The best place to get tasty, wholesome Indian food!
There is lovely place and friendly staff. There are too many options for eating. You should eat with rice I suggest.
This is the best Miss India in Brisbane!!! Beautiful service, food and environment. We absolutely love it!!! Very happy 😁
Started off awesome been regularly seeing serves 80% rice barely 20% chicken. The butter chicken I had last night had three chunks of chicken in it and it was a large serving went down the road to Cannon Hill was much more happier.
Pretty disappointing. We ordered a dahl and a few sides to spruce up our own homemade Indian dishes. Lentils were borderline crunchy, and the naan looks and tastes like it's been cooked in a sandwich press. $40 for food no one particularly enjoyed
The Lamb Rogan Josh was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and tender pieces of lamb that melted in my mouth. The garlic naan bread was the perfect accompaniment. But what really made my day was when the kind staff surprised me with a free Butter Chicken Samosa! It was a delightful bonus that added an extra punch of flavor to my meal. The staff members were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great dining experience.
Value for money, delicious Indian curries. Had the butter chicken and a garlic nan which were both yum and will go back to try the tikka masala soon.
Gotta love this place for their curries and cheese and garlic naan. Well priced and open on weekends and public holidays
Great flavours, awesome staff very friendly! Food is delicious and good priced!
Decent Indian at a decent price. Hard to say no to good tasting Indian. The new Goat curry is quite good although labelling it spicy is a bit disingenuous. I had it along with the paneer tikka masala and I can honestly say the goat curry was maybe 20% more spicy than the paneer which is to say, almost not at all. That being said the goat meat was well cooked and I had no trouble removing the meat from bone which is always a good sign.
Everyone is always so friendly, always a sucker for their naan & samosas
Worst Indian I ve ever had, rude service also
Great value, curries were yum. Good portioned naan.
Food
$48 for 2 curries with mostly sauce not value for money folks. Both curries tasted the same as well
Worst ever we usually have this if we are feeling like Indian food. But it was tasteless and Watery, the nanny bread was like eating a dry Sao biscuit. We should get our money back
Fantastic tasting Indian food, definitely recommend to my friends. Very Friendly staff and clean restaurant 10/10! Parking: Got an underground parking lot
Very friendly staff. The curries are delicious and fresh and the value is great. I always come here for takeaway curry. The garlic naan is great
Really disappointed in the naan bread tonight we have been long time customers on and off over the last 10+ years. The thick chewy naan dipped in sauce has always been my favourite part well not any more it was thin dry and tasted like cardboard tonight please go back to how you used to make it. I get costs are up but rolling the naan out till its paper thin and still charging more is not the way to keep customers.
quality not good
Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian and vegan curries. Recommended dishes
Always service with a smile at Miss India and the food is something all the family can enjoy. You have to try their Cheese & Garlic Naan.
Great tasting food with friendly customer service Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetarian options Food : 5/5 |
Just got dinner here tonight, lovely people working in there, great food, very reasonable prices, on a quiet street with lots of parking. Will definitely visit again
SERVICE WAS IMPECABLE, after my disappointing appetizer at Taco Bell I was craving a splendid meal and let me tell you they did NOT disappoint. Ordered over the phone and was greeted by the voice of an angle. She is the reason this review is 5 stars. She is the reason I will be returning and she is the reason I live on today to tell this story. Despite the short wait on the average garlic and herb naan, this was an experience I wish for all to enjoy. However, if you are going to eat in keep in mind that the roads are a bit confusing and make sure to stay on the right side of the road as I almost had a tragic head on collision with an angry man. Anyways, the food was pretty delish if you ask me, it fulfilled my craving and filled my stomach for a VERY VERY cheap price. Got the chicken tikka masala and was not disappointed as I had high expectations as my usual stop for the Indian cuisine is Punjabi Palace and my expectations were met. Keep in mind that you may have to call and order if you arent keen on waiting.
Bland! And sent wrong order.
Been going there for years and its been great food until the last two times, I ve notice they have started to water down the butter chicken and beef korma curries.. no flavour.. such a shame ..
The best Indian food in Brisbane.
Tried multiple items there couple of times.. not going there again!. What has happened to them?! No flavour, smelly leg pieces. Even garlic naan was hard. They have gone worst. Never ever going there again! Don t waste your money. 100% agree on other negative reviews.
Great take away for value, yes its not the best but its fast takeaway with variety and comes in handy for a quick meal. Always amazing service as well.
Wow I went to miss india after few months. The non veg taste was awasum. And the girl adity served me and my husband very good. I dnt remember other girl name. But service was very good. Bhai add sm paneer dishes like palak paneer than we dnt need to go to Indian brothers And more vegtrain dishs pls
Drop in for lunch today. All the curries are all ready to go. Very fast service by a lovely lady. If you need a curry in a hurry, this is the place to go.
Service is amazing! Such beautiful manners and made me feel very welcomed. Comfort food at it finest!!
Terrible, the worst food naan bread.
The staff were lovely, and friendly. The naan bread was excellent!! We got take away, and its always reliable
Pleased I tried Miss India again. Good food with a minimum of fuss.
The food is generally good, service is good and its not somewhere you would take a date or family lol
Its essentially a take away with a few tables. Food was good as were prices
Great food and real curries. Must taste.
the better food
To the lovely lady serving tonight who I chatted with, who complimented my dress and also made sure my partner and I had a lovely meal - thank you :) Ive been here 3 times and the service is quite good, the food has been good for the most part - at times the curry is slightly hit or miss (watered down at times) but the butter chicken sauce and vegetable korma is generally always a good choice
A shame If you want to have a good Indian meal this is NOT the place to go to! But if you like eating trash food plz feel happy to eat here. Disgusting!
Closing 40 minutes before the advertised closing time, which isnt even that late to begin with
Love grabbing Indian here.. I love the lamb vindaloo, buy it to take home for dinner, I try to get to morningside just for this place it s ready it s nice great location
Straight up trash and a shame to Indian food - Australia s Indian . Come on.
Love it. Always consistent. Best Indian. It took me years to find the best butter chicken and it s here. Frequent flyer
Always had great service and amazing food from here. Wont disappoint.
HORRIBLE my boyfriend ordered from here last week (12/2/22), and must now undergo surgery due to FOOD POISONING from poor hygiene.
Loved the variety available to take home. Quick service. We were in and out in 8 mins.
Run of the mill fast food style Indian food. Quick and easy but not award winning. Reasonably priced. Parking is a bit hard if you cant get one of the few parks out front.
Great Tandoori
Great selection of dishes to choose from both meat and vegetarian. Dishes already prepared so no wait time on meal. Naan bread cooked to order so nice, hot and fresh. Can get a decent meal at an affordable price.
Havent been over morningside since vivid began and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there tonight. I had mango chicken and my partner had lamb korma. Rice, garlic naans, papadums, pakora and vege samosas. Yummy
Got the Delhi double paid 5 bucks more to go extra large she fills the container with 3/4 of rice so end up paying 17 bucks for rice and a couple of scopes of Currie, then I see that there cooking the naan bread in a pan and not in the tandoori oven, never again will I come here
Delicious food and friendly and polite staff Thank you
Ate here last night and now I have food poisoning
Extremely friendly and food is fantastic!
Ordered through Menulog. Most disappointing meal ever. Would not recommend at all
This is my first time so I cant speak for consistency yet. I picked up butter chicken, saffron rice, vegetable korma and lamb vindaloo and plain naan. This is one of only 3 restaurants in all of Brisbane that had Melbourne style flavours. Really enjoyed it and will be going back. I will report any changes in future meals. As the other reviews mention, naan was cooked through a pizza oven and the thicker self raising flour style at a not so cheap price. I was fine with it but I can see how people who prefer the thinner tandoor oven style. Vegetarian options: Various vegetarian curries. Parking: Limited parking with 3 street carparks out the front of the restaurant.
Regular serving!! Size of a small ice cream tub (very small) and nearly $12 Not the value it used to be!!
Used to be good but gone downhill runny Curry and naan cooked in toaster keep driving
Delicious food, awesome service, and good value for money. Ladies behind the counter are always cheerful and courteous. Our regular Friday night dinner destination. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Yes, also vegan Parking: Parking right outside
Good cheap Indian food
I ordered lunch through a meal delivery app and ordered 4x butter chicken with sides of rice and naan. Only one lot of sides appeared at the store yet I still was charged for 4 x everything. I rang the store and they sorted it immediately. The staff were wonderful. Thank you. Bonus that the food was also yummy.
This place has put me off miss india restaurants. I was hoping for the right food and the right amount but just got ripped off! My kid had medium not mild chickpea and potatoe curry, Im really disappointed the restaurants they closed down were heaps better the only good thing I can say is the mango chicken was nice we were missing 1 or 2 of their breads though with our order and it just wasnt worth the money. I hope they employ staff or train the ones they have to do a better job.
Is really hit or miss, a month ago my family and I had a decent feed of holy cow meal deals and it was exactly the same as every other miss India I ve been. HOWEVER just had a holy cow meal delivered and the curry was tiny as frick and more watery than the raita that came with it, also the samosa was meat and they only included a single pappadum. Idk if Morningsides store is under new management or it has useless new staff but I know I definitely will be getting food from the Coorparoo Miss India if I ever do get Miss India again.
Always fantastic. The staff are lovely!
Oh wow so delicious! And great value
Wow, wow wonderful tasting curry and great variety
Very pricey and the quantity of food was so little. Food was tasty but will not be ordering again. Very dissapointed.
The naan bread was terrible butter chicken was dry will never go there again
Really bad naan brad. They don t have any tandoori naan. Also currys s wasn t fresh
Lovely friendly staffs with best customer services and the best butter chicken with garlic naan makes me hungry always . Always happy with meals from here
Very good quality foods and naan are cooked in front of eyes and fresh and one of my favorite is butter chicken .a always happy with the food and portioning size of your choice.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Great food and friendly staff.
Food is great
The food is amazing, the place is very clean and the food is fresh. The service is perfect!!
My weekly treat, staff are always friendly but food is amazing and good price and plenty of options if youre annoying like me and coeliac whos allergic to dairy
Yum, yum, yum ..
Great service! Best butter chicken and incredible naan ! Would recommend!
One of the best indian places around but the naan breads arent what they used to be :/ However, it sits in the hot box all day thats not fresh in my opinion and the staff have completely no hospitality or service skills probably no people skills either - they need to pick up the slack
Food bloody good and service excellent
This is a good miss India
Nice chicken Madras. The naan breads were brilliant as well.
The naan was like store- bought sweet bread and the meals were cubed pieces of one meat or another. Morningside no longer has tandoori naan
This use to be my favourite Indian takeaway for years ! Had the best naan, service , curries and sides. I grabbed some takeaway this week after not going for a while and I was so disappointed! The lady asked if I wanted the already made naan or fresh and I asked for fresh made and was happy to wait . I didn t watch the naan be made as I was ordering other things and get home to find a dry , bland , cold naan with no flavour and it clearly was the one from in the display which I asked not to have ! Also ordered and was charged for an item I did not receive and when I called to enquire once I got home the woman told me to drive back to get it (not happening) and hung up on me. Such a disappointing experience compared to the past and I will not be going back ! Happy to charge people for items that were not received or satisfactory !
Great service and tandoor nanns are back between 5-8 also old plastic container are also back
Would be 0 stars if I could. Had always been happy with their meals. Our last order the customer service was terrible, and when we got home, noticed we were missing Nan breads, ratias, and papadums. The Nan we received was cold and tasteless also. Was so disappointing. I called the store and the woman on the other end could only say hello in English. They have lost a long time customer!
Nice food
Watery curries and hard naan.
Used to love the food here but last night was disappointing. My plain naan appeared to be a frozen pizza base which was sent through a conveyer belt oven- very dry and bland. I also had to ask for more meat as the server had only put 1 piece in and the rest sauce. Pappadums werent crisp and the chicken Tikka looked too dry to bother with. At one stage this place had what I considered the best naan in Brisbane.
Good food
Curries were great, was disappointed that I had to pay $1 extra to have garlic added to my cheese and spinach naans, and then to have them undersized, undercooked, with the cheese stuck together...
Worst naan bread. Hard as a rock, cooked in a mechanical conveyor pizza oven. I used to go to miss India Morningside just because of their amazing naan breads that used to be cooked in the tandoor oven. Now they theyve stopped using it, I wont be bothering to go back.
Yet again gone in for a curry and one of those amazing oven baked nann yet to have it done in a roller pizza oven, again!! They come out terrible and dry, currys here are average, the only reason myself and friends go in are for the nann breads. Sorry miss India, no more visits from me!...unless you start using your pizza oven again.
The curries were alright, the rice was fine and that s about it. I have no idea what the go is with the dining tables being out as I asked to just have a meal to sit down I was greeted with a plastic tub being pulled out and filled. Cool, guess I ll eat it on my couch like it s not a curry in a plastic container that could spill all over my things because I m a messy eater and am too ashamed to wear a bib to address the issue. The naan straight up tasted like cardboard, was rock solid and could have passed for a frozen pizza base. The lassi was pretty average. They offer Indian pizza, which I can only assume is a naan bread with a curry slapped on top. If you re after something to put in your stomach because you forgot to get meat out of the freezer to defrost for dinner, yeah, maybe give it a crack. Otherwise I d give it a pass.
Theres a reason this place has been in business so long. Quality food, good price. Do yourself a favour.
The naan bread was what made this place, in a proper tandoori oven. But theyve stopped doing that now
Service was nice. Food used to be nice in previous orders. Curry was watery and lacked flavour.
Best Miss India Ive been to.
Was the worst Indian food I ever had. I was afraid of getting food poisoning with the raita.
Great food, Friendly staff.
We ordered the dinner for two and extra samosas. The mango curry was so nice and the butter chicken was amaxinggg. Everything was cooked to protection. , very enjoyable and would order again.
Great food and friendly staff
We love this place! The girls are always so nice! The Kashmiri Naan is to die for! This is the place to go for Naan bread.
Amazing food at a really reasonable price, restaurant is super clean too. Great service. We always drop in when were anywhere near the area!
I really enjoy every single curry at miss india, as each one has its individual and authentic taste. Each and everytime my daughter and i have eaten there we have had excellent customer service and been greeted so nicely by Kartae (Katie)... the mango lassis are incredibly addictive and hit the spot everytime Thank you once again miss india and kartae for your beautiful, delicious cuisine.
Always good food (amazing butter chicken). Fast service times as well
My husband and I frequent Miss India Morningside about 3 times a week and the food is always great. However, what really always stands out is Kartars impeccable service. Her service is amazing and she always has a smile on her face. I genuinely look forward to seeing her when I grab my dinner.
Nice curries and friendly staff. My son is a fussy eater but finished all of his lamb Kashmiri.
Have been coming to this location for years. So tasty and fresh and the staff are always friendly and efficient.
Had the lunch special, very happy with the food. Freshly made naan bread, Pakora was great too. Would come again.
Food quality is good and reasonable price just need to be faster when theres people waiting other than that great
Great service.
Ordered butter chicken with rice and naan. The rice and naan were nice. The curry was terrible. It was watery.
Been here half a dozen times and they are always consistently good.
Worst indian food.. chicken was not properly cooked, so was rice. Drinks were not at all cold. Food was lot more spicy. Wasted my bucks on it. Just a big name nothing else.
Awesome place to spend time with loved ones. Service is at the top. I was served by a girl Kamaljeet kaur , I loved the way she explained me the deals. I felt as a VIP guest. Thanks for that special feel.
Superb quality of food and very good service by @kamaljeetkaur
Good fresh nann bread. Sometimes other things arent as fresh but its a fast food place, cant expect fresh resturaunt quality food when youre in and out heading home in under 10 minutes.
Food was horrible. The curries were so dry and taste average. Tandoori chicken was uncooked! Just a waste of money!
Used to not be bad until today. Burnt Naan bread and given meat samosa instead of vegetarian, also not willing to do anything about it. Must have changed staff to those who now do not care.
Very disappointing, I ordered three Naan with different fillings. Only to get home and realise there was hardly any filling in the Naan. Not only that, theyve now introduced new containers and they are far smaller than the old sizes but yet, we pay the same price. I wont be returning!!
We have eaten here sporadically and have always had an acceptable meal...until tonight. They have changed the size of the containers so that they are less than half the original meal size but for the same price. The Naan was horrible with barely any fillings and mostly uncooked. We will be looking for a new place to eat as we wont be going back here. Extremely disappointing.
Love their Nans... but they didn t have it today
Food absolutely beautiful and great service.
I bought a vegetarian thali take away on 19th Apr and was charged $19.95 but eat in price is $10.90. I understand if it was a few dollars more but $9 more to take away, thats a total ripoff. I didnt ask for fancy takeaway tray and box. Please stop ripping people off. Im not sure if you realised that people can actually buy another meal with the $9. Please relook at the takeaway prices...as you are not a 5* restaurant.
Food is terrible at this restaurant, the curries have too much liquid in them and taste horrible. Ive been to other Miss Indias and their food was ok, but not the one at Morningside.
Food is delicious but they have changed their serving sizes. They use to use the typical plastic takeaway containers but now use bowls similar to cold rock which are half the size. We wont be going back to the Morningside store. They still charge the same price
Ordered an extra large upgrade for $5 extra over large. All I got was heaps more rice. Very disappointing
Well done team. I had a nice lunch
Cold and poor quality
Awsome service n naan bread ..
Average food but fast and convenient.
Consistent tasty and good value.
Goog food, great staff, fair prices
If you have too much money to waste, then this is the right place
Great fresh food
Very long wait for naan bread. Staff had no idea whose order was for who. Let customers take other peoples order. Howzart half n half mainly all rice. Would appear to be new staff. Wont be back
You have to have the Holy Cow ! Of course, there is no beef, its holy. The Holy Cow is a meal choice, your choice of curry, rice, Samoa and popadom. In my opinion, its good value for money. Plus you get a good selection of currys.
Middle of the road Indian for the Australian consumer. If you want tasty convenient meal without excessive spice, this joint will fit the bill.
Worst miss india i have ever had! I uber eats butter chicken, didnt get butter chicken, pretty sure it was chicken korma or something. My boyfriend got food poisoning from it and i am not feeling great either. The half meat half rice serving was so small too and it came with white rice and was undercooked! Never going there again!
Value for money and beautiful butter chicken. Was a fantastic feed plus the garlic and cheese naan is out of this world blown away by How much you get. Fantastic stuff
Wonderful service by the yound Lady Kartaar at Morningside Miss India. The ready to go Rice and Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious.
Cheap n cheerful, fast friendly service.. oh and quite delicious ! Vegan thali
Great food and service. Awesome if youre in a rush as theyve always got heaps of choices ready to go, but SO worth waiting for a naan bread as they make them up fresh. Pizza seems pretty good too, but I dont go to an Indian place for pizza :)
Best and fresh curry with special naan bread .Realy make evening better .Iam very Happy with their customer service .
Good fast Indian food. Plenty of choices and affordable.
Great to see you have improved. I can come back. Secret is no grissel in the meat. Good job.
India
Got crook after
Went in for dinner with some friends and had the Chicken Madras. Even though I had said I was dining in with my friends who ordered just before me, I was served my meal in a take away container. The staff seemed like they all had better things to be doing with the exception of the man making the naan bread. While the meal itself was decent, its not somewhere im likely to visit again.
Very disappointing, we ordered butter chicken medium, no flavour taste like water, and luke warm , which is not good for a chicken dish, there are about 5 other Indian food places in the area , I definitely choose the wrong one
Great food and great prices
Delicious Curries! The Mango curry was abit spicy for my liking (didnt say it on the label), and the Naans were abit burnt, but otherwise great value!
Always great food here. Have tried others but come back here so tasty.
Great food, the system they use to make the naan bread is terrible, they should just write it on the bag and hand it to the guy, Ive had multiple orders mixed up because they just call out the naan and the naan guy just forgets.
Nice food but can be very slow when busy.
Nice food
Not even worth one star. Tricked us to pay more than what we originally ordered. Very scammy.
Really good meals at reasonable prices. Excellent service also!
Miss India in general is fast food Indian. Its never the best Indian on offer, but its never that bad, and its reliably consistent from store to store. Oh, and the garlic and cheese naan at Miss India is great. Morningside store is uncluttered nd tidy and service is quick and pleasant. Theres much better Indian available at Morningside, but if you dont want to deal with the crowd and the waiting times over the road, Miss India is an option.
Food is good if you don t have any other choice
Nice food
Good selection of indian curries and great nan breads
1-Star for Nice Venue, 1-Star Nice food except a small glitch 2-stars for Hygiene. Food was cooked Good and delicious, though i only eaten Rice and Rajmah, portion is Nice and enough. Except they claim by mistake, naan was left a little un-cooked on the edges. I was reimbursed for the Naan and one was given free. Venue is well Decorated and Clean with a nice Breeze coming in. Staff is Friendly and alert and responding. So they were helpful! They need to put some glasses and water on the dine-in table. And have agreed to do the needful. In totality, food is Yummy + Venue is nice with Street view + Staff is Co-operative.
We ordered some butter chicken and it came in a tiny container with the rice and curry in the same container. We ordered this and Naan bread and it cost us $20 to get delivered when we got about $2 worth of curry. Also was cold and there was maybe one tiny piece of chicken in it. The standard of service has dropped in my opinion.
Cheap curry dinner specials. Recommend the Garlic and Cheese Naan
Essentially fast food curry so a bit average. I liked it as an option if I worked late or was in a rush but their new container sizes are terrible. The regular size is tiny, remove the rice and youre left with very little curry and the large is 50% more in price which is not worth it and there are better options elsewhere for that price.
Always took away.... I Love Nans... all types
Always smiling faces to greet you. Delicious and fresh naan bread and curry. Particularly love the butter chicken, Kashmiri lamb, vegetable korma and dahl.
Good for fast Indian.
Friendly staff and quick service..not to many tasty!
Good food, good staff, Thali size is too big one can not eat the full thali
The Worst Indian food Ive ever had in Australia. This type of Indian foods are good for the people who dont know the taste of the Indian food.
I am happy to go out of my way to get takeout from here, its one of my favourites.
Service varies and so does the quality in their curries. But ill still continue to return as its convenient on my way home.
Terrible Indian food.
The food was just amazing for a Miss India but unfortunately the service was nasty with the woman serving being actively rude for no reason. Sad.
Always delicious
Very affordable instant fast food take away. food range of Indian curries. Rice can be dry. Breads are amazing. A small range of sides, desserts, salad, youghart drink etc
Food is always very tasty
Terrible service - asked 3 times if I could get it hot spicy and she reestedly said it was even though the sign said mild - which is was actually less than mild, basically sweet. Only about 4 pieces of chicken in the whole curry. The naan was the only good part however without enjoying the curry with it, was a waste of the whole meal.
Love the food.....the food needs more heating is my only complaint
Yummy
Butter chicken, cashmiri lamb, superb
Best Naan bread.
Good spot for eating take away food
I always come to Miss India Morningside because even at 830 at night they stock vego dishes...simply the best! Forever a loyal customer loving the veg korma!
