Nigeria Restaurant and Bar. We serve Authentic Nigeria food, we give you the feel of home away from home.
None of us had experienced Nigerian food before. The food was tasty, nicely presented, and hot. Our server was the owner and she was totally lovely. She was patient with our questions, and made recommendations about our choices. The food came out of the kitchen quickly and was delicious. As well, the owner’s son was completely delightful. I would certainly my return to DeeBesties again. Thanks for coming to Moose Jaw and providing something different. I hope your business goes over well, and Moose Javians’ palates will be open-minded. Cheers!
Me and 10 others came here for dinner, every meal was cooked to perfection. The seasonings were excellent as well as the service . Everyone here is lovely. Make sure to leave room for dessert. We will definitely be back. Thank you .
The restaurant offered a delightful experience with its delicious, well-prepared dishes that showcased fresh ingredients and creative flavor. the service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout the meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a charming environment.
Well, apparently, my last review of this restaurant violated some google rules. I will make this shorter and sweeter. I ordered chicken. Reasonably priced with reccomended side of yam fries which I ordered. My yam fries showed up and failed to impress. Dry and tasteless. Then my chicken showed up and was sitting in a pool of blood. The bill then showed up, and apparently, the yam fries were not an included side. They were a $26 side dish. $2.68 a fry, which were so dry they sucked all the moisture out of my mouth, which was hard to rehydrate as they had zero sugar-free drinks other than tap water. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was willing to step out of my comfort zone and now remember why we have comfort zones.
There was one other group when we arrived. That should have been our cue. The server was friendly, but not very attentive or informative when we had clearly never been or had knowledge of the cuisine. When we did ask her for assistance, she got confused and ended up ordering an additional meal for our table. Two of our party had chicken that was undercooked and one of them had blood on the plate and was sent back. His meal was replaced with the ‘extra’ meal we had just sent back. An option to accompany the chicken was yam fries…. These were a bit underwhelming given the price; 9 yam fries for $26. It was also unclear that you would have to pay the $26 for the 9 fries if you had it as the side to the grilled chicken We do try to support local or non-franchise restaurants but I have to say, this was not a great experience.
Although my food was cooked one member of our group sent back their chicken as it was bleeding on the plate. Bleeding chicken is clearly not cooked. A second member consumed their chicken even though it was definitely pink. It should have been sent back. We somehow confused the server, who was very nice but not particularly attentive. As a result of her confusion (we asked questions about the dishes), we ended up getting a completely extra meal. She did not ask for clarification when she realized that there was a completely extra meal ordered. The yam fries are suggested as a side to accompany the grilled chicken. Those yam fries are $26 for 9 very dry fries (the accompanying sauce is awesome). One of said 9 fries was a distinctly different colour than the rest. There was a single can of coke and no sugar free options except water. We each got a single glass of water and were never asked again if we wanted more. The restaurant is extremely quiet—although it was supper time, and all other restaurants in the vicinity were full, this one was virtually empty. When the music was on, it was more pleasant. Unfortunately the alarms for the doors (front and back) were sounding regularly.
We were there for supper prior to attending a concert. The waitress, although pleasant, wasn't too attentive. The didn't have any diet pop. The yam fries were $23 for 9 fries, but the sauce was great. We received one raw chicken leg, but for the size of the leg $6 wasn't bad. Overall, for $125 for 4 people, the price wasn't bad, but the meals themselves were subpar.
I travelled to many parts of the world and am truly delighted to find a world class restaurant in MJ. You’re transported to Nigeria with the atmosphere and the food is to die for, especially the Brownies. I ate many high class restaurants brownies and this is truly the best. The owner and wait staff was warm and friendly. A definite place to come back to feel welcomed. I even got a good laugh with the sign in the washroom I couldn’t resist posting.
Nice and cozy vibe, the food was delicious.
Had the jollof rice with pepper chicken it was very good! 10/10 on my first try of Nigerian food! Will definitely be going back
Delicious authentic food. Reasonable prices. Loves the atmosphere, very friendly, and inviting.
Food was delicious, be careful of the spice level!
Their Okro stew was super . I really enjoyed it . I will always recommend it for Okro lovers .
Food came out cold and took over an hour and half for an appetizer tray. Very expensive for small portions. Was overcharged for drinks make sure to look at your bill. Nice ambience and server are the redeeming factors but would not recommend.
The food was delicious, they have a pool table for some entertainment while waiting. The server is a very nice guy and you can tell the food is made with passion. Delicious
I like the vibe here, and I like the workers here and there really nice too

This was so good. The staff and owner are very friendly.
We were there for the grand opening, food was delicious. Save room for dessert, best brownie I ve ever eaten. And the buns to start were excellent.
The food is so good. I d recommend the jollof rice, meat pie and the bread. If you re not Nigerian, you ll get a feel of the country with the art displayed around. If you re Nigerian, prepare for the nostalgia.
The food is amazing and the staff are great definitely my new favourite place in Moose Jaw
Such a unique new spot in Moose Jaw! It feels like we have been transported to Nigeria. A lovely personal touch with a menu explanation and you can feel the passion they have for each dish.
A friend and I ordered 2 meals, a snack and a dessert! Our food was delicious and better than expected. However, I was told the rice would be very spicy (I LOVE spice) it was not what I expected but others may and did think its spicy. I was given a special blend and I Amel extremely excited for returning and using the proper spice for such a delectable meal!!!
What a surprise to find this world class restaurant in MJ. Perfectly executed, superb quality, complex flavours, generous dishes and just so ridiculously yummy. Lovely, knowledgeable folks made the visit so special. Thank you!
Excellent food and very attentive service. This was my first time eating Nigerian food and it was delicious. Vegetarian options: They were happy to adapt the dishes for a vegetarian in our party. Dietary restrictions: They were careful about gluten.
First time having Nigerian food and the jollof rice with chicken and shawarma were delicious. Very attentive service.
Very welcoming restaurant. We are glad we gave it a try. It is right next to the Moose Jaw Tunnels so easy to find!
Walked in and felt like I was in a different country with the music and welcoming staff. Many varieties of food to choose from Food
