Sam provided our group from Winnipeg/Saskatoon with exceptional service! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her professionalism and positive attitude truly enhanced our dining experience. Highly recommend her service!
The good ratings on this place speak for themselves! I stopped in while driving through Moose Jaw this weekend. The food was awesome, service was on point, and the atmosphere felt welcoming! Even when our waitress was busy with other things, her coworkers were checking in on us and helping with drink refills. You definitely get family vibes and a strong team atmosphere here. My food was great, the home cut fries had me drooling! I’m impressed and will be back! And will of course recommend to people I know!
All the comments about friendly and comfortable are true. Younger visitors will find it retro. Older one will see as what the diner they grew up with. Special praise to the kitchen for a breakfast with eggs done right and the sausages split to prevent the greasies. The hash browns were among the best I've had. For non-prairie visitors, order the rye toast. You'll love it. All in all, this is the place for breakfast. It's full of locals a few minutes after the 8 am opening. It's worth the wait, if necessary. Take a booth if you can, for the full experience.
Every time my family and I go to Moose Jaw, we go to Veroba's for their lovely breakfast. We went last weekend and it was just as good as usual. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and we did not have to wait very long for our food. The prices are very affordable, and the food is tasty. I had a bit of egg shell in my one Eggs Benedict, but nothing too severe.
First time eating here and I was happy my food and service. The lady’s working there were inviting and friendly. The food was on point, delicious and perfect to my satisfaction. I got the breakfast special with a fruit cup.
Veroba's in Moose Jaw. This is what they call the house burger. Two homemade 6 ounce patties(I would say closer to 8 ounce) shredded lettuce, tomato, fried mushrooms, slice of ham. I substituted cheddar for the mozza that it comes with. It was really good. The service was good also. The cost was right around 20 bucks. Sorry the photo could have been better.
Came for lunch with the ladies. Food is truly homemade and delicious! Even the cheesecake that I failed to take a picture before it was gone! Definitely put on your list to visit sometime soon.
It's an ok place but unfortunately when we got there it was busy and the server wasn't able to really keep up. The food was mediocre at best. The soup was good but cold... It could have been better and definitely could have been worse.
Although it took awhile for our food to arrive, the Denver sandwich and fries were delicious.
The best place for a home cooked meal like mom used to make
Great family owned spot. Welcomed our large group warmly on short notice. Huge servings, excellent taste. Very friendly service.
My old school friend invited me for supper at Verobas. Ive been there many times, the food is always good and the service too and this time was no different. We had a nice time . Food
Totally that small, family type of meal you would expect in your mom or grandmothers kitchen. Excellent comfort food.
Meal was hot when bought to the table.
Have heard favorable reviews about Verobas and am happy to say that they were true. It seems to be a very popular place, good sized portions, tasty food, and a reasonable price.
Definitely a cute little place to have breakfast. We love visiting this little diner when were in the city
We had weekday lunch. That club sandwich was remarkable! In the best way. We were served quickly and cheerfully. When I go back Ill pay more attention to the fun framed schematics on the walls.
The best Clubhouse sandwich of any I have ever had. The best!
The best supper that I ever had. Great people and wonderful food. Will come again.
Was suggested by a friend and co worker and did not disappoint. Would absolutely do this place again. Perhaps breakfast... food was delicious. Waitress was great.
Quite possibly the best breakfast Ive had in years!
Great food.
Subpar. Probably could have made a better blt myself. Fries have no salt.
Felt like a small town restaurant with good food.
Very good food, street parking is metered. There is a very narrow parking lot, especially if you have a big truck!
Nice atmosphere and great service. Gluten free options too. Finally a restaurant that provides good quality food in generous portions corresponding to prices. Make sure to stop here when you re in Moose Jaw.
A nice little gem in downtown Moosejaw! I would have to say I had one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Next time I need to try breakfast, people say its the best breakfast around!!
My go to when I want home cooking! Great sandwiches and burgers! Highly recommend their turkey and roast beef dinners!
Excellent food and service. Waitress is fabulous.
The food is top notch. Servers are awesome. You may have to wait a bit for your food but SO WORTH IT. Had breakfast was super delicious
Awesome place and food
Best breakfast in MJ. Hash browns are fantastic. Sam is a terrific server.
Absolutely fantastic. I ordered the candied bacon burger and it was one of the best Ive ever had
I have been there for breakfast and it was a 5/5 however I went there for dinner and was disappointed ordered the veal cutlets and surprised they used a frozen cutlets I thought it wouldve been homemade. I tried to eat it however it was very mushy. So the waitress was amazing she asked if I would like something else. So I ordered the hot beef sandwich which took 25 minutes and when I got it my friend was done eating. So I wont be going back for dinners but definitely breakfast.
The best thing a out this greasy spoon is the mural.
Always great food and service here. Fantastic alone or with a group Parking: The walk will do you good
have incredibly tasty bread.
Good breakfast spot but a little slow.
Great family restaurant. The food and service were amazing. Recommend the cream of perogie soup.
Had a nice lunch here with my dad while back home!
My wife and I came to Moose Jaw for our anniversary and stopped in at this place for breakfast, and its safe to say we had a legit breakfast. I had the Hungry and she had the eggs benedicts, and both of us were over the top full and didnt finish. I asked the server how often people finish what I had and she said not often, and it was $20.75. Only drawback is if we were rushed for time, this wouldnt have been good as we were there for just over 90 minutes, but thats because it was so busy, because its a gem. We will definitely be back.
Fast courteous service. Awesome staff. Clean surroundings. Cheerful atmosphere with patrons. Highly recommended.
Food is Amazing! Service is always friendly, and attentive. You definitely get your bang for your buck
I ordered a chicken , The quality was acceptable, their service was acceptable as well.
My favorite restaurant by far in Moose Jaw!!
Waited well over 50 minutes for our breakfast. By the time it was « rushed to our table » we had to get it to go as we had a commitment we had to be on time for. Cannot comment on the food as we never had a chance to eat it. Sadly, this was our first experience in Moose Jaw.
Just an ordinary little diner with good home cooked meals !!
Great breakfasts. The hashbrowns with onions and ham are the best I have ever eaten.
Two big Salisbury steaks, mash, veg and soup for $20. Tasty grub but a little on the salty side. Overall a good experience. Kid-friendliness: Small kids menu with the usual options.
Excellent homemade food and Excellent service. Very large portions and very reasonably priced.
Excellent restaurant!... busy at noontime, but we were not in a hurry.
Food is always good and service as well
Best breakfast in Moose jaw! Hamburger steak and eggs!
Always a good meal! Service was great.
Dinner lastnight was great. I had liver and onions, yummy. Others had fish and salad and another had veal cutlet. Desert was coconut cream pie. All meals were great, service was fantastic. Thank you
Always a great meal and friendly staff. No fanciness, just like home-cooked meals at a very reasonable price. My husband says best potato salad hes had.
Great home cooked breakfast. Staff work very hard to provide good service. The kitchen is unreasonably slow. A sign warns you at the front that it may take 45 mins. For the simple food theyre making, 40 mins for fried eggs is brutal. Maybe hire better and/or more kitchen staff. Sorry, its not good enough to just put up a sign and remain unreasonably slow. Otherwise I would give 5 stars. Very good hash browns, thick bacon, good eggs. Coffee is a little weak but kept topped up.
Clean friendly atmosphere and good food.
Everything was really good! Cute building, food and service was excellent!! Would highly recommend
Great little dinner, breakfast was good, home made hash browns were amazing, definitely recommend.
Friendly service, the staff bust their behinds to provide quality service even when theyre busy. The hashbrowns are on another level! Best breakfast spot in town! Vegetarian options: They have ham in their regular hashbrowns, but make vegetarian ones if you ask! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!
Genuinely do not understand how this place is rated so highly unless it was an off night. The soup was inedible, it was very salty. The (hot) turkey was overcooked and the gravy was lukewarm. Fries were homemade and probably the best thing I ate. Overall very subpar. Sign on front door mentions if it is full with customers, it will take up to 45 to 60 minutes. Waited easily 35 after soup was served with only 3 other tables. Waitress was nice, but not enough to save the meal.
Always great food and service
Great homemade food! Large portions. Great staff!
Review........ Food was great! ! 5 stars....... Atmosphere was nothing wonderful. Loud customers (no I did not want to hear about your colonoscopy). 2 stars....... Service very slow (you were not busy). If you drop dishes or cutlery please pick them up. 3 stars....... Value for the money. 2 stars....... Overall a generous 3......... Not likely to return!
I don t know of a better breakfast in town. The price, quality and, quantity of food is perfect. There is no wonder this business has been around for decades. If you want to be served on with a smile and eat well this place is a must. Food
Verobas has good homemade food. You can pre-order and eat in, which is practical if youre traveling through or on your lunch break. We stopped in for the breakfast and for $12 each we had 2 pieces of bacon, two eggs, 1 toast (not sure why they dont give 2), moist homemade hashbrowns with real pan-fried potatoes with ham and green onions in them. We were a bit disappointed that the hashbrown portion is smaller than they gave us last year when we were here. The coffee, which is included with the early bird special is too weak for us to enjoy (even the Keurig coffee in our room at the hotel is better). Breakfast is served until 11:15 am sharp. We stopped here another time and we ordered the juicy bacon mushroom burger with home cut fries. Of course we had to try the homemade pie, a bit pricey at $4.50 per slice. The restaurant is clean and homey.
Food is always great here - one of my go to morning date spots with my daughter :)
Food got to us quick and was excellent! Lots of space in between tables and very comfortable atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable.
Had soup and sandwich for lunch, it was real good. Homemade fries.
Breakfast sandwich was fantastic!
Consistently delicious. Great staff. 10/10
I never give a 10. Had a hard choice between steak sandwich or fettuccine Alfredo so I chose both. Darn good choice. I super recommend either of these dishes. Had to go back the second night, chose Salisbury steak. Again, it rocked. Another recommend. Next morning, had to try breakfast. Ham, green pepper & cheese omelette with a buttermilk pancake. The wife had a big breakfast plate. You must try either one, you cant go wrong. You will not be disappointed eating here. A 9/10.
We were in MooseJaw for the day doing some shopping and sight seeing and just happened to drive by Verobas as we were talking about getting lunch somewhere, we decided to stop after reading a few quick Google reviews that were 5 star. My gf has the veggie quesidilla and I had hot hamburger, the soup was chicken noodle. The food was all excellent! If I had to pick my favorite part I would honestly have a tough time between the soup and the homecut fried and gravy. We also appreciate a good cup of Java and we eat had 3 or 4 top ups. The service was spot on and we left with full bellies and a little sense of that small town home-cooked vibe. We will definitely be back. 5 stars for sure ~
Service isnt as friendly as it says. None of the waitresses smiled or even seemed happy to be there it was disappointing
Great little place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great homemade food at really good prices, which is hard to find these days. Will be back again.
Was recommended from a local barber. Loved the place. A perfect diner. Real food, home cooked. Great job. Portions were huge. Not over priced like the chain restaurants Food
My go to breakfast place for 16 years. Best benny around...still as good as ever. Best eggs benny around
The traditional breakfast comes with 4 large pieces of bacon, 2 eggs, toast, and their home-made hashbrowns and includes coffee for just $10.25. One of the best deals around.
The best place in Moose Jaw for breakfast and lunch. Great and friendly servers and wel prepared food. It can be a busy place but it worth the wait.
Good fresh made food, staf is very friendly. Always seats available even at rush hours.
Although my first experience was not the greatest since then I have tried this place again. I must say the breakfast does not dissapoint. They definitely hit it out of the park with their home made hashbrowns. The service is usually pretty solid and friendly. They are also pretty good with the coffee refills so over all I do enjoy coming here.
I was in and out in 15 mins, food was hot and tasted great, costed 21$ with a 10$ tip included, would highly recomend.
Amazing home cooked and tons of food
Our first time dining here. Very pleased with the food and the service.
Excellent service and good food.
So tasty! Great restaurant
Excellent breakfast take out or dine in. Reliably good home style food.
Great service. Pancakes were the best in a long time!! Kudos to Veroba s.
Awesome breakfasts!!! Home cooked very tasty
This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Now its become way more expensive then for the value. One of my favorite things was the club house . Now at 17 plus dollars it is not worth it .. the likely hood of going back is slim... Kid-friendliness: They have a menu for the kids and they treat the kids are well
Wonderful little restaurant, the waitress was awesome, the food was amazing! I totally recommend and am looking forward to going back!
Went for breakfast service was great food was excellent will definitely be back
Came in post lunch crowd on Easter Monday. Practically empty, all the better. Food was fantastic. I had a grilled cheese and homemade potato soup. She had sweet potato fries, which were pulled eye high. Would absolutely return.
Delicious food, big portions and at a good price. Definitely coming back.
This is my go to place! I ve been going here for as long as I can remember and it never disappoints. Hands down the best hashbrowns you can get anywhere !
Such great food
Love this diner!! Feels like a wonderful family restaurant. Amazing food and service!!
I went last night for supper,it was busy got our meal and two of us had a side Caesar salad, got our meal didnt get our Ceasars salads I asked for when I was half done and hoping he would bring the other Caesar salad he did not,so ask for the other caesar salad, one ordered chocolate milk got white milk so asked for a Choclate milk, ive never had a bad experience like this ever but probably wont go back and dont even get a apolize for the mistakes.
Food was good. Waitress was very nice.
Fine Dining at Harwoods (Temple Gardens) ? ? ? Verobas was the real Fine Dining ! The best food and service we have experienced in quite some time. It is an awesome old mom and pop restaurant, offering great tasting and large portioned meals. We had lunch and we had supper there on the same day, our anniversary.
My mother and I made Verobas our Saturday lunch destination. Nice place with a modern diner like feel. They were busy with lunch hour, but the service was quick. What I wanted wasnt on the menu I was given, so I asked if the dish was served here. It, in fact, was so liver and onions and bacon with side of fries and mixed vegetables it was, for both my mother and eye. Liver was a staple in our diet as youngsters, I have fond memories of it still. Over the years, several lunch dates with Mom failed in getting a well prepared liver meal from other restaurants in Moose Jaw. When the liver meals came to the table, they looked home cooked. They looked delicious and, in fact, were. Good liver is hard to come by, and finding someone to prepare it properly was equally as hard. Verobas nailed it! Both my mother and I loved the meal, and it tasted like long ago. The French fries, homemade, were excellent as well, and the side vegetables were properly cooked and tasted great. If this restaurant can cook liver this well, their other dishes must be fantastic. Ill be returning to this lunch destination over and over again for sure. Bravo Verobas!
My family and I love this restaurant, its become one of our Moose Jaw favs. Delicious home cooked food, friendly service, big portions and good variety.
Atmosphere leaves something to be desired but my god do they ever know to cook there....I havent been to every restaurant in Moose Jaw...but I feel like this is the best food in Moose Jaw. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and an environment you could bring kids to.
Great home cooking .very friendly staff will for sure eat there again
Amazingly tasty food
Very busy place for breakfast but worth the wait
Real family atmosphere
Found using maps and was definitely worth the stop!
Loved my breakfast in this place. A very big portion of food. If you are in Moose Jaw go to Veroba for breakfast.
This is what breakfast restaurants should be like. Family style, home cooking and relaxing.
This place is always busy at breakfast time. Sometimes you have to wait but it is worth it. The waitress works very hard to take the breakfast orders keep everyones coffee cup full. Food is tasty and hot. It is a small town environment and they make you feel welcomed. Prices are very reasonable too.
Food is awesome!
My favorite brunch place in Moose Jaw
Love this place. Great food, fantastic service.
Great little standard restaurant
Very friendly atmosphere and tasty food, we visited a year ago and I can still remember the flavours! We had the farmers breakfast
Great food and service! Come here at least once with every trip to MJ!
They advertise pierogi and cabbage rolls on their website. Needed some for a senior in hospital. Called them and was abruptly told they didnt have that. When i questioned that, they said only Wednesday. So I ordered the turkey dinner special...no senior size option and actually a bit pricey. Wont bother going there again.
Best patty melt EVER
Foods great homestyle offerings. Very flavourful! Good prices. Good service. Good portions! Its just a bungalow style house thats been remodeled to house a restaurant with dining area. Minimal decor, but very comfortable. Suffice to say that the place is always busy, with people waiting to go in. Parking: Theres a large grave parking lot in the rear of the building, which might not be easy to navigate with a wheel chair or walker. There is street parking in front, dependent on how busy the restaurant is.
A solid diner. The food tastes like your grandmother made it. I had a mushroom, bacon, and cheese omelette. Every bite was delicious. It came with a side of hashbrowns. I m an American, and apparently what Canadians call hashbrowns is different than what we are used to! :-) Basically it was soft potato cubes with some garnish. Also good. It s clearly a local joint with repeat customers. A very cozy, family-friendly place. Absolutely recommend.
The Benedict Omelette half sized was delicious. The hashbrowns were some of the best I ve ever had. Unfortunately the homemade cinnamon bun was a let down. It just wasn t as good as it was hyped up to be. Dry on the top half and hardened syrup on the bottom half. Service was prompt. I d definitely come back. Also, make sure you bring coins for street parking like the rest of downtown Moose Jaw. Parking: Paid with coin operated meter parking. Or you can walk about 3 blocks and park for free.
Nice breakfast. Were 15 minutes shy of the early bird breakfast which was a shame.. got the next early bird breakfast $1 more. Lol. Grilled hashbrowns w/green onion and ham was a treat. Served shortly being seated but waited about 20-25 minutes for a basic breakfast. Wasnt busy at time of our arrival but picked up after we were about to leave. Server took some time for coffee/tea refills but did joke with us abit which boosted her score with me. Disappointed that our server didnt ask us how our meal was during service.. nor did she come back and offer us anything food or beverage additional. Service 101 ugh. Parking: Difficult to find parking and only paid street parking was there. Wheelchair accessibility: Two doors to enter/exit.. one gentleman came in with wheelchair and had a difficult time entering.. not accommodating.
Busy place! Large portions! The homemade hashbrowns were so good! Celiac options! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!
Just a good old fashioned cafe with normal food. Breakfast is a must!
Super warming atmosphere, there was little to no wait getting seated. Staff handled the busy store very well and were very quick. Food was absolutely amazing, some of the best Eggs Benedict Ive ever had! Definitely recommend going here.
Amazing service and food, if you are looking for an enjoyable family restaurant Verobas is definitely it Food
Small praire town cafe environment, great service and even better home style cooking. Had a hot roast beef sandwich with more meat than bread and real milk-whipped mashed potatoes! Awesome! Kid-friendliness: Coloring books.
Best breakfast in town
Food was good and servers were friendly, just took a little longer than we would have liked.
My favorite place to stop when travelling through or staying at Moose Jaw. Intentionally make time to visit here for a gluten free breakfast! Great food and service! Love this place! Dietary restrictions: They are careful with gluten free dishes. So appreciate this! And the food is so tasty!
I have to say, my co-workers raved about this place and I felt like I needed to check it out. I was more than disappointed that it took 1.5hrs to have an omelette with hashbrowns served up. I saw no less than 3 tables who came in after me, order taken, eaten and gone. I even struggled to get my water refilled. I had an elderly lady sit with me. She ordered a breakfast sandwich.... Same issue. Took roughly 90min to have the food served and was almost impossible to get her coffee refilled. If this is your idea of customer service, you can bet I wont ever return. I will say that the food was hot and enjoyable... But it shouldnt take that long to have simple meals prepared. More attention needs to be placed on the customer service of everyone seated... Not just the ones who sit in the booths in the main path.
For a small family restaurant the breakfast is amazing with the hash brown
Our server was great. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the daily special, which was the Roast Beef Dinner which came with a dessert cookie. We also ordered the Salisbury steak entre. The both came with your choice of potato and a soup or salad. Parking: All parking paid parking. Either on the street or in the parking lot across the street. Free after 6pm. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no automatic door openers.
Good food, good portions, good service. What more can you want? Great homemade food Food
great food
Ive only had the opportunity to eat breakfast here but find it to be the best breakfast place in all of Saskatchewan
Always great food and service
Wonderful, freshly made food, great price and friendly staff made our experience so enjoyable, we went back again for our next meal.
Been here for breakfast a few times over the years and have never been disappointed! Really great staff and really great food. Definitely try and reserve a spot if youre going in for brunch, especially on a weekend!
Home cooked meals! Home town Diner!
Flew all the way from Dubai for the best food in Moose Jaw. Its great food...not fast food.
Great food great prices
We found the restaurant a safe and predictable choice for breakfast and Lunch,
Waitress was busy food was amazing.
The food is really homemade. The turkey gravy is the best ever. Service is exceptional. Atmosphere.. well who cares really. However, it could use an inside Renovation, for a perfect Score. The food available is all good, any choice is a good choice.
Great food, great service.
First time dining here! The service was great and the atmosphere perfect! The Hot Hamburg was awesome tasted just like home made! Definitely will be going back and try other items on menu Food
Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful when we come here. The hashbrowns are a must for breakfast, they are so good. Always appreciate the fast and helpful service, the ladies always bring a smile to your face. Thanks Verobas!
Things were slow to come out. Some things got missed. Food has definitely been better in previous visits. Things were quite bland unfortunately.
Took an hour to get eggs . Food was really good
Had a good homemade burger.
Great food and service, decent prices as well.
Amazing Breakfast! Large portions and great flavours! Highly Recommended
Exactly what was needed after a long day. It was like walking into a small town dinner and felt familiar. You dont come here for flashy gimmicks or the decor, you come here for the amazing service and delicious home cooked meals. Our party had the Verobas burger & chef salad, spaghetti & tomato sauce, hot hamburger with potatoes & green beans, pierogies & cabbage rolls, a side soup of the day (tomatoes noodle), and fries and gravy. Best tomato noodle soup Ive ever had! However...that being said.. the soup could have been served hotter... The fries and gravy at this place should be famous! Phenomenal crispness and flavour. Even the green beans with the entrees were amazing! Truly a fanta restaurant. Very glad we did not go with a larger chain restaurant. Places like this are a dying breed. Theres an atmosphere here that immediately takes one back to any small town restaurant in SK. Im now a loyal customer and cant wait to return the next time Im in Moose Jaw. Kid-friendliness: Was delighted to see they had a table with coloring books and activities for kids to use.
Best place to eat in moose jaw
Excellent food and service. A great steak and eggs.
The food was amazing even if breakfast ended at 11:15... imo breakfast should go to noon at least
If there is a Monte Christo on the menu - have to have it. It was by far the best I have EVER had in all the restaurants in all the provinces. REAL roast turkey(not deli meat) hands down top notch! I ll be back over and over.
Fantastic. Got the eggs Benny. Very tasty.
Unreal breakfast. So damn good.
Nice restaurant with good food. The breakfast I had was worth coming back for. The service was slow but the people were friendly.
The best breakfast. Mmmm.
The burger was excellent, good prices and friendly staff.
Used to live in town and always try to go here for breakfast or brunch when I m in town. Delicious food, good service and relaxed atmosphere :) The last few times I tried to set up a get together with family here the hours said it was open but they weren t open. Not sure if it s just coincidence but having that happen twice was annoying.
