Excellent spot to go for some pub grub and to watch the game. Monday and Tuesday wing nights are the best times to go if you don't mind a crowd.
The Bigs, Mount Pearl Food: Mostly very Good Service: Depends on the server It was one of our favorate places to go for a Friday night meal. I mean 2 to 3 Fridays a month. Aug. 25, 2023, My wife & I went in for a meal. The server was new. My wide explained how see liked her meal. It got messed up & the head server blamed my wife because they had to make it again. I ordered my usual hot coffee to go with my meal. I sent it back because it was old & cold. I didn't realize until the next day that they charged me $7.99 for a specially coffee. We stopped going there until we got invited to join some people there for a birthday celebaration. We slowly drifted back. Last night we there for a meal. My wife had her usual & I ordered wings with my usual hot coffee. Coffee was warm but tolerable. When the meals were served, I asked for a refil of my coffee but i wanted a hot coffee. The server refused to make a new pot & warmed the old coffee up in the microwave. Needless to say, this was my last time.
This place was absolutely horrible. Me and my boyfriend went there for supper on a Sunday evening. We both ordered the steak which was super overpriced and over seasoned we couldn’t even finish it. The fries were like mush and the corn on the cob was super well done and wasn’t eatable. The garlic bread was the only decent thing on the plate and it was burnt… not only was the food bad but our sever was super rude. She didn’t introduce herself, she like dropped our drinks on the table spilling a bit and didn’t even bother to wipe it up. When she came with out forks and stuff she pretty much just tossed it on the table giving me a bit of fright as I wasn’t really paying attention and before I could look up from my phone she was gone again. We also ordered nachos to go and and they were made before we even got our food because I was gonna ask for something not to be on them and I was told it wasn’t possible because they were unfortunately already made… I also made a complaint to the store but I haven’t heard anything back yet because the owner is away at a golf tournament. So needless to say we won’t be going back
Im absolutely disgusted in the call I just had with a "manger". Zero regards that I was given the wrong food in my order and drove to bayroberts with it , so now I'm with good to throw out and my step son now needs to get supper picked up out here ... I was told only way they'd even consider the mistake i need to drive it back , I offered to send pictures ect ... i don't even care about the food now the management was disappointing....
My fiancée and I came here for dinner and drinks on Saturday, the food was delicious but the highlight by far was the service. Our server Trysten was very friendly, attentive and accommodating to my partner’s dietary restrictions. We hope to have her as a server again next time we come back!
This place was amazing. My very large family went there together (14 people) and our waitress was so great! she remembered every single thing every person wanted (and the place was busy!) the wait for the food wasn't too long and the music was great! I love all of the sports on the walls and tvs! I got the veggie version of the spicy peanut butter burger and it was delicious, so was the spinach salad. Everyone else also loved their meals. The price was slightly high but made up for it with the amount of food that came with each meal. I would definitely recommend going here for any occasion:)
We went to the restaurant on a two for one wings Monday. After ordering, there was a bit of a wait before we finally got our meals which were relatively tasty for the most part. Our server was friendly and courteous and there were no issues with the service that we received. All in all it was a decent evening out with friends and family. Would give 3.5 stars if possible.
Was here a week ago and did it ever change my perspective on this location. Most of the food was awful, so greasy it was really bad. We ended up taking our spinach dip home so we could actually eat it without rubber like chips. We told our waitress and all she said was “oh” completely ignoring what we said. I had to ask for ice in my water twice until she went and got it. It completely changed me & my family’s outlook on this location. We travels over an hour for horrible service and extremely greasy food that definitely wasn’t drained when it came out. I was hesitant on changing my review but after all that i needed to. We weren’t offer to have a new plate brought out or even a discount seeings, very disgusted. Wont be coming back to this location ever again.

Went here to watch game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Place was blocked but the service was great despite how busy it was! Food, service, drinks, everything was perfect!
Got takeout nachos and wings, they were okay, but the loaded nachos got pretty soggy fairly quickly.
Nice local sports bar. The staff are great. Wing night is Monday and Tuesday.
I love the wings and extra cheese Nachos at Bigs! My only complaint is that I gain a few extra pounds every time I eat there.

The service here is outstanding. We have been here on a number of occasions now and find the food to be top notch. We also have found just how clean this place is. All in all a 5 star place to dine and enjoy all kinds of sports. Thanks to the staff you are all excellent!!
Food is going downhill. Sad because this was my all time favorite place to go. Bring back 4 cheese tortellini. Spinach dip wasnt great last week either.

For a wing night. The wings werent good at all way to much sauce. The pasta was to dry and the seating area was very cold. There was even two other tables that people were sitting at were eating with their coats on.

Honestly, if youre eating in, its your standard pub grub and youre more than likely gonna have an alright time. My takeout experience however was abysmal. Ordered the food through Door Dash and were given a pickup window of 5:37-5:47. Awesome. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant, but 15 minutes in an insulated bag isnt going to be the end of the world. However, I get a notification at 5:23 that the food is ready for pickup. Why? Now its gonna sit out for 15 minutes before I even see the food, and then another 15 minute drive home. Im annoyed, but whatever. My assumption was that because it was ordered through Door Dash, maybe the kitchen staff doesnt have the pickup window information, so they just make the food as soon as the order comes in. Ill bring it to their attention and it can be looked into so it doesnt happen to people in the future. I get to the restaurant to pick up the food, it then takes about another ten minutes for them to bring out this already cold bag of food. I mention the situation, and am told that yeah, we get the order windows, but the kitchen staff will make it early if theres nothing else to be at. Like what? You intentionally prepare the food long before the order window? Absolutely atrocious. Be better. Unsurprisingly, the food is ice cold by the time I try and eat, not to mention the order is messed up. Its not worth the time or effort to go back and complain, because this is completely normal to them apparently. Im just hoping someone will see this and I can hopefully prevent someone else from getting completely screwed over for ordering online.

The service there is the best. Courtney is the best, her people skills are excellent, I will definitely be returning there when I visit Mount Pearl again. Never disappointed.
I would give 0 stars but this option wasnt available. My friend and I went there for supper, we were waiting on a third person to join us. When she came in the waitress took her drink order and never came back. We waited 30 minutes and ended up leaving, we will never go back. We never had the chance to try the food though and unfortunately we wont be back to try it.

Visiting Newfoundland while on holidays seeing our son. From Ontario. Our son said he always wanted to trying eating here so we did. The servers are great and the atmosphere perfect. Very clean. Not noisy music wise which is nice. Nothing worse than being blared out of a place Parking: Lots of places to park

The booths are too small. Meaning the space between the table and where you sit is too narrow.
The prices have unfortunately gone up, but the food is still good. Staff is nice. Atmosphere is nice. Parking: Depending on the time, it gets decently busy
Not sure what happened here tonight. Waitress was amazing I would give five stars for her other than that food was horrible. Everything was raw and cold. Fries weren t even half cooked soggy and limp, chicken pizza edges were okay but chicken and top was not melted. Soggy and not cooked in the middle and cold, Quesadilla was so undercooked cheese was still hard and veggies were raw and cold. The wings were really good we ate the wings one piece of pizza none of the fries or quesadillas asked for a box so we could bring it home and cook it in the air fryer. Way overpriced for something we needed to bring home and cook ourselves.
Potato skin appetizer and 2-for-1 wings were great. Atmosphere was all a hockey fan could ask for. Prices were reasonable considering current economy, and service was friendly. Only negative was waiting for the check to arrive; took far too long after our meal and drinks were finished.
Good food for a sports bar as expected. Been going for years. Disappointed in the portions however. The photos added dont do justice for how small the portion of chili is @ $10 plus tax

We ordered wing, wrap and a Mexican dip office platter for a staff meeting. Every tray was fresh, hot and, as always, delicious. We could choose our flavors and the customer service was exceptional! Great choice for party trays!!
Great place, we have been many times and are always pleased. Service is always fast and friendly. Their Thai dill wings are cravable and will keep you coming back for more.
The roadhouse burger is absolutely delicious and made perfect every time! Mount pearl location is always on point. Cant say the same for freshwater road though. Parking: Small cramped parking lot at the mount pearl location

Great wings!!! Our work usually has a large pickup order weekly. The 2 for 1 wing special on Monday and Tuesday is a great deal. Always friendly staff, orders always correct, pleasant experience everytime.

The food was great, the service was great. There was some kind of wood chopping competition and a hockey game on, wood chopping was on the table TVs and we asked our server if we could have the hockey game on, to which she checked with her supervisor and got it changed for us. This was my first time here, and I had a really great experience.

Spicy peanut butter burger was yummy. The deep Fried pickles were really good as an appetizer as well. The wings and rings are a good light lunch option. The number of beers on tap are borderline excessive.
Great experience! Our server, Madonna, was fantastic! She has a great sense of humor and we connected right away! The Irish Nachos, Wings and Sweet Potato Fries were delicious. Good selection of beer on tap. Fun place to spend a Friday night with friends!

Fries are not nice, dry spiced wings are too salty, forgot dressing for Strawberrry salad and club sandwiches were not great. Picked up at bar side and staff was friendly but order was over 15 mins late from time supposed to be ready.

I genuinely love the food at The Bigs. Im a Chicken Fingers and Fries guy, and their boneless wings fill that need in a way Ive yet to find elsewhere. The size and thickness of them with how long they are cooked for makes a perfect combination, and the fact that I can add a Hot Dog to my meal is a game changer. Their sauce choices are wide and wicked, and the menu at large has a lot of options. Great for eating in as the staff are awesome and the space is nice, nice big parking lot and easy to get to - right off the highway. Highly recommend for families and friend gatherings.

Food was good! Service was good! But Im not sure if they understand the social distance rule. The booths wrapped around the center area with tables arent separated with barriers or 6 feet apart, so it was very uncomfortable for us and the people behind us. There was two families with more then eight had to separate because they said they dont move tables together due to covid, even though theyre probably in the same house hold. Poor kids had to sit separated from their dads on fathers day!
Visited last evening and I have to say that i felt like i was an inconvenience to the establishment. Been at this location numerous times with amazing service and great food but this visit was different The ultimate Nachos were burned to a crisp and i should have sent them back but it was late and i was not in the mood to wait another half hour. Very dissapointed to say the least

Not even worth the 1 star I gave it, wife and ordered from Bigs and you their not good when a restaurant has more 200 iteams on the menu. Ordered clubhouse and baked potato, clubhouse tasted like fish. My wife ordered Philly cheese steak and poutine and poutine tastes like fish, and the Philly cheese steak had more fat in it than steak meat way too much sauce in to throw off your taste buds. Horrible place to eat, sorry but Bigs is into Quantity more than Quality of food.

Decent food for a sports bar
The service from waitress was excellent. However the same cannot be said for the manager. I complained about the fish not being fresh and looked like it was cooked half dozen times. Manager said because I ate one piece (which I had to force down) she couldn t take the meal off the bill. Very poor service as far as I am concerned. Wish I had to take a picture to show everyone how disgusting it looked before and after cutting the batter. Thanks for letting me rant

Go-to place for nachos and wings- never a disappointment.
I had the cauliflower bites with the lemon pepper seasoning. They would have tasted good but they were very unevenly seasoned. Some parts of a bite were absolutely covered in it while being unseasoned at all on another part. This led to huge concentrations of lemon flavor that was unbearable unless youre capable of biting into a lemon. The parts that didnt get any seasoning tasted great, however.
The food was alright, nothing to make me want to go back. Also way too expensive for what we purchased. We had a cheeseburger with fries & a soda drink each & onion rings as a starter. We paid 70.00for our meal plus we gave a 15 % tip because the waitress was really nice.

Nov 13th 2021. We ordered the spinach dip as a starter. It came out hot and very tasty. We then waited for over an hour for our mains, only for the waitress to tell us the kitchen lost our order and we ould get a 10% discount. I would rather to have not been offered anything. The food came out and our wings were cold and nothing was really hot. Our waitress was amazing and super nice and could only do what her manager allowed so I place no blame on her, but what restaurant makes their customers wait 90 minutes for their food and then only offer 10%? This restaurant got a 2 star review ONLY because our waitress was so great.
