The snail and fish cake noodle is very good. Price is a little high and portion is too big. Id prefer if the price is lower and small portion. The entree should be smaller with lower price too so customers can try multiple dishes at an affordable price.
The restaurant is very clean and cool. After ordering and eating, I asked for a review so my friends could come here to eat. The taste of the dish is 100% Northern standard. The food is very delicious & full of hometown flavor, eating it makes you feel like you are in Hanoi. The owner & staff are very friendly.
My recent dining experience on Monday June 26th left me with mixed feelings. I had bún ch Hanoi, the food itself was undeniably delicious, featuring an array of flavors that delighted my palate. However, I couldnt overlook the fact that I suffered from a severe stomachache throughout the night. It seems likely that the culprit was the reuse of fresh herbs and salad from a previous customer, which may have introduced contaminants. While I appreciate the culinary craftsmanship, I strongly advise the restaurant to prioritize food safety and ensure the use of fresh ingredients for every dish. Despite the unfortunate aftermath, I remain hopeful that this incident was an isolated occurrence and that the restaurant will take appropriate measures to address this concern.
A real treat every time. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
An excellent restaurant, the dishes are generous and tasty! Try it and you will come back! Try the good lot
Very good food and amazing, welcoming staff. Do try their specials. I tried their S1 special and found it to be very tasty. Kid-friendliness: As kid friendly as it gets. High chairs, understanding and caring staff.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Montréal with very authentic dishes like Bun Oc Cha Muc, Bo La Lot, Cha Ca La Vong and Nem Cua Be. It never disappoints!
Fair.
Great spot to get some Bun Cha. Reminds me of the ones from Hanoi. Its also a BYOW spot.
Excellent menu and delicious dishes! The shrimp salad I ordered this evening was simply exquisite. All the dishes I have ordered here have always been fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money.
The Bun Cha Ha Noi was excellent and very close to those in Viet Nam. Fact to note; the only weakness of the dish was the Bun Cha dumpling, which had no taste. Small weak point in an otherwise excellent dish. I will definitely go back. Dietary restrictions: Be careful if you are allergic to peanuts because many dishes contain them.
The best Vietnamese restaurant in town, by far!! Everything is tasty, I tried several dishes since I went there more than ten times this year. The servers are extremely attentive, the service is again the best I have received in an establishment of this type (average prices - bring your own wine).
Simply excellent!!!
Amazing food, quick and courteous service
Friendly service and good advice from the young blond man. THANKS! Short but tasty imperial rolls. There was only a little fish sauce: we would have had more. Spicy beef soup: flavorful broth. The beef, however, contained a little too much fat and gristle for our taste. Bò lá lôt: excellent! We will come back to share one! Otherwise, the menu is varied and if the room is noisy, the terrace offers a pleasant and quieter space.
Impeccable service. The young waiter was fun and patient with us. The dishes are delicious and the soup is perfect. THANKS
My father and I went to eat there this evening and had a lovely time. Our waiter (Antoine) was super friendly and agreed to choose for us what we were going to eat amongst the restaurants best dishes. He made us discover some really delicious Vietnamese specialities, overall it was a great experience!
The bun dau phu mam tom dish is very fresh and very good. I also loved the dessert, the fried ice cream. The dough was thin and crispy, it was so good! The service is also friendly and very fast. I will come back and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
It was my husband and I s first time here, we arrived before closing and we were greeted with a smile by the waiter. He was so kind to us. We got two plates of grilled chicken, beef and vermicelle noodles coming with mouth watering soup, salad, fish sauce and two rolls it was SO delicious. Incredible food for the best price I ve ever seen for Vietnamese food. The second plate was 50% off and the dessert was SOOOOO amazing and tasty. The most mouth watering Vietnamese food experience we ve had ever. The price was perfect for everything we had received the best and most affordable we ve ever seen, wow We will return and bring our friends / family in the near future! Thank you again so much for letting us in just before closing we don t regret our choice! Vegetarian options: Ask for vegetarian option and they will give it to you Parking: Parking right in front of the restaraunt
good
Awesome had a great time with the staff and the meat was hella juicy
Good food, I love their Tonkinese soup, the price is reasonable and the service is fast. They have literally Vietnamese specialties which are excellent and which introduce us to new food Please note, it is no longer possible to deliver, but take-out orders are still possible.
The food was excellent !! Authentic even the service was excellent nothing to say more. I went very often and the food was excellent liked always.
Very good
Very noisy inside so I suggest the covered and heated terrace. Vegetarian options: Several dishes of grilled vegetables, sautéed etc... are offered.
Parking: A lot of good food in non expensive price ! Recommended dishes
The atmosphere is pleasant and sociable
This is a delicious Vietnamese restaurant. It offers specialty dishes that are difficult to find elsewhere and they do it well. Be sure to try them instead of the typical pho that you can find at other places. The quantity of food you get is also pretty solid at a good price point. The bun bo hue I got was not as spicy as Id want it to be, but it was still delicious and flavorful. The service was quick and our waiter was friendly. Definitely recommend as one of the more unique Vietnamese place in Montreal.
Very good as a place for family dinner.
Went to Restaurant Ho Guom while in Montreal for a visit. We arrived around 8:45 p.m. with the posted closing at 9:30 p.m. We quickly placed our order & I got to try a traditional Vietnamese dish called bun oc cha muc which is snails and fried squid patty in a tomato based broth with vermicelli. Ive never seen this on any menu in the GTA and let me tell you, Im now on the hunt. The broth was delicious with a hint of sour, the snails and patties were plentiful. We also ordered spring rolls and Vietnamese beef salad & both were delicious. I loved the acidity of the salad & that there were tons of red onions. Even though they close at 9:30 p.m., I never felt rushed. In fact, the gentleman who mainly served us told me to take my time. Great food and great service! I would definitely go back as well as recommend this place to all.
One of the best Vietnamese authentique food in Montreal Friendly staff Clean place I recommend
Always open and available as a couple or in a gang. I easily find parking
The staff is very nice and attentive. My Chicken Pho was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Def a must try. Food
This was my 3rd time at this restaurant but pho this time had too much MSG.
