Just home after a less than stellar dining experience at Pizza Delight, Mt. Pearl. The restaurant wasn’t busy (two booths occupied, along with a few tables in the small party room) and we were seated quickly. My husband ordered a draught beer, and when he got to the bottom of the drink, there were a number of things floating at the bottom of the glass. Showed the server who agreed it was disgusting, and she poured it down the sink near our table; didn’t mention it again. Our food came out about 10 minutes later, and we opened the cutlery. Two of the three sets of cutlery couldn’t be used as they were filthy; the set my daughter used was okay. Had to wait to get the server’s attention so we could get more cutlery; she brought three more sets and the second one I opened was worse than the first. By the time the cutlery was sorted, the pizza was not nearly as hot as it should have been and while not affected by temperature, the Caesar salad was disappointingly bland. We were never asked how the food was, my husband was never asked if he wanted anything else to drink. When we were paying for our bill, we asked if she had mentioned the issue with the glass/beer to a manager and was told she hadn’t, but she would. I’m not convinced it will ever be mentioned, so I hope one reads this review. Photo is fork from the second cutlery packet: wish I had my time back and had taken a photo of the bottom of the glass. This was the third time eating at/from this location, but quite likely my last.
My wife and I came in around 8:00 pm for supper, there was maybe two tables being used and they were already eating so we were seated and served in a timely manner. Obviously the food came out in the same manner and was fresh and hot. Service was timely, neither hard to find or showing up when our mouths were full lol My only issue was the atmosphere. The house lights were so bright! Usually a dining experience has somewhat dimmed lightning and some background music playing (there was a radio station on but on low) It basically felt like we were eating in at a Tim Hortons or Subway. I would choose dim lighting over louder music. Not all bad considering, will come back to dine in again 👍
We ordered this evening from Mt Pearl location. (Second time in about a month)- disapointing both times. Undercooked and very cold. I understand it could be less warm in transport but this was just very cold, hardly any cheese and soggy dough. Not worth nearly 50 dollars at all.
Shared a 9 inch pizza with works and 9 inch garlic fingers. Garlic fingers were paper thin, half the pizza didn't have ingredients...our server was very good, personable and efficient. Food not the Pizza Delight standard....won't be back.
The food at this pizza delight location is not edible not once but multiple times we get pizza where the dough is undercooked and raw. Cold dough is being used or something seriously wrong here. The quality at this location compared to others was just pitiful. This week's meal we got was not even edible. I'm surprised a place can stay open putting out food like that that can get people sick.
Save yourself the time and frustration. They can't follow basic instructions or even just cut the damn thing properly. Ordered online and requested meat only be on half the pizza portion of the pizza/garlic finger Combo. Almost all the pizza had meat on it. Pizza was not properly cut and some parts looked like it was cut bigger than others, like 2 garlic fingers in one with no distinction or demarcation line and had to pretty much rip the pizza and garlic fingers to shreds to get a piece. We ended up using our own pizza cutter at home to seperate it. They were out of the type of cheese cake I ordered so the hostess asked my fiance if he wanted carrot or caramel instead, and he said caramel, since I find that their carrot stuff is more cake than cheesecake. He got home, we went to share dessert, and lo and behold, it was f****** carrot cake, not caramel. It's like they couldn't follow basic instructions or requests or even cut it into reasonably unform pieces. Thankfully, used a gift card friends gave us for xmas, but will definitely never invest any actual money for a meal there.
I have been a loyal customer of Pizza Delight since sometime in 90’s and it was one of my favourite restaurants. Recently the quality has gone down at the Mount Pearl location. The last 3 orders have resulted in pizzas and garlic fingers that are not fully cut. There is nothing more frustrating then having to cut your own take out pizza. Another issue at this location is not getting what you pay for, I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve paid for a topping like bacon on garlic fingers, extra sauce, extra cheese, donair sauce and never got it. It really seems that asking for extra sauce offends someone it really appears that you end up with less than the normal amount on a regular basis. The pizza is so inconsistent, the topping could be an 1”-1.5” from the crust, minimal sauce, cheese or toppings, over cooked or under cooked, there really is no telling what you will get. When it is good it is awesome but that really is a role of the dice. Last weekend was my worst experience yet, pizza was not cut, no extra sauce that I paid for and they left off the bacon on the garlic fingers which I also paid for. The guy ahead of my was losing his mind because they messed up his order, as per usual he stated. The guy behind me also shared his consistent pizza issues with me. I called back to complain and they said the manager would call me which they never did. Like I said I have been a loyal customer going on 30 years, ordering almost every week but I have to admit they are losing me due to such minor quality control issues. The pizza is not cheap here so you would expect some good quality, but that is not the case lately whatever is going on. Ridiculous !!! (Pictures are examples of incomplete cuts not missing toppings on this particular order)
Excellent service. Server checked in part way through our meal to see if we were enjoying our meal or needed anything else. Clean and spacious restaurant. Great food. Great options.

My kids love Pizza Delight! Its their number one place to go eat or get rake out from. Love eating in though, great service, food is tasty, service is always wonderful. Overall excellent experience.
Food is decent. Prices are good. Atmosphere has definitely gone down since they renovated. Pretty bland. I miss the bread bar. I think its time to bring it back.
Friendly staff and quality service. Goes to 4-stars if they start leaving pizza in for longer - the dough is always just barely cooked and the sauce and everything is watery. I ve noticed that the past few times I got pizza there. Other than that, dandy spot.
Decided to have takeout called in our order. Person on the phone was really kind that s why there s two stars. Ordered the deluxe and garlic fingers. Dough wasn t cooked, pizza was very watery three pieces of chicken on the whole pizza, only veggies you could taste was the huge pieces of mushroom STEMS, hardly any cheese on the pizza. Garlic fingers wasn t cooked either and they forgot our bacon bits. Maybe an off day this pizza delight is usually really good. Today not so much. Pizza delight is expensive so if you re paying over 30 dollars for pizza you expect a little better

My fiancé, baby (9.5 months) and myself had this for lunch today. Overall it was good! The waitress was friendly and efficient. They were clearly understaffed for lunch hour as she was the only one handling the floor, phone, takeout orders etc. I could tell she was working hard to the best of her ability. The only thing keeping this review from 5 stars was the kids spaghetti I ordered for my son. Him being an infant I obviously tasted his food prior to giving him any it was spicy. Not with ground pepper but actually spicy. I m not sure if this is normal for there or if this was a mistake made in the kitchen. When you order spaghetti (especially from the kids menu) you don t expect any spice like that. I ended up removing as much sauce as possible as it was definitely too spicy for my son. Personally I wouldn t even like it with how spicy it was. I was certainly disappointed.
We stopped in to this pizza delight last night at 9 pm hoping to have a meal like i did last time i was on the island 20 years ago ! Immediately the server was rude and seemed unhappy to have to clean one more table , we went to the washroom and both were in a horrible mess and barely functional. Then the server argued with us about what it clearly said on the menu and seemed happy we decided to take our business elsewhere so he would have less work to do.
Take me back to the days where you had a nice buffet and great slice of pizza you know you used to love. Well now they think a traditional pizza is a thin pizza theses days and a 9 inch garlic fingers represents a actual 6 inch. I see your doing the same thing as most grocery stores with the shrink inflation hey .

I ordered last night and paid $44 for Nachos and small Caesar salad. Heres what I got. The person who made these should be fired. They are disgusting and he should be ashamed of himself. I would appreciate a full refund. I will never eat there again. Thanks but no thanks.

Ordering or pickup at pickup counter is terrible. One person handling pick up, orders and phone in orders on Friday rush hour. Seriously????

Great pizza and they have good pricing. I ordered my pizza for pickup and forgot to have it set for a later time. They remade it when I got there.
If its your birthday this is the place to go! They have a nice birthday menu of free food. Our overall experience was good however they are obviously lacking staff as there was only one server for the whole restaurant. He did a great job however the kitchen was a bit slow and had to redo our garlic fingers.

The food took an incredibly long time and seemed as though it was left to sit for half a hour before brought to the table. The waiter was very rude, basically threw a take away container at us, he very much so just seemed like he wanted us out of the restaurant
Over an hour wait with a waiter who seemed like he wanted to die while working there. Food was stale and was overall a bad time. I only ask for a mediocre experience when dining out but didn t even get that
Youd think that nachos would be an easy and quick meal, but youd be wrong. Undercooked chicken, stale chips and a dry as h*** pizza are only some of the misfortunes that befell us during the hour of dining h e double hockey sticks. We waited over an hour to even get our terrible food and during all this our waiter looked like would rather stick forks in his eyes then look at us. We will not be eating there again to say the least and I hope no one else does either.

As Ive been living up-along (for too long, clearly), it had been years, if not decades, since I had Pizza Delight, and I had forgotten how delicious it is. Excellent value and service. Even the kids pizza was delicious, and we loved the panzerotti. Nice that they offer to bring the food to your car for takeout. My one and only ask is that they allow customers to add a tip during the online ordering process.

went here twice, such a nice little spot. Food is great and prices are good. Staff are very welcoming,both visits where in the afternoon service was fast. The tables are spaced out nice the walls are not over decorated. It has a very clean feel to it. looking forward to returning again.

This was a most terrible experience. It was busy but not run off your feet busy. It took forever to get our order placed. When our order finally did come of the 8 orders placed 6 of the orders were done incorrectly. We were especially concerned about our daughters order as she has a tree nut allergy and we had asked several questions when placing her order in particular. When the kids pizzas came they could not remember which was hers. Then items had to be remade. We were there with 3 kids under 7. It took way to long the kids were exhausted by the time their food arrived. Very very disappointing as we love Pizza Delight.

Ordered a party pizza for my staff. It was not what I wanted in terms of toppings and it was poor quality
absolutely appalled. waitress didn t introduce herself or check only took our orders. I (vegetarian) asked the waitress to confirm there was no meat in the dish I was ordering, she said no meat. upon eating 1/4 of it discovered there was in fact meat. after waiting about 15 minutes for take out boxes we eventually left with over half our food still on the table, I expressed my distraught to the waitress while actually crying, who then argued with me, and blamed me for not asking about the sauce called back for weeks looking to speak to the manager who I was told was apparently was never in the store. if I had my time back I wouldn t have even paid for it. as an experienced restaurant worker myself, I would never argue or blame an upset customer
Made online order for curb side. Notified them when I arrived as instructed. No one brought out the order . Called as instructed after waiting, on hold over 10 mins went in to pick it up , waited another 10 mins, went in order not ready then items missing from order . Seemed to have no idea of the order. No apology.Other customer experience the same who were waiting . Workers didn t seem to be organized at all.

Asked for extra sauce and extra cheese for my 15 inch cheese pizza. Got less... and the 12 inch garlic fingers had cheese on the center fingers, none on the outside. Ive been eating pizza delight for 20 years, because I love it. but not sure if Ill go to the mountpearl location anymore.
Very disappointed when I came in with lot of expectations. I asked for extra cheese in nachos but there was barely any cheese at all. Whatever cheese was there it got stuck in top of the box

Recently in the last week I had an order in early. Set it up approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes prior to needing to pick it up. So when I showed up to get it as the email told me to do so, I pay for my food, and then I am told it will be ready in a few minutes. A few minutes turned into roughly 30 minutes standing in the store watching other people walk in and get their meals and checking out. No explanation was given. Once I got the order and brought it home, it was cold as ice. Needless to say I was quite upset with both the service and the product. I do not think Ill be spending my money here again.

This is our favorite pizza delight location - mount pearl. Staff is always friendly, food is fast and hot. Quick on the refills which I like.
Food was good and service was fine but I felt like the whole place needed a good scrub - down. Not overtly dirty...just felt like everything had a slight greasy film on it.

Lasagna was good, service was horrible. This one poor guy was taking table orders, phone orders, clearing/cleaning tables handling the cash. He did it all. He deserves a raise if they stay in business long enough. Im not sure when they decided have only front server. Dont go Mondays.

Ordered take out and the price was good for the amount of food we received. The best part was they messed up The toppings on one of our pizzas and was quick to offer us a second one free of charge with any toppings. They were had some great fast and friendly service.

They tend to Nickel and dime you a bit. (i.e. asking you if you want dipping sauces with donairs and not telling you there is a charge per.) Most places include the dipping sauce. Pizza buffet was ok. Nothing special.

Eat location in the metro area
Went today on my lunch break with 5 other people. There were only 3 other tables with customers, so the place wasnt exactly busy. 3 of us had the buffet, 3 ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered the chicken & bacon panini with fries. The fries came 20 minutes later. 27 minutes for the panini. Did I mention I was on lunch break? I have ONE HOUR. Waited 27 minutes for a panini I could have gotten next door at Tim Hortons in under 3 minutes. Needless to say, the 3 of us who had buffet were finished their meal before mine was even served. Completely unacceptable. A lunch menu item ordered at lunchtime when the restaurant was practically empty.
