It just isnt what it once was.

Skip order, forgot to pack the ribs with the order, salad was wilted and brown, fries were socggy, staff member was very evasive . Would not recommend this place to anyone

What a horrible experience. Food was oké but the ambiance was horrible. There were some very loud and rude people drinking, burping and swearing in the restaurant section who def made sure that everyone else in the restaurant heard them. It became clear that the rude people were friends with one of the waitresses who kept feeding them drinks and joined them several times at the same loud level. Never coming back here.

Thats for our last visit. The Moose Jaw Location can be hit or miss. Our last meal was enjoyable so will go back.

Updated Amanda reached out that they have cleaned. And the floors have also been. Thank you! Please do some cleaning the table we sat at the wall is dirty with food the floor has grease that my shoe easily slides. The decorations and lights need a good cleaning.

Took my daughter to Montanas for her birthday she got a birthday dessert, but the waitress seemed like she didnt want to sing happy birthday to my 17 year old daughter she just got a dessert no birthday song or the hat with the horns that was the whole point in going to Montanas what a disappointment

Be aware they have paper straws if youre not a liberal go to Boston pizza they have plastic straws!!

I havent been to Montanas since soon after they opened. Our server/bartender Brett made us feel like they wanted us to be there. After this experience it wont be years before Im back Im not sure who is Bretts boss but that young lady deserves a raise.

The food was delicious! However, our server Lisa made our experience not so marvellous. Two of us at the table are servers at other restaurants and know the decorum a server should have. The service we received fell incredibly short of that bar. When greeting our table Lisa not only did not greet us well (short, felt rushed, did not make us feel welcome to be there), but throughout the meal instead of pausing at our table to make sure we were doing okay she would simply ask us doing okay? As she walked by. If we wanted something in the 10 seconds she was walking by our table we had to be on our toes to catch her. While this was disrespectful, it was not the kicker that made us leave this review. During payment time was when we felt completely disregarded. During payement time, she left the machine with us to clean tables, and in coming back her personal phone started ringing in her pocket. Instead of continuing to assist our table she left the table to take the call. I would have understood if there was an emergency and we were told but this is a little rude and disrespectful to us as this was not communicated. Finally, when a friend said I don t need the change her response was oh no. I ll get it for you and walked away. We left the table feeling shocked at the experience. As I said before, as two of us are in the service industry we are super lenient with servers as we know how hard the job can be. Maybe she was just having an off day, sure, but that should not mean basic curtesy to customers is jeopardized. We love Montanas but honestly after this experience we likely won t be back.

Wife and I had a great meal at the MooseJaw location. Bret was our waitress and was amazing. She always came by to check on us. We both would definitely recommend. Cheers to the kitchen staff as well. Our food was delicious and nice and hot.

Ordered a steak medium rare. It was rare and hard to chew. Kinda like rubber. I showed it to the waitress and she didnt seem to care. One of the worst steaks Ive ever had. My jaw was sore afterward. Ive had ribs there. Stick to the ribs is my advice.

Went to Montana s for my bestie s birthday meal. Our server, Connor, was awesome! He gets a 15/10. Kept our drinks topped up and our all-you-can-eat ribs coming. Personality plus and excellent service couldn t ask for better!

Was in tonight to have my birthday supper with a friend. Our server Connor was amazing. Very friendly and attentive, had us laughing out loud, kept the all-you-can-eat ribs coming and even got me my birthday treat after kitchen was technically closed. While the ribs were delicious, I wish there was a milder choice of bbq sauce without honey; but that s just me Joking with Connor made the evening truly memorable.

If you are a Montana s fan, this location is a good one. Great atmosphere, service and food is particularly good. Had the southwest chicken bowl. All though a relatively small portion, it was very good.

Food was good, consistent with all Montanas locations. Atmosphere again the same. The restaurant was clean, the furniture is warn with the vinyl worn almost completely off the seat I was sitting in. Now, the service. The service was attentive - but very unfriendly. The wait staff would ask a question and be halfway across the restaurant before you had time to answer. My wife wasnt finished her meal - close but not fully finished and the waitress walked by and grabbed her plate right from underneath her. So if you dont mind unfriendly but efficient service, you wont mind this place.

Havent been to Montanas in at least a year or two. Was pleasantly surprised with the food and service! Ordered steak, fries and coleslaw while my mom had the ribs and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked as ordered and seasoned nicely. My mom was happy with her food too (a part from the dry cornbread - she went to break it in half and it fell into a pile of crumbs haha). Tamara was our server. She was pleasant, checked in a few times throughout service, and kept our drinks topped up.

Food was good, service was slow considering there was hardly anyone in there and the dark haired female bartender who was serving us was extremely impatient and rude. When we received our bill I was a bit surprised to see I was charged $8 a beer for my $5 coor s light beers. When I asked her about it I was told it was my fault for not specifying I wanted the $5 beers (I don t work there, how would I know? It listed Coor s Light as one of the $5 draught specials, that s why I ordered them). It wasn t really about the money it was more that I was mislead or not offered / asked if I wanted a certain size, and the fact that I was told it was my fault for not asking. Pretty disappointing.

Traveling thru with the RV we wanted a nice meal. We were sadly disappointed in the service. Slow to be seated, waited longer than usual to have our drink ordered, tremendously long to get our tea, then dinner came without any fork, knife or napkins we had to ask, then she handed us 2 forks & 2 knives bunch up in her hand gave them to 1 person at our table then forgot the napkins. We had no service afterwards when we asked for more hot water for tea she never returned then we asked for our bill, she forgot, then we had to ask again for our bill. They were rude, the place was almost empty and their excuse was another table with 15 people?? Whos fault is that? Certainly NOT the customers the food was good enough to make this long day of travel nice, sure wished Montana staff would have cooperated, been nice, helpful instead of excuses. I left $1 as a tip. Never will we return to this franchise, thats too bad, we are traveling full time, and Montana you lose our business.

Took my husband there for his birthday... sat in the bar too almost 20 imin before the waitress too our order .. steaks were wrong temperature and when we told her she argued with us,, the manager took my husbands streak off the bill...but we continued to get attitude and poor service from the waitress who put her armpit over my drink. Needless to say I left no tip.

Montana s has gotten so so much better in the last while - our new go to spot. The service is great- our waitress, Kelsey, is always fab - literally remembered my drink order from 2 weeks ago. The food has been top notch! Has made a total turn around! Give it a go if you ve not been in a while

Came in at 9:05pm on a sat night, we wanted to order Ribs, but the waitress said the kitchen closes at 9:30. We were told we couldnt order those, and had to choose something different. I feel there was enough time to get what we wanted. But the answer was No.

This place used to be really nice but it s dropped dramatically from what it was. It was rather dirty also and the waitress seemed rather overworked.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here today. We each had a 10 oz steak, which was cooked to perfection. However the fries and onion rings arrived at room temperature. We mentioned it, and the manager promptly brought fresh fries and onion rings within a few minutes. Because of the inconvenience and the fact it was our anniversary, we were also served a free chocolate cake dessert. Very classy move by the manager and staff. Very much appreciated the quick fix with meal, and the dessert was wonderful.

We had called ahead to check and see if they could accommodate 10 kids and 12 or so adults for lunch. It was a Sunday and the person on the phone said it wouldn t be a problem as they were slow at the time of our call (11:45am) and that they didn t anticipate a busy lunch rush. We had 2 hours to have a meal before we had to take the kids back to their tournament which we thought would be plenty of time. The server took our drink order about 10 mins after we came in. It took another 10 mins to get our drinks and even then, some drinks were missed. She finally took our order about 30-40 mins after we had arrived. She determined whose kid belonged to which parent by what jersey # the kid has so the food would be separated properly (good idea if this had worked out for the server). We watched the time and other patrons coming in and noticed that others had received their food before us and were leaving before some of us had even received an appetizer (or even the drinks they had ordered at the start of all of this). Super long story short, we watched about 3-4 tables that came long after us get their food and their bills and be gone before any of the kids got to eat. When one of the adults asked the server what was going on and let her know that the kids had to be back for their games at 2pm, she very abruptly snipped back at her that the food was ready and it was coming. At this point, it is 1:35 - 1:40pm most of the kids had their food, 2 adults had their food. She began bringing out food that didn t belong to us and what did belong to us was either cold, dry and, in one case, burnt. 2 parents ended up leaving because it s now almost 2pm and they had to get back to their tournament. At the end of all of this, while she was trying to figure out and separate the bill, the server quipped at the remaining parents that if you had just pre-ordered, there wouldn t have been these issues . Doubt it sassy pants. We saw 2 servers and not once did the other server give her a hand. Anyways, would not recommend this particular Montana s location

I had a horrible experience here, the food was served 1 hour late and was cold. Waiters were ok but were not organized.

Ive been here twice and both times they were severely understaffed. The owners clearly need to hire additional workers instead of having a single waitress taking care of the whole restaurant. Side note - waitress was great

We visited Montanas the other night with my parents and 2 year old. Did not seem very busy but food took a long time. Half of us got our food about ten minutes before the rest, and the people that got food it was cold. My toddler was last to get her food, and it was super hot that we had to let it cool before she could eat. She never got her carrot sticks with her fries. We are not local, and were visiting for holidays to treat my parents to a night out and we will not go back. Disappointed for sure. Service was okay at best. Server seemed nice but also seemed lost. She forgot to ask for my drink order and needed to come back when giving out everyone elses drinks to see what I wanted. I assume this was a bad night at the restaurant because the people beside us asked for a refund. Hopefully a one off!

Great food and even better service at Montanas in Moose Jaw. The lady that waited on our table, Johanna, was one of the best waitress weve ever had. Our drinks didnt run out, she was courteous, friendly and polite. She made our dining experience great.

We recently dined at Montanas with our hockey team and parents, a reservation of 45 people. The food was prepared quickly and accurately and the service was great. We would highly recommend Rosie and Jo and the staff at Montanas Moose Jaw!

Dont recommend, to bring me a glass of water took them ONE HOUR, its cold inside an Im here little more than one hour and my order is not ready yet, if streets would be be open now I would leave right away

Good Food and Great Staff - Angela is very good at her job and comes around to see how we are doing at just the right times. Including to see how the meal is just after we have started to eat. One of the first things we noticed is that the volume of the music goes down as the restaurant fills up. Conversations arent competing to be heard over the music. We have only been a few times, but each time we were seated & served quickly. Had an issue once with our food but that was addressed immediately when we brought it to their attention. Parking: Lots of Free Parking Kid-friendliness: Each time we go there are always children, in all age ranges. Noted that waitstaff takes time to interact with the children, not just helping them in their ordering.

Montanas makes for a great place to have dinner with friends.

Rosie was an excellent server today, making sure that my food allergies were accommodated. The burger I had was exceptional and the sauce was OMG good. My dining partners looked like they were enjoying their meals and the silence while we were eating said it all. Parking: This location is part of a strip mall and at this time of day it is very quiet. Kid-friendliness: Saw and heard kids enjoying there time.

Rosie was an excellent, friendly server who had excellent timing. She made sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent! Dietary restrictions: There are gluten-free options on the menu, and the staff will bring these items to the table separately.

Our server was non existent. Other servers couldn t be bothered to answer a simple question like where is our server . Food was good but server did not check on us once. Didn t ask for scene card and mixed up our bill. All kinds of apologies and excuses but no reparations. Will not be going back. Please give the lousy tip to the kitchen. It s for them not you.

Service was super slow, were seated right away, ordered drinks and appetizers, appetizers came before we got out drinks, finally got out drinks and waited another 40 minutes for our other food. Right before our food came we had ordered another 2 drinks which didnt arrive until we were basically Done our meal and didnt even want them anymore. Waited for a our bill never came, so we went to other side to pay our bill so we could leave! A 2 hour dinning experience that could have been way less! The food was good though even though my burger wasnt what I ordered!

Slow service, sat for 20 minutes before server came over and then was served cold food 45 minutes later, simple order of wings fries and a steak. Not what I have come to expect from Montanas, the manager did discount the meal, as a compensation.

Complete Amateur Hour. Restaurant was not even 1/3 filled and we had disorganized staff, multiple servers to our table not communicating, completely missed a meal order, over cooked food, no food check ins or drink top ups from any servers, or one server got snappy with us over the multiple issues. By the time we said we had had enough we asked for the bill and waited an additional 20 minutes for the bill. We were nothing but courteous and just trying to have a nice family dinner. Reginas Montanas are an experience. This place was just problematic.

Terrible experience. Never had such bad service. The staff just walked away. One of the waitresses was incredibly rude and told me we weren t her table so wouldn t help us. No one apologized for missing an order until I spoke with (maybe) a manager after I went and found her because no one came to our table. The restaurant was maybe a third full. Kids food was terrible so I had to get them McDonald s afterwards. Never had our waters refilled. No one checked on us. I debated just walking out because I had to chase someone down just to pay for our meal. We normally love Montana s back home so thought it would be a great meal. It was just so so bad. I will never go back and if I can stop just one person from wasting their time and money by going here than this review will be worth it.

Our food was actually quite good and our waitress really did her best. The 3/5 for service is because she was literally the only one running around. She did great, but management shouldn t leave one server alone. Also, the card machine was very hard to use. Parts of the touch screen were not working and required a lot of effort to get to work.

Facility very open and clean with many booths. Staff friendly and cordial. First time at a Montanas restaurant. Had the ribs - not as good as Texas Road House in the U.S.. the wet naps for the ribs are of excellent quality.

Made a big delivery order for 10 people. About half the food came way overcooked, the other half was good (acccording to the people who ate it). My ribs were like chewing a boot. Pretty much inedible.

Excellent food and service Edit:*Went there again last week with family. Wait time is quite longer than usual because according to the waitress, they are understaffed at the moment. We understand that but it ended up that the some of the chicken wings still have blood in the middle. We just tried to understand the situation knowing they lack staffs at the moment and we had a good experience before. Hope it wont happen again on our next visit.

Used to go here all the time the past 3 times we have went it s been a terrible experience! I feel this past year it s gotten bad! I m not one to complain about anything but I think head office needs to do some work on this location! Staff is always good and place is clean! But the food is another story Atleast 4-6 times we went and Atleast 4-5 things on the menu they didn t have or ran out of. The menu is slim as it is! So we had to order different things which made it expensive the one time we went we waited 45 minutes for a sever to come bring us drinks and another 15 for her to take our order we were almost there 2.5 hours for 3 people! There was maybe 10 people in there at this time! Would love to come back but disappointed I like to give places more chances and we have but none have been great

Waited for half an hour to be seated a group of 15 came in after us and was seated way before us (two). Finally got seated and the table was dirty waited for HALF AN HOUR more not being even looked at. Was maybe at half capacity and we re not impressed. Won t be going back.

This was our first time at this location, and first time at Montanas in over a decade. Food was great, restaurant was clean and attractive, waitress was fabulous. Adriana was our waitress, she was fun and had great menu recommendations - especially the sweet potato fries and chocolate cake. Well be back!

Wosrt ever customer service, waited for 15 mins still no one cares why someone is stand at reception wosrt customer service worst attitude of people working there . We need to call someone to get our attention
