124 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3J7, Canada
Unpretentious joint with a menu of Thai standards, some Chinese items & Canadian fare like burgers.
I always get the #12 beef I'm not sure what's it called but I call it the hot soup, and I always pay extra for the hot chillies I told them too make it really spicy that it's usually not hot enough that's why I get the spices as well, he asked me if I tried tai hot and I said no but I'll take it..... it is so spicey I have not used any spices I bought it is so good! Very good service and food comes piping hot every, and for 18 dollars you get alot of food, ive had 4 of these in the last month and I can't get enough.
Probably the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Friendly server. Will visit again next time I’m in Moose Jaw.
Bursting with authentic flavor. Satay chicken is yummy!
I love Nit's Thai food and have to get the #11 Chicken Satay every time I'm in Moose Jaw. The peanut sauce is to die for, and the chicken is mouth watering. Highly recommend!
Had the Beef Laab spicy 4/5 heat! Taste like homemade. Authentic and yummy. Recommend this delicious dish. Just too bad they don’t offer Sticky Rice. ( hint hint ) Will definitely return when we come back to MJ
I ordered takeout without having heard of this place beforehand, and I am only upset that I didn’t find out about this place sooner! First of all, quantity is crazy, be careful opening your boxes because they are PACKED to the top. Quality? My jaw is on the floor. We already can’t stop talking about ordering from here again. What we thought would make enough for 1 meal fed us for 3 days.
Every time we visit Moose Jaw, we always make it a point to eat at NITS Thai food. We love the authentic Thai food here. Service is great, the serving sizes are worth the price. The atmosphere also takes you to Thailand. Our favorite is always the Guy Satay, that chicken is the best. On this visit we also tried the Ca'ow Pud which was fried rice with beef and Neu'a Pud (Stir Fried Beef in Coconut milk with Thai Spices). Both were very good, the stir fried beef had a spicy kick that we liked. Totally recommend you visit this in Moose Jaw when you want to try Thai food.
A few days ago, my friend and I came here for lunch and ordered beef, pork and frog leg. I especially recommend frog leg (the highest spicy degree). The taste is very good. It is very rare to find a very delicious Asian restaurant in this small town (by the way, most Asian restaurants are not open that day). I will visit this place again
Horrible experience and we encourage you to go elsewhere! We drove into Moose Jaw to try this resturante on a Sunday early evening, around 530. We stood near the hostess station nearly 5 minutes before our presence was even acknowledge by the most surly, unpleasant man. After he barely glanced at us, leaving us just standing three; he finally barked at us that if we planned on staying to eat it would be at least an hour before we would be seated and even longer to get any food! Important to note that there was no line behind us, no line in front of us and only 2 other couples sitting at tables in this dark, dingy , dumpy place. He clearly did not want us to stay and he was so rude and snarky to us, that he made us uncomfortable, so we quickly decieded to leave and take our business elsewhere! We STRONGLY encourage you to avoid this resturante!
Got a few things here at 530 on a Sunday night. No people, a little dark, but friendly service. Ordered the laab, pad Thai and tom yum. I enjoyed the laab, very fresh flavors 4/5. Tom yum soup tasted like water, galangal, lemongrass with tomyum paste added. It was salty, mildly spicy water with mushrooms and chicken inside, however the portion size was good 2/5. Onto the pad Thai.. Orange, mushy, no bean sprouts, no flavor and very little meat. Another large portion, so if youre hungry at least it will fill you up.. 1/5. I heard great things about this restaurant from friends in Regina when they tried it years ago.. I think its gone downhill from what I tried.
Excellent food, incredible service. Would give 10 stars for service if I could.
Yummy beef with rice
Love the food here!
Friendly and helpful staff, accommodated our toddler without a fuss! Most importantly, the food was delicious - proper Thai seasoning and high-quality ingredients.
After receiving a recommendation to try this place we were all very dissapointed. The service was so strange... our waitress told us she didnt actually work there... we wanted to have a drink but there was no beer available. Nor pepsi/coke.. found that super strange. The atmosphere was dirty and dingy. The food was sub-par.. got the giant spring roll which was not good. Pho was really terrible. Overall just not a good experience.
Absolutely astonishing
Great experience- top notch service, and delicious food!
Great food and portions.
Deep fried beef and trout are definitely worth trying
Worst Thai food Ive ever had. Pad Thai was instant Ramen noodles with ketchup. All dishes were poor.
Some of the best Thai food I ve ever had. The atmosphere is quaint and quirky, great retro vibes. You can tell they use fresh spices and all the dishes we tried were very clearly homemade with love. Highly recommend the spring/salad roll lots of fresh cabbage and cilantro with lovely seasoned pork inside. And the curry dish I had came with the loveliest fresh fluffy rice. Would highly recommend!
We have been going to Nits for years! The food is fantastic! We order a bunch of different dishes so we can all taste them. Our favourites include #35 Beef Salad and their chicken satay. There are lots of choices and you can choose mild to spicy! The service was great tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. I would recommend this to anyone!
Nits Thai Food is always so ridiculously good. Easily one of the best restaurants around Moose Jaw and Regina. We got the #12 with seafood and the #23 with shrimp and cashews, both were fantastic. We also got appetizer #2. Had never tried it before, but it was amazing. Will definitely order it again! Im always excited to go to Nits. I hope theyre around for many more years.
Great beef noodle soup. Authentic, spicy and delicious. I love the spot with the mirror. Its where I sit every time with my family to get a little piece of Thailand. The owners go back to Thailand every few years to get the spices they use for their dishes.
Obsessed with the chicken pad Thai! Superb EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!!
Tasty food and large portions for an affordable price. Our sever was friendly and fun. Parking: Metered parking right in front. Coin operated Wheelchair accessibility: Street level entry. Washroom access may be an issue. .
Good food and large portions Kid-friendliness: They provided coloring stuff to keep the kids busy. Food : 4/5 |
Used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in all of Saskatchewan. Unfortunately when I went this time we saw two cockroaches in our booth. One was on the soy sauce... So we left. Really really too bad
I give it a 4. A 5 star for the food. I had a beef noodle soup. Mild spicy. The soup was delicious. The reason why I gave it a 3 was because I ordered it to go. When I got home. I opened up the bag and there was no napkins. Cutlery. Luckily I took it home to eat. If I were to take it to work. I would have been in a stump with the cutlery. That s all
Great food every , single , time . Never had a bad meal from there . Chicken Pud-thai (medium spicy) is hands down the best on earth !!!!
Nothing special. Certainly not the quality I m used to elsewhere. Very disappointing after reading other reviews.
Nothing special at all! Bla flavour and service was bad even though the place was empty.
hit and miss you need to know about Thai food in order to understand the menu
Amazing food and service
This Thai food restaurant will not disappoint! Absolutely delicious, lovers of spice take note! The Thai tea is also very refreshing.
I had the pad Thai here and it was good. I got a large portion (I had enough to take home for leftovers) for a good price!
Serene for your afternoon lunch... lovely variety of dishes.. Dig in.. Food
This is what a single $8 spring roll looks like. Obviously ripped in half by hand and shoved in a container too small for it. Requested 4 sets of utensils, none delivered. The guy on the phone told me they would get Doordash to refund the money then hung up. I will not be a returning customer. The owners reply to this review is consistent with their level of customer service.
Pad thai is good but servers are rude
Lots of choices, not just run off the mill stuff. Good portions (not humongous, not small), good service. I can still smell Ryan Reynoldss musk in the place.
Best Authentic food, very friendly, clean
Food is excellent, very well seasoned, fresh tasting, like a good home-cooked meal. Been there twice and the lady that has served me has always been very kind, considerate, and attentive. My phone had died in the cold and she provided me with a charger and things to read while I waited for my phone to turn back on. The dining area is nice. Simple, clean, open, and culturally relevant decor. Peaceful and quiet. Was very satisfied, and will be back again. This place is a hidden gem
My family absolutely adores the Thai food at this place. The flavours are exceptional, and the quality and quantity of the ingredients are unbeatable. Without a doubt, well be their loyal customers for years to come.
Bring my Brazilian friends for a good hot meal and they loved NITS Thai Food. Everything was perfect and our waitress was so nice and calm! I will come back for sure.
Food and service were fantastic! Never had authentic Thai food before, and would definitely go back
I would recommend Nits Thai food To anybody excellent service amazing food something you should look forward to if you want to try different style.
The service was good, good flavor. But pricey for the amount of foods and dirty in general. We had tom yum soup. For $19, only had a few strands of beef and a few pieces of mushroom in clear broth with rice. The spring rolls were hard, may be baked. Missing the crispy texture. Very disappointed for the price and the foods we got.
Good flavors. Highly recommend.
Staff is friendly, food can be spiced up, Tai hot is perfect. And well priced, portion size is good value for money. One of my favorites in the MJ area.
My girlfriend and i went to nits for some Chinese food. We ordered chow mein and they gave us vegetables. So we complained and asked for our chow mein. The waitress kept arguing with us say it is chow mein. They also took forever to take our drink orders. They are just really rude. I dont recommend. If i could give less than 1 star i would.
I cannot rave about Nit s Thai enough! I was there with a sizeable group last week & I ordered in two weeks ago. Just incredible both times. Such flavour! Food arrived hot. Amazing value for money (quantity). Great service too. When I ordered in, I tried to order through the website but my credit card sometimes makes things tricky. I called and they helped me try a couple different payment methods before we were able to make it work (my card just has a tricky CVV situation). Anyhow, they were so patient. Such a great experience both times end-to-end. Things we loved: Tom Kha Guy (Coconut milk chicken lemongrass soup) Lab (Beef salad) Pud Thai And the little green leaves with the crunchy coconut & amazing sauce. Everything was amazing.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely come back next time were in Moosejaw
Love their food. Especially the wonton soup.
Authentic Thai food on the on the prairies. Spring roll and coconut soup is our favorite order, but do make sure to ask if they have thai leaves in stock for their leaf wrap appetizer.
Great food great Customer service. First time to dine in here and don t know which food to pick but Aliyah recommend some primo good stuff. Big serving on orders. Fair pricing. Would definitely going back.
A regular stop when we are in Moose Jaw. Never fails to please.
Authentic Thai food and tried a few dishes Ive never had in traditional Thai restaurants. Loved all of them.
You simply have to come here, very authentic and you will love the variety. Very unique.
Best Thai food I have ever had! We ordered Thai hot for a spice level and it was indeed very hot! Will definitely go back.
Well worth the pull in off of the trans Canada!
A long time gem in the heart of Moose Jaw. I can t think of another honest to goodness Thai restaurant on the prairies. Others that call themselves Thai are good, but are fusion. Nits is the real deal.
Passed through from BC and found Nits, and so glad we did. They were able to accommodate us for pickup close to their closing time. We got pad se ew and lad na and they were both delicious. We are the takeout outside of the restaurant and the owner saw us eating and came out later to provide us with water. Great service by him, I m sure the service eating in is even better! Will be coming back if we ever pass by again.
5th time visit same great taste , hot and spicy as u need ..
Fantastic food, perfect sized portions. The server was very helpful in deciding what to order and advising on potion sizes and was very friendly. Parking: Lots of parking was available on the street after 6 PM.
The food here was sooooo good! We will definitely be back for more, whenever we can. Very friendly staff and always around right before you needed something, very on the ball!
Love the tofu pud Thai !!!!
Service was fantastic and food was delicious and recieved massive portions. Great spot for authentic Thai!
A solid and consistently pleasurable experience. Its my go-to restaurant in Moose Jaw and has been since the day it opened. If more than five stars were available I would certainly rate it higher. Food
Food was great. Squid was perfect.
The best chinese food I have ever had. I highly recommend
Visited Moose Jaw and this was the restaurant we tried. Really good food! Can t wait to go back and try other dishes.
The food here was mediocre, however the young owner and his waitress staff have mental, and anger issues, and lack self control. Had a situation arise from Nits overcharging on a dish, and then under delivering on the food, as we ordered take out, along with a dine in meal. Tried communicating my point, but could not get a word in as the owner raised his voice, and resorted to petty attacks on character.
The food was great I have enough for two more meals and also my wife has enough for two more meals as well and this is my first time having Thai food I have to say I will definitely be having it again very satisfied well done keep up the good work and quality food just next time I would like the chili sauce and peanut sauce as well
Best deep fried shrimp Ive EVER had.
Average Thai food; however, their peanut sauce is the best, and the staffs friendly.
Very friendly staff and absolutely amazing Thai cuisine!!!!
If you havent, eat here. Delicious, homemade, fresh Thai food. One of the only places that makes food legitimately spicy. 10/10. Their pad Thai is legendary
Delicious food and friendly service.
Amazing as always... Thank you so much... Be back soon
Delicious food and large portions.
Authentic Thai for sure, we thanked the lady in Thai and she replied the food is not as catered to the Asian taste buds as I had hoped, and slightly steep pricing wise imo. Otherwise possibly the only place in moose jaw that you can get somewhat authentic Thai dishes. We did pad Thai, curry and rice and a thai milk tea.
Our first time eating Thai food, and overall it was good. Our group ordered many dishes, and all but one were really tasty (that one we chalked up to taste preferences). The service was friendly, portions were large and the restaurant was nice.
Really rude service I ever see in Canada!
Excellent authentic Thai food. Great place for decades!
Good food
We got the number 5 and 11 and they were good. Service was a little slow and I thought the portion size of the number 11 chicken pieces would have been bigger.
Good food
Great authentic Thai!
Fabulous service and Pad Thai!
Their Pad see ew has us coming back regularly. And the chicken Satay and its peanut sauce is just amazing. Looks are deceiving here. Excellent food.
I was so worried that eating here wouldn t be the same without meat as I recently became vegetarian Nope! Hot pad thai and spring rolls are still just as delicious with tofu in them! Amazing! (:
Always a guaranteed stop when we are in Moose Jaw. The guy satay is a must have to get things started. Staff are always incredible here as well. Cant recall a single bad experience.
Very good thai food. Curry is damn tasty
Always come here when in Moosejaw
Nits is really a hidden gem. Fantastic food and great service.
Good food and service
Their #23 with Shtimp and the #11 are the best I have ever had. So good.
Very good tried pad thai was yummmmyyyyy
Not as good as I remember. Dont order the fresh roll. Thats a one star item. I definitely think its time for a full Reno and at the very least a bathroom freshen up.
I remember this place being awesome needs some updating as I was disappointed the last time I ordered portions seemed small and unsatisfying
I imagine this is what Thai food in Canada was like in the 80s. If the presence of Chinese and Canadian sections in the menu isnt enough of a giveaway, theres also a selection of very dated positive newspaper clippings at the back. While the staff are friendly, the food is bland, lifeless and, at best, Thai-inspired. This restaurant is way past its prime and, while its the closest you can get in The Jaw, you should go elsewhere if you want a delicious Thai meal.
Very good Thai food, food was served hot and fresh!
The food is quite good. I really enjoyed my dinner. I ordered 10 sticks satay and chicken rice. The chicken rice is good but the peanut sauce for the satay is quite salty. The owner is very friendly.
Excellent food.Dont let the decor fool you.
Excellent food as always. Satay is amazing.
Friendly staff, food was amazing. I suggest trying the frogs legs!
Fantastic food from this staple Thai restaurant that has been serving up great dishes for many years now!
So good!!
Mmmm! The Thai food here was amazing! Portions were large and we took leftovers back to the hotel. We enjoyed the coconut things on a leaf (appetizer), the pad thai, and the Tom yum guy (coconut) soup. So good. Food was obviously made fresh but the kitchen was fast. I found the medium level of spice to be too spicy for me but that was our mistake in ordering. It is a short walk from Temple Gardens. I will definitely recommend and return here when we are back in Moose Jaw!
Food was great! We had papaya salad and pad thai. Mind you a few observation when we went 1. Servers wasnt wearing any mask nor gloves during covd. 2. Our server was wearing a dirty apron when he served us. Overall we had good supper and hopefully they pay much attention to proper safe food handling and sanitation.
Excellent food spiced perfectly.
Food is delicious. Lots of choices. Can do a vegan pad thai. Staff are friendly. Reasonable prices. Worth trying!
I love this resturant. Super fast delivery, and amazing food and and quality. Definitely will be ordering again!!!
Grrrrreat food! Delicious and spicy enough for my taste. Friendly staff and clean environment although old (probably needs a little renovation)
Must visit every time Im home. Its dated and the service isnt the greatest. We went the other night and they were short staffed and the busiest Ive ever seen them. The kitchen staff were busting their butts off trying to take care of everyone. Confusing for people who have never been because the service is always kind of different. Food makes up for it though! I cant find anywhere else that compares.
EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!
Growing up as a kid my mother, my two brothers and i used to come here quite frequently...during the time my mother took aesthetics at the hair design acadamy next door. Someof my favorite memorys here!
You could search large cities for great Thai food for decades and never find anything this tasty... Satay sticks are a must! Order 20 because you wont want to share :)
Best Tai food
Supper was great. #23 was excellent.
I wish I could give less than one star considering the owner swearing and yelling at me on the phone prevented me from even trying their food! Their website said eat in, take out, delivery. I called to order delivery. The owner yelled and swore at me stating they dont deliver. If he was remotely pleasant and stated that, I wouldve happily picked up our food. Apparently he gets a lot of crank calls and assumed me asking for delivery triggered him!
Very good food
Got take out - food as excellent as ever together with quick and polite service
Best Thai food Saskatchewan
Quick, friendly service. Lots of food and flavours were distinct.
Love it!
Decent food, had the chicken and cucumber salad.
Mediocre. One of the worst restaurants Ive been to.
Spicy and delicious
There for supper June 14, 2019. Not fancy decore but the food was delicious. Fast friendly service. Will go again.
Good food, a bit pricy
Very delicious! Friendly and fast service. Less decor but more authentic food. Highly recommended.
Excellent variety in flavors, slightly pricey dishes, but worth it
Awesome Thai food the place to stop or make a special trip
Always love this place
Your typical tasty Thai restaurant. Good location and service and we got our meals quick. Food had flavour, is authentic and was of good value. If you are from out of town looking for Asian cuisine Nits is superior to Landscape in our opinion.
We usually eat here when we visit Moose Jaw, food quality and service have declined since our last visit
I heard really good things about this place and decided to check it out. The ambience was great, the food was okay, the portion sizes were big.
Sat down to eat and this place was so dirty we decided to leave before ordering. Glad we did because after checking the health inspections this restaurant has a pest problem and doesnt properly sanitize anything. Its a shame as we need authentic Thai food in Saskatchewan. Another odd thing was we heard the server telling other diners the Chinese food was gross and not to even bother with it. He also said the Pad Thai wasnt good. Isnt that the national dish of Thailand?
Fresh and full of flavor! Absolutely amazing!
Best place ever !!
Not good.
Authentic and Always good.
Portions are huge. Resturant is pretty dated. Wonton soup was okay. Other plates we got were pretty good!!
Decor could use a facelift, but the food is great
Excellent food! Fast service. Very casual dining
Food was great! Decor is a bit out dated, but we didn t care. Service was also very fast and friendly!
Wanted to eat at this restaurant but unfortunately parking is a serious issue for the location! You cant relax and enjoy your meal without having to worry about running out to plug a meter. I went in to ask the staff if there was an alternative parking option but the man i spoke to didnt seem to care.
Very good food. Wish there was one in Regina
All dishes are too sweet.
Every time
Best Thai food in town, worth the drive from Regina just to have it. Have been going for years and never once been disappointed.
Food is not as good as it used to be;however still tasty
Wonderful thai food. Sauces are great service superb
Food is authentic and great, the service was also great. the restaurant itself is desperate for renovation. when you walk thru the door is like walking thru a time machine back to the 80s. Ugly and dirty to say the least. Again, food and service are great but you guys should close down for few weeks and renovate the place it will sure boost the business since the food is already great!
Decent thai food in Moosejaw. It used be the best thai food in southern Saskatchewan. However, there are at least 4 thai restaurants in Regina that serve better and more authentic thai food than Nits . Pad thai is still their best dish. They need to be little bit more thai on their cooking. The dated decors need major facelift.
Fantastic authentic Thai food!
Nits has a solid reputation and it is well deserved! A perfect example of a hole-in-the-wall where you cant judge a book by its cover. Curry Stew and Coconut curry dishes are our favorites, along with the signature Pad Thai.
Great authentic Thai food! Love this place.
Shared number 20 and 23 on the menu, both were good. Should ask 23 to not come with rice as 20 is a fried rice.
3.5 Stars. Indoor temperature was a bit warm; food was a little too salty. Quite spacious in terms of available seats when we went - granted, we were there for a late lunch at 3:40pm - and relatively clean. Regarding dietary concerns. Out of our group of four, three have dietary concerns: one person cannot have gluten (not celiac, but gluten-sensitive), one person cannot have lactose, and the third can have neither. These three people seemed to be able to find food to eat easily. If we ever drop by in Moosejaw looking for dairy-/gluten-free food, wed probably come again.
Good food
One of the best Thai restaurants at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Love the food
We Love Nits Thai Food!
Based on the waitress confusion, this is a rare issue: I ordered tofu substituted which required support from another staff member to translate. They clearly dont serve it often, as it must have come out of an ancient package and then barely warmed up in a sauce consisting almost entirely of fish sauce. It was dry and difficult to chew despite the fish sauce dousing and tasted bad awful. The waitress included the charge for it on the bill she brought over while my partner was still eating. Its the first time in my life, or my partners life, that weve sent food back and refused to pay for it. We were conflicted, but the travesty of a sauce alone should never come out of a restaurant kitchen. One stall in the womens washroom had no tp dispenser and the roll was on the floor. Whole place really wants renovations to not have you questioning if anything is clean. My partner was okay with his dish.
Great place to eat a good vegan meal!
The waitress didnt get our orders right, but the food was still really good.
Excellent food
Food was amazing! We where just driving through moose jaw and looked online seeing they had a great rating. Went straight there had great service and even better food . Would make this a must have to anyone interested.
Delicious food, friendly service. Try the frog legs!
Legendary menu and uncompromising quality.
One of the best Thai food restaurant in SK.
Great pad thai
Enjoyable and very casual Thai spot right on the main drag of Moose Jaw. It s a limited selection but the food is pretty good. I had the Pad Thai, it could have used a little more meat in it but overall I left full and satisfied. They do offer more than just Thai food, like burgers and even some Chinese dishes.
