Phoned in order, it was made wrong had to wait to have another pizza made!!
I give it a 4 because they do make the best pizza around in my opinion. The wings, fantastic. DONAIR IS INCREDIBLE. Cheese fries, incredible when made correctly. The items outside of the pizza and wings are inconsistent. Sometimes it's made wrong, sometimes it's right. The nachos are the worst nachos I've ever had. Like I even said ok I'll try just the cheese nachos and they even messed that up lol. The cheese comes off the chips into a burnt pile on the bottom that is stuck to paper so you can't even peel it off. Sent a message about an error on my order and they didn't bother responding. Didn't surprise me with what I've heard the owner is like. Obviously doesn't care about customer service. Stick with donair, pizza and wings, you'll be happy
First my order was written down incorrectly. Complete cluster with all workers except one lady who seemed to be manager. Two female employees arguing with the one man chef out back. Two door dash customers being served prior to my order being lost as it sat inside the warmer, which the cashier already read the name, which again was so far off. Did I mention their "Halifax Style Donair" was served without cheese & completely cold. 🤔 so disappointed 😞 as I am born & raised Halifax
Horrible experience. Order was wrong. Not cooked pizza. Try to let them know via FB and they block you. Owner is completely unhinged. Not allowed to complain or ask them to fix an order. For events or pizza or anything I would never order from them
Unfortunately, I had an awful experience with this place. My husband and I ordered donairs for supper and had hair in our food. I reached out and was told that the owner "would get back to me about it". Fast forward almost two months and still nothing. I've tried reaching out again and again, only to be told the same thing each time that the owner "will get back to me". No sign of getting my money back or anything of the sort. Definitely can't recommend eating here if this is the way they conduct their business.
The pizza crust is great, the sauce is perfect, it was a great tasting Pizza! We also had garlic fingers and Buffalo wings. The garlic fingers were delicious and the Buffalo wings were done perfectly, with just the right amount of spice!! I would order from them a third time!!
We are from Toronto and were visiting for the week. Our plane got delayed so we stopped here for dinner. I’ve paid $50 for pizza before and this was honestly the best pizza that I’ve had in my life. 100% recommend. Staff were also super friendly and attentive!
Well I went to big cheese and ordered a supper donair with. Cheese 2 extra pitas and 1 extra donair sauce total $39 and change I had been looking forward to trying there donairs since seeing the post that they had a new donair cooker . So I get home (I live approx an hour out side Mt Pearl) got ready to prep the 3 donairs . When I opened the tray holding the meat at first it looked good as it was covered with lots of cheese onions and tomato. As I moved the cheese aside I saw the meat cooked to death and burned . What I was served is what most donair places would slice off and Thro away (in my opinion). So I didn't want to make a public post I privately messaged the store on FB telling what I've shared above . The only reply was send pictures which I did (see attached) . It's been 3 days now and no further reply . This is not good. I made original msg to let the mgmt. Know what was going on in the store so they could deal internally to improve service . But since they clearly are to busy to respond to a coustomera concerns I thought I'd share with every one . Maybe now I'll get a reply. The pic shows one of the three donairs we threw away after trying to salvage dinner the other two are under Neath . This is where the food was when they asked for pictures. Garbage was only place this was fit.

This pizza place has a surprisingly good sports bar section for sit down and dine-in eating. The walk in service is good but cursory as they are quite busy with take out pizza, which is their main feature. The pizza is a classic pizza joint pizza that will satisfy the need for a cheesy bite. Available for delivery on skip the dishes and door dash.

I wish I could give zero stars. They will not take cash which is legal tender. And they dont stick to their store hours. Open and close whenever they feel like it.

Came here recently with my aunt because this is one of her favourite places. For pizza and donairs. The owner came and chatted with us and he was so sweet and kind. Made sure everything was good and it shows he does care what he does. Staffing was an issue and hopefully they find the people they need. If I m ever in the area again I ll definitely stop by!
Had this for supper today and the family all agreed it was great! Talked about doing a little job with the owners but they didn t need it after all so There was no payment needed but they gave me a free comp jumbo pizza for my time! Great people! Thanks guys! For anyone saying theirs may have been undercooked I always ask for well done anyways to always avoid that problem as pizza shops will always go with 10 mins recommended times anyways!
Amazing service right before closing. Cody was very accommodating, professional and friendly. Even though it was closing time he still made sure we didn t feel rushed and provided amazing service.
Great food! Atmosphere was a little all over the place. 2 Tvs playing different shows with both volumes on and music playing. The server was nice enough to put both tvs on mute so we could enjoy our experience better( but I had to ask).

Last week, my father (a senior citizen) was overcharged $50 due to a debit terminal malfunction. A $10 order for 2 pizza slices turned in $60. The owner refused to return the money and was downright rude and nasty. Customers lost! Sad!

The owner of this store has done nothing to assist with the overcharging of $50 for a local senior citizen who only purchased $10 worth of food and was charged $60 by mistake, and who cannot afford to lose than kind of money. The owner will not refund it and has said there is nothing they can do, which is false. At this point the store is not worth anyones money if the issue isnt appropriately rectified.

Avoid at all cost, the owner is extremely rude and takes no accountability for legit negative customers experiences. I won a food prize online and when I went to redeem I was told they changed books and my name wasn t in the new book. After reaching out to the owner for a resolution I was called a thief and dismissed outright. He also lied to the group that awarded the prize saying that I claimed the prize already, I had not. He would rather make an enemy out of a customer than admit his ineptitude. He also tried to belittle my complain online by arrogantly giving away free product in spite. Glad he can t delete these reviews as a way to censor wronged customers

Big Cheese is probably my favorite pizza joint in the city. Pizza is always hot and fresh with plenty of cheese and toppings. Lots of sauce too so no need to ask for extra like some places that are skimpy on sauce. Donair sauce is made in house too not that awful prepackaged stuff. Garlic fingers are also amazing. Keep it up big cheese!

Tried this place for the first time on recommendations as we heard it s amazing! Unfortunately what we got was really under cooked and when we thought we were getting bacon bits it turns out it s barely cooked bacon strips. Dripping with grease! The taste isn t awful but not worth the hassle having to cook it again yourself!

Traveled from downtown St. Johns (20minutes one way) to pick up a couple pizzas for the kids birthday.. Got back home and both pizzas were way undercooked, dough still raw. Called and they said bring them back in and will replace. Drove back in and picked up 2 fresh pizzas again, O ly to get home and the EXACT same thing. No discount for the trouble or even offered for them to drop off the pizzas.. So an hour and a half wasted driving back and forth, 20 odd bucks, and two very sad birthday kids

Our family tried the Sunday Buffet today and it was fabulous. The staff and atmosphere was very friendly and they had a perfect variety of breakfast foods!! We will definitely be going back- The price was great and so was the food, the place was packed so everyone else thought so too! I also heard great things about the weekend supper buffet so that will be next to try.

Been coming here for a slice every now and then.. and yep. Still the best slice in Mt. Pearl. Pleasantly chewy with a semi-sweet tomato sauce, thin (but not too thin!), Im never in a bad mood after having one.
Bought 2 nachos for my daughters 13 birthday and a personal pizza. Everyone who ate the nachos ended up with food poisoning, those who ate the pizza were fine. Spoke to the owner Jim who refuses to accept it and he said we all just picked up the stomach flew at the same time. Said hes not dealing with it and then hung up in my face. Will never order from there again or recommend to anyone.

Ive been ordering Big Cheese for years as I love the value you get for your money; the toppings are varied and they never skimp out on loading things up. I particularly love the tex mex chicken (give it a try!) and I believe you get the most pizza for the money at 16.99 for a 18 pizza. On the night the review is based on my group ordered two 24 Half and Half pizzas that were half 4-topping pizzas and half bacon-cheese garlic fingers. They were on special for 21.99 each and for 6 people there wasnt a whole lot left by the end of the night. My combination of taco beef, tex mex chicken, pepperoni and real bacon was the most extinct. It was ready 20 minutes after order and came with three containers of donair sauce. If a complaint could be made it was the sauce was cold from a fridge but it still tasted great and nobody minded. Historically my girlfriend has found one of the delivery drivers to be a bit creepy but that was easily four or five years ago. What I saw last night was much different. The girl at the counter was super friendly and sweet, there was a guy doing stock that was happy to help people find the coldest drinks and was ready to pop a joke, and there was a guy out in the kitchen working hard with his game face on. So nothing but positive feedback from me.

I am from Halifax, home of the donair. I ve eaten donairs all over this city, and have been very disappointed. I had lost all hope, until my roomie suggested this place! It is just as good, maybe even better than any Halifax donair. It s better than almost all I ve had there, and is right on par with the best places, easily. The only huge difference, however, is the fact that my donair up here has so much meat on it, I couldn t pick it up!!! I had to use a fork lol. That s not a bad thing. This place is the best! Too bad I m going keto soon! Haha. If you want a donair place, come here, trust me!!!

Called to ask if I could return it myself and get a refund, the guy pretty much laughed in my face and said its not his problem because his driver has a thermal bag.... will never go there again and am telling everyone I know to beware!
