Quite silly to have a restaurant open to the public and yet have no cook on staff during business hours

Worst Beef Dip I have ever had - so dried out. How old was this beef?? My wife s chicken dish was not great either. This restaurant is not up to Smitty s standards in terms of food quality. The only good comment I have was the service.

Not usually one to say something, but this was a horrible experience! Went out as a family, daughter s fries were still frozen and when I told the waitress all she said was okay and left it at that. My oldest daughter s hashbrowns were rubber and tasted like cardboard. I ordered myself the country fried chicken and the potatoes were cold, the meal had absolutely no flavour at all! Personally my family will never be returning to this restaurant. The wait staff couldn t care less if there really is a problem and the business itself does nothing to fix the problems happening. Over $100 for just absolutely horrid food!

Clean friendly atmosphere, friendly courteous staff

Was only there for a coffee visit. The young waitress was very pleasant and came around to see if we needed anything often. Very pleased.

Simply awful, awful food, awful service and filthy dirty run down facilities. Avoid!

Something puzzles me about all the bad reviews. If the food was as bad as the reviewer stated, why not take a picture of it and include it with the post? No one has done it. A picture would offer some proof, right? Personally, Ive come here several times and I really cant find anything of significance to complain about. I just wish they would be open later as I truck and cant always make it in earlier. Maybe staffing shortages have something to do with it

Worst Dining experience ever! If you want your sausage fondled by the waiters hands this is the place to go. Took 45 mins for 1 egg and bacon.. came with sausage on plate.. when notified that was not to have waiter picked it up with his hands and put on another guests plate.. Speechless

We stopped with my sons hockey team. Service was terrible, even though we reserved. Then, when I finally got my food. It was wrong, so I said, I didnt order sausage, the waiter literally stuck his bare hand on my plate and removed the sausage.... and then proceeded to put them on another persons plate of food. Eewwwwww!!!

If I could give zero Stars they would the owner here is completely outrageous stay away

Good food, great service, and most foul washroom ever.

Worst Ever. Food was overcooked, pancakes and eggs were cooked on a dirty grill, sauce was suppose to be yellow and it was brown, lumpy and thick. Bathroom were absolutely disgusting, so dirty. Will never go there again. Usually Smittys is good, so sad.

We had to wait a while to get seated, so did the people in front of us, nobody was around or paying attention. Wasn t busy. The food was old and dry, the waitress walked past our tablet hand full of times not asking how things were, no drink refills. Wasn t pleased and wont be back.. disappointing!

Worst food weve ever had at a Smittys. Beef dip comes out with no sauce, when we asked for the sauce that was supposed to be on the sandwich (garlic aioli) they brought out some 12 grain Dijon mustard and tried to say it was garlic aioli. My chicken tasted like lemon cleaner chemicals, and my rice was mush tapioca pudding. While we were thinking about the food poisoning we would no doubt have, another table was sending back their food because there was a staple in their eggs.

I had lunch there today meatballs with pasta. The meatballs were cold and some of the pasta was burn black at the bottom. It was totally disgusting. My two guests had the breakfast meals. The place appeared to be filthy, the bathroom was untouchable, so with these atmospheric tell-tale signs, how could the food possibly be any more sanitary? My suggestion is that the Moose Jaw Board of Health should definitely investigate this one

I have never made a bad review on a restaurant before but people need to know how bad this restaurant has went down hill. It s the worst food I ve ever had at a restaurant. The turkey on my clubhouse was so dry and this terrible grey colour with only two pieces of dry toast with nothing on it. My boyfriends eggs Benedict had a weird clear film on the ham and burnt hash browns that could have broke a tooth.. The washrooms were absolutely disgusting, I plan to never return. I m genuinely disturbed smittys is charging money for their service.

Do not recommend dining at this location. Hot egg breakfast delivered look warm eggs with cold bacon served on greasy bottom plate. Their traditional clubhouse sandwich comes with turkey and bacon no ham. I asked for cheese extra charge which is fine but the server took down the order wrong even though she had her pen and pad. The only apology you will get is am sorry oh and the mayo in the sandwich tasted old and off felt I ll the next morning. If I could I would give this joint 0 stars

Worst Salisbury steak Ive ever had. Burnt meat and onions and dried out fries with cold vegetables. Filthy place and washrooms were horrible. Do NOT go there for a meal.

Excellent food and great staff. This is my Saturday morning go to place for breakfast. Omelets in particular are very good.

Its better than the average on the service road. Staff is great and I enjoy the food that I get. Price is average as well. Lots of parking. You can get fuel on the way out as well. A convince store in the same building and a truckers lounge in the back. As well as a card lock fuel station for the truckers. Vegetarian options: Vegan burger available

Service wasnt the greatest. Never even asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Food was sub par, very different then other smittys weve been too. Menus arent correct especially when it comes to kids deserts etc. Ordered a caeser and could hear the lady yelling how to make it and she kept saying we dont have that over and over, she finally came out with what looked like pure clamato and vodka. Cut my foot under a booth. Wont be back to this location.

The Resturant customer service is great! Though they appear a bit understaffed and the table servers are juggling a lot of patrons ... and the do it very well in a courteous and friendly manner. The food is very good and servings are generous. It is also part of a truck stop and a lot of the customers are truck divers or families travelling. So the service is relatively quick and meals are typically fresh and hot! One serious concern is the state of the washrooms ... which are shared with the gas station. They are in terrible condition, filthy and poorly maintained! If you can possibly wait ... use the restrooms at the next truck stop (next door). Do not let your children use the washroom. (Yes .. it is that bad!) Bottom line ... great Restaurant .. bad washroom facilities. I suspect that is because they are shared with the gas station and no one is taking responsibility for the maintenance, custodial services and routine housekeeping!

Just a great place to get an affordable breakfast with family and friends. Service is always friendly....just hope they restock the Hazelnut coffee creamers.....lol

Other than the washroom, this place was fabulous today. The signs ask truckers to use the truckstop washroom, and that would help a bit, but the truckers need access to more toilets in that area because if someone is showering it dominates the toilets available. The restaurant shares washroom with the convenience store too so it needs better facilities as well.

The food was decent. The place was clearly understaffed for a Saturday morning, however those who were working tables kept up. Friendly atmosphere. The restaurant itself looks aged and drabby. Dont let looks fool ya.

Would have given a 5. Food and service was fantastic. Bathrooms should be cleaned and updated/painted. Poop on one of the mens stalls. Garbage over flowing, counter, sink, & mirror dirty. Both mens and womens were pretty dirty and smelt horrid.

Always decent food

Very unhygienic. If they pay this much attention to the general cleanliness then how good could the food be! Save yourself the trouble of intestinal issues and just dont patronize this establishment. Who knows what else you may contract here.

Good wholesome food

Maybe when the sign says youre open till 10:00 PM you should stay open till 10:00 PM. This is one of the few restaurants around here that a driver can get that doesnt close ridiculously early, I stopped here at 9:00 and it was closed. I hope one day you work all day with nothing to eat and the restaurant you can get to closed early, now go to bed hungry. I will never be back. This isnt the first time this has happened, I will tell everyone I know to not bother stopping and supporting your business.

Cold meal. This same meal they attempted to convince the guests, that it was a home cooked meal. Which was in fact just a microwave meal thrown in and served to the guest who are then charged twice as much for a cheap meal. Not impressed.

I understand things are slow right now but your bathroom was a disaster and the cleaning checklist on the door was dated the 8th, over a week ago.

The food is always good when me and my family eat their. But now expect taxes for each separate meal.

Friendly service, food is ok.

Good friendly service, but the food was awful and terribly overpriced, I paid $16 for a half decent sized plate of microwave pasta that was warm in the center and cold on the outside. That plate was worth maybe $8 if someone was being nice about it. Then to top it all off, there were cockroaches all around the outside of the building and as i walked by scurried into the restaurant as no care is obviously taken on pest extermination, I can only guess at what is going through the kitchen.

Stopped for dinner, my server was upset I asked for a booth. The food was bland. I had spaghetti and meatballs. The Cesar salad had no taste neither did the spaghetti. I think the meatballs were the only thing with taste.

Very disappointed overall. We were in on Saturday evening for a meal. Not overly bad food, very quick and our waitress prompt and efficient . Thought we would try it again while passing through today, New Year s Day. The service from our waitress was very slow and our food (lasagna) was the special...horrible presentation! You could tell it was not fresh at all and I swear it was microwaved. Our waitress on New Year s Day should have stayed in bed as she had absolutely no personality or care, not busy at all and we waited some time for our and the table across from us order to be taken while she stood in a daze! ! I also have to say the washroom cleanliness is to be desired and the dust build up on your planters should really be looked at! I own a restaurant myself and this quality of food and service was one of the worst I have encountered in some time! Hats off to the waitress who served us the first night as well as the little oriental girl who seated us this afternoon and brought our drinks. I believe some extra pride should be taken by the kitchen staff as well as today s waitress.

Best beef patty i ever had in Canada !! I ordered soup before, but if id known they serve almost a whole cow i would have skipped the soup !! Soup, coffee and a platter, plus a full refill and i payed only 17C$ and i added a tip. Cant give 6 stars otherwise i would! Just great place!!

Our group was seated and served promptly. I had the meat lovers skillet. I asked for the shredded hash-browns instead of the cubed ones and it was very yummy! It had lots of ham, bacon and sausage. Ive been told by the others at my table that the coffee is good too.

Not impressed,I ordered a spinach and Swiss omelette! I told the lady to make sure there is no tomato on this omelette,because I have an allergy! The omelette comes to my table covered in tomatoes

Truly the WORST meal I have had while on the road in the past 2 weeks. We had to ask for cream for our coffee 3 times and by then the coffee was cold. The server did not bring cutlery. The very expensive cobb salad was a mound of cheap iceberg lettuce, rock hard avocado, imitation bacon and forgotten blue cheese. Waste of $50. My rating is NO STARS but such is not my choice.
